its been a while since ive properly listened to series songs & i got the sudden feeling of missing magu songs (despite listening to antenna39 & kafu-eine frequently lately???) so i put on the magu playlist & god i fukcign. love their songs so much. their songs in general dont miss but their series songs are just entirely unrivaled just the level of care and thought that goes into them is impressive itself & then the execution is so well done, the atmosphere of every one is so specific to the part of the story being told in it, & all the little details that seem stylistic at first that turn out to be relevant & important to the plot, the stringing together of events through those little details, that there always seems to be more to whats going on the harder u look, man i just absolutely adore aru sekai series. it hurts sooo much to take seriously bc its just so heavy but its sooooooo good.

lifes been weird and sad , got so much stuff i wanna say dont even know if thats the right subred to but here goes.i m 18 , from Greece , first year in Uni and life is not the way i want it to bei live on my own , rent is being paid by mom and her husband , month pocket money given by dad and by my part time jobat some point in high school i understood that our school years were our most carefree years , tho only now do i really understand itman this post is gonna cramp my fingers shouldve used the pcused to hang out a lot till 2nd year of high school then in 3rd year cause of me studying more i was hanging out less , used to have around 4groups of ppl to hang around then only one , cliche but i wasnt anyone special in school , gotta mention i went to a music middle-high school , only highlights i remember are in 2th-3rd grade trading blows with a girl (think she was 5th grade) ,3rd grade kissing a girl in her cheek then running away from the boy-horde coming after me , 4th grade trading blows with a 6th grader ,6th grade punching a guy for calling names my little sis (we good now see him out we talk he a nice dud) , 9th grade a girl i had a chance with but fucked it up big time , 9th grade breaking a cello almost getting expelled ,12th grade playing bass at a concert in Thessaloniki with a music group of my schooldidnt really have many close friends but there were some from school and other places you can call closer friends , but now even with them i ve started to fade away which i cannot bear but i m the type of giving up and not trying until i m lategot laboratory this morning and this is gonna take a while hope i can get some sleepfeels weird using reddit to express my thoughts i even find it a bit cringy talking to myself but oh welli wanted to visit a physiatrist because i ve been so mentally tired that i think i might have crippling sadness xD but i tried to arrange that back in July-August pre my 18th bday so she said a parent was required to be present so i just kept all the stuff to myselfi was learning classic guitar from 1st grade to 8th still play to this day , in music school i kinda learned h2p electric but didnt practice enough to be able to play good , also know some pianobeen listening to post rock and mostly fate music these past 10 monthssucker for good anime tho i ve been out of it lately havent even finished my summer ones , oregairu has a nice ending from what i got spoiled fromanyway thing is i am sad most of the time , i try not to show it cause i like the stereotype of being the strong guy that everyone can depend on and almost never see being emotional and also like the cool tempered guy type , tho lately i ve been craving a lot of attention that i drop the act of the calm n cool sometimesthings with my parents didnt go to well these past years , only now i can say that we ve finally kinda calmed down , mom and dad started falling out of it around 8th grade cause lots of fighting , big sis kindof took the role of mother while on her teen years , feels like she had it much worse than me10th grade sis leaves home to go elsewhere to start studies for uni , i m left with ma and lil sis back homethen i understand that i have to be there for my little sis which also got in my school that year (3kids-3years difference each) so i tried to assume the role of the big brother but she was closer to her older sister than me , i was closer to my older sister as well , feels like i was doing my lil sis wrong but i cpould relate more to big sis and could chat with her more about stufflil sis didnt open up to me a lot even to this day , she has been a lot more comfortable with me through the years i think cause she told me something important recently , kinda feelsbadman tho cause i wanted to be closer to her and i kinda tried but i think not hard