I maybe use the demiromantic and demisexual beams too much but I have characters I see as one, the other, or both. Some I'm certain some I'm still debating as I do take different things into account.

For example, I'm pretty sure Muku is giving at least demiromantic(probably both but at least demiromantic) but that might just be me projecting because we're kinda similar and I might be demiromantic but I might specifically be hopeless romantic demiromantic and that's the vibe I'm getting from him. Like he's definitely getting friend crushes and if he feels romantic attraction it's definitely after he's grown attached to the person at hand. And like I think Muku and friendships is like so good? Like idk how else to put it. (Lowkey Masumi is also in this category for me not that we're similar but like the hopeless romantic, demiromantic thing feels like it could be him. Like idk people who fantasy about love and being in a happy relationship but like don't actually feel that initial attraction and maybe could mistake something for it. Idk if that makes sense, he's not my area of expertise. I'm not 100% but I'm leaning towards this read because these two are lowkey sides of a coin to me.)

Juza just is demiromantic demisexual to me. Uhm. (Or maybe just somewhere under the aroace spectrum but demi ) Same for Sakuya. Like with these two they're kind of giving both I don't think they have like a "oh this is a super romantic gesture and can only be done in these situations" filter. I think they just kind of vibe and don't really have those type of attractions much if at all? You know?

Then like apart of me really wants to hit Itaru with it but idk. He's not demisexual to me, like I don't think he falls under the ace umbrella. But the aro umbrella... maybe? Idk he mentioned that sometimes unrequited love is (oof what was the word he said?) better(?). And he somewhat gives that he might've had crushes but also I don't know? He might not have, he might've formulated his opinion on unrequited love through viewing the world you know? Very in the fence about Itaru like I want to say he is but like hm. I need to see more interpretations of him. Especially because he's somehow my default projection character so I can be misguided in my assessment.

Then there's Citron who maybe I should've waited to talk about Muku for this part but there's only one main similarity I'm thinking of so it's probably fine. Now Citron, to me, is demiromantic demisexual. And like this is the hardest one because I feel like I might be the only one who feels this way? Maybe not idk. But for me, Citron pretends very well??? Like sure he can flirt but like... I don't know, he said in the first arc that, he hasn’t experienced rejection because people are usually going after him not vice versa. But I want to add that I don't think he has experience rejecting either? as he didn't know how to flat out rejection his fiance, Leila. But also he does give that he has experience? Like if you were to categorize the Mankai cast as "probably has dated" & "probably has never dated" he's going in the former.

And like (unless my reading comprehension has failed me again) sometimes in fics they kind of talk about how much love he has and it sometimes feels equated with romantic love but I think actually it's the opposite, he has so much general love and like romantic love isn't very prominent(?) in him. And this headcanon is getting a little backstory headcanon-y but like. To me it feels like Citron has dated because people asked him out but like he didn't have those attractions to them so while he would do the relationship things they wanted to do he treated them kind of the same way he treated them before, the way he treats everyone and they maybe didn't feel special as his partner and broke up with him and like he felt sad/bad about it but he wasn't like rejected or romantically heartbroken.

Is this making sense? I know he's a prince with a fiance when would he have time, idk. It feels like he has. Or should have. Like this feels like so him to me? Idk maybe it's just me. But yea, demiromantic demisexual Citron makes sense to me.

(Oh the Muku comparison was the treating everyone the same type thing. But I do think that once in a relationship Muku he would have all these ideas about how they should be because media lol.)

But yea. Thought are some of my thoughts on that.

TOUCHSTARVED Updated Demo Shtuff

[SPOILERS] Anyone feeling a bit unsure about some of the changes to the demo?

Honestly, idk how to feel about the changes to Leander's dialogue and personality... but I want to play the whole thing a few times before really formulating an opinion. We're naturally going to be somewhat resistant to change when it comes to things that work, and I don't want to be too biased.

For now, I guess I'll say that I really liked the new area that the main character gets to explore with Kuras... ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡) ... That was a nice change of scenery, for sure. Very beautiful drawing.

Also, the Hound backstory is gone! That's so incredibly sad! I've been designing an MC and that backstory was the best for them :(( I'm probably going to use it anyway, tbh... There was so much potential to it...

Current minor gripes:

The game continues to imply that the MC is shorter than the cast sometimes, which can be a bit eh...

I think the editor may have forgotten that the MC sleeps the entire day away after meeting Leander. There's some points where the game acts as though everything is still happening on the same day. That is, unless I'm actually blind.

If Mhin is from somewhere else, as Kuras implies in his route, but Mhin outright states that they grew up in Eridia when you first meet them in the new version, why doesn't the MC notice that when talking to Kuras? Either Mhin is lying about their origins to both the MC and Kuras, or they've told Kuras one thing and the MC another, or it's an error. Anyone else notice this?

