time for me to be obnoxious about an april fool's game at almost may wahoo ft. an unexpected moment of character analysis because i have no chill
TRAIN.
i hope this game is canon because rouge doing petty pickpocketing is my favorite thing actually
he has a wallet? and a home?
i could go on about how much i love these kids being unhinged and chaotic but unless i want to reblog this post a million times i have to cut it down. let it be known that i adore the kids and their antics tho
you know what i also adore? blaze committing crimes in the chaos dimension because she can get away with it. i think i need more of that in my life actually
although right after he says he doesn't wanna do more crimes i'd like to think he grows out of that opinion eventually. let the little guy steal stuff i want him to hang with rouge and have her make him worse actually
look here shadow's had it rough in the writing department for a while but i very much appreciated this plot point of him going out of his way to get concert tickets for amy and even (reluctantly) agreeing to go with her to said concert even if it isn't his cup of tea. i know it's more presented as him trying to y'know be polite and considerate and he's going about it in an edgy way but i'd like to think it's just his way of presenting things if you will? like he know what amy's favorite band is and sees how hard the tickets are to get so he goes out of his way to get them because he cares about his friend and knows how much attending a concert like that would mean to amy. and in terms of this screenshot in particular i also appreciate amy appreciating her friends' presence at her party even if they hadn't gotten her anything! sure it does kinda come across as her being bummed about not getting gifts from them and maybe she is but i think that's okay? like she's 12 (or 13 now i guess?) getting excited about presents is pretty normal, and it's not like she's super upset about it anyway. i think she genuinely appreciates her friends attending her party more than anything
i also found this a lovely little detail lol and it does kinda make sense! the bitch has been in stasis for 50 years and computer technology has taken leaps in that time, of course he'd be a lil rustier with them compared to his peers
more on shadow, this guy's brain goes overdrive the second he realizes he fucked up and needs to get something nice for his friend now. like i don't have the brain power to form it into words atm but i just love what this all says about him as a character!!
i could flail about the art in this game the whole evening honestly it's so lovely and colorful and pretty and i love how this scene is composed and shadow being seated on the windowsill idk this just put a big smile on my face when i saw it :)
frankly obsessed with amy's unhinged energy can we please get more of this bc i live for it
the fucking blowdart. i cannot tell you how fucking off the walls these teens are like espio's instructed to use a blowdart on sonic with non-lethal poison and he's like yeah that checks out and sonic's just like wow cool guess i'll snooze for a bit then like this shit is exactly why teenagers should be given superpowers and be put into Situations(TM) i love it
not an april fools game making me emotional over trains
and why yes i am obsessed obviously
it was a fun game! like tbh with a bit more content i would've been happy to pay a bit for this honestly (like. when im not broke lmao) like it's so charming and there were a lot of fun details and the jokes were enjoyable too. i just think it's neat :)
but yea that is all im glad sonic the hedgehog got murdered it was a great time
#soda offers you a can#the murder of sonic the hedgehog#also the minigames were banges actually i loved the vibes in them they were rad

okay actually i chewed on this a little longer and i do have some scattered ttrpg-making tips i'll just throw out whether anyone wants them or not (can't sleep. hi lol)
1. get your entire game written, to the point of final text, BEFORE you start making the pretty glossy final pdf. maybe this is obvious to everyone else but it was not to me for my first game and i got excited about the pdf and started making it before the core game text was finalized. this sucked!!!! every time i wanted to make an edit, i had to change it across all versions!!! FINISH THE GAME FIRST
2. speaking of pdfs, i've been using the website canva to put mine together and have generally really enjoyed it. graphic design is NOT my passion and honestly i sometimes find formatting rulebooks (and fussing about spacing and symmetry and shit) a huge drag, but on canva it's pretty painless. and if you don't draw or don't have the budget to commission art, they have a lot of nice graphics and clip art and stuff that are royalty free! ("clip art" gets a bad rap but i mean, like, cute stuff. idk go see for urself!)
