That he has the funniest possible 3 foils in that era bc like…those three guys could not be less his vibe ~personality wise if they tried. Feeling very curious if you think there’s anything to the idea of how Marc was the first alien-era rival he had who was more on his level all around? Like early days Marc was kind of just 😀😀😀 all the time but I do think he can be v charming and is clearly extroverted as hell (tho like…notably also a loner but like…not by choice??). Like idk where im going w this but the contrast is interesting to me. IDK

to some extent! I'm not sure I'd necessarily call marc an extrovert, you can be charismatic and cheerful without being an extrovert - but also this is splitting hairs. the og four aliens are one guy who's on the 'roughly as extroverted as you can possibly get as a professional athlete' end of the spectrum and three guys who are on the 'roughly as introverted as you can possibly get as a professional athlete' end. now, tbh, I don't think valentino massively minded this. he's extroverted but crucially he's also got enough charm going for him that he could get his rivals to chat with him if he was so inclined. he had an increasingly friendly relationship with dani, there's real genuine warmth in how both of them talk about each other - ultimately dani might have been quite sullen and withdrawn in general, especially in his early years, but he got on well with valentino. casey and valentino had perfectly decent interpersonal chemistry, they got on well, and tbh they were still warm with each in-person long past the point where that relationship had rhetorically soured. with jorge... I mean, okay, no chemistry there, but that was also very much valentino's choice. I do not fundamentally doubt valentino's ability to charm twenty year old jorge lorenzo. I think just because they were DIFFERENT characters, that doesn't necessarily mean they weren't valentino's *type* personality-wise, like he does seem to be happy enough to be the chatty one who draws them out of their shells in that scenario. unless competitive necessity requires otherwise!! but as marc discovered, somewhat higher levels of extroversion does not protect you if that's the case

I will say I know you do put alien-era as a caveat, but it is still important to point out that marc is very much not the first valentino rival who doesn't fall in the introverted loner camp. valentino had a rival who matched his vibe!! who he had a real proper off-track friendship with, who he went on holidays with, who he had a warm relationship with for substantially longer than the marc/valentino honeymoon lasted. I think you can see the early marc era as a bit of a return to the friendlier vibes of the early noughties, but crucially it is a return. the early noughties was the last gasp before the sport came to be completely dominated by a bunch of young prodigies who had been moulded into perfect athletes and had less chance to grow into people outside of the sport - valentino is already part of that camp in everything but temperament, cf the contrast with biaggi. in the early noughties, he was surrounded by a bunch of older riders who varied dramatically in disposition... biaggi was the guy everyone had issues with, capirossi was always fond of valentino, kr jr he got on well with, he played a mentoring role for in hayden's rookie season... and of course, most importantly, the friendship with sete - now there's an obscenely friendly rivalry right until the very moment when it isn't. 2013-14 is a bit of a return to that more congenial climate, but at the end of the day that lot were still less likely to socialise than riders were back in the day. they just didn't have the time lol

so yeah, I mean. valentino clearly did take to marc on a personal level, and marc is definitely closer to valentino on the introversion/extroversion spectrum than the three other aliens are. though that is also... not difficult. there is something quite funny about how 2006-07 went from valentino's pov. the engine regs changed, valentino literally blinked and suddenly all his opps were toddlers. went from goofing off with capirossi on the sepang 2006 podium to running a daycare centre overnight. and marc is part of that! it's also a massive change in that suddenly, valentino was surrounded by rivals who had been influenced by watching him ride as they grew up and were all really, really, really weird about him. marc with his little bike collection, jorge with his dabbling in pseudoscientific schools of psychology, casey and his championship-winning shirt, dani... well, tbf, I do actually think dani was pretty normal about valentino - probably because he'd known him the longest. had gotten drunk with valentino in the days when the bloke was just an idol and not a god. which is an underrated reason why the dani/valentino relationship never got so weird imo, one that goes beyond competitive calculus - dani was the most capable of interacting with valentino as just another guy. with all three of marc/jorge/casey, that idolisation dynamic does contribute significantly to the interpersonal turmoil

but that's a topic for another day! in conclusion, marc defo the dispositionally cheeriest foil of the alien lot, albeit somewhat by default, and WAS part of the reason why motogp got a bit of a mood lift in that 2013-14 period after what had just been a dire few years vibes-wise. mediocre racing, devastation caused by the financial crisis, tragedy... motogp was feeling quite lifeless in 2011-12 in particular, and those years do have a bit of a drab energy to them. in that sense, what followed was a bit of a reversion to the mean until the vibes completely went off the cliff. have they ever recovered? who can say

HI oh my god i have so many thoughts. I think I'm gonna keep posting fanart so this definitely isnt gonna be my last word on the matter but wow what a game! um... idk if I wanna just type forever but I can give you at least a few key thoughts I had...

It took me a second to get into! I had been waiting for the switch port so I was really excited starting out but there were a couple early play sessions months apart where I was struggling with the controls and overwhelmed with the openness...I have a hard time with a lot of open worlds games because I just..dont have a lot of free time LOL. But I was complaining abt this to my brother and he was also having a hard time rly digging into the game so when he flew over to visit me a couple weeks ago I was like ok lets do this together (incentivizing gaming by making it social/co-operative). And we had a blast!!! it rly is the type of game you can play as co-op just by having someone else on the couch or on stream doin the thinking alongside you or bouncing theories off of. I do think he's a much better puzzle solver than me though lol (he works in research, so he's got that researcher brain), he made a lot of the leaps of logic way early while I was still turning things over in my head lmao.... AND he's better with the controls because he plays a lot of flight sims?! i think he got annoyed watching me bumble around anytime i had the controller. my sole contribution was doing the stealthy parts in the dlc because im stupid and consequentially lack fear.