The NECK description for that lowlife guy, man. It wasn't great before (my thighs are massive lmaooo - dude would be built like a one piece character), but I don't think it's great now, either. I honestly think they should just show that the guy is an imposing figure through other means. They continue to imply that Ais is taller, but this guy can't be?

Mhin deserved more :( I liked their intro, but... idk... I would have liked more? (Ｔ▽Ｔ)

Nvm I decided to add most of what I feel here:

I guess there is one thing I find odd about the characterization of Leander, and it's all the little moments that we've lost. Like the moment where the Bloodhounds (now Adderstones (?)) get angry at the MC for bringing up the Senobium. Leander didn't act until they looked to him for help, but in this one, he simply gets up and takes the MC outside. Hrm...

Overall, they seem to have made him more earnest and a bit more straightforward, likely to lull the player and the MC into thinking he's harmless, but after all the advertising... all that marketing basically confirming that he's a real piece of work... I dunno. I think it could've been more subtle?? Like in the previous demo?? His cheerful and flirty attitude, which is muted in the updated demo until later, is what almost got me in the previous version of the game. I wasn't completely suspicious. It kept me guessing.

Now, I just see through every gesture. That scene we get with him at the end of his route thus, and please forgive my language, freaked me the absolute fuck out. Had the game not shoved it in your face that he's a Bad Guy so much, I feel as though I wouldn't have immediately panicked when he locked the door. I'm likely to get a bad end with him because I'm so cautious now, tbh. Whoops lmao. Like, okay, anyone can get away with a few comments (the leash one was wild), and MC does question him a bit after all that manipulation, but surely a situation like THAT is bound to be more alarming to a person? Especially after so many near death experiences and meeting so many shady people? Is my preference for a slower pace, like in the other routes, making me a bit of a dingus?

There's a real good moment, though, and it's after the MC shows Leander their curse. He asks their name. Suddenly, after revealing what could be a weapon against the Senobium, you become a person of interest to him. Although, person might be a stretch. As such, I kind of understand these changes. He's the reassuring, trustworthy guy in a sea of assholes. Guy wants to isolate you as soon as possible so that you'll become reliant on him and only him, and what better way to do that than giving the MC what they so desperately crave while they incur debt after debt? I just... I wish they hadn't jumped the gun so fast?

Anyway, these are all my thoughts. Leander's route was still enjoyable for the most part haha. It really shows the kind of person he is. I haven't felt that unnerved by a character in a while!

I dunno! It's my first playthrough, so my opinion is liable to change. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts, too.

World building details beneath the cut

Details are in bullet points because I'm still working on various details

Maddie and Jack are Ancient Sheikah tech researchers (more like Jerrin than Purah or Robbie; they aren't Sheikah themselves, but Vlad is)

The shrines are portals/rifts to the Spirit Realm; every region has a few but they went inactive a while back (but recently became active again while still locked)

They became inactive because a demon king is sealed in the Spirit Realm; supposedly, heroes guarding the rifts disappeared to close the portal form the other side, locking themselves in the Spirit Realm with no way back

How to open the portals is a closely guarded secret and no one knows how to do it anymore exactly, but they know it involves ceremonial garments

Danny figures out how to open the one his parents are researching by accident and stumbles into the Spirit Realm

The general plot revolves around going back and forth between the Mortal Realm and the Spirit Realm, finding heroes of yore and the heroes who stepped up to replace them and figuring out how to stop the demon king from returning

Demon King is Pariah, BTW, and the ones trying to revive him are the League of Assassins

Gotham is a city in the Spirit Realm

This is gonna be a demon twins au

The Fentons live close to the Lost Woods/kokiri forest; they found Danny sitting on the shrine just outside the woods because "he was too old to stay with the kokiri anymore". They said "it's free baby" and took him in. He doesn't remember much from that time

Only someone born in the spirit realm can open the rifts. Danny finds out the fun way that he was born there (mid game boss fight ig)

Part of the game play revolves around catching ghosts and returning them to the Spirit Realm...but you can also release them during fights or puzzle solving or adventuring to produce certain effects

Basically, you work with the teen titans/young justice/etc in the Mortal realm and you work with the justice league in the spirit realm, but you also have to catch ghosts, and most importantly of all, collect outfits

Idk what the conclusion is but I'll probably write this someday

This au is inspired by botw, totk, oot, tp, mm, and other Zelda stories, but it's really a LoZ flavored story and not a LoZ crossover, so I'm not sure there's going to be a Zelda or a Link or a Ganon

A short rundown is MePhone4 is an alien hunter made by Cobs looking to redeem himself to his creator. With his team (the II contestants), they look for new aliens to capture and end up finding the Algebraliens.

