sometimes sitting in the cabin all day can get a little boring, you were the one who brought up the idea of drawing each other

neither of you are particularly good at drawing but that doesnt mean the two of you arent going to have fun

hes a little embarrassed to show you his drawing of you, hes hesitant to turn the paper around to show you

you didnt have much access to many drawing supplies, a lot of what you already had was crayons and colored pencils stolen from the camp, as well as the paper

he doesnt care if the drawing doesnt look the best, hes in love with just about anything you do or anything that has to do with you

he keeps the drawing folded up and tucked in his shirt pocket!

BRAHMS

hes actually pretty decent at drawing, using that to spend his time when hes not watching you from the cracks in the walls

on top of that hes pretty confident in his ability

you, on the other hand.... i dont think he would make fun of your work, but its clear that theres only one artist between the two of you

keeps the drawing you make of him in his little hiding place in the walls

takes a long minute to look at your drawing of him, its hard to read what hes thinking in that moment

more than proud of his drawing of you, you likely have to remind him to hurry up.. hes going to spend a lot of time on it

will expect a compliment for his work- and dont think he wont compliment your work either!

MICHEAL

you got the idea while doodling random stuff in your sketchbook, deciding to take this as a moment to do something together

he doesnt get it at first but hes... probably... not going to just walk away from you

a decent artist himself, he doesnt draw often but its clear he knows some of the basics of art

very quiet while the two of you draw but its nothing new

exchanging your drawings goes without a hitch, and hes sitting there looking at your paper for a long moment... he doesnt give much of a reaction... but you do notice him tucking the paper into one of his pockets

he doesnt care if you keep his drawing or not, however you sometimes find him looking at his art if you display it somewhere

BUBBA

hes not very good at drawing, he never really gets the time to sit down and doodle- on top of that he doesnt know what to draw most of time, when he does have the time and thought to try!

loves anything you make, you dont have to be a good artist either, hes going to take in every little detail of the art

if youve added additional stuff such as sparkles or hearts, hes going to be staring even longer... thats so sweet, you like like him?

of course he already knew you did, youre both dating but seeing stuff like that in passing always feels nice

very protective of the drawing out of fear that his brothers may tamper or destroy it- at best they (namely nubbins and choptop) may tease him

like his original counterpart, thomas doesnt draw all that often so he hasnt built up the skill... but that doesnt mean he isnt going to try to draw you how he sees you when you sit him down to do this activity with him

takes a long time to get all the details right, doesnt want to make you look off or worse, offend you if he messes something up

you can draw him with or without his mask, but its clear that you put care into the drawing, regardless of skill

loves it so much, hangs it on the wall in the basement so he can look at it while hes working... its like a little motivational thing for him! he protects his family, and youre part of it.. he does this for you!

a little hesitant to give you his drawing, but lightens up at your delight for how he portrayed you

right, can we please take a moment to talk about the bridge sequence in bad habits because oh my god the SUBTEXT??

at the start of the video, the distance between miles and alex is really highlighted, e.g. opposing colour palettes, the kind of divided imagery above, alex standing several paces behind miles etc. they're constantly in each other's eyeline, but also constantly apart. throughout the video, they gradually get closer, and the biggest catalyst for this is miles's guitar solo at the bridge of the song, where they start off at opposite ends of the room and miles moves backwards to alex as he's playing; by the end of the solo, they're finally properly side by side for the first time.

this is then immediately followed by shots like this of the two of them together:

in the earlier stages of the video, miles's singing was just intercut with sexual imagery of either women, or him and women - now, in the build up to the song's climax (and as the sexual imagery gets more heated), his singing is intercut more vividly and more frequently with clips of him and alex; the images of women become fainter and more infrequent, outnumbered by moments of him and alex wrapped around each other, while the women remain hazy and separate from miles.

the fact that throughout the song, alex and the two of them being together is inextricably linked with the fulfilment of desire and fantasy is just - it makes me a little bit insane, actually.

because it’s only once the two of them come together that the sex behind the images of fantasy interspersing miles’s singing actually come to fruition. it’s only once they’ve touched each other that others touch them, only after they come together that the sexual images that have been chasing them come into focus and become anything other than hazy, fleeting fantasies. in a music video so explicitly about sex and desire, it’s all about them.

Really fills out that whole "what does Vi do when she has no one left to protect" thing! Wow! Not to mention she's gonna be hot but that's a given. What a shocking thing to see when November comes around aaaand there she is in the trailer okay. Along with what is presumably her act 3 timeskip design judging by the longer hair. Element of surprise gone. Cool.

So where the Viktor part of me gets to waste hours yapping about where he's gonna be in season 2, what his arc will be, what he's gonna look like, what's gonna cause divorce era... feel like we're running out of room for speculation for the main 3. Room for imagination, if you will.

