#battlestar galactica #idk if i would categorize tigh as a bonafide trans man since the cylon/human thing doesnt rly reflect our gender binary #like if we were being 100% literal he'd prob be nb/agender too but i am not immune to old men with top scars #so i also like the idea of him having transitioned into a man earlier on in his life & then the cylon thing is like adam & eve #like classic ''you're trans but you pass so well that you technically lied to us'' rhetoric #& to him theres no question that he's always been a man; the transition was such a natural process like a change of clothes #but then he realizes ''hey um. they actually hate ppl like me. & i hated ppl like me. bc i didn't think i was any different from cis ppl''#with starbuck its more straightforward like i still hate her hypersexuality since its just the show being uncomfortable w masc women #but in this context it makes sense bc she's never known where she belongs #& then canon brings it home w the transformation of cylons into synthetic humans being seamless by the show's present day