So this is basically an II/BFDI crossover!

Cobs created the Meeple products to hunt down and capture other alien life for him to use - what for, no one really knows. MePhone4 was once a great hunter, but his recklessness and disobedience led him to fail too many missions and get kicked out. He was told that he could return when he brings Cobs new aliens and proves himself. So MePhone4 goes to some old friends - the contestants from a tournament he held a year ago. With them, he starts a new tournament to train his own team and show Cobs he's one of the best damn hunters he ever made.

And his plan is working... that is, until he comes across the Algebraliens, a kind of alien he can't beat...

Hero Name: Monarch

Unofficial spokesperson for the Hero HQ, bc she's beloved by the masses and can stay calm & collected in the spotlight. In other words, he's the best cannon fodder for them 'cause she's got both high popularity ranking and PR skills.

Power is physical control(? idk what to call it), anyone who sees their glowing white eyes has to move in any way she commands. For example, he could tell someone to drop the gun, and that person would have to drop it. She can't control minds though, so everyone is fully conscious during the control & he can't tell people to think a certain way. + the control stops when Eret can't see you anymore/covers their eyes, with sunglasses, etc.

Hero HQ set his image up to be some sort of lethargic royal, never moving more than they need to- but Eret can run in heels & throw things with scary precision actually. She carries knives around just in case, and later they acquire mini grenades! :D

He can call up storms and/or rain/thunder/lightning separately- indoors or outdoors, it doesn't matter.

Also, given enough material, he can build things in seconds! He essentially draws out a blueprint in his mind and moves his hands accordingly, and the materials just assemble themselves. This is usually v exhausting though, it's total knockdown for him if the build is big enough.

Adopted by former hero Puffy(Hero Name: Captain Puffy) as a teen

Is friends with fellow hero Tina Kitten(Hero Name: Carrot Cat... Probably. I'm still working on it)! Tina's powers(basically Cat™️) overlap with other, more popular heroes though, so Foolish got way more support from the Hero System than her. Foolish feels bad about this and tries to help her get more recognition, but there really isn't much he can do.

Hero System favors popular heroes and gives them waaaaaay too many patrols, so he's always exhausted now that he's in the top 10

After the Golden Shark is announced to be in recovery, the videos of Monarch chasing down Redrum in heels becomes a sort of internet meme

HI GUYS MY FIRST ART POST

since i have no clue what kind of art to post on here yet i decided to do something fun!!!

I'll be designing and drawing every single cat in the into the wild allegiances, hopefully uploading each day! yeah im only doing into the wild (for now) cause i would like to stay alive and breathing thanks!

im gonna start explaining and babbling about the designs now,,

firepaw is TECHNICALLY not the first cat in the allegiances but come on i have to do him first he's FIREPAW. I didn't have much of a thought process for him other than mmmmm yes fire. I really wanted to add some blue to his eyes cause like, blue fire haha but i couldn't find a way to do that without making the whole design look weird.

Next is bluestar! bluestar with long hair my beloved. i tried to make her as BLUE as possible without making your eyes burn off, but she is VERY BLUE

Now for redtail! this one was a bit more tricky to be honest, i wasn't too sure of what to do because, i sorta forgot how i perceived redtail lmao?? most of what i was thinking while designing him was.....hmm spottedleaf brother...... of course he has his signature red tail, and i wanted to give him that sort of calico kinda hair color, like how people dye their hair to be calico yeah i was going for that. like he dyed his hair but it's actually just like that.

And lastly, spottedleaf! i think you all can clearly see the neapolitan inspiration here lol. I was thinking of how i was gonna design her, and a lightbulb lit up above my head and went ICE CREAM ICE CREAAMMM so here's neapolitan spottedleaf! i also this these colors make her look like she smells good which is a trait of hers i guess, like look at that cat and tell me she doesnt look like she smells like vanilla and strawberries and chocolate. I also made an effort to have spottedleaf and redtail to resemble or mirror eachother! that'll probably become a pattern with the siblings I'll be designing.

also side note, literally i drew these with a pencil on paper, lined it with black paint and a stiff paintbrush and THEN transferred the drawing into ibispaint. just wanted to put it out there...heh... probably one of my new favorite ways of drawing ever.

And they were rly good “friends” n such r something, aaaand some time after he joins TBB he visits the old place where he used to reside with the other guys in the domino squad (I forget where *sob*) And she’s is surprisingly still there. Heartfelt angsty ?kinda? I Dream Of Forever

Summary: Summary: You’ve been a bartender on Rishi since you were old enough to take orders correctly. Echo was a Clone Trooper turned ARC Trooper stationed on Rishi who was a little more than friends with you. You legitimately believe he’s dead. But when a group of clones land on Rishi, you come face to face with the man you hoped would be your forever.