Like WE'VE BEEN KNEW ABOUT PIT FIGHTER VI. This isn't a surprise sneak peek anymore, everyone's either seen her in the trailer or at least heard about the Annecy stuff. Personally I no longer have the same level of insane jittery excitement to see how that arc goes in s2 anymore. Her new design is no longer a surprise and they're going to show even more tomorrow lol. I have little room to ponder "huh wonder what VI's gonna be up to." Pit fighter arc gets started and instead of my jaw dropping going "oh my god Vi honey you really are broken aren't you noooo" it's just... yeah that thing I saw during a Netflix event. Damn. Looks cool still but it's not a shock.

This massive point in both the plot and Vi's arc has become a marketing hype machine. Which dampens, you know, the whole "telling a story" thing.

What do I have to speculate about? Cait's whole iron-fist arc is fairly obvious via marketing, Vi's three-act structure has been pretty clearly laid out, they even spoiled Noxus/Ambessa turning on Piltover. Yeah, think we saw it coming, sure, but I kind of like being able to speculate on stories I enjoy. At least Jinx's revolutionary thing is pretty up in the air (which I still believe is a misdirect but I digress).

Please don't get me wrong, I really like her design and I'm still very excited to see where it goes! Obviously there's still plenty of details in between to fill out and yes I'm being slightly dramatic and yes my salt towards yet again no Viktor may be contributing to this frustration and YES pit fighter Vi is sick and the clip will be cool as fuck no matter what. But I'm honestly a little surprised everyone's so thrilled about this. I'm (likely) not watching it solely to preserve at least some element of surprise because I'm so excited for Vi next season and it sucks that they're just giving this all out in marketing.

Assuming this is the Annecy clip, that's just kinda lazy to reuse btw. But whatever this is lengthy and poorly worded enough.

Presenting my oc Sharm !

An (very pink) Eliotrope

She's based on my in game character but I kinda gave her lore and a story so

⭐INFODUMP about Wakfu in general ! ⭐

Basic infos for those who don't know anything about Wakfu :

Wakfu is a french animated serie made by the studio Ankama, who also made several mmorpg games ( and way more, like the amount of content and lore is crazy)

Most of the stories will take place on the World of Twelves, populated by 12 main races (with many variation)

And there is a 13th "main race", the Eliatropes, which is the race of the main character of the anime, Yugo

Eliotropes ( with a o instead of a) are a subrace of the Eliatropes ( lore is explained in the serie but I don't wanna spoil, so to boil it down, Eliotropes are unstable pale copies of eliatropes) [ they are playable in the game wakfu]

So, what about Sharm ? Well she was born a pretty regular Eliotrope. She had two "brothers", Chance and Vitali, who unfortunately ended up fading away with time ( mechanically, when an Eliotrope die, his/her essence will go to the nearest Eliotrope to allow them to live longer)

So Sharm was left alone for very long, and stayed in Eliatropes ruins she found. Those were overgrown by stasis ( type of crystals, very bad, generally associated with corruption and destruction)

However, the essence she got from her siblings passing could only last so long

One day, in a desperate attempt to not die, Sharm took stasis and...ate it. Chewed on the mf crystals, and surprisingly, an interesting reaction occured : it stabilised her essence. It also made her basically frozen in development, Sharm cannot grow anymore and her power levels are quite limited in quantity, unless she uses stasis.

So my girl went through the ages, she kept on researching on the remnant of the eliatrope race ( wiped out aside from a few) and became sort of an archeologist

Nowadays, Sharm travels from a country/city to an other, often with mercenaries she hires as bodyguards . The other two ocs in this sketch page are the said mercenaries

And the cat is called Noiraude !

Who is Nora ? She is the sixth eliatrope of the Council ( Eliatropes are rules by the six first borns of the race who can reincarnate along with their dragon twin)

Nora appeared for the first time in a flashback the episode "Quilbi" in season 2

In 2011

And back then she was in a flashback, so presumed dead from the war that wiped out the Eliatropes

since you rewatched it i’m so curious: what is something about the reveal in canon that you want to give the writers/actors their dues? like the lines being sad, what’s happening or how lines are said. idk if i’m wording this right

such a good question, thank you! i touched on this a little in the previous ask, but there's honestly so much that i did genuinely appreciate in the episode. i had only previously seen clips and bits, but watching it all together was a whole different experience. there's a lot of negativity that i could bring up, however, to me at least, most of it concerns larger canonical tones and less so the moments of the actual episode.

firstly, the acting was, of course, incredible. both bradley and colin are phenomenal and that's nothing new, but such an emotional episode? can't give them enough praise. all the lines were delivered with such force and their expressions - from arthur's entire facial journey during the initial reveal to merlin's detailed reactions to every single thing arthur said from there on out…don't even get me started. i could go on, but the work they put in is (thankfully) often recognised.

i want to talk more about the writing and the actual pacing of the reveal. i've seen certain moments be highlighted as good and certain points get raised as "missing" or "lacking" and whilst i, too, wish some things would've been different, the overall feeling of it wasn't as…lacklustre as i thought it would be.