3. speaking of glossy fun pdfs with graphics: you don't need one! a game can just be a word document. i will say the longer your game is, the more i think that more intentional formatting and some images will help keep readers' attention and guide them through it, but at the end of the day if the need for a pretty package would be a hurdle to you getting your game out into the world, fuck it.
4. if you can playtest, i really recommend it. i have tons of breakthroughs while playtesting, it makes me notice if something is off about the balance or the flow of gameplay, i get new ideas, it shows me if something actually doesn't make sense in practice or isn't fun, etc etc. if you're making a multiplayer game and getting friends to playtest, i recommend trying to shut up while they're reading the rules/do NOT add extra clarifications that aren't on the page if you're reading them the rules — you won't be in the room with future players once you share the game with the world, so you want to see how ppl interpret the rules as written (and if anything confuses them) WITHOUT your input first. if your game has concrete mechanics you want to test, like dice rolls/a token economy/etc, remember you can usually just blitz through and test those parts alone without doing any of the roleplay stuff in between!
5. if you can't playtest, don't sweat it. players are adaptable and if they run into a snag or accidentally break the game with something you overlooked or anything like that, they will figure it out, i promise. actually, "the players will figure it out, i promise" is a good thing to keep in mind throughout the entire dev process. this includes worries about making your game too niche or too focused in scope or "will anyone want to play this though, have i made it too XYZ" — if players are determined to play your game in one specific way or another they will bite and tear and find their way there, no worries. someone hacked my court intrigue fake marriage game to work for pokemon, including gym battles (and i adore that that happened). they will be fine
that is everything in my brain atm and is also more or less an overview of how i approach the whole process, kind of?????? get an idea -> brainstorm and decide on game type/mechanics -> write first draft -> playtest, if possible/relevant -> tweak and repeat until it feels good -> final formatting -> chuck it into the world and then people can play it. that's games!!!
Hello! Did you ever make a tutorial on how to make a ttrpg? I couldn't remember if it was you or Prokopetz and I couldn't find anything when searching your blog. Thank you in advance.
i haven't mentioned anything like that, so u must be thinking of someone else — but also, i wouldn't know where to start! ttrpgs are such a broad medium that i'm not sure how i would wrangle the idea of how to make one into a guide.
if it helps, i think the thing that was the most useful for me was just to read lots of other games! playing them is wonderful if u can, of course, but even just reading rulebooks through really helps get the wheels turning for me, and especially when i was trying to write my first one but didn't know where to start, reading a bunch of other games was what helped to teach me 1. what kind of game i wanted to make, 2. what games like that look like, etc.
if you have any specific questions on getting started, i would be happy to help as much as i can!

“The next day Scott apologizes to Allison, who’s a little bit upset. But hey, Scott’s a werewolf, so I mean, what are you gonna do, say no?”
//
Of all the things that confused me for a long time, among the most confusing was Scott/Posey Stans’ simultaneously held beliefs that Scott McCall would be the bestest werewolf ever and yet somehow remain a toxic human disaster worthy of pity. All the things that make Scott McCall that disaster – his insecurities, his lack of empathy, his bigotry, his hypocrisy, his abusive tendencies and behavior, his possessive instincts – also make him an absolute horror as a werewolf.
How many times did Scott lash out in anger at people he professed to care about just because they didn’t do what he wanted them to do? How many times did Scott lie and conceal important information from others for his own benefit? How many times did Scott’s mother, girlfriends and friends complain about not being able to help if they don’t know? How many times did Scott charge headlong into situations with no plan whatsoever solely focused on fulfilling his own emotional needs? If it wasn’t for Stiles and Derek, Scott would have been killed off by the hunters and by Peter Hale after exposing his own kind during one of his jealous fits/dick measuring contests with Jackson in Season 1. If it wasn’t for Stiles and Derek, Scott would have hurt Allison and killed Jackson out of jealousy.