I kind of grew up playing majoras mask and windwaker like that was the era of zelda games I was rly activated and engaged for as a kid and I didn't realize how much I was missing and craving that type of experience again LOL. I think especially with how I personally felt that tears of the kingdom was narratively and structurally a step down from botw... idk... i mean you can tell from interviews abt Outer Wilds that the devs clearly have a lot of affection for and thoughts abt the Zelda series as well and I think Outer Wilds was like such a good encapsulation of everything I loved abt those games and also everything I wish they would do lol!! IT ALSO kind of solved a lot of my pain points with open world games and did it in a way that was so elegant... like I think i initially recoiled at the openness but then when i started exploring and realized the scope and level of detail it rly clicked into place.. im just in awe.

umm i love every hearthian they were all so charming. it rly did feel like an older school of nintendo rpg where every npc has so much personality lol. i loved that every alien race in the game was some weird animal like the designs for all of them were rly good. i love that it was a "worn" universe and that everything looked old or used. I love astronomy and space and space concepts but I don't really like really lofty and impersonal/minimalist scifi so i feel like this was a great and accessible art direction for me personally. i especially thought the backpacking/outerdoorsy aesthetic was really inspired! I think "exploration" sometimes exists on a spectrum where one end of it can be really colonialist/militaristic LOL... UM which im not like. fully against i think it can be an interesting idea to dissect? but i feel like we see it a lot and it was neat to see this which felt like the complete opposite end of that spectrum. weirdly enough playing Outer Wilds made me immediately go and finally finish Firewatch right after but I felt a little spoiled I was like ehh..that was good but it wasn't Outer Wilds LOL.

i think a lot of the themes reminded me of lord of the rings/tolkien lore LOL IDK. I GUESS THIS IS LIKE BIG SPOILERS SO if you havent played dont read but like. the entire concept of being born at the end of a great and enormous world/age with a rich history and you only getting to see the end of it, living in the shadow of great civilization...keeping your humble home in your heart idk. but then also the new world being a song ... I'm a sucker. I love it.

ok wait it took me all the way until the boss battle in chapter 7 for it to really hit me why the switch ost remakes aren't vibing with me even though I don't think they're objectively bad or anything but.

hear me out comparing the original vs switch remake magnus von grapple theme

like I'm not denying some level of nostalgia goggles (for your ears) happening but it's also like, I don't think it's just like a Raw Nostaligia (like being a genwunner about it) thing either in that sense I think that's still coming from a place of like, the older music being very intrinsic to being a part of the whole artistic composition of the game and what made it charming and memorable from start to finish

b/c if you compare these two versions, the original one is less complex and idk i lack language for music but, "epic sounding" you know what I mean, but it uses all these weird funky sounds throughout that, without even showing you who this theme belongs to, you might be able to glean what kind of boss it might be! The newer version builds on the main melody and it sounds great and all, but the robotic-alien like sounds end up more in the background, and I just feel like they're way too lost?

I think the switch version sounds great if it were like, a pokemon gym leader theme, THAT'S EXACTLY what it actually sounds like, that's what it makes me picture. and it makes sense given the switch era is like all these 3D pokemon games with ost's composed in this same sort of epic? orchestral? (music words.. idk..) style. but the ISSUE I have is that it doesn't lend itself as well to the aesthetic of like paper mario cause like at the end of the day it's not a 3D pokemon battle it actually looks like this

BUT THE THING IS WITH THAT.. is like my point about the older music being so APART of the artistic composition ... like, the whole world being this papercraft pop up book thing, and the battles take place on a stage with an audience like pic above, it just gets me feeling like the less complex track with all the funky weird sounds makes more sense for a battle you're doing on a stage against a robot that looks like a box with like zigzag paper for legs? like it's supposed to kinda sound silly? but like personally like, as someone who's played through the game and that fight, it is a pretty like epic confrontation in the moment, and by chapter 7 your suspension of disbelief about all the paper and gimmicks is fully held, you're immersed in the world, so regardless of how "silly" anything looks or sounds, it doesn't take away from the challenges or like tone of the story happening (like after this battle for instance, there is an extremely emotional scene the story had been building up to that involves a character death, and I've seen people who've played the remake say it "still made them cry" going through it all this time later)

So that's kind of my assertion here, another strong one I'd back it up with is Doopliss' theme

I find the remake of his themes to be one of the done-dirtier ones!! because, again, it's not that the remake sounds BAD (though I could do without the sharty sounding additional layer they added hfsdgkdsgd what was with that), it's just that it's like, well this is some nice ghost type gym leader music...... but it seems particular egregious to make the changes they did like, getting rid of the church organ (his battle takes place in a steeple...), and pushing the church bells way to the background instead of like practically rattling your bones. like heres the thing with that ok. the chapter is called "for pigs the bell tolls" and the whole thing is when the bell rings a villager is turned into a pig. and it happens many times. sometimes we hear the bell ring off screen and the partner goes oh no mario do you hear that, who do you think got got this time,,, at one point the bell rings after like giving a mother food to feed her starving children and the kids start crying right in front of you. like this is another thing here where I'm like. the music is PART of the entire composition, the whole art piece, I think the track loses a lot of oomph when you're toning down this like, like leitmotif isn't the right word but it's almost like that!! it's this sound you've been hearing that's been a major part of the stakes of the story!

anyway but like........................the weird thing is I have seen very very few people like agreeing with me on this, most opinions I've seen even from like veteran players is that they really enjoy the newer tracks and find the older ones empty in comparison, which is fine and like TOTALLY okay and fair to have that opinion and like in my prev post about it, thanks to nintendo putting the retro tunes badge or w/e they called it, I have no reason to whine and gripe at all like I'm very happy and content because I've been having my cake and eating it too, it's just got me feeling conflicted because it has me wondering if like! like! if someone was going to play the game for the FIRST time......... I feel so compelled to tell them to use the retro tunes badge and experience it with the og tracks, because I truly wholeheartedly believe they are parts of the experience of the game as a whole work of art and the new tracks are just .. not the same, but it also makes me feel kinda like a dickhole genwunner bro like clearly everyone else agrees on the other side of things, I guess it doesn't like Super matter in that sense like it's not like my world will end if they don't experience a piece of work in the 100% more perfect way I think it should be experienced (b/c thats subjective) but maybe part of me is like am I crazy though? like surely I can't be the ONLY one who feels this way, pleading emoji, does anyone else get me about this ...... pleading emoji x2

(and probably what i'd do in the recommending which music to experience case tbh is just like, read me on the Hear Me Out thing and maybe listen to a few tacks to compare the styles but ultimately just go with whatever personally Sounds good to them cause like in the end honestly if someone just thinks the whole og ost sounds shitter than the newer one then it would only take away from the experience to like Tolerate music they don't like than just like enjoy it with the new tracks!)

Hello and howdy peeps it is yo girl again with another post but this time its dolls yeah that's right dolls! Okay but really I just wanted to do a post about discontinued dolls because I thought it would be nice and fun and since I haven't posted in a while I thought it would be a good thing to come back with and well here it is.

Numbah 1. Novi Stars

I didn't have these dolls as a kid and I didn't really like the look of them although now I think they look really rad and honestly alien dolls? Amazing idea! I am not sure but I think these came out near the end of Bratz. They were made in 2012 and didn't last very long and ended in 2014 and like I said as a kid I didn't really like the look of these dolls so I can understand why kids didn't really flock to these dolls maybe since well where would they fit in like with me I played with Bratz with other Bratz i never played with another doll and a Bratz doll it just didn't feel like it fit in that universe but anyways the doll line only had 20 dolls and the names they came up with are very smart and I really think it's cool. If these were to come back I would probably buy them as long as it's a reasonable price. I can't see these coming back anytime soon but hopefully one day they will but since they I assume weren't as influential or popular as Bratz it will probably take time for them to come back to the world.