first, i want to address the idea itself - yes, i would've liked to see more of merlin and arthur post reveal, however, a tragedy is a tragedy. as much i would've loved to see them reference more moments or discuss other instances of merlin using magic it wasn't necessarily possible within the storyline - arthur dying and all. i think they did as much as they could without oversaturating it with memories or placing all of merlin's powers on display. although reminiscing, especially in the last episode, could be considered worthwhile they had an arc to finish. as i've mentioned, i did really like the different moments representing merlin's powers without retelling things that had already happened (apart from the callback to ep1, which i think was a nice touch and the correct memory to bring up) - instead of telling arthur about all the bad guys he's fought and dealt with, arthur could see him do it through dragoon and later through himself. beyond that, instead of a longer monologue justifying his actions, merlin shows his power by creating a harmless dragon out of the flames of a fire - a recall, but not a retelling of similar things he's done throughout the show, things that symbolise the pureness of magic. arthur has limited time and he's also being hit with 10 things at once - he's not stupid, he can make those connections, maybe not all of them due to his state of being, but a good amount, i'm sure.

i also appreciate the entire journey arthur went through. i like that they didn't shy away from the hurt he felt from merlin's reveal. it's clear by this point in the story that arthur doesn't necessarily condemn all magic users, but he is deeply hurt by broken trust, betrayals and lies. i appreciate how, despite it all, he fought merlin's words, up until merlin was forced to show him. it highlighted the severity of his trust in merlin, how solid he was in it. he's hurt and he says "i want him gone" and yet the suggestion he gives gaius is to send him back to camelot. he's aware gaius knows and perhaps he wonders who else does, but i'm certain he knows it can't be a lot of people. and yet. there are conversations later on, arthur saying "i should've (killed you)" (which is a whole different beast to address; a line that can be taken in many different ways), there's the line "i don't know what i would've done" when talking about merlin revealing his secret earlier, but at that moment with giaus, "gone" doesn't mean banished or exiled or whatnot, it means out of sight. so many implications - i will refrain from unpacking it here as it is not exactly relevant.

another thing i really valued was the dynamic change - the way it was discussed and learnt anew. it is the clearest idea you get of merlin's view of devotion and his place in the world. he's talked about it before, but not in the face of arthur knowing. more importantly, however, it is arthur wrapping his head around the detailing of their relationship, the two sides of merlin that have become one - one that's not all that strayed from what he already knew and yet still filled with surprises.

i could talk about these scenes for days on end and it still wouldn't be enough. they packed in so much in such little time. i also want to talk briefly about gwen and gwaine. i am certain gwaine figured it out at the crystal cave, and i think it was a beautiful scene all around. merlin could've made up a lie and he didn't. gwaine could've asked for me and he didn't. it was understanding and it was trust in such a simple yet effective way. and then gwen - she was always one step ahead in my mind. her reactions, as well as her questions, were a joy to watch. it put me at ease and something about it simply felt calm and right. both of these reveals were given in roundabout ways, each with their own impact and meaning, and i really did appreciate it.

idk i think as much as the term broadscar is unfortunately quite funny to me, f1 fandom discussions abt weight and bodies r kind of bound to become problematic (real sense not 2014 tumblr sense) bc of the requirements of the sport. the way lewis has said that hes not allowed to bulk up because it would make his weight balance too lopsided (as a side note u guys do not know how ready i am for post retirement bicep BEAST lewis hamilton. the only way im gonna survive him retiring) etc like its not just about appearance for them.

in terms of how lando is fit like ur 100% right - stuff like qatar shows that he (and jon) has been doing his due diligence w preparing for these conditions. u can also just see in that last quadrant video how hes obviously very physically fit and ready for the season. its just that bodies have natural differences between them - oscar is genetically taller, lando is genetically more flexible; oscar is naturally broader around his arms, lando is naturally broader around his back, etc. and its not necessarily an issue to point these things out or even joke about them (when ppl say daniel's got birthing hips it still makes me laugh and its been years since i first heard it) but at some point it does start to show a fundamental misunderstanding of what f1 drivers do. like do i need to pull up the real sweat im a high performance athlete clip or what

so thats on the body stuff. re: the twink stuff i think the reason it rubs me, you, many ppl wrong even before we consciously realise it is like. a twink is a type - not just a body type, a *type*. in the gay male* community, you identify yourself as a twink (or bear, otter, etc) because some people are particularly attracted to twinks, bc they have a type. then obviously because the gay community is way more than just sexual attraction & has a lot of cultural capital, the term twink gained connotations and cultural history etc and grew past that. but the origins are still very much in gay male* attraction. so now that the term has become accessible to ppl who arent in that community, and therefore arent *participating*, identifying someone by their physical characteristics (and maybe implied penetrative sex preference) no longer has the subtext of appeal, but of derision. because no longer is it implied that everyone involved is a gay man*, which means calling someone a twink also implicitly calls them gay. and i think 'twink' specifically gained traction compared to other types also bc of its association w femininity in one's physical appearance - which, again, ur just derogatorily calling someone feminine and gay. even if, say, ur a member of the lgbt community who isn't a gay man*, it still carries the subtext - like anon u completely correctly identified the condescending undertones of whoever ur talking about. which is why i say we should just bring back fag #justsayfag