Scott knew that becoming a werewolf gave him the power to protect the people he cares about (which includes managing their image of him) and the power to force said protection on them. Teen Wolf S5A and B proved that Scott McCall will lie and manipulate and cheat and gaslight and commit premeditated murder to keep things under his control until he can’t any more; then he’ll explode, whine, throw another one of his self important temper tantrums, and attempt to blame others for his own failures. Why do you think Scott McCall’s body count is higher then the villains’?
Remember how Scott reacted when he found out that Isaac liked Allison? Isaac was a goner the moment he interacted with “HIS” woman. Scott never ever had the slightest hesitation (or any regret) about physically punishing him. Dead man walking. In fact, the only reason Scott stopped abusing Isaac in front of Melissa was because he started preying on the new girl on campus and, quoting Tyler Posey’s own words, “Kira is a good distraction for Scott.”
Perhaps that’s what Scott stans mean when they wax lyrical over how much of an incredible wolf and ‘true alpha’ Scott makes in self-insert Scott McCall Supremacist fan fiction after self insert Scott McCall Supremacist fan fiction: they admire how many innocent people Scott murders and how many abuse victims Scott maims, abuses and violates while working out his delusions of grandeur, pathological jealousy and emotional issues.
Scott McCall had that 10-episode span where he plotted/conspired with Deaton and Gerard Argent against Derek Hale and his Pack behind everyone’s back; which culminated in self proclaimed hero and ruler of Beacon Hills Scott violating Derek’s boundaries, bodily autonomy and consent and committing premeditated attempted murder just because: “He threatened my mom! I had no choice!”
And yet, the Scott McCall defense squad trolls are adamant that Scott immediately flipped an emotional control switch and resolved all his issues. Of course Scott McCall wouldn’t lash out and savagely attack the moment his friends chose to kick his whiny ass to the curb for good or suggested that Scott didn’t have the right to make their decisions for them. Nope! Ice-cold control. Clear loyalties, superior morality and leadership skills. A good, nurturing friend, boyfriend and werewolf and a true blessing to the pack. /sarcasm
While canon shows us that Scott McCall is a flop wolf (even his only beta Liam and his girlfriend Malia called him a failure to his face in Season 5), everything in canon confirms that Stiles Stilinski would make a magnificent werewolf. Born Wolf Peter Hale has always known this – that’s why he offers Stiles the Bite in Season 1 and then shamelessly admits that he NEVER stopped fantasizing about biting/turning Stiles in Season 6.
In conclusion: if Teen Wolf had revolved around the Hale Pack and family and werewolf Stiles and/or Dark Stiles & Void Stiles like viewers wanted, it would have been a better and much more interesting show than whatever Scott/Posey crap-show we got (and it would have lasted longer, too.)
The Teen Wolf writers and producers should have killed Scott McCall off in Season 1 Episode 1 and replaced him with Vernon Boyd or Kira Yukimura instead.

Ohhh, do I have opinions about… all of those things. So, in no particular order:
Hale pack; Hale pack 2.0; werewolf Stiles; pretty sure I answered Boyd as the MC before; Kira;
Did I ever actually post that TW would have to deal with fundamentally different themes if Stiles/Allion were bitten instead or did I just go nope NaNo project?
Okay, let’s see, how would a show that actually focused on worldbuilding, werewolf dynamics/culture outside of “I’m the alpha now”, and pack-as-family be more interesting than a show about what is either the most hilariously bad excuse for a Good Guy™, or an unsatisfying good guy turned villain story that didn’t realise that we were actually interested in the character’s lives outside of Scott?
With the Hale pack 2.0, the show would be about rebuilding that, about human and werewolf norms clashing, and finding a middle ground that isn’t “you’ll heal/werewolves made them do it”.
Because TW does have so much potential for all those things, but Scott’s not interested in them unless it directly affects or benefits him; but we never see non-abusive pack dynamics.