Numbah 2. Lalaloopsies

These tiny (and big) dolls also came out around the end of my doll phase or I guess the best way to put it is when I was not getting into the newer dolls and toys. Lalaloopsies were these plastic ragdoll type dolls by again none other than mga entertainment they came in small and in some series big some also had hair and some were just plastic hair. I had some although I didn't play with them much but they were very charming and different from the other dolls I really like this era of dolls because they weren't meant to be humans they were just whatever like above aliens and just really whatever. These dolls also came with super adorable playsets and little pets just like another doll I will be talking about later on this list. Pretty sure I had almost all of the Lalaloopsies in this photo but I do not have them on me. There are at least 156 residents in Lalaloopsy land and 88 of them are tall, 39 are mini and 35 are little there are 150 females and 8 are males. They also have a or had a show on Netflix. Do I think these dolls could come back? Absolutely yes.

Numbah 3. My Scene

My Scene were a doll line from 2002 made by Mattel. They look like the popular Barbie doll but with larger heads and have more similar fashion to Bratz, Mattel and Barbie's enemy/rival and have 3 movies (also is it just me or does the art style remind me of the show 6 teen?) Later through the years they had a decline and sadly they were discontinued. Do I think these dolls can come back? Difficult I feel like they could as long as the clothes are from good fabric and stylish and a part of me feels absolutely not. Mattel has had a really good kid friendly image with Barbie and I feel like a lot of parents would freak if they saw these doll. I didn't play with them as a kid actually I didn't even know about their existence AT ALL! But since I was really into Bratz I could totally have seen myself playing with these dolls as a kid i think their fashion is amazing and again I would love to see them make a comeback.

Numbah 4. Bratzillaz

I know this should be criminal to have Bratz under a Mattel doll I apologize but I wanted to save the best for last. So Bratzillaz are Bratz but they are witches with magical powers and were made to compete with Mattel's Monster High Dolls at the time. They were made in 2012 but later discontinued while Bratz were being rebuilt since a lot of parents didn't like the look of the Bratz. These dolls were meant to be the cousins of the Bratz and they also had a web show. I had quite a few of these dolls maybe one day I will make a post about the dolls I had idk it will probably be a mini post but these dolls were pretty cool. I loved how the legs, hands and arms could move and the fabric they used was pretty nice. Do I think they could make a comeback? Eh maybe one day but I think MGA should just focus on the Bratz when they can before these dolls.

Numbah 5. Yummi Land

Okay alright so I know this photo only shows one doll and that's because I had this doll. Her name is Mindy Mint Chocolate Chip and she smells like mint and like every Yummi Land doll they smell like what the character is named. This is yet another MGA doll line one I would absolutely love to come back why? Because I feel like they weren't around for a long time and I think they are absolutely lovely and different and I although I have said I didn't flock to many dolls that were different I feel like this is one I could see younger kids loving and I would totally buy them. These dolls were introduced in 2006 with a movie called Betsy Bubblegum' Journey through Yummi land. The doll lines included Soda pop girls, creme soda pop girls, candy pop girls, flower pop girls, ice cream pop girls, smoothie pop girls, sundae pop girls and a holiday special doll named Paris Peppermint Creme and another called birthday pop girls. I do not know how many of these dolls there are but just like Lalaloopsies they come in small and big. The doll I owned was a big one. What I loved about these dolls is that they came in bottles idk if anyone else gets interested by how things are packaged but for me I love it so these dolls coming in bottles were just really cool and if they ever made a comeback I hope they keep the bottle idea which now I will answer, do I think these dolls can come back? Yes. They are cute and I think a lot of people especially kids would love them because they smell nice and are just really pretty even the small ones could come back I think. I don't know how small those ones were but Barbie Peekaboos and Polly Pocket have been a thing therefore I think these dolls could make a return.

I grew up with a lot of dolls and I think some of them had really cool ideas and were different and I think that's cool. I really like how some of them were really girly and just cutesy and I think little girls would absolutely love Yummi Land dolls. I wish I had more growing up but I only had one although I remember another girl who was older than me as a kid getting one too I think she had blonde hair with all that said I will have the linkla below and I will see you next time

a thing i am doing right now is i am writing a post-canon cardassia garashir fic BUT it is wholly made up of primary sources and secondary sources discussing garashir in later cardassian society because in present canon cardassia is like homophobic so their relationship was kept verrrrry private, so a lot of historians in the future debate over whether garak and bashir were together or not. ambiguity and all that. im a history major. all the secondary sources are post-post-canon when cardassia is like. more socially liberal about certain things, where the writers are reflecting on that period of cardassian history. anyway these are the sections i have written / planned so far

bashir's will that asks for certain documents to be preserved “for the sake of historical preservation, so that future generations may know Elim not just as a patriotic statesman but as a warm and loving man.” <-- homo

a book on present-canon cardassian homophobia, going into the social history. this section got really long because i talked about trans cardassians navigating around homophobia a lot. bc the homophobia is from a place of “you have to have children” but like (binary) trans ppl are okay so like those people who marry in ways that don’t appear childbearing tended to have children really quick to escape that. but yeah i still need to finish this bit bc i need to actually talk about the homophobia not just the trans people

a federation relief worker’s notes on a briefing about power rationing, which is some further explanation about why the fuck star trek people would be writing letters on paper instead of their weird ipads

second letter garak sends bashir. idk what’s gonna be in that yet but i do know garak says “your doodle of me was charming but inaccurate”. just one side of the conversation bc bashir kept his letters from garak while garak read the letters bashir sent him, memorized them, and destroyed them for security reasons.