although honestly I don't think I'll be saying anything that others haven't already said haaaaa

anyway finally, a chance for morty's new VA to shine, and GOD does he. I love the way Evil Morty talks, idk why but that bored "uh huh" when Rick tries shooting him several times is soooo funny to me. he killed it and so did ian cardoni (the way he screams "I'LL KILL YOU" after slow mobius' death OOOOOUUUU CHILLS)

i honestly did not expect to see Evil Morty again, and even though I'm kinda sad he didn't get the lasting peace away from Rick that he wanted, he is a DELIGHT to see in action!! i love his interactions w Rick, it's so interesting having a Morty that's on par/better than Rick. although I'll be honest....he kinda feels like a Rick himself, especially w the cybernetic augmentations he also has--at least to me. Wonder if that's going to be brought up again later down the line, something about becoming the monster you fight against i LOVE how we got to see his backstory finally, like others have said I'm really happy that he was just a "normal" Morty. his Rick wasn't anything special. he literally was just a Morty who finally got sick of Rick's shit. i loved the reveal too, bc they DID have me going for a sec there, I thought who we were seeing was OUR morty Indiana Jones Rick 💘💘💘😳😳😳😳😳💦 that's all I'm saying on that And ok, DO I think Rick Prime is dead? like ACTUALLY dead? Honestly...yes. At least I hope so. I think it'd be FAR more compelling for Rick to be like "...now what?" and for the show to actually explore and unpack that, over it being like HAHA SURPRISE RICK PRIME'S NOT ~REALLY~ DEAD you know?

Because yeah. He got his revenge, the revenge he's literally been chasing...basically his entire life, like...since his, what, 30s? And it didn't feel good. It didn't fix things, it didn't make him feel better. He feels as empty as he did before and NOW he doesn't even have a goal to strive towards anymore. There's nothing. And I feel like the ending of the episode did a REALLY good job of portraying that just numbness. He probably fantasized about this moment the WHOLE time and it absolutely didn't live up to it. It wasn't glorious or feel liberating, he just ends up covered in blood and feeling more hollow and broken than before. That's just...kinda how trauma is Morty at first hesitating to touch Rick but eventually hugging him anyway was so sweet ;_; Anyway as for the cinematography of the episode itself...absolutely stellar. Great fights, the SCOPE of everything, the backgrounds and settings, it's wild how much this show has popped off with its animation (it's honestly so funny seeing them stitch in clips from Season 1 in there bc the CONTRAST in animation quality is astounding. its like when artists on twitter do the "my art from 10 years ago vs now" comparisons LOL. LITERALLY, SEASON 1 WAS 10 YEARS AGO). The just dead silence as Rick punches Rick Prime to death (only sounds of course being rick talking and punching), the whole exchange that happened during it, how just downright BRUTAL it was, that entire scene was crafted so well, and others have pointed out the significance of Rick literally beating Prime to death with his bare fists instead of using his tech or weapons or anything, which i feel like was definitely on purpose, and i love man this post ended up longer than i anticipated I'M SORRY. I’m with you like I am in no way body shaming anyone!!!!!

The fetal position and the warm milk is what got me fucked up and it seems so out of character for Aemond BUT we don’t reeeeeally know him deeply we havnt spent much time with him especially in the last two episodes becuase they have been so Aegon and Helena focused (as it should be considering the plot) so I think seeing Aemond like that was so jarring and out of place becuase it doesn’t suit the fanon we’ve created over the past two years and I also think that’s on HBO a bit cos they did release that behind the scenes clip where the final shot of Aemond being like “oh fuck what have I done” after Vhagar munches Luke but then in the behind the scenes the clip is longer and he’s smirking. That goes inline with the book character but not the character we are presented with in the show.

Anyway I do sort of think that scene really does not give the depth and complexity of character the way the writers think it did, to me it sort of undermines any confidence he might have acquired by becoming a skilled swordsman and dragon rider but maybe that was the point all along and I’m just being a hater idk

In conclusion I’m hopeful for where his character is headed and I’ll tune in next week for the after show show

Request Guidelines and Rules

Important Things to Note:

This blog is just one of my hobbies that I do for fun in my free time, and I make these gifs for free - of course I am going to prioritize getting requests done in a timely manner, but I might also just chill and take an extra day or three to finish.

Rest assured I'll always communicate if, for whatever reason, life decides that I need to put gifmaking/requests on hold for a few days or longer. Same goes for when I'm back up and running - I will not reopen requests until all previous accepted slots are filled.

Guidelines:

Send gifset requests through the askbox only, please. I won't consider requests made through comments/dms. I'll be more lenient with icon or video requests made through comments, but I'd prefer the ask box in general since I pay most attention to that.

