Just speed read a Vampire AU fic that was actually good and ended in the couple getting married but also showed one person, the mortal, growing old and dying while the vampire stayed alive and the vampire partner mourning him after his death and all the years came flooding back to him at once and now I’m listening to El Triste by José José and crying what the fuck lol

#bear talks #this is why I didn’t actually fully read it because I would’ve gotten my heart ✨ shattered ✨#like instead of the little cry session I had I would’ve started literally sobbing #also idk if other ppl have this experience but #like I only spoke English or Spanglish growing up till now so it would stand to reason that if I need to be in my feels acutely #I’d reach for an English song but #i actually tend to reach for ballads in Spanish #idk maybe just cause we’re a strangely emphatically tragic people but it just hits more #and I started actually picking up Spanish from my family a couple years ago so I understand the lyrics easily #and it leaves me a sopping pathetic puddle of tears and emotions ✌🏽#if ur from an immigrant family but grew up speaking English do you still reach for songs in ur family’s language or do English songs hit #harder for y’all?? idk I’m curious. I’d figure it varies but