record request emails from a cardassian history graduate student to a federation archivist asking for access to any messages from the o’briens about bashir but oh no :( the o’briens only marked for archival some videos of their grandkids :( and also a video of a random cardassian kid from bashir? weird. this one was really fun

one of the last messages bashir sent o’brien through starfleet comms that’s like right before he leaves for cardassia. nothing Concrete but definitely Hmmm-able

an excerpt from a book about the history of offworlders on cardassia, which includes a letter from one of garak’s political opponents as an example of reactionary xenophobia. basically it’s just a letter where this dude is very rude and homophobic about bashir. but it’s fine because he uses fake homophobia

political cartoon where bashir is portrayed as a seducer trying to get cardassia to assimilate into the federation. meant to be kind of funny imo. might commission karin to draw it for me. i think bashir tried to frame it in their house but garak like super hated it but idk if i can squeeze that in

transcript of an interview bashir gave on his views on cardassian politics, trying to be like “haha im just here to be a doctor, im not trying to be a spy or anything, but yeah i do agree with the people who like social programs and the rights of the disadvantaged etc etc”

an excerpt from a speech parmak gives like a decade after that after a piece of orphan rights legislation got passed that thanks bashir for the consultation and support. heheh

third letter from garak to bashir. probably like. subtly indicates that their relationship is on the verge of romantic. the last letter

idk where this will go but cardassians discussing a federation documentary about The Heroes Of The Dominion War that says “oh yeah bashir went on to become the first naturalized citizen of cardassia. elim garak became an important figure in the new cardassian government. they were common law married” and the cardassians being like THEY REALLY SAID THAT? and some cardassians being mad and some cardassians being like Someone’s Fucking Saying It Finally!

still thinking of other sections that go a bit more into their children/married life. maybe also some other incidents. the thing about this is it’s such a fun little exercise to think of different ways to angle into this relationship and this society through surviving primary sources and variations on secondary sources. it’s a puzzle though because i want a lot of differentiation

im thinking ill conclude it with like their great great grandchild releasing some documents from them that confirm their relationships that were meant to published like a couple centuries later when hopefully cardassia was more accepting. because i want gay people to get the last laugh and assert their places in history and regain control over how society sees them. yk

Character A is the textbook definition of predictable and boring, or so it seems. They’re a pre-med student, having few friends and living life on a tight schedule. Class, study, work, sleep. Lather, rinse, repeat. Not the type you’d give a second glance. Unknown to most, however, is Character A’s rather… dark hobbies. Having purchased a small fixer-upper on the very edge of town, they’ve used a small loan of their wealthy parents’ money in order to repurpose the decrepit house into something far more sinister. Much like it’s owner, the house appears ordinary and even quaint on the outside. But peeling away this innocuous facade, one exposes a dark secret. A soundproofed basement, filled with various and vile instruments of torture and with blood permanently stained into the concrete floor. It’s Character A’s sanctuary, where they retreat to vent their desires on whatever poor souls they’ve managed to trap. They’re careful in the selection of their victims, of course. They’ve done their research, they know what precautions to take to avoid suspicion. Lately, the town that Character A lives in has seen a decrease in the homeless population. People that no one notices missing, the kind that can disappear without anyone really caring. Character A is, of course, responsible for this. Enter Character B. Their backstory and position in society is totally up to you. Maybe they’re a fellow student, or maybe one of the few police officers who’ve noticed the disturbing disappearances of most of the city’s homeless? Or, maybe they’re some vagrant, lacking any true home and finding themselves wandering from city to city. Regardless, they happen to catch Character A’s interest. And soon, they become an unwilling object of their obsession. Character A has never experienced anything close to romanic or sexual attraction before, and so they deal with these alien emotions the only way they know how to. No matter what, they resolve to make Character B totally and utterly theirs. Even if they have to kill Character B’s family and friends in order to do so.

Character A is a creature made from nightmare and chaos, a primordial and ancient being that resides in the darkest, most ancient reaches of the universe. And now, for the first time in their infinite existence, they’ve become bored. Having exhausted all other forms of entertainment, they decide to don a human guise, spending to them what seems like a brief time on Earth. They live a few lifetimes, kill a few kings, and topple a nation or two, before deciding to take on yet another identity in the modern era. This is when they find themselves drawn to Character B, a human (everything besides species is up to you tbh). Perhaps it’s because they’ve spent too much time living as a mortal, but for whatever reason Character A finds themselves experiencing an undeniable attraction. They soon find themselves slipping deeper and deeper into this lust, becoming obsessed with this human and vowing to do anything in their power to make Character B theirs.

Character A has been trained from birth to become the perfect killer. An orphan taken in by an assassins’ guild, they’ve known no other life, and have never had any thought of escape or rebellion. They’re well known as one of the best assassins in their guild, and oftentimes get the most dangerous and lucrative jobs. However, their newest assignment might prove too much even for them. Character A is no stranger to killing important figures, such as ambassadors or even princes. Though, they’ve never been hired to kill a king before, much less the one of a powerful, wealthy country, the king being Character B. Of course, their pride and greed prevents them from denying such a task, and so Character A sets out to complete their mission. From here it’s more up to you. Perhaps the assassin becomes closer than they should to the king while working undercover, trying to find an opportunity to kill him. Feelings begin to complicate things, and Character A begins to question if they can go through with it. Or maybe Character A fails their task? While attempting to sneak into the castle, they’re captured. And instead of killing them, Character B decides to have a bit of fun with them. They make Character A their concubine, and resolve to utterly break any spirit of rebellion or resistance within them.

ѕσυℓ fσя ѕαℓє **** (Demon x King/Prince) (im ok with either role!) Character A is the a member of a powerful nation’s royal family. Groomed from birth for greatness, they still find themselves doubting their aptitude for leading their country. Or maybe they’re the youngest of the princes, set to inherit nothing but meager riches and a small plot of land. Whatever the reason, they end up contacting a demon in order to achieve their goals. The tomes Character A has read say that, in exchange for one’s mortal soul, a summoned demon will grant them unlimited power. After performing the ritual, however, Character A begins to have some regrets. The summoned demon, Character B, seems to have more control over Character A than they do over the demon. Perhaps they should’ve read the fine print in the contract…

Yet behind those seemingly friendly eyes, there lies something dark. A spark of ill intent, a malicious gleam that speaks of unwholesome desires and intensions. Character A is one of the few to notice this. His suspicions only deepen when he notices Character B’s powerful revulsion towards symbols of worship. He resolves to rid his town of this seemingly demonic invader, though he soon learns that Character B has their own plans for him…

Though when Character A finds them tied up at the altar, helpless and ready to be devoured, they do something odd. Something about this human intrigues them, so much so that they decide to have a bit of fun with them before killing them…

Character A is the leader of a large cult, which makes its base of operations deep within the rolling deserts of Arizona. A seemingly utopian society at first glance, the cult is run as a commune. No one truly “owns” anything, all property owned by the community itself, the means of production shared. A perfect society, as long as one doesn’t dig below the surface. In truth, Character A holds all of the members under their thumb. No one is allowed to leave, unless they want to face complete ostracization from everyone they know. Not to mention that they would be completely without possessions or money in the free world. The members that Character A favors live privileged lives. They live in the best housing, and oftentimes have multiple spouses. Character A has quite a few spouses as well, and are allowed their pick of anyone in the commune to do with as they wish. Those that displease Character A, however, have a very different lot in life. If they don’t simply “disappear” into the vast desert one day, they are shunned by their peers. Forced to the very edges on the commune, they are not allowed to speak to anyone. Character B is a newcomer to the cult. Before long, they find Character A’s eyes on them, and find themself being courted by them. Life seems good, for a while. Until they begin to learn the dark secrets behind the cult, of course. Will they try and escape, or do anything to avoid falling out of Character A’s favor?