If your request is simple in nature, don't be shy to just send it as it is.

That being said, the more specific, the better! I can get closer to your vision with the more details you can provide, otherwise I'll fill any gaps myself as I see fit.

EXAMPLE: "can i request a set of the scene where niffty stabs adam in episode 8?"

Simple request, but easily doable - in cases like this it would be entirely up to me on certain aspects like how many gifs I'll end up doing, which parts of the entire scene I show, if I add subtitles or not, etc.

Here is an example of a request for the same scene, but with more detail:

EXAMPLE: "request: a set of the scene when niffty is stabbing adam while laughing maniacally (starting from 16:32) and ending when lute shouts "no!" with subtitles? thank you!"

Also just as doable, and now I have clear instruction on what exactly to include. Heck, you can even throw in details like, idk, "including vox's reaction"/"can you take out vox's reaction though?"

If you're asking for a set focused on a certain character and you want it done in what I call a Spotlight style (eg: adam, angel dust), you can specify how many gifs you'd like: The minimal I'll do is 2, with a maximum of 8. Otherwise I'll do 4 by default. If you don't specify that you want this kind of style then I'll just do whatever feels fun for me at the moment :D

My minimum of 2 and maximum of 8 applies to all requests, as of now (though I won't be so tough on this either, if I'm cooking and the set ends up being 10 gifs, it ends up being 10 gifs lol)

Other Kinds of Requests I Will Do (will add more in the future, probably):

Make Me Choose - send me an ask and make me choose between two things related to Hazbin or Helluva, or even both! It can be characters, a particular scene, a character's dynamic with another, anything really. All you gotta do is send an ask that says "[x] or [y]?" no additional details required, but you can totally add some if you'd like. Like instead of just sending "lucifer or stolas?" you could send "who do you think is funnier, lucifer or stolas?" Either way I'll make a gifset dedicated to who or whatever I choose.

Episode Clips - Is there a scene from Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss episode that you like? Check out my #episode clips tag, I may have posted it already, but if I haven't, feel free to request a scene! I won't do scenepacks, but I may in the future, who knows.

Screencaps/Icons - I'll also post screencaps or icons of a character, scene, etc, just ask.

Rules:

Repeating this only once more: I will only consider gifset requests made through the askbox.

Keep your request contained in a single ask. I will not fill a request if it is split between two or more asks, so get those details all within the character limit.

For my personal comfort, I'm asking that you don't request gifsets or interact with me directly (ask, dm, @) if you're a minor (also like what are you doing here? lol). As I state in my bio, I'm an adult posting about an adult show that very much has adult themes prevalent in it so like it's not rocket science as to why the idea of talking to a minor about this show is Fucking Weird, right?

That being said I'm not anyone's parent and I'm not gonna spend hours combing through every single blog that sends in a request off anon looking for age confirmation but also like, if I hover over your name and you have your age right there in your bio that is very much under 18, sorry but I'm gonna block you.

I'll try to do every single request I get, but if I can't, I'll always state my reason why. But I'll definitely encourage you to send in another request or link you back here if necessary.

I don't know how to put this eloquently but like, try not to go overboard with requests? I'm still pretty new at this and I don't know how to do a lot of those cool color effects/blending/layering stuff the actual good gifmakers can do lmao. If I feel like I don't have the ability to fulfill the request and/or feel that it would just take too long to complete I'll decline and state my reasons why + encourage that you send another request. I don't exactly see this being a real issue, but hey, just in case.

For personal comfort, I won't do requests that are specifically asking for shipping content - yes, even if I myself do ship it! I figured staying neutral is the easiest way to go about this. Chaggie would be the only exception since they're less of a ship in my eyes and more of just a canon couple whose relationship is an integral part of their own respective stories/the main plot as well.

UPDATE: Since I do Helluva Boss now, I will now include canon relationships from there as exceptions to this rule as well, so Stolitz and Moxillie.

Don't ask for ships, ask for source material instead. What do I mean by this? Instead of asking for content of the characters by their ship name, or by wording the requested interaction in a way that paints it in a romantic light, you can just ask for the scenes as they are.

Example of a request I won't do: "can you do a gifset of huskerdust moments/interactions from the beginning of episode 4 pls?"

I would decline this, but you can still get this exact scene filled if you word it like this instead:

Example of a request I will do: "can you do a set from the beginning of ep 4, when angel is flirting with husk and he tells him he sees right through his act?"

Much better. Yeah, I very much ship huskerdust myself, but I'd only take the request if it's worded in this way.

If you're wondering why the hell this is even a rule, it's for me, mostly. I don't like the idea of constantly declining requests of ship content for ships I'd be uncomfortable doing. Or denying myself making gifs of moments between characters I like in a context outside of shipping. I think this way keeps it fun for everyone.

As for reblogging it and tagging it with a ship name: eh, do whatever. Tag it as you like! Tag it as you will! Not like I can stop you, but also I genuinely don't really care beyond that point AKDKSJFJSJF. Humor me, yeah? I promise this is my only weird rule lmao.

