I've either somehow become tone-deaf or am consistently struggling to stay at F5 for more than a note or two. Considering that the bottom of my range is pretty definitely around G3 if not higher (and I think people would Know if I were a contralto), this is... worrying.

Maybe playing the notes on a piano while singing makes it hard to focus on which they actually are? But otherwise I wouldn't even know which are the right ones seeing as nobody else in my family can play even as badly as I do, and the few backing tracks online play accompaniment only (seeing as you're supposed to provide the melody).