They're a pre-med student, having few friends and living life on a tight schedule. Class, study, work, sleep. Lather, rinse, repeat. Not the type you'd give a second glance. Unknown to most, however, is Character A's rather... dark hobbies. Having purchased a small fixer-upper on the very edge of town, they've used a small loan of their wealthy parents' money in order to repurpose the decrepit house into something far more sinister. Much like it's owner, the house appears ordinary and even quaint on the outside. But peeling away this innocuous facade, one exposes a dark secret. A soundproofed basement, filled with various and vile instruments of torture and with blood permanently stained into the concrete floor. It's Character A's sanctuary, where they retreat to vent their desires on whatever poor souls they've managed to trap. They're careful in the selection of their victims, of course. They've done their research, they know what precautions to take to avoid suspicion. Lately, the town that Character A lives in has seen a decrease in the homeless population. People that no one notices missing, the kind that can disappear without anyone really caring. Character A is, of course, responsible for this. Enter Character B. Their backstory and position in society is totally up to you. Maybe they're a fellow student, or maybe one of the few police officers who've noticed the disturbing disappearances of most of the city's homeless? Or, maybe they're some vagrant, lacking any true home and finding themselves wandering from city to city. Regardless, they happen to catch Character A's interest. And soon, they become an unwilling object of their obsession. Character A has never experienced anything close to romanic or sexual attraction before, and so they deal with these alien emotions the only way they know how to. No matter what, they resolve to make Character B totally and utterly theirs. Even if they have to kill Character B's family and friends in order to do so. тнє нσяяσя σf συя ℓσνє *** (Eldritch Abomination/God x Human) Character A is a creature made from nightmare and chaos, a primordial and ancient being that resides in the darkest, most ancient reaches of the universe. And now, for the first time in their infinite existence, they've become bored. Having exhausted all other forms of entertainment, they decide to don a human guise, spending to them what seems like a brief time on Earth. They live a few lifetimes, kill a few kings, and topple a nation or two, before deciding to take on yet another identity in the modern era. This is when they find themselves drawn to Character B, a human (everything besides species is up to you tbh). Perhaps it's because they've spent too much time living as a mortal, but for whatever reason Character A finds themselves experiencing an undeniable attraction. They soon find themselves slipping deeper and deeper into this lust, becoming obsessed with this human and vowing to do anything in their power to make Character B theirs. ωє киσω ωнєяє уσυ ѕℓєєρ ********* (Assassin x King) Character A has been trained from birth to become the perfect killer. An orphan taken in by an assassins' guild, they've known no other life, and have never had any thought of escape or rebellion. They're well known as one of the best assassins in their guild, and oftentimes get the most dangerous and lucrative jobs. However, their newest assignment might prove too much even for them. Character A is no stranger to killing important figures, such as ambassadors or even princes. Though, they've never been hired to kill a king before, much less the one of a powerful, wealthy country, the king being Character B. Of course, their pride and greed prevents them from denying such a task, and so Character A sets out to complete their mission. From here it's more up to you. Perhaps the assassin becomes closer than they should to the king while working undercover, trying to find an opportunity to kill him. Feelings begin to complicate things, and Character A begins to question if they can go through with it. Or maybe Character A fails their task? While attempting to sneak into the castle, they're captured. And instead of killing them, Character B decides to have a bit of fun with them. They make Character A their concubine, and resolve to utterly break any spirit of rebellion or resistance within them. ѕσυℓ fσя ѕαℓє **** (Demon x King/Prince) (im ok with either role!) Character A is the a member of a powerful nation's royal family. Groomed from birth for greatness, they still find themselves doubting their aptitude for leading their country. Or maybe they're the youngest of the princes, set to inherit nothing but meager riches and a small plot of land. Whatever the reason, they end up contacting a demon in order to achieve their goals. The tomes Character A has read say that, in exchange for one's mortal soul, a summoned demon will grant them unlimited power. After performing the ritual, however, Character A begins to have some regrets. The summoned demon, Character B, seems to have more control over Character A than they do over the demon. Perhaps they should've read the fine print in the contract... υинσℓу, ∂ιяту, αи∂ вєαυтιfυℓ **** (Demon x Priest) Character A is a young man of the cloth, the leader of a small congregation in a rural midwestern town. He leads a simple, devout life, right up until a mysterious, dark stranger (Character B) rolls into town. Charming and charismatic, they manage to win over most of the townsfolk. Yet behind those seemingly friendly eyes, there lies something dark. A spark of ill intent, a malicious gleam that speaks of unwholesome desires and intensions. Character A is one of the few to notice this. His suspicions only deepen when he notices Character B's powerful revulsion towards symbols of worship. He resolves to rid his town of this seemingly demonic invader, though he soon learns that Character B has their own plans for him... тєяяιвℓє αиgєℓѕ ****** (Fallen Angel x Sacrifice) (im ok with either role!) Character A was once an angel, a creature symbolizing purity and virtue. But, through their own hubris and sin, was cast out of heaven to make their way on earth. They've used their time on the mortal plane well, however. They've managed to start a small cult about them, convincing their human followers that they are god incarnate, come to earth to cleanse the impure and gather the righteous. In order to prove their devotion, the members of Character A's cult must make an annual sacrifice in their honor. Enter Character B. A regular human, they find themselves next on the chopping block for this year's sacrifice. Though when Character A finds them tied up at the altar, helpless and ready to be devoured, they do something odd. Something about this human intrigues them, so much so that they decide to have a bit of fun with them before killing them... мє αи∂ тнє ∂єνιℓ ******* (Cult Leader x Acolyte) Character A is the leader of a large cult, which makes its base of operations deep within the rolling deserts of Arizona. A seemingly utopian society at first glance, the cult is run as a commune. No one truly "owns" anything, all property owned by the community itself, the means of production shared. A perfect society, as long as one doesn't dig below the surface. In truth, Character A holds all of the members under their thumb. No one is allowed to leave, unless they want to face complete ostracization from everyone they know. Not to mention that they would be completely without possessions or money in the free world. The members that Character A favors live privileged lives. They live in the best housing, and oftentimes have multiple spouses. Character A has quite a few spouses as well, and are allowed their pick of anyone in the commune to do with as they wish. Those that displease Character A, however, have a very different lot in life. If they don't simply "disappear" into the vast desert one day, they are shunned by their peers. Forced to the very edges on the commune, they are not allowed to speak to anyone. Character B is a newcomer to the cult. Before long, they find Character A's eyes on them, and find themself being courted by them. Life seems good, for a while. Until they begin to learn the dark secrets behind the cult, of course. Explanation for the "I'm a creep im a weirdo but i do belong here" pretry please?

