Knock knock knock

You slammed your fist on Momo's door, you didn't even needed to knock, you could rest your head on the door right there. You were so tired, you didn't have the strength to move anymore, not even the mentality to think and every sigh you took only exhausted your lungs, you're so done today.

And the darkness around didn't help, the sky that was and always will be a "night with stars" only influenced you more and more to rest now.

The door opened only for your eyes to hurt from the yellow light from inside the robot house. And there, was a silhouette you could always recognize

"Well well wellI, you finally decided to show up, i was starting to get worried you know?"

"Yeah"

You walked inside Momo's house, every move was a scream asking for any kind of comfort to ease your stress, anything, you would accept anything now. So, seeing that the sofa was occupied with Momo's boxes, you moved straight to Momo's bed, you didn't take off your coat or shoes, nothing, you just threw your body that looked more like a corpse onto the fabric. Your face was not visible now that it's directly over the comfort, you blocked the sides of your head with your arms, preventing any ray of light to annoy you.

Well you know Momo is no idiot, he clearly noticed these details in your behavior, normally when you come back you smile and hug him, but today, only that? Did he do something you didn't like? Is he not being enough? Did someone hurt you?

"Hey" A voice echoed through the small room, it was Momo's. "You fine?"

You groaned in response, Christ, you didn't even have the energy to speak. You slightly turned your head until you could poke an eye out of your arms and see Momo standing in front of you, he was curling his fingers over his other fingers, it was a gesture he usually made, it was usually when he was nervous...

You wanted help, you wanted comfort from your boyfriend, to feel his metallic skin on your flesh skin, and listen to his advice as he pats you on the back. But at the same time, what if he doesn't understand? You are afraid, afraid of facing another disappointment with a person, afraid of interaction.

"I..." Words couldn't come out of your mouth, what were supposed to be words, just sounded like grunts.

"Shh." He placed his hand on your exhausted back, drawing circles that comforted your shoulders "You know what, I can see in your face how exhausted and tired you are, and you look ugly when exhausted, i hate to see you ugly. If you want, you don't have to talk about it, okay?" Momo said in a calm tone while looking into your eyes. As you stared with dead fish, dismayed and lifeless eyed, you slowly turned your face into your arms.

"I do not deserve you." You confessed, your humiliating tone hit Momo

"I should be saying this, Y/N." It was the last thing Momo said before you heard his footsteps slowly going away.

You gain enough silence to think about the whole situation, and silence enough to appreciate it. You didn't have any kind of misunderstanding with Momo, none of him getting stressed, or him being an asshole to you, there's no reason for you to be anxious around him. Momo actually understands you, and understands when you want to be alone, and understand when you're going to need him, was he really the best thing that happened to you since you came here?

All these thoughts made you tired... That's when you noticed for a brief second how your shoes were already bothering you, then, looking like an adult just out of a 10-hour shift, you took off your shoes with your own toes, it was even an easy and simple action.

It was a matter of minutes before you noticed a sign of life coming from Momo. You immediately noticed a pleasant food smell, and seconds later, a sound of a cymbal hitting wood, your attention is easily caught. You lifted your head, and on Momo's desk, you saw a warm plate duo the baked potatoes inside it.

"But you said–"

"Doc had some extra potatoes in his greenery and gave it to me." And again, Momo stroked your back gently. "Now do me a quick favor and get up, I want to do something." You, already being more than happy today for all your boyfriend's help, thought that you could do this minimum to reciprocate. You removed your arms that were around your head and lifted your body, placing your feet on the floor and getting up from the bed, waiting for Momo to do some kind of action after that

Momo climbed onto the bed and leaned his back against the wall as he sat up. He spread his legs, and looked at you, patting the empty space between his legs. You quickly understood the gesture, and got your knees up on the bed and crawled up to Momo until you could sit between his legs, and use Momo's entire torso as a backrest. The robot put one arm around your waist, and used the free hand to pick up the plate full of food and give it to you. Now he could put both arms around her waist

Your cheeks turned slightly pink, and you couldn't hold back your sweet smile. With all that, you easily felt safe, especially since Momo was slightly taller than you, and, well, obviously more resistant. You were amazed how such cold skin from a robot made your face so warm and your stomach full of butterflies. Woah, wait, so all this time you've never gotten along with anyone because they're human? And maybe you do better with robots? Damn bro.

