I'm kinda surprised we never really talk about Jin Zixuan's whole role in the turtle cave incident because like... wasn't he going against his clan's wishes by defending Mianmian? The Jins are described as being kinda fense sitters/ late joiners back in the Sunshot campaign, working against the Wens but being unproplematic enough that they'd be able to grovel and get back in their good graces (at least up until the point they were more or less guaranteed victory). But back at the cave, there's the Jin clan hier and he's being openly defiant toward the Wens from minute one and then stepping up to help Mianmian at the same time as Lan Wangji.