(text posts here) sachsenring 2010!! this is valentino's first race back from his leg break, a return that is very much a head of schedule and he's still on crutches off the bike for the first couple of races back. his absence has brought a bit of a downturn in vibes in his relationships with both jorge and casey separately, which... in both cases is kindaaa mutual. infamously jorge made the rather misguided choice to show up to the mugello race with his "everybody can feel pain, but not everybody can be a legend" placard and then to the podium with a bright yellow vr46 shirt. now, whether you see this as justified or not, I think it's fair to say that a lot of people doubted the sincerity of this gesture, given jorge's main title rival had essentially been taken out of the picture AND given the context of the internal yamaha power struggle. and the placard, rightly or wrongly... well, it was seen as kinda tacky. cringe

obviously jorge wasn't really going to be particularly upset that valentino had fucked his title bit, which is where the accusations of insincerity came from. he did also imply shortly after the race that valentino's practise crash came because of the pressure jorge was putting him under in the championship (x):

(fwiw, there may have been some truth to that - the crash was probably caused both by his tyres having cooled off too much when he let another rider by who was searching for a tow... and how hard he was pushing. ofc the context in that season is that valentino was already struggling with his title defence in large part because of the shoulder he injured in a motocross accident after the first race of the season, so he did very much need to take advantage of his beloved mugello track. see here for more context)

which, again. did damage the perception of jorge's sincerity. as the interview responses hint at, jorge probably did have somewhat complicated feelings about valentino's absence... given jorge's form and valentino's shoulder injury (which ended up affecting valentino well into 2011, remember casey tastefully alluding to it after jerez), you'd have to say that jorge would have been the favourite anyway that season. then again, valentino did his best to hide how bad the shoulder injury really was, only admitting a lot later that he was worried it might be career-ending when it stubbornly refused to heal - at this point in the season, jorge still very much stood to benefit from valentino's absence. but the problem was that this absence inevitably would be used to discredit jorge's title, in the same way (if not quite to the same extent) people talk about the post-2019 titles. obviously, this is massively unfair, none of these titles come with asterisks - but that's just how the discourse goes. and, well, jorge will have been aware of that pretty much immediately. AND he was still processing how much his title hopes had changed! even an impaired valentino is dangerous, and jorge had already experienced last year how the momentum could be wrenched away from him. post-2010 jorge has committed to the line that he was leading the championship anyway when valentino crashed, but in the immediate aftermath he was still a bit more conflicted

this is only barely relevant, but as ever I do have to shoehorn in the jorge/dovi situation and bring back dovi's comments, bitchy in a wonderfully understated way, about jorge after that race:

whereas casey... well, look, casey was just in a horrendous mood for much of early 2010. he was thoroughly sick of ducati, had basically already finalised things with honda though that was still kept quiet for a fairly long time - and not only was he disenchanted with the ducati management, but the bike had now progressed to being 'unrideable even for casey stoner' levels of shit. he crashes out of a comfortable lead at his beloved qatar circuit, and after that he just about manages to keep his results... respectable, but obviously a long way away from what he'd like

also, idk man, you can just tell when he's kind of On One, where he's just consistently tetchy in his interview responses and in the mood to have a swipe at his competitors. memorably he said at silverstone how much nicer things were without valentino's fans, which is very funny but also kind of a wild thing to say about your rival who's out with a broken leg. (casey always a bit weird about his rivals' injuries!!) it also represented a bit of an escalation in the rhetoric of that particular rivalry, which really had been Fine more often than not in the post-laguna period. to some extent, casey truly had been sitting on his grievances for years - and as the power balance of that particular rivalry shifted, he increasingly took advantage of that to openly have a go at valentino. but also, he really was just pretty ill-tempered. like I'm sorry but why is dani catching strays like this (also from silverstone)

but again I cannot stress enough how this is just how basically every casey response read from this time period. like just one more example, this from catalunya --

so idk man, I just find it a charming weekend. like the vibes are so. blehhhh. it's weird vibes!! remember, this is what valentino said in october about his relationships with casey and jorge:

the perception kinda was that casey and jorge finally gathered up the courage to have a go at valentino when he got injured, which isn't COMPLETELY fair but also isn't entirely wrong. and valentino himself is quite bullish and frustrated and wants to prove a point with his return. it leads to that lovely little battle for p3 with casey at the sachsenring that casey JUST clinches, after which of COURSE they're all nice and lovely to each other on the track (see here from the last time I started going on about sachsenring 2010), including that photo where it looks like valentino is perilously close to poking casey's eye out:

and THEN they have a bit of a go at each other in the press, with valentino's whole 'well EYE don't have a problem with how casey rode but if I had ridden like that then CASEY would have had a problem with it' and casey's thing about how everybody was making too big a deal about valentino's return from injury and his main problem will have just been losing some muscle ("everybody's going on like he's a crippled hero"). which I feel like kinda set the baseline for general bitchiness for the next two and a half years. the next race of course was laguna where casey and vale were once again perfectly lovely to each other in parc fermé when they both made the podium behind jorge. AND of course that is an all time great podium because it's the one where they accidentally play the italian anthem rather than the spanish one

I’ve just watched Beauty and the Beast today and I need to talk about it.  So if you want to avoid spoilers stop reading now.

First, this movie hits you right in the childhood.  All of the songs from the original are there, and there’s even some new stuff.  I love it just for the nostalgia factor alone.

Belle is still Belle, but a little different, a little updated.  The movie explains that the enchantress took the memories from the people who knew the prince, so we know now why none of the villagers knew there was a fricking castle a few miles from their village.  The prince isn’t a kid when he was transformed, but a full grown douchebag, nobody ages while cursed and they all come out the other side the same age.  And Mrs. Potts is absolutely Chip’s mother, not his grandmother, say otherwise and she will fuck you up.

