yep tumblr DOES do shadow banning! idk exactly why it does it but i had a mutual that got shadow banned for quite a long while for no apparent reason, so it's basically that you can keep posting whatever you want but your posts don't show up in the tags and your blog doesn't show up in the search function (and, i believe, you also don't show up on anyone's dash unless it's because someone reblogged your post, then it does appear because *that* person is not shadow banned, but the original post does not show up alone in anyone's dash iykwim). so yeah it's basically like you're not there unless someone else reblogs something from you 🥲

unfortunately, i don't remember how they had to fix it, but i think you have to contact with staff or smth? probably someone out there knows better than me, sorry :')

i mean, i did learn during the time that my mutual was shadow banned that if i just made a "post" with the url (like, just saying "@185northgower") and saved it in my drafts i could go to their blog with having to do it through a notif. it's not really useful and doesn't really fix the problem but it's sth i guess 😅

Either way I checked my settings and saw that the “don’t show this blog in tumblr searches” was enabled (I remember looking at settings in August and this wasn’t the case so it’s weird) so I disabled that and maybe I’ll show up again now? My latest post seems to be in the tag at least

I’m so thankful you told me abt it in the first place bc I truly wouldn’t have noticed anything, so yeah… I guess I’ll post/reblog some stuff and see and if that doesn’t help I’ll contact support abt it…

1. Are you named after anyone?

No😊 (and I say this confidently because I named myself)

2. When was the last time you cried?

Two days ago, on my birthday (I was just a little emotional), but @maxwellshimbo was there to comfort me💚

3. Do you have kids?

Not of my own, no. And it's unlikely that is ever going to happen.

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

I did ballet as a kid but quickly got tired of it and started playing football, which I technically STILL play (it's been 84 14 years💀) but I am falling out of love with it. I used to do archery for like a year which I absolutely loved and hope to do again sometime! I'm in a club for lifeguarding (German peeps will probably have heard of DLRG👀) so I spent quite some time at the swimming pool as well. Though I am not as active in actual training anymore. And I did ballroom dancing for a while. Like standard and latin dances. My favourite was probably Cha Cha Cha and my least favourite was definitely Quickstep😵‍💫 it was fun tho! I danced with one of my best friends and I did the leading parts which made me feel kind of gender euphoric. I also like to go for a run every now and then but overall I'd consider myself a not so sporty person. I like to relax a lot🥴

5. Do you use sarcasm?

I cannot live without. It just comes naturally.

6. What is the first thing you notice about people?

Just the overall vibe I guess. And whether I like them or not.

7. What is your eye colour?

It says blue-grey on my ID but I've been told they're actually more green-ish and I kind of agree.

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. I don't like scary movies, I think they're ridiculous.

9. Any talents?

Hm. Well...my dad jokes are pretty good🤪 but apart from that...I guess I'm quite creative?🤷🏻 I speak 3 languages fluently? I can touch my tongue to my nose? Idk xD

10. Where were you born?

In some small town in northern Germany. Fellow Germans will probably know it for one (1) big tourist attraction but I'm not going to specify it here.

I play theater. I play several musical instruments (bass, flute, ukulele, kalimba and some more but I'm not as good). I like taking pictures and editing them. Sometimes I write fanfic and/or poetry. And I like to relax in my bean bag🥴

I have a cat but I haven't lived with her in 3 years. (Due to an allergy🤧 and me moving out of my parents' house.) I visit her from time to time tho!

It used to be 1,68m on my ID but I recently had to renew it and now it says I'm 1,71m...I think I might actually be smaller than that though🥴

14. Favourite subject in school?

Always all the languages. Never any of the sciences. I loved music class as well. And all the school bands I played in. I miss that.

Please, that is the WORST question you could ask me right now😩 I feel a little lost. I'm currently studying to be a translator but is it what I really want? -> Mentally ill af & have extreme trauma. -> Chronically ill & disabled. I use a wheelchair to get around like a cool kid. I'm bedridden a lot. I'm always some flavor of sick & it's not going away no matter how much yoga I do or how many leafy greens I add to my diet.

-> An agoraphobe. I can leave my house long enough to see my doctors. Outside of that, I'm stuck in my house. On a bad day I can't even make it out of my bedroom. On a normal day, I have panic attacks when I step any further than my porch. On a good day, I can get to the mailbox with my Husband's help. My life is very limited, & I'm trying to work on that.

hullo, i love your blog ♡ saw your tags talking about BC making mistakes in English and how it makes you feel better about your own and idk it probably doesn’t matter much but I just wanted to say that there’s nothing wrong with having an accent or making mistakes! the majority of the English-speaking friends I’ve had spoke it as a second language and the single most annoying thing was other people stopping them to correct them every other minute even for tiny mistakes and all it did was interrupt the flow of the conversation and make them feel bad. Plus, many native English speakers don’t do English well either, I say stuff that drives my mother up the wall but I don’t really care so long as my friends understand me 🤷🏻

aww thank you 🥺🖤 it could come as a surprise since I write in english a lot and I'm confident enough not to stress about the mistakes I'm probably making while I write, but I'm extremely insecure about my accent and mostly refuse to speak :'Ddd finnish is so different that the accent is strong and I personally think it sounds ugly so it's hard to kinda get over that and try to convince myself that others don't mind it lmao.