A/N: I thing I got the general vibe you want, but if I didn't please let me know and I'll do something else.

You’ve been a bartender at the same bar on Rishi since you were ten years old. Your parents had debts to the bar owner, and they sold you to make up for it. Well, you and your siblings.

You’re the lucky one.

Your…owner? Guardian? Whatever he is, he treats you like a beloved granddaughter. He buys you clothes and food and allows you to go to school…and until you reached the age of majority at 18, you only had to work four hours a night four days a week. 

He even paid for you to go to college, and he pays you well enough that you have your own home here on Rishi.

You’re lucky.

Your older brother, you know, ended up becoming a gladiator in the Outer Rim, and last you heard he’s an enforcer for the Hutt Cartel. Your older sister, however, became a drug runner for a Spice Cartel and last you heard she’s moving from rehab center to rehab center.

You’re lucky.

Maybe if you repeat it often enough, you’ll believe it.

All things considered, Rishi isn’t the worst place to spend your life. The area you live in is warm and bright and right on the water. Not to mention you’ve got several friends here that you would miss if you left…or if the Empire decides to actually deal with the pirate problem.

You’re not worried though.

The Republic’s war with the Separatists barely touched Rishi afterall, aside from having a single watch station that has been abandoned for years now.

And you don’t expect that the Empire will push too much.

Your gaze drifts from the food stall that you’re visiting, lingering on the small, almost overgrown, old Republic comm station. Once upon there had been five men stationed there. Hevy, Droidbait, Cutup, Fives, and Echo.

While you had some concerns as to how the pirates of Rishi would react to obvious soldiers spending time in their bars…people were surprisingly okay with them. More than one of them getting an offer to join different crews.

A small smile lifts your lips at the memory of your boys laughingly turning down offers of pirate crew memberships.

The Dominos had been Rishi’s, more so than the Republics, and people raged when they heard that they died.

First when Droidbait and Cutup died, and then later when they heard that Hevy was killed on Kamino. And then even later when Echo was blown up, and then Fives was killed-

Fives’ death was kind of the final straw for Rishi. 

Even now, the Pirates of Rishi are more than happy to raid imperial vessels, in honor of their Dominos.

You step around a group of Mercs, all of whom have dominoes tattooed on their hands, and start to meander your way back to your home. You miss them. All of them.

But, if you’re going to be honest, you probably miss Echo the most.

He was a lot like his brothers, loud and boisterous, and always ready with a joke or a quip, or to finish a joke that his twin set up. He was always the first to greet you with a grin, and the last to say goodbye at the end of the night.

But, unlike his brothers, he flirted with you a little shyly, as though he wasn’t sure what he was doing.

It was charming and sweet, and you found yourself smitten with him. 

He didn’t, quite, get over his shyness with you even after the first time you invited him into your home with tempting kisses. He was still a little shy even after the tenth time you invited him into your home, and your bed, with teasing touches and adoring kisses.

You wanted forever with him, and you thought, hoped, that he wanted the same.

And then he left, and you never heard from him again.

You suppose, in a way, it makes sense. Why would a soldier want to slum it with a bartender who’s technically a slave.

Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.

After all, you still dream of forever with Echo. Only now, your dreams are definitely castles in the air.

After all, dead men don’t get happily ever afters.

“We need to land somewhere,” Tech says to his brothers, a frown on his face, “The damage to the ship is…far too severe for me to repair without landing.”

“Where can we land, though?” Wrecker asks, “It’s not like there are a large number of places that will accept us.”

Echo eyes the star map speculatively, “I…may have an idea.” He offers, as his gaze lands on a specific planet. A bright smile dances across your memory, and a loving laugh echoes in his ears.

He’s a kriffing fool.

Hopefully she won’t turn him away.

“Well?” Hunter prompts when Echo doesn’t continue right away.

“I think we should go to Rishi.” Echo says slowly.

“Rishi!” Tech sputters.

“That’s a pirate planet, Echo.” Hunter says, “They won’t react well-”

“Do you have a better idea?” Echo asks.

The room falls silent for a moment, and then Tech sighs, “It is up to you, Hunter. Rishi is the closest planet we can land on.”

Hunter pushes his hand through his hair, “Fine. Do it.”

An hour later, the Marauder lands on an open pad, and no one comes to the ship to speak to them. “Is this…normal?” Tech asks.

“Yeah, pretty much.” Echo replies with a shrug, “We should probably not wear our armor here,” He adds. He’s already changed into civilian attire, and he’s somewhat anxiously rubbing his arm just over where his scomp is attached. 