(You may see me talk about a ship I enjoy every now and then, but those will be contained in my own brainrot where the context becomes way more fandom-like and less source material-like. I am just focused on keeping requests neutral this way.)

So I read the second part of your ml analysis which is very good btw, but I have two questions: 1. you say something about how Adrien would never give up being Chat bc of freedom and stuff, but he does so in syren (kind of) and in kuro neko. I mean, it would make sense that he wouldn‘t bc of the reasons you stated, I‘m there with you, but… that‘s not canon? There are instances where he gives up his hero life bc he‘s insecure of what LB thinks of him (which tbf seems ooc but still). And second, Luka didn’t know about Mari‘s secret identity at the time when they were together, and I wouldn‘t necessarily blame him for being upset at her for not being very present during their relationship. Idk maybe I misunderstood (in which case I‘m sorry) but he only learned about that later. (Or do you mean that if he was the main love interest, he would‘ve forgiven her for acting the way she did?)

I'll be honest, the original draft has been in the work for well over a few years now. So, it was initially written before season 4. Much of my information on the episodes moving forward is either clips or second-hand information.

(Being honest though, I don't feel like I miss much doing this. A lot, and I mean ALOT of MLB is padded fluff and not even good kind. I did keep up with recaps until season 4. Season 5 to me is a complete mystery. And I don't wanna find out. What little I have seen or been told, makes me question...so much).

That said.

You do have a point.

Adrien gives up "Chat Noir" on two occasions. 1) Despereada 2) Kuro-Neko.

(I'm not counting Syren because that was a threat, not really him giving it up, or following through.)

But here's the thing. We're both in the correct here. Because while Adrien "gives up" the Alter Ego of Chat Noir - in Desperada he does not give up being a Superhero.

He is just trying on a new mask. He still wants what he's always wanted "a home" and his "home" is Ladybug. He tries to please her, by being Aspik. His "wish" hasn't changed, he's figuring out if a new mask will be able to grant it.

And in the case of Kuro-Neko, I would liken it to a corrupted soul gem. Realising that the "wish" he made when he became Chat Noir is fruitless.

I said "[Ladybug] offers him [a place to belong], while Chat Noir lends him the means to show that “true self” he can’t allow to others. He would never give up his miraculous because it would mean losing all that."

But what happens if the first statement is false? What if Ladybug no longer represents a place where he belongs? What if he no longer feels like Chat Noir is his true self? If either of those fail, then what's the point of having an Alter Ego? That's when he gives it up.

The moment his wish is proven NOT to be granted by the Magical Power Up, he gives up his Alter Ego.

OOC, yes. But it has some (?) sort of internal logic.

However, the point of that specific part was simply to say that Chat Noir is a (slightly) better-constructed protagonist. Through seasons 1-3, he remains with this internal logic. Something that Marinette does not have, even at the very beginning.

Again, I do believe Kuro Neko could have worked - but giving it the 1 episode treatment ruined any shot at redemption it could have.

As for the Luka situation

I really was trying not to go into a tangent, within a tangent about how badly they handled Luka. So I sorta jumbled a lot of stuff together and mistyped a lot. It's actually quite understandable that I didn't make myself clear, I wasn't trying to.

I was vaguely gesturing at the problem. But, if you insist:

My main point is: I don't think he should feel entitled to information about his (relatively new) girlfriend.

That entire thing was, politely said, a dick move.

With my comparison to Tokyo Mew Mew, I was trying to prove that Luka did the one thing that no Magical Girl Male Lead should EVER do. It's antithetical to everything the genre stands for.

Marinette wasn't in the wrong for keeping ANY sort of secret from him that didn't relate to their relationship. Point blank. But, he feels so justified in this, that when he becomes an Akuma, he outrights forces everyone to give up Marinette's secret.

One that I would argue IS a huge deal in regards to their relationship. She still likes Adrien. But he says he already knows that.

And, apparently, does not care for it.

Okay then, why did he care for her other secret? What could have possibly been worse in his head to get into such a huge fight over?

And in the end, it doesn't even matter cause he does find out she's Ladybug afterwards!

He broke this girl's heart just bcs he couldn't handle she wasn't being 100% honest in a, what? 2-month-old relationship?

The entire thing is messy and weird, and meanspirited. I'm not a fan.

And that should be obvious. I compared Aoyama and Ichigo in a positive light to them.

I do not ship them. I don't even think they should have been endgame. I know that's an essay/rant for another day - but to somehow be worse than the most VANILLA of Magica Girl ships, the one ship anyone will tell you isn't the one they wanted. The one that everyone in the REMAKE is begging to be changed...

I'm so mad they decided to cut those what 4 seconds of terrified eddie looking at buck? For what? Knowing life and death of the spiderman guy? It's me or since KR is in charge the setup for the calls lasts a lifetime? Honestly who cares about these strangers?