And this might just be because I grew up with wolfblood/still haven’t finished the order, but actually seeing that kind of pack bonding/history outside of “let’s save the day” is so much more interesting.
-
Werewolf!Stiles is interesting, because I can and have seen it both ways with a pretty even split?
(I’ve also answered Stiles saying yes to the bbite at least twice now, and that answer hasn’t changed. Unless it’s time travel. post5a/b Stiles asking Peter or Derek for the bite would be hilarious.)
First off, “Stiles would kill everyone he lies about giving a shit about!1!1!” is absolutely hilarious, given that Scott was the one who tried to kill Stiles, hurt and only didn’t kill Jackson because Derek and Stiles interfered, hurt Isaac, because of “control issues”. But sure, Stiles is the one who would kill everyone on sight. /sarcasm
Okay, so. Stiles wants to be part of this world, does everything he can to learn about it and knows when you can’t do something because werewolves. He has also shown that he’s willing to make sacrifices (skipping the lacrosse game in 1x9(?)/Eichen House in 3b/the relationship with his dad) if it meant keeping people safe, because he knew not doing those things would hurt people more than they could benefit him.
(Meanwhile we have Scott “being bullied” into playing lacrosse/not caring if The Darkness™ hurt anyone— Isaac or anyone at school/lied to his mom, Allison, Kira constantly. Go figure)
Other than that, I honestly can’t tell how much control I would want canon!Stiles to have. Because with fic, I could go either way, for obvious I need to fixate on something other than adhd and werewolves, please, reasons, but canon? I don’t think perfect control on at least the first full moon is something that's actually possible given, you know, canon. And depending on if you go with Stiles being bitten instead of Scott, it’s not a particularly interesting story.
But everything in canon suggests that he would be self aware enough to know that, and not go to a party like a certain other person I will not name here.
-
But that’s one of the main— issues I have with this line of thinking. It’s always how would this compare to Scott. You always outdo the other, when you can’t really compare it in the sense they are both very different people, who are going to handle the same situation very differently. Scott’s go to response when Shit Happens is to avoid it for as long as possible by distracting himself with school/lacrosse/gf of the season; while, despite for that throwaway line, Stiles always needs to be there— he researches werewolves, stalks Theo, helps the Hales.
As I said before, neither is the most thought out or safe option, both are a normal response, but you can’t— It’s hard to compare them because Scott got bitten “because of” Stiles, and didn’t have any how to werewolf 101 he really listened to. While with Stiles it’s either a) him getting “himself” bitten that night and being excited about it, b) him wanting the bite, knowing what to expect, with a lot less trauma, c) getting bitten without consent but with that understanding of what is happening.
-
Now, Kira’s story is something I would pay good money to actually see done right. Because can you imagine of they did kill off Scott in 3a, and Kira had to navigate a) BH’s drama, b) coming into her own powers, c) actually dealing with not being fucking told about that, and d) not being fucking lied to end just getting yeeted into the desert?
#teen wolf#anti scott mccall#at least this one is under 1k lmao#idk if this makes sense my brain doesn't like words atm#on a completely unrelated note I'm two scenes from Werewolf Yoda™#and I can't wait to actuall write that tomorrow#Kira's part would have gotten longer but words are hard#and while wolfy stiles/hales have been an interest for a while#going into detail with her would be a whole new narrative that would completely screw over my nano#also who doesn't want domestic werewolves?#submission

Imma be honest....I only have a few that are from Webtoons the rest I'm pirating because they're either not on Webtoon, cost a lot of money, or aren't officially translated into English 😖. But my favorite ones atm are:
Under the Oak Tree-Because no man in the world should be as sexy as Riftan and no woman should have to go through as much trauma as my baby Maxie. But she's growing now and becoming the baddie that I always knew that she was inside.