Belle’s still an outsider, someone who doesn’t fit it, but we see her trying to teach a little girl to read. In English, despite them being in France, but whatever, we’ll pretend. The townsfolk are not happy about it either, they even dump Belle’s laundry on the dirty ground.  After she went through the trouble of inventing a washing machine type thingy with a barrel. You’d think the other ladies in town would be all over that, but nope.

The movie is super weird about that; there’s the expected sexism of the era, but not the racism or homophobia.  Which is great, because there’s enough of that in the real world, thank you, let me escape into fairy tales. Back on point, the movie has actual black characters, and two interracial couples.  I mean, they spend most of the movie as furniture, but it’s a step in the right direction.  And no one seems to mind Lefou, who is totally and obviously in love with Gaston.  Mrs. Potts tells him at one point he deserves better, and there’s a small moment at the end (very small, like only a second) where he starts to dance with another guy. (Stanley, I think is his name. idk.) Also, the wardrobe puts 3 guys in dresses and tells them to be free and one of them looks pretty happy about it.  None of this is especially groundbreaking or anything, but compared to the original it’s doing better.

Also, I really like what the movie did with Lefou.  There’s this sort of reverse parallel between Belle and Lefou, where Belle is learning the beast isn’t such a beast and Lefou is learning that Gaston is.  Lefou does some things he’s clearly not comfortable with because of Gaston, and when Gaston wants to kill the beast, Lefou tries to speak out against it, but is threatened by Gaston and goes along with him. When we get towards the end with the angry mob attacking the castle, Gaston uses Lefou as a sort of human shield (which is funny to watch, but has to suck for Lefou), and Lefou later gets trapped and asks Gaston for help and Gaston leaves him to go kill the beast. Gaston literally lifted him with one arm earlier in the movie, it would have taken him less than a minute to help Lefou, but he didn’t because he’s an ass. And Lefou finally realizes that and switches sides mid-fight, saving Mrs. Potts and punching some guy.  In this version, he’s not just Gaston’s fawning little sidekick, he’s an actual character coming to terms with his relationship with his bff being one-sided and toxic.  Lefou gives me feelings, okay.

The one thing this movie does do is reaffirm my belief that Gaston is the worst Disney villain of all.  He isn’t a wicked stepmother or evil queen, he doesn’t have magic, he’s just your average, ordinary guy. He’s attractive, he’s charming, he’s charismatic, and he��s a self-centered narcissist. But he’s the kind of guy you could meet in the real world, the sort of guy who thinks he’s entitled to a woman, the sort whose rotten to the core but able to stir people round to his way of thinking by charm.  And he’s easy to dismiss as harmless, because he isn’t outwardly evil, just vain and annoyingly persistent. Until he straight up tries to murder Belle’s dad.  By leaving him to be eaten by wolves, because he won’t give his blessing to marry Belle. Then blatantly lies about it later, and has Lefou badly lie to help cover it up and everyone just believes him. None of us know any Mother Gothels or Malificants, but we’ve all met a few Gastons. The world is full of Gastons.

But there’s something interesting about Gaston here.  He’s called captain by Belle’s dad, he’s been in a war.  I’m not sure which war, but given the rate of illiteracy in the village I’d say it was pre French Revolution.  That and they all seem pretty happy to go back to having a prince, so definitely pre revolution. It’s a fairy tale so I’m not to concerned about historical accuracy, so there was a war and Gaston was in it.  And he enjoyed it.  I think something may have came unhinged during the war.  War messes people up mentally and that could play a part in Gaston being so...Gaston.  Though that’s not really what interests me.

Gaston was a captain, an officer, which meant he was in charge of other soldiers.  He has to have at least some brains for that, seeing he isn’t exactly nobility and hasn’t got social class on his side to help him. So he had to earn that title.  And he says something about Belle’s book in the beginning, and Belle is surprised, asking if he’s read it.  Considering he’s trying to woo her, the smart thing would be to say yes as it would impress her.  Instead he says no and makes some dismissive comment.  Either he’s telling the truth and realized Belle would call him out on the lie, or he’s lying to keep up a certain image. I personally think he’s lying.

The story is set in a time period when the working class, the common folk, were largely illiterate.  There was no public education, and only the upper class could afford a private education.  Belle’s being able to read doesn’t just alienate her because it makes her odd, it alienates her because it’s something they can’t do, something they were never afforded an opportunity to learn, it others her and makes her seem like part of another world, an upper class they could never be part of.  It isn’t just that Belle is different, they resent her.

And Gaston sees that.  He sees how Belle is treated and he doesn’t want that for himself.  So he plays dumb to keep up his image.  He says something about screwing courage to the sticking place in his kill the beast song, so he’s quoting Shakespeare.  That doesn’t mean he’s read Shakespeare, he could have seen his plays performed, likely while he was off somewhere in the war.  But then I can’t imagine that either, seeing as Shakespeare doesn’t seem the sort of thing his friends would watch, it’s a bit high-brow, (ironically enough, considering in its day it wasn’t.) So that leads me to believe he read it on his own, for his own enjoyment.  His attraction to Belle might not have been purely because she was beautiful, but also because she was clever and different.  He might have even seen her as a kindred spirit of sorts.  There would be something darkly ironic in that. Belle initially despised the beast but grew to care for him when she saw who he was underneath the anger and bitterness, when he was willing to stop demanding her attention and open up to her.  It might have been the same for Gaston, if he had ever learned to stop demanding and show he was the sort of man Belle could care for under it all, if he had been willing to change for the better.

The enchantress gets a bigger part, helping save Belle’s dad and break the spell, and posing as a spinster/hobo. She doesn’t seem evil, and you know, her cursing the prince did get the villagers a decade without taxes, so that’s a plus. Also she might actually be a fairy, so maybe human morals don’t apply to her. Cursing the prince and all his servants was a dick move, but hey

Overall I liked it.  There’s still the problematic elements any love story that starts with kidnapping has, but it’s mostly cute enough for you to overlook because it isn’t real life. The songs are catchy, I want to live in the castle’s library, and everything was very pretty, if not vaguely creepy.

another thing about that incident is that it seems like the fan doesn't think Changkyun and Jooheon undersood them?? (an extension i guess they assumed they don't understand english very well) and that's pretty problematic. it seems to me that when they didn't respond the fan assumed they didn't understand and kept repeating it, as a joke. but they literally did That to the two with the most proficient english in the group... it's rly a mess all around. it's disrespectful through and through

