did we ever get an actual answer for if robotnik is gonna be in sonic 3 or not. or are we just gonna find out when the trailer comes out in like a year
#assuming that sonic 3 is gonna be based on sa2 (which we still dont really know for certain either but it feels fair to assume that)#idk if getting rid of eggman would be the best idea? because hes a main character and his relation to gerald is somewhat plot relevant#and based on context clues we can assume shadow was created by gerald in the movie universe too#or at the very least that he was created by a robotnik. if they decide to make a new character for some reason#but idk im sure they could find some way to write around that. didnt agent stone overhear the conversation about project shadow#i like agent stone. ive seen some interesting takes on him as the main villain for the next movie#maybe if robotnik died for real (or stone just Thinks hes dead) stone can be really upset about it and trying to avenge his death#and releasing shadow is part of his plan for that#which would be a cool parallel to shadow's whole deal. assuming his backstory in the movies is similar to what it is in the games