You took one of the baked potatoes and put it in your mouth, it was perfect, for a robot that had spent years without human interaction, Momo cooked very well. The potato warmed every corner of the cold interior of your mouth, it was satisfactory. Without hesitation, you started biting the rest of the potatoes on the plate.

While you were eating, Momo clasped his arms around your waist. "Everything is fine now?" The machine questioned

"Yes." You hummed "Thank you so much Momo, seriously..."

"I'm always here when you're stressed, 'kay?" Momo gently placed his screen over your shoulder "Chu..." He simulated a kiss

when he gets comfortable around you, niko starts to talk a lot more.

but other than that, you guys just enjoy each other's touch in silence. it’s one of his favorite things to do with you.

niko would try to plan your guys first kiss out because he wants everything to be perfect.

i have been thinking a little bit. and to me. if i saw someone who isnt hispanic make a colombian character id go bananas because omg lol Thats Me. however the moment they make them a big flirt or have them sleep around a lot i am clicking off of their profile because HOLY SHIT the stereotype is played to death.

however. say you are a non-hispanic person who has a flirty oc who may or may not sleep around a lot. this has been their biggest trait for a long time and you don't want to have to completely rewrite them or rid them of their personality. that's fine. i think the problem with characters like this is a lot of the time them being flirty is their Only Big Personality trait. they can have other personality traits but usually they dont feel as fleshed out or played as hard as being flirty. they feel like a one dimensional character born from a stereotype.

here is my ramble about how to fix this while keeping the flirty trait bc its just Stuck. its fine. also yes i am colombian but my word isnt like Gods Blessing and it certainly doesnt speak for every latino person in the world ESPECIALLY ppl who were born and raised in latin america. so feel free to state ur thoughts and add on or retcon points i made here. sure. i wanna learn too cuz in the end i still suffer from gringo disease . 😔

how do you fix this! sure, you can retcon that trait and rewrite them, or you can change them to be non latino, but ill be really sad about it especially if theyre colombian. well. look at their other traits. list them out like so. if it looks like this (with bolded being biggest traits), it isnt looking too good. doesnt automatically label you A Horrible Awful Racist Who Will Never Improve but it isnt a great character

see. its kinda flat and boring. this is basic character creation, but it steps over into iffy territory once its producing cardboard stereotypes. instead, try exploring other aspects of their personality. give them more big traits you can latch onto and play off of, more "gimmicks" i guess. give them something they love passionate, and something they hate with a passion. if you want, even delve into why theyre so flirty and why they sleep around. maybe its an unhealthy coping mechanism. maybe they think its fun. maybe they do it for work. sex isnt a dirty thing. maybe they flirt a lot bc it makes them feel better about themselves, maybe they flirt bc they get crushes easily, maybe its their way of being nice. whatevs! here is a trait list for a latino oc that would not instantly be a red flag of "uh oh stereotype" to me if written by a non latino person:

really loves horror movies, a bit of an adrenaline seeker

cat lover, used 2 volunteer at shelters

flirty, tends to be very good with words and persuading people

values their friends (and rivals) a lot, forms bonds with anyone who's been w them for a long time and will defend them w passion

can get really defensive over the things they care about and [specific insecurity]

really, really fucking hates toads and will go on an hour rant about why

in this one flirty is still a big character trait, but theres other big ones that feel just as developed with thought placed behind them, so it kinda balances it out.