enough cause she didnt seem to get any closer , cried once about it in front of my mother which was the absoluteliest worst cause i didnt want her to see me being fragile jesustho even now that i m not home i talk to her play some among us tried making her start xenoverse 2 that didnt go farhave some friends from school , we would only go all together at internet cafes , but mostly 4 of em would go out togetherin my school i had some friends from scouts tooi have an insta , used to post "cool" pics kinda stopped cause i like looking cool in front of others but i havent been in the mood to try in around a year nowused to be in some conservatory guitar groups with some other kids there , with one girl from there i used to be quite in touch until recently that i stopped seeing her for some reasons maybe i ll explain l8rwe had fun and i really mean it , we used to go on trips to play songs on different cities and stages , our group became kinda known the 2-3 good active years we were active , it still is but these years were the originals , now there are other peoplefucking christ its spring 2019 then autumn 2019 then lost motivation and let go , since March2020 i ve been doing some weights at home , tho when i look at myself in the mirror it doesnt really change how bad i feel about my body , i think my old motivation used to be a girl i used to have a crush on but not surethings with my parents werent all that great and i was mentally better when i would talk with them , they are openminded af and supportive too but puberty makes you see stuff differently like everyone is against you like the world is against you (last one might be true dunno yet) , living on my own now seems to be a bit better but as our Greek ancestors used to say theres no good without bad and the bad in this scenario is that its lonely as fuck , having lived for 18 years with my family it really hits a weird spot , everything feels lonelier now with the virus spreading around not being able to see others as much as we used to , uni doesnt feel nice , many people dont pay attention and its like the second half of 12th grade all over againgot my monthly money 4days ago , went from 200 to 9.28 quickly , when i have money i spend when i dont i m stingy , mostly like to build computers , watch lots of Linus , Paul , Kyle , Jay etc. most of my money goes to buying stuff about computers food , used to give lots of money to internet cafes when i used to hang out with the guys from school , not anymorewith the start of uni we all met new friends even i but i still feel like i am drifting apart day by day , stopped talking to my old girl friend cause i was kinda done with her attitude , called me some names i didnt appreciate because i put up with her attitude , most of the time in her own world , only would really pay attention and try to change herself when it was something she cared about , one of them wasnt her character , but to give the goods of her she was a good friend dont know if i can say she still is a friend or just someone i know , she helped me the other 20% her and i think that proved right when i stopped talking to her cause i thought she will see that i m not talking to her she ll think somethings wrong she ll message me to go out and have fun , send me a happy bday message posted some pics of me , didnt send me anything else after , stopped talking to her around the start of October , if i hadnt asked her something about her uni and if it wasnt my bday i dont think we wouldve talked in all of october . last saturday i was working in the area she lives in my city decided to call her sometimes didnt answer tried to suprise her and see how she is by going to her house , noone answered maybe they were on a trip idk , but it feels weird man , in the first half of the year me and a common friend of her and me went out one night , ended up being the bad guy to make her understand that she did something wrong that night , after she left i was left with our common friend talked about stuff and mostly her and i expressed myself , i knew that coming summer me and her would end up at different places so i wanted to tell her all the wrongs with her so that she could finally understand what i ve been putting up against and make her understand that she HAS to pay attention to people around her and that she will meet new people and that she ll have to be careful about her character , used to have a bit of crush on her back in 7th grade , can kinda understand why that went . Well that went my way for sure!! While unanimous, literally five minutes into the warzone I told Ian we have to go after Madison and Jacob. He agreed and then we rallied the troops. Love when a plan works out. 