I know a lot of people are happy with how the breakdown scene played out and found it true to character and that’s fine! I personally am *slayed* by that clip that to me looks like Eddie just spilled out the line about them all being dead and has gone back to sobbing and then looks up at Buck, absolutely terrified of the judgment and disappointment he’s so sure he’s going to see, while we know Buck is nothing but understanding and brokenhearted to see someone he loves so much hurting so deeply. I think that’s incredibly powerful, and giving us a moment where Eddie realizes he’s not alone and Buck is going to hold things together so Eddie doesn’t have to, even if it’s just a moment where he leans into Buck and draws some strength from him before Buck goes to let Chris know his dad is okay would have been something to witness. I also personally think that the cut to after Buck has already gotten Eddie up and calmed down, gotten Chris calmed down, and put to bed was jarring, and I also thinks we should have at least seen part of Eddie destroying the room if nothing else.

I just think that seeing Buck’s interactions with Chris, Buck breaking down the door and listening to Eddie briefly, and then Buck coming back to talk to Eddie after putting Chris to bed sort of ends up centering the whole thing around Buck’s presence. His presence IS important, and I’m thrilled we got to see it, but I would have liked getting a fuller measure of the breakdown from Eddie’s POV, maybe hearing something from Chris as Buck is putting him to bed as well. IDK, I just wanted more focus on Eddie about the breakdown instead of it sort of being tacked on to the end of the episode and then never talked about outside of brief mentions between Eddie/Buck and Eddie/Bobby. We had more scenes of every team member showing concern and commenting on L’s inability to handle getting lucky on a call and having a tantrum about it than we did seeing any of them worrying about Eddie, (even if they didn’t hear the full extent of what happened) and I think THAT is what is so irritating to me about knowing there was more footage out there and instead we got a 10 minute set up for a call that easily could have started when May answered the homeowner’s 9-1-1 call. 

I won’t say that this is entirely a new thing and all on KR, because the show has spent time on call setups before but I think it’s been more noticeable because we haven’t been getting time for the things we WANT to see and the long set ups are for characters we don’t need to connect with! They only had that short set up scene with the three old men and we were still able to connect with the idea of 3 guys having been friends for most of their lives! Or look at Stuck and that escalator call! That one has me in shambles every time and we only see the briefest moment of him picking out the box for the ring! A longer set up when there is something in the story they want us to connect with our mains, or as just a little bit of fun to ease the tension elsewhere in the episode is something they’ve done before, but I can tell you I can’t think off the top of my head of any emergency where I was conscious that the set up was taking forever and wasn’t really needed, or had a thought of “are we getting to the point any time soon?” until season 5. They seem to be getting a little more back on track with the focus on the main character’s storylines so maybe that will help with that feeling but every time I get to the end of an episode and think about how there was a really good character moment I wished we had seen, I can’t help but look back at some of the longer emergency set ups and wonder why that was the thing that got kept instead of some of the character work.

I loved every moment you mentioned too! The greatest is so good, it was one of my immediate favourites on the album on first listen so hearing it as the opener was awesome. SIBWAWC delivered as expected!!! So good. It was just such a strong setlist! I agree about the 1D songs, I never really listened to 1D (other than how everyone my age did, in the sense that the music was everywhere so you picked stuff up) so I wasnt that familiar with WDBHG but Louis made it fun! I'd be fine with only one 1D cover (especially if it gave us headline, common people or TTWLG which im keeping my fingers crossed will get rotated in)

The production was really good, I'm a fairly new fan so haven't seen too much of Louis' last tour (mostly just clips) so it was really cool to see all the screens and lights. You can tell a lot of thought goes into making it feel cohesive.

I was soooo pleased to hear Copy, it's just SUCH a good song and he looked confident singing it.

Also back to you!!! I really didn't expect that, it was such a good version. And "Miss you" was one of the first Louis songs I discovered and really loved (very late discovery as this was like...last year? Haha) and I've always thought it would be SUCH a great song to experience live so that gives me a bit of hope that maybe we'll get a version of it at some point on this tour. (Whishful thinking maybe!)

Also got to mention going from saved by a stranger (Also so good) to WAOYF...the emotional whiplash!!!! It worked though!

Honestly, I could probably run through every song with something I liked (I've barely mentioned HOTH and Saturdays and silver Tongues!) but I've already ranted in your inbox enough but what a great first show!!!! So excited for the next one!!!

