here's another tiny snippet of the christmas fic - i'm done with the sad part, now only fluff haha - just one and a half scenes and it's gonna be done just in time for christmas (also, I might have gotten a new idea for a christmas fic, where they decorate a tree - I wanted it here but it didn't happen and can't fit it in lol so that might also be in the works once this one is done haha - no promises tho, who knows lol)

“What’s- Christmas is tomorrow.” Buck points out with a small chuckle, but he tentatively takes the box. He glances at the tree in the corner, with a pile of gifts underneath, that they decorated together just a few days ago, after buying it together as well. It was the most domestic thing, and Eddie was dying to lean in and kiss Buck, or grab his hand, or just do anything, his feelings trying to leak out of him in any and all ways. Soon he’ll be able to shout it from the rooftops if he wants to. Hopefully.

“Yeah, but I wanted to give you one of your gifts a bit earlier.” Eddie scratches the back of his neck nervously. “Open it.” he adds excitedly when Buck��s just standing there, looking at the box. 

“Why am I the only one opening a gift early? What about you guys?” his frown deepens.

“Don’t worry about us, this is about you. Please?” he waves the question off, because it’ll all make sense in a minute.

“Just open it, Buck.” Christopher chimes in, excitement in his tone. Buck looks at him and his smile melts into fondness.

Glad to hear you are feeling better! My tutor said that not many people used pop up for their project so part of me took that as a challenge haha (also pop is so cool, there are so many intricate pieces out there!). My dissertation was "the power of music", but I'd deliberately made it vague because I didn't know what to focus on lol. I'm sort of looking at "does music make you smarter". The Mozart effect gets referenced at lot, but it only affects spacial reasoning not intelligence -🍧

There does seem to be a link between studying music and good grades, but it could also just be the students personality not the effect of music. An article i read suggested that when people ask "does music make you smarter" they imply "smarter at something else" which I thought was really interesting. It's definitely interesting to read up on. I think that music does make you smarter, but smarter at music lol. I'm always happy to share about my projects, it's nice when people are interested -🍧

My thoughts on uts. Firstly, it is such a comforting series. Idk how you do it, but every part leaves me feeling warm! I absolutely loved the whole book plot in wonwoo's part. Every part makes me so soft for the 95s, but you keep breaking my heart over cheol haha. I hope I don't sound impatient, but I'm v excited for his part. I can't wait for him to finally get his happy ending? I actually love uts (and all your other fics) so much. I hope you stay well! 🍧

hiii lovely, sorry for not getting to this sooner! i hope your project has been going well (and i hope you figured out pop up if you went with it! i love seeing the intricate pop up art <3). but ooo the power of music sounds like such a cool topic!! i get making it vague through, since i think its good when to stay vague when you're still narrowing down what you really wanna look into.

i can believe there's a link between studying music + good grades, but i do wonder if it's only a certain kind of studying music? like most people default to classical, but i legit listened to whatever i felt like when i did schoolwork/studied because not having lyrics made it harder for me to focus weirdly enough. the "smarter at something else" part is def interesting tho! plus it makes sense with the whole studying music being linked to studying something else. pls feel free to share whatever you like with me! i love hearing about other ppls pursuits, especially in academics <3

aaa tysm!! that means so much to hear, especially with some parts not being the most positive haha (kwan hao wonu) but i'm glad they still have that comforting/warm energy. im glad you enjoyed the book plot in wonwoo's part! i wanted to have some kind of connection to the teasers while stepping firmly away for wonwoo's to be more about him and the reader since reader getting the same ending as him would pretty much have meant they're destined. plus the shifting details is meant to stay in the same vein of 'weird shit happens' lol (also it was just fun to play around with writing something like a storybook).

hehe i'm glad abt the 95z tho! cheol might be the leader of the entire group, but i like making it clear that hannie and shua both also are an important factor in keeping everyone comfy/happy/cared for <3 also whoopsss (over cheol) <3 (its ok i break my own heart with cheol)

im glad ur excited though! trust me, i'm excited for it too. i have a lot planned for it and i honestly kinda think it might be longer than all the other parts once i'm fully done with it? but i'm absolutely satisfied with the plans i have, just gotta write the other parts to get to him <3