also, kind of unrelated BUT if you want to add more cultural traits to them but dont know much about the culture, go for it. make them have a comfort food their parents used to make a lot when they were sick like a kind of sancoho or changua or an arepa with some coffee and cheese. maybe they love or hate cumbia bc their mom played it all the time when she did chores. maybe they can only speak shitty spanish bc they never got taught. maybe they never had a quinceañera because the thought of dancing in front of everyone embarrassed them and regret it when theyre older so they have a big one with their friends to make up for it. idc. go crazy. if you're scared or uncertain just ask your latino friends or hit it to the google. not every latino experience is the same. a person from mexico is not going to have the same childhood as someone from colombia. but chances are, if your friends are latino and want to see more characters like them, they're down to help the best they can. hell, even go watch a movie set in the country or whatever and read the reviews from actual latino people to see what they liked that they got right and what they got really wrong.

also if u need help and u dont have any latino friends u can ask me. i was a colombian raised by a completely colombian family but unfortunately i was raised to be as american as possible to fit in so i wont know Everything and still have a lot of learning to do myself. i would kill to see a character in media who has the same identity crisis i do of being colombian raised in america. lemme help u do it.     You had tried being nice, you really had. The first years when you were plunged into the wizarding world you had smiled and nodded taking abuse and ridicule from most of those at your school. It wasnt always direct, sometimes it was just the hatred and the whispers that you could feel from across the hall, you were disrespected, treated like you were less of a human than the rest. So you stopped being nice, in the third year instead of smiling you snarled, you stopped nodding when people told you you weren’t worth anything. You were done being spit on because of your last name. 

    Third-year was not a good one for you. Your last name was in all the papers, headlining the daily prophet. It was whispered in halls and spoken quietly between teachers. Sirius Black had escaped and now everyone was scared he was going to find you. People stopped talking to you. One of the girls locked you out of your dormitory, fearful your father would come looking for you. That was how you officially met Draco Malfoy. 

    You wandered the halls, not sure where you were even going. As you rounded a corner you locked eyes with the blonde boy who had his hands stuffed in the pockets of his robes. You figured he wouldn’t say anything as you passed but you were wrong. 

    “Why are you out of bed?” Draco sneered narrowing his eyes.

    “None of your business Malfoy.” You spat back shouldering past him and to your surprise he chuckled. 

    “It’s nice that you dropped the act you know.” You could feel his eyes on you as you paused. 

    You spun around, “What act?” 

    “The one you put on last year. It was a bit annoying, the whole nice girl thing.” He shrugged, “It’s good to see your true colors finally shining through.” 

    “Go fuck yourself.” you scoffed walking back down the hall.

    He only smirked and watched you leave.

    Draco was interesting. He was a dick, you knew that his dad was a rich asshole and he wasn’t any different. But much to your surprise he or anyone else from his possie for that matter ever messed with you. At first, you thought they feared your father, or even you but you began to suspect something else. Draco, Goyle, Crabbe, Parkinson, they had nothing to pick on you for. Their parents were killers too, it would be like a pot calling a kettle black. If you weren’t wearing red robes you may have even been friends with them, maybe. But something told you you could never look at Pansy without wanting to knock her teeth in. 

    Draco nodded to you in halls, occasionally smiled at you in classes and when moved next to you for being too loud in Transfiguration he was relatively pleasant, despite a few unpleasant comment here and there. He still irked you, he was whiny and weak, he hadn’t had to work a day in his life and you figured he never would, but the truth was he was your first actual friend. 

    Everything changed when suddenly Harry Potter, someone you had been desperately trying to avoid, pulled you aside and tell you what you thought was an elaborate prank. He then brought you to your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who had told you it was all true.

    You were stunned, your father wasn’t a killer, he hadn’t betrayed his friends he hadn’t murdered anyone. He would be free, you would be free too. Free from glares and ridicule. All of that came crashing down when they explained that Peter Pettigrew, your only proof had gotten away. 

    You had been angry for a while. Everything you had been told your entire life, by your peers, your teachers, your mother, it was all a lie. And now only you and four others knew that. It was almost like some sort of cruel trick.  You got over it by the next year. You realized that while everyone still thought you were a killer’s daughter, you knew you weren’t and that was enough. 

