Ok this might be a stretch but I was thinking about how Sofia’s become more “kook” in s4. Ik it’s probably because of costume or hair stylist changes but lemme overanalyse for a sec!!

Ok we see Sofia start off s3 with her cute little bangs and red cover up. This changes drastically in s4.

Her hair is curled and styled, her clothes are more revealing. It is like she’s trying to fit in more with the kook crowd that Rafe hangs out with. She’s trying to live up to the expectation of being “Rafe Cameron’s girlfriend”. She can’t change where she’s from, but she can change how she presents herself.

A more interesting question is, are all these altercations prompted by Rafe or was it self-inflicted? Imo Rafe isn’t the type of guy to be picky about what she wears or how she looks. He thinks she’s pretty and hot just as she is. He probably doesn’t even notice all these changes in her.

But to Sofia it’s more deeper than that. She’s not like everyone else there, and it’s a fact she’s painfully aware of. I don’t think she’s ashamed of being a pogue, I think it’s more of a self-preservation thing. If she blends in then she’s scrutinised less.

wicked (2024) x4 obsessed with this. I just think it’s fun and pretty! I get so swept up in it that it feels short despite the runtime. I think my favorite bit is how much cynthia erivo is not doing an idina impression for even a second. I’m not complaining about how influenced ariana is by chenoweth but her performance is like clearly influenced, so cynthia not running that path stands out to me