An alliance called M&M&M was made between Matt, Madison, and I. We were thinking of doing Ian but we didnt want to push too hard because we didnt want to reveal our cards that we had something. I just hope us sacrificing Jacob will be a positive thing for us and not a negative. Im glad theres allinces forming now. Hope i can stay away from warzone this next round but who knows. Im going to try my hardest tho.

help. who knew that my blood revenge for wanting Nehe out resulted in ALL of the other Kilimanjaro reps to be voted off one by one. parting that with chips, there was 5 people repping that season... and now I'm the lone Survivor from that season. pray for me yalls.

Ugh!!! I blame Johnny for this. Scavenger hunt is usually my favorite challenge except the both times im doing it with Johnny :p  these are soooo weird again. On a real note, I'm not sure if I confessed this round yet that one of the reasons behind the Jacob vote was to put Nar in a numbers advantage should that come into play at anytime.  The point of the premerge phase is to build as many pathways to alliances/mutually beneficial voting blocks as possible that also have a vested interest to vote with you.  I have Maynor asking to be a duo with me, sure yeah man I do like you and hope to work with you deep in this game as someone that can help me cut Corey or Trace if working with them in the game becomes problematic, but I also know Maynor has a vested interest in Kait, which I do like Kait well enough but she can't be allowed to go on a run if I want a chance to make a run myself.  Corey wants to keep our partnership as secret as possible, which yes I do think is smart, it also relies heavily on trust.  At this moment in time I have no reason but to trust Corey.  That may change in the future, he wants to keep it secret, that's chill, but I'm going to have my own backdoor deals should shit hit the fan. Devon/Matt one of them put me as the scapegoat to Jacob, I don't know which and honestly I do not care which one of them it was. They are both standing in my way at this moment for the win.  That could change in the future.  The game is long and full of terrors.

Thomas is a fucking idiot honestly. Like, he has been to the war zone enough times to know that the WORST possible thing you can do is throw a name out on the first night. Everything always comes together a couple hours before tribal, and by putting names out there this early, he is basically just MAKING SURE that the vote will come down between him and Adrian. For background, Thomas came to me, still butthurt about being called inactive, telling me that he wants to vote Adrian. I am very into that plan, don't get me wrong. Adrian is one person that I have literally nothing in common with. But to come in, guns blazing, this early in the war zone is a HUGE mistake, one that will probably end in a lot of extra stress for Thomas. But, it is good for me, because even though Thomas likes to spill all the tea to me, he is someone that I could very well afford losing. Kait is finally in the war zone. This could also be a pivotal moment because I would be shocked if people do not gun for her this round. I don't really want her out yet because I feel like she's a great shield for the merge, but we shall see what people want. basically, even though I don't really have any of my closest allies in the war zone (ian, Corey, Madison), I might be okay because of Thomas v Adrian, and MAJOR threats being here. The only thing that could fuck me up is if Owen tries to pull something. I do not trust that kid and want him out early merge. But for now I am just trying to lay low and vote with majority.

against all odds, I'm still safe! Warzone looks like a crackden tonight and I'm nowhere near it. I hope Owen makes it out okay. Kait, though chaotic, is someone I'm getting closer to. I would like to have her around until around f9??? we'll see. Same kind of story w Maynor. I need Thomas and Stephen OUT. Timmy as well. They are on my Arya-style kill list. I've been immune for ??? 4 tribals in a row now??? I still have my save vote to use as I have not been to tribal since obtaining it. I have also acquired a rock-save thing that Ian and I dug up together. Basically, if we go to rocks, I can use it to save myself (immune from my rock being picked). Nifty lil power... If Chloe-Stephen-Trace-Matt-Adrian work together, they could get Thomas or Kait out. We'll see! I feel bad wanting Kait out as I do like her but if she goes w/o me having a hand in it... I'll be sad bc I like her but happy bc I think she's too smart to keep very long. She'll catch on to me. She'll plan my demise, which is exactly why I need her close to me as long as she's here. This warzone is by far the most crucial one in my game. I’m absolutely PARANOID at this point because Kait gave me some info that Ian is mad at me for telling Jacob to vote him, wasn’t my idea but okay. I’m at a point where playing in the middle will leave me getting absolutely squashed in the middle. My allies Kait and Adrian are totally at odds with each other, and Thomas is targeting Adrian and Adrian is targeting Thomas and like, I just wanna vote Chloe. I have the feeling that Adrian needs to go this time around, it would free me of the threat of being sign partners in this game and I’d rather leave bitter betrayals for the pre jury portion of the game. As long as I’m not getting votes and I can keep holding on to this idol and some semblance of good graces with everyone in the game I’m satisfied.

I'm highkey getting 15th again... and I'm gonna cry. Like this fucking hurts so much. People aren't talking to me and the few people are just talking about life and pretty much anything but the vote. Getting a third 15th placement will literally crush my heart and soul so much, so I pray that something works out in my favor.

