⠀ Generally very warm and approachable. A ‘mom friend’ who lacks naivete and is a reliably good voice of reason to those who need one. Mao Hua is playful and fun with friends, though her presence is neither loud nor particularly attention-grabbing.

⠀ She’s very non-confrontational and uninterested in choosing sides, such as when the Liyue Qixing and the Adepti were on rough ground. She merely washed her hands of their argument, saying that since her contract of employment to Rex Lapis had been long void, their spat was no concern of hers. “Arguments are too long, too messy. They’re not worth the energy or the trouble of getting unnecessarily involved,” is one of her reasons for leaving them to their own devices.

⠀However, when it comes to the favors that she agrees to do, or matters that concern her or those she keeps close, Mao Hua is much more determined and goal-oriented. Although she has her own set of morals and rules that she follows, she ensures that her objectives are met, even if it means doing things that others may consider immoral. Because of these recurring moral conflicts, she has grown more cunning at ensuring ends’ meet while also keeping herself out of any permanent trouble.

An old adeptus. Struck a deal with Rex Lapis during the Archon War, a favor for a favor. This agreement has since been fulfilled.

Doesn’t hold any particular Archon in reverence, not even Rex Lapis. If anything, she just saw him as her boss, but not as some god.

Although she does favors, she’s choosy about which ones she accepts. Especially ones that require discretion and legal maneuvering. But as a general basis she won’t do anything that could endanger herself, her people, or the contracts that are still presently relevant to her (i.e her contracts with Rex Lapis and the Liyue Qixing.)

She’s saved a lot of money across her life to the point that she sees mora as a mere trivial thing. It’s one reason why she chooses favors as the price for her services.