Who Made Me a Princess- I don't have any words to describe how beautiful the art in this series is because it's just *chef's kiss*. But I'm a sucker for the daddy-daughter relationship and how the MC and her father grow as people and are able to overcome obstacles and I- 😭
Another Typical Fantasy Romance- They throw every romance cliche in the garbage, set it on fire and throw the ashes into space because my goodness. Healthy relationship, Communication, and a cute ML who's whipped for his wife with a FL who's a boss and won't let anyone ruin her marriage. It's really funny because the ML is the one who you think you should be scared of because he's all big and muscular when it's really his wife. Like at least he'll just kill you or hurt you. The FL will make you wish that you were dead I have no words. Pellus and Litheria have my heart, my soul, my first born child.
I Was Tricked into this Fake Marriage!- I was also pulled into this one because of the beautiful art. This one also has a power couple. Another time that I started because of a hot man. Idk man hot men are my weakness. This one is also really good but it can get sad sometimes.
Honey, I’m Going On a Strike- This one is almost exactly like Another Typical Romance except the ML is a himbo. Like it makes no sense how a man is so cute, hot, and stupid all at the same time 😩. But it's ok his wife has all the brain cells and he knows it. I just wish he'd see that he's worth something too. His wife is smacking some sense into him though so it's ok. I love how at first their relationship was strained but the after while the FML was like I'm not doing this anymore imma say what I want and if he doesn't like it that's tough. And then finds out that her husband is a lil stupid and doesn't know how to communicate properly.
I Raised a Black Dragon- Cute baby dragon and his mama. I ju- I mean there's more but like.... I think the title sums it up pretty well. I mean there is someone who's trying to kill the FL and all but I'm just here to read about her interactions with her baby and see them in their matching outfits. Also the chemistry the 2 of them have with the ML is just beautiful. Like they're just a lil family trying not to die and all. LET THEM LIVE IN THEIR COTTAGE IN THE FOREST IN PEACE.
Anyways....yeah that's what I have. I have like over 300 but um I'm not writing about all of those so 😂
3, 5 and 6 def have my interest, I'll have to check them out sometime.
#putting this shit in my notes rn#these all sound really good tho fr fr#perhaps once i start reading em we can talk more abt em 🤗#ask game#liya talks

plots please (For Ray and/or coldbloodedward?)
for ray! (i apologize in advance if these don't make sense, i'm a little brain foggy atm) (also at this point its so long i'm gonna make a separate post for coldbloodedward so its not a huge fricking post for you to read)
For one thing I'd love to have him meet my muse Marie! She's an empath too, though it is different than how his powers work. I'm not fully sure how they would interact, maybe they have trouble because their powers are fighting against each other in some way. But Marie is one of those people who hides their trauma by being super happy and sweet, i forget the word for it. I doubt she'd see Ray as anything less than a potential new friend or - once she knows he's an empath - a potential mentor if he'd like to be. Sort of a 'we'll figure this shit out together' type mentorship. Marie grew up in a cult that used her powers as a way to put people who'd supposedly committed holy crimes and crimes against them. So if Ray ever opened up about his trauma from Bancroft she'd be one to understand in some manner. Overall just. . . the idea of marie being a support and a friend in a way most people can't be due to a lack of understanding is what i'm thinking of.
okay so! My muse jay @cripplemagic has. . . well multiple mcu verses cos i can't decide which one i like the most. but they specifically have one where they're inhuman. on top of that they know sign language (American sign language and tiny bits of Japanese sign language as well) In that same verse they were a SHIELD agent up until TWS. When the whole ordeal with terregenesis spreading went down they already had gone through it. Maybe they're sort of a frenemy? Understanding his plight as someone who's new to the whole thing but also being kind of standoffish and rude to him because they just don't know how to properly direct their anger at those they're really angry at. They want to help they just. . . struggle to know how. or simply: the two keep meeting at the worst times at the shield medical department.