I'm glad to see the greatest appreciation, it was one of my favs at first listen too. Louis writes the best tour openers. He really did transport us to another world with sibwawc didn't he 😌 his mind is just superior. The production was mind blowing and a true step up from last tour (ltwt's production was still amazing though). Copy is a masterpiece no doubt about that the imagerie of the lyrics is insane. BTY in 2023? If someone told me that before the show i would never believe them but it made me so happy for many reasons. There is hope for miss you after all 😭 ( i think at some point he's going to replace bty with miss you and if it happens idk how i'll survive). There was so many surprises last night but honestly the biggest one for me was him singing saved by a stranger ❤️‍🩹(the bravery, the grace!!). Not only that he also made it kind of rock and followed it with waoyf (that fan in the live stream who was silent the whole time but felt the need to shout "can we pls go back to fucking" instead of " loving" didn't go unnoticed🔪🔪). Tbh, i always thought if he really had to perform a 1d song, night changes would be a good one (his solo is so angelic in it) and i enjoyed it when he performed it in the past. But this time, even i was surprised that the 1d covers didn't work for me. I think fitf is just a beast on a whole other level and performing 1d songs among such a brillant setlist emphasizes the quality differece between Louis' solo songs and the band's, sorry. Night changes followed by Chicago and wdbhg put between ooms and saturdays (and then silver tongues) was almost humilating for them if it weren't for Louis' perfect delivery and witt (and angelic voice). Critical Roll and Vox Machina are fun. Don’t get me wrong. It’s been showing up more on my fyp lately and I really enjoy it.

But the more I watch it, the more… instantly depressed I get and I just start crying now. I can only watch those and have flashbacks to my past DnD experiences where character was always put on the back burner for the game.

We could never have fun character moments because toxic players and their Main Character Syndrome were always prioritized by the DM and other players just to prevent them having a temper tantrum. And every time we rolled a 1, our dms didn’t make it fun or funny, they made it humiliating and embarrassing. Oh too if that, I was usually just excluded or ignored or shoved into the back so I could be led around by the hand and ordered around. My character was never allowed to just be my character because my characters’ actions were shut down no matter how innocuous because they weren’t “helpful or useful to the party at large”.

I was always told “that’s just how the game is”, but watching critical roll and seeing clips of other games on tiktok just prove “actually no, It was always possible to just have character driven fun. It just wasn’t allowed because rolling the dice and killing things and keeping toxic players from throwing a fit was always more important.”

I want to be play dnd and have fun with it, I WANT to like those high fantasy stories, but I feel like I can never approach it without a little apprehension because my ONLY experiences with it have been horrible; because my characters were never treated like CHARACTERS, they weren’t even treated like game units.

They were treated like NPCs to be exploited or ignored.

(It didn’t help either that things like my characters’ children, squires/apprentices, pets or mounts were never allowed plot armor and DMs would go out of their way to target/kill them for shock value, even though I expressed that this really bothered me. Ultimately led to me no longer making or acquiring these things because the stress was too much and I couldn’t risk getting emotionally attached anymore. “Something something realism dying is always a risk—“ Idgaf really it’s a game with dragons, I should be having fun, not constantly hyper paranoid that my apprentice is gonna get his throat slit in his sleep for shock value. And people can ALWAYS be fucking revived anyway, but for some reason my NPCs that I and my characters cared about were never worth “wasting a spell slot” to these people.)

So now Critical Roll, something I SHOULD be enjoying, just makes me depressed and start crying. And I hate it.

Idk if anyone else has had this issue, maybe it’s just a me thing. I just had to get it off my chest. I hate scrolling through cute Vox Machina moments and instead of laughing or having fun I just start crying because I wanted this moments, damnit. Why wasn’t I worth those cute fun moments???

It was never about me getting me own big moments or anything, I just wanted to feel included yk?

I've only recently caught up with jikook moments/clips from the Busan concert and I genuinely am so confused as to what went down between them to act that way... means they neither seem very close to be shipped nor too detached/cold to be said they're fighting.

But most of their interactions seemed initiated by JM while jk would seek tae over JM onstage and this has been happening since the PTD tour

Also in some moments when jk would meet eyes with JM randomly he seemed to stop smiling once they were no longer facing each other and I saw this happen more than twice

Then when they were leaving the stage he runs away from jimin after JM tries putting his hand on his shoulder

But he also was very enthusiastic abt singing JM his happy birthday song so idk lol

Then the vlive too they don't seem to be on the best terms rn

I've been saying this since muster 2021 LOL. I mean, I already said last year that they don't seem to have the same chemistry on stage and that they don't seem to have as much fun together as they used to in 2019 and the years before, and I still think the same. There wasn't much chemistry in 2020 shows either, but that time I didn't think too much of it because of the pandemic and all, they're humans and their moods were affected as everyone else's.

In 2021, howeverrrr... They were the odd one out for me, and not in a good way🤷‍♀️ because everybody else was having a lot of fun together on stage, except the two of them together. LV was an exception maybe, but Jungkook in those concerts in general was VERY flirty with everyone, not only with Jimin.

I'm saying this taking into account the shows they've had in the past year and this year, but I don't believe Jimin initiates a lot of moments either, he just doesn't seem to be into it like before. I think Jimin has been vibing by himself more often than not and Busan was no exception. I really haven't seen him look for JK as much as he used to during shows.

They don't seem to be on bad terms, that's a bit dramatic. Unless they're lying and pretending to be friends, they seem okay. Okay as in friends just like everyone else and nothing more.
