made this piece for a cryptid-themed zine! i'm real happy about how this turned out, especially since i don't usually do full illustrations like this

ideas so i rememer

- krygen is like planhz but small and ADORABLE… has the long pretty curly hair; is just a little dogy; likes tattoos like his older brother, but doesn’t have that many yet; HAS THE FORBIDDEN SEVRIN TAIL !!!

- spalaes have 2 rows of horns going down their head; a little bigger/taller than the sevrins; scruffy; kind gentle giants (like all my rusts…)

- spalaes 2: spiz ALSO has a tail, lucky bastard; might make him a ghost for tazie soon hehe; has a bigass scar around his neck 😬

- make G0DKILLR’s bandanna look less shit and redesign her outfit; new hair too maybe but also i think she just fangirls for her super cool dad; might change the sun corruption scars to tattoos, but way less detailed than helian’s

- archae my beloved… design very close to original i think; doesn’t have crocus white hair; horns intact; no sun scars; really the most boring of everyone here but thats bc shes just a normal girl

- i lost my one sketch of azure but i remember her. she makes me So gay; cool prosthetic arms and back from work accident; might give her real horns this time bc shes earned it

- rehr is harder; more rough, more scars, scarier probably; might design gauntlets if i’m feeling silly; big scary…

- ive BARELY thought abt bengal but she is just a little catgirl i think. that’s all

- better colored sketch for kallie maybe; at the very least something polished enough to put on my select page

- also gotta design regeri, but that’s ez; he’s a lot like arveri but less punchable bc hes not a cunt; probably has a bunch of cool tattoos and likes going to cafes or something quaint idk; wears sweaters a lot

- aracors… rha looks sick as fuck; super cool mask and like bells tied in her hair; honestly her vibes take a lot of insp from some of the cooler clowns in the community so thanks guys for that; no paint bc sensory overload so her mask is painted instead: outfit has a lot of layers and colors but not like in a eyestrainy/goofy way; form fitting clothes

- aracors 2… scy is like rha but having a mental breakdown; doesn’t have the energy to dress up cool so she just wears ripped up jeans and old bloodstained hoodies; constantly looks kinda messy and exhausted and on the verge of collapse; actually has the cute curly chamaeleon sign horns, rha doesn’t

- aracors 3… enneyo is like just a little creacher; hasn’t really had enough time to develop the classic aracor Issues and start actively killing people as free therapy; in the weird little guy phase where she like fries ants for fun; still has cute aracor horns too; already in the church; wears paint unlike her older sister and mom; dresses fancy clowny like rha too; honestly just kind of unnerving to be around

- caprins 2… riaria is basically what gaitaz used to be; like really i’m just renaming her that’s literally it; only has the classic caprin horns, the big swoopy goat ones are super littol; has taz’s oracle powers but only a little, visions are super rare+random+only happen of the other middle ranks; she has a hobby of weaponsmithing though; her sun magic lets her imbue the traits of people into items, so each middle rank has a magic weapon she custom made as a gift

- caprins 3…!!! laambe i havent thought about a lot… honestly she is just small and cute; just a little sheepy gal; hasn’t met the rest of her rank yet; honestly i might have her meet taz to learn her powers i think it would be cute; horns haven’t covered her eyes yet so i can actually show what caprin eyes look like…!!!

i dont wanna tag all these names... well if nothing else im now appreciating how cool everyone’s names are. like i really popped off with a lot of their names. a couple for my fans who actually read this far:

- spalae —> anagram for laelaps, the inescapable hunting dog in some greek myth. bc military dogy

- adm. azure: see what i did there. it’s 8 letters technically. i struggle so much with ollipi names

- rexroa —> Felis rexroadensis, some extinct species in the lynx genus (i think?)

- aracor: ichor but ✨different✨

- honestly all the aracors have sick names! scyzio = oizys (greek goddess of misery anxiety and depression) rhamno = short ver of rhamnousia (alt name for nemesis, goddess who ‘enacts retribution against those who succumb to hubris’) enneyo = long ver of enyo (either a greek goddess of strife and discord or just war)

- literaly all of the caprins are just. goats or sheep. ‘gaitaz’ is literally the proto-germanic root for ‘goat’. riaria is more complex, i just mixed some letters around in ‘aries’ as in Ovis aries the domestic sheep. laambe is obvious. and caprin is literally just subfamily caprinae/tribe caprini, of which both goats and sheep are within

if i can finish all my hw today i might do some colored sketches of as many core bloodline trolls yet undrawn as a treat