I would be so sad if Kait goes, but it would be a smart move in all honesty because this is the first time she's gone to tribal. it was actually that guy that we played overwatch with together once.

ive known him since about december, but he was saying lots of homophobic and racist shit, so i was like eh might as well try to make him a better person, but to do that, you gotta get close, and i started liking him (literally @ past me why?????)

so i flirt a little here, giggle a little there, and he falls in love with me. i liked him too, but he liked me to a point where it was obsessive. he was telling me i saved his life and that out of everyone on earth im his favorite. i come out to him as trans one day, and after a lot of thinking, he was like “okay yeah im okay with this” and i was happy

however, like i said, he was really obsessive. he wouldnt let me play games with anyone else unless he was there, and when i tried to watch a show with one of our mutual friends, he gets all upset about it.

eventally, even though he liked me, he started being a real ass. i told him that i didnt really like him anymore and that i wanted to stay friends, and he turned it into this huge fight and ended it with “Forget it... Good night.” - and he used that phrase every (and “goodbye”) every time he wanted a conversation to sound final or like he was going to die if i didnt give him all my attention right then and there.

the fighting continued for a few months, during which he called me a sociopath, narcissistic, not worthy off being called a human being, and all that typa stuff. he started feeling suicidal - even though he felt that way before i met him, he started feeling it stronger because he didnt have me constantly fawning over him to ease it out - and he straight up told me that he blamed me for his feelings.

the fights got reaaalllll bad, and eventually he had a set day and time, and every time i said i was going to call his mom about it, he got really defensive and acted like i was attacking him, saying “dont test me” and shit

he became really emotionally manipulative and just flat out malicious tbh

the day came around and i blocked him because i didnt want to hear about it, and he started yet another fight. he didnt do anything though because half an hour later he came crawling back saying that he needed someone to talk to and that he had this whole change of heart and that he realized what his friends were worth and how he acted really shitty and that he was sorry

but he didnt change his behavior at all lmao

he kept arguing with me, so i started just. not joining as much and not talking to him as often and he got really pissy, asking me if i was talking to other people and accusing me of talking with this guy who he hates (the guy he hates left to make another server with all the people this guy was an asshole to so they could have a place where he wasnt there being a dick and the guy im telling you about acts like the victim whenever he talks about it like?? literally if u were a better friend they wouldnt have felt the need to?) (and i totally was talking to the guy bc the enemy of your enemy is your friend and all that) but he was a real ass about it. 

and saturday!! this saturday!!! he was an ass the moment i joined the call so i left and he got mad saying like “you know how i get upset when you leave the call” and i was like “i just??? dont wanna be there if ur gonna be mean to me the moment i join??” and he said

anyway we fought for 3 hours and rather than giving me any good reasons to stay he called me stupid and said i misinterpreted the message like?? how else am i supposed to interpret it????????

Sorority Rush and Tips

Rush week...oh what fun. 

Lets get say what I pictured rush week to be was way different than what it actually was for me. Now all schools might give you a different experience but it’s all the same concept. So here are the basics...

 Every girl rushing is referred to as a PNW which stands for Potential New Member, and every girl is put into a group of 15-20 (by last names) and is assigned a recruitment counselor. Your RC (recruitment counselor) is already a member of a sorority but has to keep the house she belongs to a secret so she doesn’t influence anyones decision. You absolutely can not talk about the houses you do and don’t like with any other girl or you might get dropped. I’m serious, don’t do it. Even if you trust someone with your dog’s life, someone could overhear you and taddle on you. Oh and also, rush is a dry week...no alcohol or anything else thats fun, so have fun.

At my school, the week was broken down into different sets, like this:  

Set 1 (Monday & Tuesday): meet all 13 houses

Set 2 (Wednesday): learn about their philanthropy

Set 3 (Thursday): house tours

*We got Friday off*

Pref Night (Saturday): Visit the two houses you come down to and pick one

Bid Day (Sunday): get your bid and meet your sisters!

If your school is a bit smaller, or greek life isn’t as prominent, your rush week might happen during school, not the week before like a lot of other institutions so the sets might be set up differently...idk.

Anyways, sets 1, 2, and 3 are basically the same. You’re just speed dating a bunch of girls. Fun right? And chances are you’re going to get asked “What’s your major?” or “Where are you from?” or “How do you like rush so far?” at lest 3000 times a day during these sets so just grin and bear it, the fun stuff will come later.