I've completely lost full on ideas and i'm so sorry. however other muses i think ray might interact with in an interesting way: Yunseo ; she really doesn't like shield at all nor does she really like humans. she'd either be an antagonistic force or just. . . ambivalent. Luna ; a mutant and an activist for powered people of all kinds. someone who's naturally empathic without any power enhancing it. She would definitely love on ray and support him AND her mutant abilities are ones where she can create essentially any chemical compound and. . . idk how to explain it, secrete it? from her fingers or other parts of her body? 'secrete' feels disgusting to use. BUT LONG STORY SHORT she's smart with chemistry and once she sees a compound and understands its components she can make it. So if he needs a caffeine boost, she can just give him a tap and boop! caffeine boost! :D

My room
Letting my imagination roam free I love when it does that
Sitting down for 2 hours and having written like 50 words (writers block in general)
Sit down. Open laptop. Think of shit I want to happen. Write.
Like, Kristin Cashore, Cassandra Claire, Eoin Colfer
An OC I created just for jokes and giggles around 3 AM but is now a good well rounded character
Kristin Cashore (wrote the Graceling trilogy she is so awesome okay)
I guess the one where one character is not taking the other character's shit and everyone expects them to get together but they become Best Friends instead (basically Curt and Tatiana from Spies Are Forever)
Anything where any relationship of any kind is ForcedTM
No fricking clue dude
I start somewhere in the middle where feels right, sometimes there are hella plot points but often they get resolved when I'm shit thinking at 2 AM
Take a deep breath, drink some water and think rational and encouraging thoughts
I just. Ignore it and pretend to have inspiration. Ain't got no time to think negative things.
Like, around 5 hours
My imagination and other books
I want! My story! To actually be something!
Around 400 words on an average day. Then I spend 2 hours editing that stuff.
I scroll back to the top of the page and start reading. If I feel like the sentences don't flow or something makes me cringe I change or delete that part.
"Sometimes, you have to do bad things to stop an even worse situation. In that case, though, people fail to see you just wanted to make the world a better place."
I literally haven't even finished the first chapter so I'd rather not if that's okay
"Well, somewhere else, because I'm not going to help you," Galya replied, standing up to put her sword away. (It makes no sense out of context lol)
Oof a LOT
Multi, because that way you avoid focussing too much on one character
I don't understand words
Dude Idk what those words mean
Standalone, because I like having random projects Idk why
Until all is polished
Wattpad lol
I write about things I would like to read that's it that's my inspiration
Not sure heh
The antagonist of my story. Oof he's a tough one
Literally. None of them
Yes
Typed. But I have a notebook and pen with me at all times in case I get random ideas, but my general notes are typed.
I don't have any backstory that I'm content with yet oof
The protagonist is not a good person and the antagonist is a good person
Write crap. You can edit bad writing but you can't edit a blank page
Nope that's mine
Not really whole characters but some character traits, like the protagonist has my bad temper and another character has my best friend's brutal honesty
Original fiction for me, because I have too many OC's in my head, but I love reading fanfic
Atm I'm working on only one
Inspiration from Tumblr tropes, but mainly my wildass imagination
Depends on the day vut 85% of the time yes
Well
I haven't published or shared anything yet so nothing really
A hot mess
Plot
Fantasy
Beginning and end
Okay hear me out it's a mess (maybe not but I thought is was dumb as fricc) someone lost their memory and finds out they're a serial killer but the love interest knew all that time because they work for a secret agency and is meant to prevent the protagonist from killing anyone else but the reader doesn't know until the very last lines of the story (my brain at 4 AM okay)
Magical, dusty, warzone, chaos, bitchy protagonist
Inspiration is everywhere. Literally all I think is "that would go with my story"
A lot. It means being able to let my imagination run free because I have a lot of it and it needs space
Just. Go for it. If you have an idea for a story, if you have a characer, write it down. Doesn't matter if you're sure of your abilities or not, if you really want to write something, gO FOR IT! My writing isn't all that good either but the only way to get better is by wrITING! PRACTICING!
Go for it. I don't care if it's shit.
