Hm so like. Instead of the Portal incident ever happening, Ford just goes a long with whatever Bill says. It's defs a gay situation obvs because ofc it is. And Fiddleford realizes and creates the Society of the Blind Eye to try to defeat Bill once he realizes that Ford is Too Far Gone™

Fiddleford ends up calling for Stan's help in the matter because MAYBE family will convince him what's going on??? It doesn't help any and Ford ends up trying to recruit Stan, who is SO unimpressed by bills manipulation tactics cause like. Stan knows those tactics cause he used them for his scams.

And like. There's a long fight between them. The Society grows in popularity a bit via Stan's charisma and Fiddleford's smarts and BillFord are manipulating people to follow their cause in any way they can

Eventually, Ford is called :) to take care of the twins for a summer. Of course he agrees! Who easier to manipulate and use for your own gain than 12 year old children! Nobody would suspect them.

Dipper falls for it so fucking easily. Mabel on the other hand is very... Sus of it all, and kinda realizes something is *off*. And like. Stan finds out about them being here and wants to see them, cause it's his family too! And he's SO concerned about them being around Ford!!! He does manage to find Mabel separated from them all and talks to her about it and asks if they're okay and Mabel ends up staying with Stan and Fiddleford instead of Ford and Dipper etc etc

Yeah Idk I think it'd be neat. Normally I try to do some kind of serial killer type au for things but I think a cult au would do SO much better for them.

Also this image is one of the ones that inspired my brain because I was thinking about what could possibly make Dipper and/or Mabel join the Society of the Blind Eye. I decided on just Mabel to make the split twin tension parallel to Ford and Stan's split.