The whole thing about Knetz and wonho's "scandalous" past reminded me of something. As a PSA to those people who are so insistent and pushy that idols aren't allowed to have sex/date/be anything but straight: Fuck all of you. You do not own these people, and if you really cared about them you'd be happy if they were happy. Like tbh, if anyone that famous and busy could also balance out a relationship at the same time, I'd be so happy for them. They're a pre-med student, having few friends and living life on a tight schedule. Class, study, work, sleep. Lather, rinse, repeat. Not the type you'd give a second glance. Unknown to most, however, is Character A's rather... dark hobbies. Having purchased a small fixer-upper on the very edge of town, they've used a small loan of their wealthy parents' money in order to repurpose the decrepit house into something far more sinister. Much like it's owner, the house appears ordinary and even quaint on the outside. But peeling away this innocuous facade, one exposes a dark secret. A soundproofed basement, filled with various and vile instruments of torture and with blood permanently stained into the concrete floor. It's Character A's sanctuary, where they retreat to vent their desires on whatever poor souls they've managed to trap. They're careful in the selection of their victims, of course. They've done their research, they know what precautions to take to avoid suspicion. Lately, the town that Character A lives in has seen a decrease in the homeless population. People that no one notices missing, the kind that can disappear without anyone really caring. Character A is, of course, responsible for this. Enter Character B. Their backstory and position in society is totally up to you. Maybe they're a fellow student, or maybe one of the few police officers who've noticed the disturbing disappearances of most of the city's homeless? Or, maybe they're some vagrant, lacking any true home and finding themselves wandering from city to city. Regardless, they happen to catch Character A's interest. And soon, they become an unwilling object of their obsession. Character A has never experienced anything close to romanic or sexual attraction before, and so they deal with these alien emotions the only way they know how to. No matter what, they resolve to make Character B totally and utterly theirs. Even if they have to kill Character B's family and friends in order to do so. тнє нσяяσя σf συя ℓσνє *** (Eldritch Abomination/God x Human) Character A is a creature made from nightmare and chaos, a primordial and ancient being that resides in the darkest, most ancient reaches of the universe. And now, for the first time in their infinite existence, they've become bored. Having exhausted all other forms of entertainment, they decide to don a human guise, spending to them what seems like a brief time on Earth. They live a few lifetimes, kill a few kings, and topple a nation or two, before deciding to take on yet another identity in the modern era. This is when they find themselves drawn to Character B, a human (everything besides species is up to you tbh). Perhaps it's because they've spent too much time living as a mortal, but for whatever reason Character A finds themselves experiencing an undeniable attraction. They soon find themselves slipping deeper and deeper into this lust, becoming obsessed with this human and vowing to do anything in their power to make Character B theirs. ωє киσω ωнєяє уσυ ѕℓєєρ ********* (Assassin x King) Character A has been trained from birth to become the perfect killer. An orphan taken in by an assassins' guild, they've known no other life, and have never had any thought of escape or rebellion. They're well known as one of the best assassins in their guild, and oftentimes get the most dangerous and lucrative jobs. However, their newest assignment might prove too much even for them. Character A is no stranger to killing important figures, such as ambassadors or even princes. Though, they've never been hired to kill a king before, much less the one of a powerful, wealthy country, the king being Character B. Of course, their pride and greed prevents them from denying such a task, and so Character A sets out to complete their mission. From here it's more up to you. Perhaps the assassin becomes closer than they should to the king while working undercover, trying to find an opportunity to kill him. Feelings begin to complicate things, and Character A begins to question if they can go through with it. Or maybe Character A fails their task? While attempting to sneak into the castle, they're captured. And instead of killing them, Character B decides to have a bit of fun with them. They make Character A their concubine, and resolve to utterly break any spirit of rebellion or resistance within them. ѕσυℓ fσя ѕαℓє **** (Demon x King/Prince) (im ok with either role!) Character A is the a member of a powerful nation's royal family. Groomed from birth for greatness, they still find themselves doubting their aptitude for leading their country. Or maybe they're the youngest of the princes, set to inherit nothing but meager riches and a small plot of land. Whatever the reason, they end up contacting a demon in order to achieve their goals. The tomes Character A has read say that, in exchange for one's mortal soul, a summoned demon will grant them unlimited power. After performing the ritual, however, Character A begins to have some regrets. The summoned demon, Character B, seems to have more control over Character A than they do over the demon. Perhaps they should've read the fine print in the contract... υинσℓу, ∂ιяту, αи∂ вєαυтιfυℓ **** (Demon x Priest) Character A is a young man of the cloth, the leader of a small congregation in a rural midwestern town. He leads a simple, devout life, right up until a mysterious, dark stranger (Character B) rolls into town. Charming and charismatic, they manage to win over most of the townsfolk. Yet behind those seemingly friendly eyes, there lies something dark. A spark of ill intent, a malicious gleam that speaks of unwholesome desires and intensions. Character A is one of the few to notice this. His suspicions only deepen when he notices Character B's powerful revulsion towards symbols of worship. He resolves to rid his town of this seemingly demonic invader, though he soon learns that Character B has their own plans for him... тєяяιвℓє αиgєℓѕ ****** (Fallen Angel x Sacrifice) (im ok with either role!) Character A was once an angel, a creature symbolizing purity and virtue. But, through their own hubris and sin, was cast out of heaven to make their way on earth. They've used their time on the mortal plane well, however. They've managed to start a small cult about them, convincing their human followers that they are god incarnate, come to earth to cleanse the impure and gather the righteous. In order to prove their devotion, the members of Character A's cult must make an annual sacrifice in their honor. Enter Character B. A regular human, they find themselves next on the chopping block for this year's sacrifice. Though when Character A finds them tied up at the altar, helpless and ready to be devoured, they do something odd. Something about this human intrigues them, so much so that they decide to have a bit of fun with them before killing them... мє αи∂ тнє ∂єνιℓ ******* (Cult Leader x Acolyte) Character A is the leader of a large cult, which makes its base of operations deep within the rolling deserts of Arizona. A seemingly utopian society at first glance, the cult is run as a commune. No one truly "owns" anything, all property owned by the community itself, the means of production shared. A perfect society, as long as one doesn't dig below the surface. In truth, Character A holds all of the members under their thumb. No one is allowed to leave, unless they want to face complete ostracization from everyone they know. Not to mention that they would be completely without possessions or money in the free world. The members that Character A favors live privileged lives. They live in the best housing, and oftentimes have multiple spouses. Character A has quite a few spouses as well, and are allowed their pick of anyone in the commune to do with as they wish. Those that displease Character A, however, have a very different lot in life. If they don't simply "disappear" into the vast desert one day, they are shunned by their peers. Forced to the very edges on the commune, they are not allowed to speak to anyone. Character B is a newcomer to the cult. Before long, they find Character A's eyes on them, and find themself being courted by them. Life seems good, for a while. Until they begin to learn the dark secrets behind the cult, of course.