After set 1 you start picking the houses you liked the best and drop the ones you didn’t. HOWEVER, a house has to invite you back for you to be able to keep them. At U of A, we had to go from 13 houses to 9 and often times, a lot of girls didn’t get invited back to all 9 houses they chose. And that is perfectly normal no matter how butt hurt you might feel.

After set 2 we had to go from 9 (if you had 9) to 6 houses. I got dropped from my second favorite house after set 2 and MAN was I livid. I had great conversations with the girls in that house and they made it seem like they really vibed with me, but thats exactly what they’re trained to do...so don’t get too bent out of shape if this happens to you as well.

After set 3 was when we had to go from 6 to 2 houses. This was pretty hard especially if you had good connections with 3 houses like I did. I had no idea which house to drop but I knew in the back of my head which house I ultimately wanted in the end so I dropped the house that I didn’t have as well of conversations as the other two houses. 

Now it’s pref night. The most intimate and in my opinion, the most fun. We dressed up in cocktail attire and went to our final two houses where the houses  were decorated and they served us lemonade instead of water, the best. You talk to the person who “prefed” you (who wanted you to make it to this night) and at my school, the seniors talked about their experiences in the sorority and sang songs. A lot of tears were shed. THEN, after you go to both houses you have to pick just one. Scary. A lot of girls knew exactly which house they wanted and it took them a blink of an eye to make their decision, but others took hours to make their final choice. If you ever think to yourself, “What if I make a mistake and want the other house instead,” just trust the process. think back on the whole week and remember what impressions they left on you and the values each house had. It can be very nerve racking but you’ll end up in the house you belong. But also be prepared, the house you choose might not give you a bid in return and you could end up with your second choice or no bid at all (but that rarely happens so don’t fret).   

Bid Day is SO fun. Theres no more small talk with hundreds of girls everyday and no more stressing about which house to chose, because now you’re pledging one. Bid day for me was awesome, everyone met with their RC groups and gathered in McKale (our basketball stadium). There were over 3K girls there.. you could see all the excitement and anticipation in the air. But before we opened our bids, we all guessed which house our RC was in. Then they all lined up in front of us. Every RC sang the first house’s recruitment song and when the song ended, the RC’s in that house stayed standing while the rest of them crouched on the ground. After all the houses sang their songs, we finally opened our bids and left the stadium with the other girls in our new pledge class and the RC’s that were in our new houses took us to a venue where we met the rest of the girls in the house and hung out. 

Alright, so i’ve explained what the basics of rush week are and even shared some of my experience...now here are some tips.

August is probably one of the hottest months of the year, and it’s when a lot of schools start so battling the heat while trying to look cute was a STRUGGLE. It was 107 degrees during the rush week...something I was not even close to used to coming from California. It literally felt like satan sat his ass down on Tucson and didn’t get up until November. So sweating is bound to happen, especially if you have one house at one end of the row and then another house 10 minutes later at the complete opposite end. SOOO

1.) Wear water proof mascara, no one wants to talk to a raccoon

2.) Use setting spray

3.) Hair spray your hair if you curled it

4.) If you used concealer to conceal anything, bring that with you. It will melt off.

5.) Don’t wipe the sweat off, BLOT it off. No smudging here

6.) Bring deodorant, lots of it

7.) Wear sunscreen, theres no need to look like a lobster after 5 mins in the sun

At my school, our RCs had backpacks with deodorant, sun screen, perfume, mints, and coffee filters. Coffee filters?! What are those doing in there? Well since you asked...they are absolute life savers when it comes to getting the sweat off your face without ruining your make up. They soak it right up and leave you looking like you did in the morning with your perfect make up.

 The last couple pieces of advice that I will leave you are simple, 

1.) Go into the week with an open mind. No matter what you’ve heard about a house or if you have friends or family members in it, experience each house without any pre existing thoughts or feelings. It will make your experience a lot better and you truly will find the house where you belong.

2.) Buy blister band-aids now. The hours in heels will destroy your poor little feet. Trust me, I have the scars to prove it.

