How did Tom and Allison meet? Did they fall in love quickly or slowly?

I’m assuming this is about Requirement AU, so I’ll answer for that one.

The two met at JDS! Tom was working there on the ink machine (and various other stuff around the studio) while Allison was brought on to voice Alice Angel, so he ended up seeing her around a lot while he was working. At some point, they ended up having lunch breaks around the same time and got talking.

While they weren’t the only POC in the studio* it was easy for them to get talking, since there was a lot they could relate to with both being noticeably non-white. Their interests weren’t necessarily the same, but that just meant they had more to talk about when they were able to. (Allison in particular was excited to hear about Tom’s line of work - she’d been interested in engineering as a child but not been allowed to pursue it.)

It didn’t take them too long to start enjoying each others company as more than friends - not least of all because Wally wouldn’t stop teasing Tom about how he should just confess to her already because he was obviously smitten. Tom couldn’t really argue with that - a pretty lady who’s interested in him talking about studio maintenance? How could he not fall in love with her.

(* Req AU!JDS was pretty dang diverse just because Joey didn’t see any reason to ignore good talent just because of “irrelevant” other details like their gender or race or sexuality. Partially because he was gay, and partially because with the JDS budget it wasn’t like he could be choosier anyway. And hey, if the competition didn’t want these great singers or animators or repairmen... Their loss, really.)