“Why?”

“Because our armor screams ‘clones’ and I’m not sure how the pirates will react to seeing clones now.” Echo replies dryly, “I’ve heard rumors of Rishi based Pirates raiding Republic and Imperial transports lately.”

Hunter agrees that it’s a reasonable precaution, and they all hurriedly change into civilian attire, before they get off the ship, with Omega clinging to Wrecker’s hand. And then, almost as one, they turn to Echo.

Echo sighs and rubs the back of his head, and then he turns and heads deeper into the city.

Some things have changed, new people, new stalls, but most everything else is the same. He pauses in front of a specific bar, and peers in, his dark eyes scanning the faces of the bartenders for a moment, before he motions for his brothers to follow him some more.

“Are you lookin’ for someone?” Wrecker asks.

“Yeah. Someone who, hopefully, won’t be too angry at me and will be willing to help.” Echo says.

“A friend?” Omega asks.

“Yeah, something like that.”

Echo leads them away from the shops and docks, and over to a row of apartments. He scans the buildings for a moment, before he turns and heads to one of the smaller buildings, and he stops in front of a plain door, with flower boxes in the windows.

His lips curl up in a small smile, Fives made those flower boxes early one morning when he was hyped up on Caf. They were crooked and lopsided, but it looks like she kept them. Though it looks like she painted them. “Wait here.” Echo says to his siblings, before he walks over to the door, and he knocks twice.

“Just a moment!” Her voice comes from the other side of the door, and Echo doesn’t fight his smile.

She sounds exactly the same. 

Stars, please don’t let her be too mad.

The door slides open, “Yes? Can I help yo-” She stops mid-sentence when she sees who’s standing there, “...Echo?”

“You grew your hair out,” Echo replies, a small smile lifting his lips, “It looks good. You look amazing. I’m sure you have a question or twenty, cyar’ika-”

Echo’s not able to finish his sentence as she flings her arms around him and crashes her lips against his. His arms fold tightly around her and he immediately kisses her back, and it’s almost as if no time has passed at all. 

If he focuses, he can almost hear Fives wolf-whistling and hear Cutup making lewd comments.

And then reality snaps back into place when he hears Tech’s dry voice, “Ah. That kind of friend.”

Echo carefully pulls back, and reaches up to gently cup her cheek, using his thumb to brush a tear away, “I’m sorry for not comming you, cyar’ika.”

She shakes her head, “We were told that you died.” She whispers, “Fives said…” She trailed off, “And then Fives died, and, kriff, the death of the last Domino started a war between the pirates of Rishi and the Republic/Empire, why would you bring them here?”

“Our ship is damaged-” Echo started.

“Get in. In. All of you!” She drags Echo into her home, and she doesn’t shut the door until Hunter is in the apartment as well. “Honestly Echo,” She rounds on him, “If you commed I would have told you to go literally anywhere else.”

“I wasn’t sure you’d answer.” Echo replies.

There are pictures of her with Echo, and with the rest of the dominoes on the walls. There are also pictures of her with a large, scarred man. And of her with a too slender woman.

“What do you need? I can probably get most of the materials sent to your ship.” She says.

“I have a list.” Tech offers as he hands her his datapad.

She copies it and sends the list to several of her friends, “Alright, you should have most, if not all, of what you need by the morning.”

“Are we in danger here?”

“On Rishi specifically? No. Not so long as you don’t draw attention to yourself.” She replies, “I’d offer to let you spend the night, but I don’t have much room.”

“We can stay on the ship,” Tech replies.

“Echo, are you going to stay here?” Omega asks.

Echo doesn’t take his gaze off of his cyar’ika, “If I’m allowed?”

“I’ve never turned you away before.” She counters.

Echo smiles at her, “Do you remember the way back to the docks?”

“I remember.” Tech says, “Come on.”

The door opens, and then closes again, leaving Echo alone with his cyar’ika.

She smiles at him, soft and warm and slow, “You used to be shyer about public displays of affection.”

“I used to have legs and two hands too,” Echo replies, it's a weak joke, but a joke all the same. “I’m so sorry I never commed you.” He says after a moment, “I thought…it felt cruel, reaching out to you when I couldn’t actually touch you.”

“It’s okay.”

“It’s not.”

“Echo. I forgive you.” She walks over to him and she kisses him as if no time has passed at all, all loving and soft and sweet.

She’s always been unfairly tempting. Her lips and her touch encourage him to stay and enjoy what she’s offering. And Echo has always been helpless to deny her. 

He’s not surprised when he falls into her bed, her lips needy against his.

Later, much later, they’re lounging in her bed, and Echo is trailing his lips across her bare shoulder.

“Cyar’ika,” He murmurs against her shoulder, “Come with me.”