3.) Be polite and respectful. The days are long and tiering for you, I know, but its also long and tiering for the girls in the houses already too. They want you to like them just as much as you want them to like you, so keep that in mind. 

Have a blast!

Even though the days are long and hot, you only go through this week once. Thank God.

why is it so hard to focus or concentrate?

i just need to stay on task and get these things out of the way. it’s not even that much! I also need to sleep an ample amount of time so that I can be alert for class tomorrow and get everything done for my posters for graphic design I.

i dont really know what im feeling still. just depressed, i guess. i feel....like im not good enough. i think im struggling so much with physics bc im trying so hard but it’s not enough to get that A. i need to try harder and push myself to do better. i thought by now i would’ve fallen into a kind of rhythm and be pumping out lab reports like it was nothing and acing them all the time. But science isnt my strong suit and so, im struggling. and honestly, all the events that ive been thinking about have been impacting me in ways much heavier than i would like to admit. i dont want to say i just self harmed but i kind of did. i just scratched into my arm. deep. deeper. and i was tempted to do it all over my body. as an attempt of escaping this overwhelming burden and stress and strain. the scratches stung after but im tempted to do it again. my arm is so warm now. but i want to do it again. bc i feel so helpless. bc i feel like im trying but it’s not enough for an A. at least before i had excuses because of Genie dying or the election. I guess now I kind of have the fire and suicide and my granny other things. but these just happened recently. it’s not an excuse for how i’ve been doing in my classes thus far. i want to get all As. I want the semester to go by faster so that I can maintain my high GPA. I went here bc it was within my strengths of working hard. and I’m wondering if i just took on too many extracurriculars. i do want to be involved at church but i dont have time. i do want to do nonprofit work with in.powered but i dont have time. i do want to hangout with my ASO friends but i dont have time. i just need to really focus on my studies and worry less about my relationships. i cant afford to fail a class. i really cant. i have to pass everything and the best way to do that is to get the best grade so that theres not even a chance of failure.

i really really really hate failing and i feel like im failing at life right now. i realized that i didnt have enough time to stop by the health center so i got my tweezers and just went in. i def popped a bubble of pus but my splinter might still be there. it does still hurt to my hand but it might just be the result of an open wound. idk. im just so tired and i want the week to end already bc so much is happening and i cant fully comprehend anything and i just want to rest and take a break bc it really is much needed right now but i cant afford to miss class bc then i’ll be so behind and i cant miss work bc then i’ll have no money for food. i just have to wait until saturday to rest and hope that i dont have homework to work on. i just feel like im in a neverending stress loop, even though i’ve been pretty on top of my homework. i havent missed any deadlines and im not behind on anything and i have mostly all As. I just. I don’t know how much more of this that I can handle. Maybe I just need to get in the habit of doing homework immediately after class instead of resting and saving it for the weekend? Maybe it’s better to just grind hard for 5 days and rest 1 day? Instead of trying to balance it throughout the week? Because this. This is a lot to handle right now and I think I can survive until the end of the semester but I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it again. i am so emotionally and mentally drained but i literally do not have the time to rest. i just have to keep pushing forward. i cant afford to give up now. i’ll be way too behind in class. i just have to keep going.

andrew’s youngest brother ran away from home and i guess it happens kind of often. and i tried to be more empathetic bc i understand what it’s like to be in his shoes. you just cant trust anyone bc they all have a certain expectation of you and it’s hard to understand that if you’ve never been in that position. but i tried to reason with andrew and wonder why he isnt more worried. yes, he’s spoiled. but he’s his family. and i did not get along with my fam at one point either but when push comes to shove, they are there for me. and i’d like to believe that andrew’s fam is there for one another too. even if it doesn’t always seem like it. im wondering if they just need a break from each other. i think that’d be the healthiest choice for his brother. im just worried that he’ll end up like me. depressed and alone. but it might be better than staying at home, lying in his old, dirty habits. bc im sure that that’s how my family viewed me. and we’re better now and i cleaned up my act. but if i never left, i dont know if much would have changed. i just never felt good enough for them, no matter what i did. it was constant criticism. never any appreciation or encouragement. and it tore me apart.
