Oh boy I can see this opinion getting blasted but I'm sharing anyway...
It's ironic how Betty was so ready to sacrifice herself to stay with Simon or to keep him sane and safe
Yet she couldn't stay with him nor care or love him when he needed her the most while he was going/was crazy
#idk just something something about thinking about the ice king situation as someone developing dementia#and everyone learning to care and/or love him. marcy. finn. jake. maybe pb as well#except the person he claimed was the love of his life#not saying betty is bad or anything. she's an amazing layered character#just saying she was obsessed with the simon she knew and refused to accept the person he became#and tried to rip ice king out of him. instead of finding ways to make the madness more manageable#at#adventure time#fionna and cake#betty grof#simon petrikov#ice king#and yeah. i know she tried to love him once#but she immediately gave up again when it went wrong (by external sources i may add)