“Come with you where?” She asks, her voice light and dreamy.

“On the Marauder. Away from Rishi. I’ll protect you-”

She turns and looks at him, her smile so sad, “You know I can’t.”

“You deserve so much better than being a slave for your parents' debts,” Echo whispers.

She rolls so that she’s facing him properly, “Echo, your brothers don’t know me. And if I had to guess, your ship is pretty small. Me going with you isn’t fair to them.”

“You deserve more.” Echo repeats.

“I don’t like life is about what we deserve,” She replies, as she reaches up to cup his face, “So, in the morning, you’re going to return to your ship, to your brothers…and you’re going to leave Rishi. And you’re going to go back to not comming me, and it’s just how it’s going to be.”

“No.”

“Echo.” She sighs his name, and he shifts so he’s looking right in her eyes.

“No.” He repeats, “I’ve given up so much. My body, my batchmates, my twin. I’m not giving you up. Let me be greedy. Just about this one thing.”

She sighs again, but she looks touched. “How about…a deal?”

“What kind of deal?”

“My contract with my…owner is coming to an end. At the end of the year, I’ll have made enough to pay off my parents' tab with him.” She says softly, “On that day, I will comm you and come to where you are. No matter where you might be.”

“Do you promise?”

She laughs softly, “Echo, I’ve been dreaming of forever with you since the first day we met. Now that I have the chance to have it, it would take an act of god to stop me.”

Echo crashes his lips against hers, “I want forever too,” He breathes against her lips, “So we have a deal.”

She smiles at him, “I love you, Echo.”

He blinks at her, momentarily surprised, and then he laughs and kisses her deeply, “I love you too.”

Soooo I might change this, but, the 'Xander' that died was a robot made by XF-Ture that he replaced himself with during the killing Teruko thing-

The smile on his bandana possibly glows in the dark and he actually has the bandana covering his face a lot??

The MonoTV eyepatch changes with his emotions

The robo arms work and are possibly either connected to him or they have some sort of.... Bluetooth connection to him???

Part of the reason he has robo arms is to dunk on Whit since- ...y'know....

So, he has beef with Whit- and Charles for some reason, perhaps because Charles took his place of helping Teruko?

He finds it hilarious when Charles gets tackled (David probably does too if Xander shows him)

After seeing MonoTV chasing Teruko, Xander possibly goes to someone in XF-Ture and shyly/awkwardly asks if he could have wheels, as in roller skates or blades or something-

Jokes?

Sooooooo, with the wheels thing- I had made a joke that was like- Xander later falls while attempting to use them and MonoTV is just like "Wow, you suck at this!"

I also made a previous joke before making it the mm Xanvid au (Which is possibly platonic idk yet) that after getting discovered he goes something like: "Hello -insert all survivors-" and then to David if he was still there: "Hi, David!" In a cheerful voice, similar to what Cyn did in the last episode of Murder Drones

This one is new and just random but I thought of like- if the humanoid MonoTV design I had tried to make awhile ago randomly became a thing and ran to Xander and hugged him while going "Boss!!!" And Xander either goes "Who the fuck are you?!" Or he just decks it-

I feel like my switchy side has come out so much more recently and my oh my how the conse's have quenced 💀 2 irl tk stories incoming - both helping in and then later being the victim recipient of gang tkling...

okay so first story happened about 2 weeks ago and the second happened a few days ago.

so I had my friends over at my place and our friend E (yes same E from my previous story) had had a pretty bad day and we were trying to cheer him up. we were sitting around on my couch, with E laying on the floor, and my friend next to me, "A", goes "you know Bug, I know one way we could get E to smile". now, we have previously tag-team tkled E before, because it takes two of us to stand a chance against him lol. so when he heard that, he immediately broke into a nervous grin and put his hands up in preparatory defense saying "i dont know about that,, thats not necessary,,," etc. but it was too late the idea had already taken hold. he stayed where he was laying on the ground while I grabbed his hands and tried my best to hold them as A grabbed an ankle and started tkling him. ngl I spent most of the time trying to keep my hold (he has over a foot of height on both of us but also definitely was not fighting back in earnest) but I did get a few squeezes in 😇. it only lasted like 2-3 minutes but once we stopped he had the giddiest smile after. he was significantly in a better mood after that, and for the rest of the night every time he seemed to be too in his head A would threaten that we'd wreck him again (it was honestly more flustering for me than it was him LOL)

