Interviewed for a city records position last week and while I was at work today I missed a call. Message asked for a call back to talk. Got an email a bit later apologizing that they wouldn't be offering the position.

Like... do places do phone calls to turn you down? Before I checked my email I was wondering how I was going to make some decisions, and then it's like

oh, okay then

Going to call her back tomorrow because now I'm just really damn curious if they gave me, like, ten minutes to call back before deciding to move on, or idek

#kite rambles #I had asked about the potential for part time because of the school job and they said it wouldn't work that way #and based on how they responded to that question I'm not terribly surprised about no offer #and in a way kind of relieved? because I wasn't looking forward to deciding whether to turn it down or back out of the school district #but now I'm super curious what iiissss it #but yeah phone call while I was at work then twenty minutes later an email #oh I wonder if there's something els opening up that she thinks I' b a good fit for #I think actually I did get a call once from a lady that wasn't the final decision that thought I'd do well somewhere else #huh #anyway it's only been a few days at the district but I think I kind of like it so far #right now just basically doing inventory of what documents xist and it's very straightforward and relaxing #makes what endds up being a 12 hour day not terrible. Like I only just realized that typing it out that it's been 12 hour days w/ both jobs #idk how long I can keep that up but my bank account will bee happy #oh that's a LOT of ramble I neeed to go to bed
