Sometimes I feel bad for killing Valentino in Roseverse because it makes me look like one of those people who thinks only Vox and Velvette are deserving of a redemption narrative or “I say I love the Vees but I really only love Vox and Velvette” which isn’t true, and I can’t stop people from thinking it anyway, so I just make up for it by continuing to stress the effect his absence has on Velvette and Vox.

#listen it was a sacrifice the island demanded #could I have given him a chance? yes #did it work for the narrative to have him die? yes #is this going to have far-reaching effects we haven’t yet seen? also yes #like for all that Val and Vox’s last moment was Val leaving him to die #that’s a Tuesday #vox and Vel DO miss him #they think about him frequently #idk it doesn’t matter but I know how common the mindset of FUCK VAL ONLY VOX AND VEL #and while I think Val is awful for what he’s done to angel #I still enjoy his stupid ass #red roses and dead things