OKAY SO that was pretty much it for a few days but the other day I had the tables turned on me (i did a whole lot of finding out with minimal fucking around). honestly it was a super similar situation to start - we were at E's house and I had a horrible day and i spent the whole day trying not to cry and eventually it all came tumbling out. after a really wholesome crying sesh and genuinely being comforted by my friends I was feeling way better. I was sitting on the floor, back resting on the couch, in between E and A. E then turns to A and is like "I think Bug could really use a smile right now" and without warning starts fluttering his fingers all around my neck, causing me to scrunch up and start frantically grasping for his hands. A then joins in and starts doing them same for like a full minute as I'm desperately giggling and half-heartedly reaching for them. they then move to my sides and belly (which was very illegal might I add) for like at least another minute. by the end I was so flustered and half delirious from tkles I couldn't even solidly grab their hands so I just hugged myself trying to cover spots as they moved to new ones. once they stopped I was so giggly for like the next 5 minutes it was so unfair. but I felt so loved and it was so gentle like no hard wrecking it was just light giggly tkles which was so nice after such a heavy day.

I think the tk bug bit our friend group after that because we literally ended up all piling into one big heap under blankets and literally every member of the group (cause there were more than just E, A, and me) got tkled at some point 🙈

it also ended up with E and A both learning about me liking to be tkled and both individually threatening to note that information for later (one of which has already used it to their advantage several times since then🫠)

anywho - that's all I got for now. but fr idk how I got so lucky to have a friend group that is so openly tkly. like I probably get tkled at least every other day which is great at setting a perpetual Lee mood lol. I'll share more soon:)

1) The Last book I read:

Idk if it counts since it's a graphic novel but the last thing I read was Bolchoi Arena, by Boulet and Aseyn. It's a sort of Ready Player One universe (less dystopic i think though). I really like it, but I'm waiting for the fourth volume to come out and there isn't a release date yet 😭

(I don't think there's an English translation (yet) so i can only recommend it if you speak french, sorry)

2) A book I recommend:

Iron Widow, by Xiran Jay Zhao. LOVED IT! I'm bad at recommending stuff but: big monsters, pacific rim style machines to fight the monsters, polyamory, ruthless woman, plot twists... So cool!

Also Loveless, by Alice Oseman, because it's about aromanticism and asexuality which is almost non-existent in... any media really, and that book is very dear to me.

3) A book that I couldn’t put down:

All the ones I really like x) I struggle a lot with putting down a book once I'm into it. The first advice to fall asleep easier is always 'don't use your phone before bed, read a book instead!' but if I do that I won't even try to sleep, I'll just keep reading all night...

But I guess the one that I was the most surprised about not being able to put down is The Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follet. I'm not particularly into historical books, and that's a huge book around the building of a cathedral, so I was a bit skeptical, but damn, it was great! It's over 1000 pages and I still managed to read it in less than a week while on a school trip.

So many of my childhood books. I almost spent more time re-reading my favorite stuff than reading new books lol. I think the ones I've re-read the most are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and La Quête d'Ewilan.

5) A book on my TBR:

So many. Soooo many. I keep buying books even though I don't read them, help.

I'll go with the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers because I really want to read them, people keep recommending them, I have them (in a really cool edition), I can literally see them in my bookshelf right now, and yet I don't read them for some reason 🤷

6) A book I’ve put down:

Also a lot. If I manage to put a book down I can forget it exists in a couple of days, even if i loved it, and weeks later I'm like "oh shit, I never finished that book".

One of the few that I put down more or less on purpose is Silo, by Hugh Howey. I'm pretty sure I would like it if I kept reading but something happens only a few chapters in that put me off and kind of annoyed me so I never read the rest.

7) A book on my wish list:

Revenge of the Sith! And many other star wars books. The reason why I still don't have it is that I want it in english so I have to order it online from the UK probably, and between the shipping and the taxes from being from outside the EU (sometimes there are taxes, sometimes not, i don't understand how it works)(one time I had to pay taxes on my own clothes that I sent myself from the UK to France 😭😭 I'm still mad about it) it'll end up being way more expensive than it should, so I'm putting it off x) I looked for it when I was in scotland but they didn't have it :(

8) A favorite book from childhood:

The ones I mentioned in 4) were my all time fav, I can't think of any other right now even though I used to read a lot more books than i do now 🤔

9) A book you would give to a friend:

Honestly I would be so scared they didn't like it that I probably would never give a book to anyone unless they asked for it 😬 (except my family I guess)

Mayyybe a Dan Brown, like The Da Vinci Code? I feel like that would be a pretty safe bet, unless they hate the genre.

10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own:

I don't think I have any? I had to read Alcools, by Apollinaire for the baccalauréat (french high school graduation exam) but I think it was my mom's copy and i honestly hated it. According to my teacher it was "cubist poetry" which, what? I was not smart enough to understand any of it, and it wasn't doing it for me.

(Literary analysis is my nemesis, I'm usually pretty smart but when I try to analyse a text it's just *no thoughts, head empty*)

I'm really picky about poetry so I don't really know where to start to read any.

