Ohhh yeah! So idk if I've explained how my dragon rules work, but part of it is that the form they take effects their health/abilities/life span. So in this case when amari started spending a lot of time in her human shift (like 10 years of constant shift at that point), she started to gain a constitution similar to that of a human. While normal fire still couldn't harm her, her immunity to most magical/dragon fire was pretty demished by the point of her official banishment. Some people thought letting her just walk away was too light of a punishment...

#dragons tend to shift between forms a lot when they are young/staying in one form for too long when they are developing is usually bad #(thus the negative side effects for mat being forcefully stuck in his dragon for as a hatchling/amari staying human for so long)#but once a dragon is ''older'' they can stay as a dragon for a very long time #a dragons natural life span when they spend the majority of the time as a dragon is upwards of 2000+ years #while if amari lived out the rest of her natural life the way she was then she would have probably lived to 120-130 #so longer than a normal human but nothing a magic user couldnt achieve #my ocs #asks #im thinking amari was probably 60-70 in human years before she started sending her time as a human (where she looked about 19-20)#she still looked 20 at the time of her banishment but by the time she meets kana (around 5 years after that) she looks 22-25 #idk if that makes sense but its how their aging starts to assimilate to humans (aged a year in 10 then 2 in 5. then on until it syncs up)