I just got done reading Easy Woman and I freakin loved it. I absolutely LOVED the line "With a racing heart and a sickening sense of déjà vu, you realize history is repeating itself, and you've already fallen again for Min Yoongi." Idk how many times I reread that line and each time ended with me clapping at how great it was. Your writing is AMAZING. I can't wait to read everything you have~~~

It’s month number two into this friends-to-lovers, dream relationship thing, and Yoongi is still not completely used to being loved this wholeheartedly by someone. It’s a nice change of pace to be the receiver than to give and give and give until there’s nothing left of him. That’s how his previous relationships always fizzled out and died - with him giving up everything of himself until he was discarded. If he had a dollar for every time someone told him that “you’re not the man I fell in love with,” he’d still be broke, but it’s the principle of the matter.

You are uncommonly open to him once you get over the initial disbelief that your feelings for him are reciprocated. You want to make sure that this isn’t just an incredibly realistic, mind-blowingly good dream. But once it’s confirmed that yes, this is Real, and that yes, “dating” and “Min Yoongi” occupy the same sentence in the affirmative, there is nothing of yourself that you hold back. He drinks it in like a man dehydrated. Yoongi wants everything from you, and you are more than happy to give.

“I love you,” you murmur into his ear while he’s walking you home after an ordinary date. Yoongi’s hand is warmer than yours for once, and it feels nice to have him next to you with your steps coinciding in almost perfect pace.

The platform heels you insist on wearing make it so that he doesn’t have to look down at you when he hears those words coming out of you while you’re sober. You’ve confessed your love to him over alcohol many, many times, but hearing your voice absent of any trace of inebriation freely admitting that makes him want to fly. He doesn’t stop walking and neither do you.

“Thanks,” he says, “for loving me.”

“Anytime.”

The two of you chat about nothing for the rest of the way, but both of you are walking much slower than usual in an unspoken agreement to prolong this for as long as possible. You nearly trip when Yoongi runs his thumb over your wrist gently, and ironically, it’s his firm yet gentle grip that keeps you from falling over. Yoongi walks you past the gate, through the front door of the apartment complex door, and even presses the button of the elevator for you.

“Get home safe,” Yoongi smiles, genuine and beautiful.

“We’re already here, and it’s only five floors away,” you reply.

Yoongi fixes his eyes on you and takes a step closer past the point of public decency.

“You might need help in the elevator?” Yoongi knows he’s pushing it, but he doesn’t care; not when you’re already taking his hand and pulling him into the elevator when it comes down to the lobby. It’s impulsive, and it comes easily to you.

You bite your lip as you look up at the cctv camera smiling down at you from its small corner of the elevator. Yoongi presses the faded “5″ button and then “close door” in rapid succession. His hand never leaves yours.

The elevator ride up to the fifth floor feels agonizingly long and quiet, with the two you overthinking everything that has already happened and everything that could possibly happen tonight. Ever since the day the two of you decided to date, he’s never been back to your apartment. The two of you have yet to share anything more than a heated kiss in the back of a taxi from time to time. And it’s not like you don’t want him in every crevice of your space; you’d even let him live in your place if he wanted.

You simply care too much, and it makes you both excited and nervous.

The elevator dings, and the doors part in a rickety screech because one of the mechanical parts needs replacing. The two of you walk twenty paces to the front door of your apartment. You are effectively “home” and now there is only the choice left of whether or not to invite him in, or to wish him a goodnight and attempt to sleep alone.

Yoongi thumbs your wrist again, reminding you of what you told him out on the street. Oddly enough, it feels so long ago. He stares down at you, not sure how to package his thoughts in a nice way; because he wants to come inside and drink half a cup of tea, kiss you and maybe, just maybe, indulge in a fantasy or two with you. He also wants to tell you that he loves you too - very much so.

Your heart thumps hard, or maybe it feels that way because you’re overly aware of everything.

“I’m not usually like this,” you begin, your volume softer than intended. Yoongi swallows in expectation as you blink rapidly, trying your best to tame down the beast of embarrassment that would manifest in backtracking and nevermind’s. “But do you want to come inside and maybe have a cup of coffee? Or tea?”

Your face and heart combust as Yoongi accepts.