11) A nonfiction book you own:

I don't have many: a few anthologies of queer stories, How to Invent Everything by Ryan North (literally what the title says lmao), Eject! Eject! by John Nichol (about the history of ejection seats, super interesting!), Les Guerres de Lucas by Renaud Roche and Laurent Hopman (a french graphic novel about George Lucas), and Tu mourras moins bête by Marion Montaigne (scientific stuff explained, but make it hilarious, also french comics)

12) What are you currently reading:

Ithaca, by Claire North, but I've barely started.

13) What are you planning on reading next?

No idea! Maybe Iron Flame, maybe The Priory of the Orange Tree, maybe Floating Hotel, maybe finally the Wayfarers series, maybe a random other book, who knows 🤷

Origin of your blog title: I really like clovers, and any wildflower really. One of my book collections that I add to on a whim is just field identification books of wildflowers. So it didn't need to be alsike clover specifically, I just think they look neat! :D

OTPs: Howl/Sophie, Katniss/Peeta, Miri Larendaughter/Peder Doterson, etc... (I don't have that many idk)

Favorite game: Ooh, hmmm I don't know! I like riddles, like Green Glass Door (mostly in giving that riddle to small children) or lateral thinking puzzles. Other than that maybe Bananagrams?

Favorite color: Deep navy blue! Though forest green is a close second :)

What song is currently stuck inside your head? Irish Eyes by Rose Betts! I love that it's got so many family members speaking to the singer about lovely traits that she has. I think it is a kind and slightly silly song.

Weirdest habit: I gesture almost constantly in comfortable conversation. I am basically mirroring what I communicate with my words in the way I move my hands and torso. (I learned this by analyzing a video of myself for class work, I would not have realized how constantly I gesture otherwise)

Hobbies: So many! I oscillate between them in phases. The main categories are art (sketching and painting in watercolor and gouache!), fiber arts (sewing, crochet, embroidery, knitting, weaving, etc.), and creative writing! And learning languages, but that only sort of counts.

What’s your profession? linguist

Dream job? Teaching in some capacity, I think. But if I'm shooting for the moon, I want to get involved in language revitalization in low-resource language communities. That would probably involve studying the language in depth and developing language curricula for children and adults, working in collaboration with the community members. It would be hard, but it's a cause that is important to me and I would love to teach in that capacity.

Something you’re good at: singing harmonies, giving people very specific compliments, and approaching difficult situations joyfully.

Something you’re bad at: remembering to eat food :( I get too excited about literally anything else in my life. I have a system for remembering, don't worry! It just takes more work for me.

Something you love: My friends, and the beauty I see in their souls. There is something utterly breathtaking about the virtues I see in my friends, like little reflections of God's image.

Something you could talk about for hours off the cuff: Languages, folk tales and mythology in various parts of the world, and fiber arts history!

Something you hate: when people try to trick you into contradicting yourself so that they can say your worldview is false (and their worldview is the right one, of course). Just agree to disagree if we can't be on the same page, it's mean-spirited to try to "win" in that conversation.

Something you forget: I forget that the color orange exists sometimes.

Something you collect: language dictionaries! And as mentioned before, wildflower field identification guides.

Love language: quality time and acts of service/words of affirmation tied in second place :)

Favorite movie: Howl's Moving Castle is one of the most watched for me!

Favorite food: traditional Japanese cooking! Specifically not pop culture foods like ramen. More like stews and potato stir fries and bitter melon sauteed with pork. Farm food! Veggies!

Favorite animal: Sea otters! So cute, and smart, and the favorite rock thing gets me.

What were you like as a child? Very introverted, read almost constantly. Also, somewhat tomboyish in style but very quiet and yet loved meeting every single new kid in any function where I was a regular attender.

Favorite subject at school: English! I got to nerd out about grammar. Makes sense that my career is going the way that it is.

Least favorite subject: Plane Geometry. proofs still feel so overly convoluted to me.

Best character trait? I am not sure what would stand out to others, but I tend to be very joyful and resilient in hardship through that joy. The bad parts of life are not the end of all things, and I carry hope that it will be better.

Worst character trait: I can be overly rigid in my application of rules, and therefore judgmental of others who do not follow the same internal compass. I need to learn the wisdom of having my integrity while still lovingly bearing with others. It's a hard balance.

If you could change any detail of your life right now, what would it be? That I could figure out my blood pressure issues and subsequently my migraine problem :(

If you could travel in time, who would you meet? I'm not sure! Maybe J.R.R. Tolkien, if only to chat about philology (precursor to modern linguistics!) and Beowulf with him. I would love to hear him talk about Old English!
