「 just for reference, the notes in small font, are just little additional thoughts from me. the text in pink and italics marks the start of a new question. 」

preferred fic length(s) in terms of words?
heh and then there’s me who’s only been able to come out with blurbs recently due to lack of inspiration ahaha 💀

do you prefer when a long fic is split into multiple chapters (a series)?
the “other” answers were as follows...
i belive each writer should write as much as they want, you guys have an amazing creativity so i don't have any preference.
either, i’m honestly fine with all. as long as the chapters are cut off and separated well then it doesn't matter.
writing wise, chaptered fics!! reading... if it's within 4k i’d read long fics but even longer... i’d prefer series!
unless it’s like over 30k i prefer it to be in one, i forget what happens or that i was reading it if it’s released separately.

and do you prefer reading a series over fics in general?

do you prefer reading smaus over written fics?
the “other” answers were as follows…
both — 3 votes
i think smaus + some written fics are just right ☺❤❗
usually it's smaus but some parts can be written. i feel wholly written fics are kind of draining dkkdomsad idk
please don’t at all let this stop you from writing smaus! so many people love reading smaus, and they’re super popular. if you have fun creating them, by all means do!

do you feel lazy to finish reading smaus if there are a lot of written parts?
the “other” answers were as follows…
i don’t like/read smaus — 2 votes
well, long smaus can really be exhausting to read especially if the plot is not progressing. so i'd say this depends for me. also i tend to skip a couple chapters in between if i know the direction the plot is progressing in. so in short, i won't say i feel lazy but i don’t feel excited either unless we're talking about something that has my attention from the very first chapter.
honestly, not really? i only lose interest if we have very serious back to back writing parts. but if there's some fun content in between, it's great!
it’s not laziness, it’s more i struggle to pay attention when it’s written.
sometimes i do feel lazy but i’ll always continue to read it when i’m in the mood.
i hardly read smaus even if there are written parts.
depends on if there's no note or warning that there's a written part cuz I would accidentally skip over them cuz I didn't know there was a written part.

what time(s) of the day do you most often read?
i thought this was helpful to include in the survey, because i always struggle to figure out when i should have my works posted in order to get the most exposure possible. but when considering this, remember to pay attention to time zones, too, which you can find after the next question.

what day(s) of the week do you most often read?
to go along with the previous question, i think this is helpful to know when to post to get the most exposure on your work.
— ⋅⬖⋅ —
what time zone are you located in?
i’m not going to bother including a picture because there were just so many time zones i didn’t include. so here’s a summary (results are listed from most to least popular)…