    The Golden Trio befriended you. At first, it seemed forced, like they were acting, mocking friendship. But the awkwardness melted away and you found yourself with friends, ones you could laugh and talk with. It was nice, really nice. You were finally happy. 

On your fourteenth birthday you got a card from an owl you didn’t recognize. When you read the small note you almost cried. It was from your father. He told you he was sorry. He was sorry he wasn’t there for you, that he couldn’t properly meet you. He said he loved you and always would. 

Draco hated it. He hated when out of nowhere you were suddenly best friends with Harry Potter. It was sickening. Why did Harry Potter get everything he wanted? None of it was fair, you were supposed to be his. He was livid, he had made progress with you, you looked at him in the halls you had snorted at some of his jokes and now you were practically attached to his arch-enemy. So Draco did the natural thing. He hated you. He pushed you down and called you names. He belittled you and your father, he called you weak, stupid, pathetic. You snapped back. You always did, you weren’t like the others. 

You spat nasty nicknames back at him, you pulled him down with you. And that was the most interaction with you Draco ever got. He spent his fourth year in a swarm of jealousy and anger only making things a thousand times worse for himself. 

You didn’t think of Draco much, you missed his snarky comments and the banter you had with him but not a lot. His sudden torment of you made it easy to forget that he had once been nice. You got used to hating him, he made it so easy.

When you finally met your father it was strange, like someone had pointed at a stranger and told you that that person loves you more than anything else in the world and you were supposed to love them the same. You knew he was still your dad it was just all so weird. It seemed like he knew Harry far better than he knew you. It didn’t take you long to actually begin to care for the man. He was easy to talk to, despite the awkwardness of the entire situation there was never an uncomfortable silence. You were calling him Sirius for a while, maybe it was because you just didn’t want to call him dad or maybe it was because you were afraid too. Either way just as you were leaving to go back to school you called him it by mistake, he had engulfed you in a hug, and that was the first time in a long time you had cried. 

    Draco seemed off the entire year. He didn’t put nearly as much time into bullying as he usually did. He bounced around a lot, looking almost paranoid as if he knew something was coming that you didn’t. He joined Umbridges group of assholes and broke Harry’s nose but he didn’t even look at you, you were invisible to him. 

    But you weren’t invisible. Draco wasn’t sure what it was but when he lay his eyes on you in fifth year he had been completely enamored. He had liked you before, as much as he tried to deny that he had. But now it was like someone had turned a knob and he couldn’t even look at you without feeling an intolerable need. A need for you. So he did what he could, he ignored you completely, he would force his eyes away from you at meals, he threw himself into classes forgetting about the outside world. He didn’t speak to you until a few days before he was supposed to go home. 

   

    You couldn’t breathe. You felt like you were getting punched in the gut over and over again. You had just gotten him back. After 14 years you had finally hugged him and loved him. And now he was dead. 

    You were going to kill him, part of you really wanted to, it was what he deserved, what he would get. You found him late at night, your eyes were hot with tears as you approached him, your wand clutched so tightly in your had your knuckles were beginning to go white. 

    “Malfoy!” You shouted, there was no one around to hear. 

    He turned and to your surprise his own grey eyes were glassy, his face was streaked with tears, their trials shining silver in the delicate moonlight. He looked so incredibly broken at that moment your wand dropped back to your side. 

“I heard about your dad.” He croaked, “My dad did it right?” 

You stood silent tears dripping off your chin, your eyes narrowed, mouth curled in hurt. 

“I’m sorry y/n. I’m so sorry.” He spoke taking a few steps towards you. 

You raised your wand back up, it sat inches from his neck. You shook with sobs, your throat was closing up around nothing, your blood rushed in your ears. 

Draco didn’t flinch, he just stared down at you, you looked so pretty with tears in your eyes, they glinted like stars. Your cheeks were flushed a fragile shade of pink, they almost matched your lips. 

“I hate you.” You whispered and for a second you thought you were going to do it. But then the second passed and you dropped your arm back to your side spinning on your heel and walking back to your common room. 

Draco watched you leave, his own tears thick and sticky on his cheeks, those three words hurt more than any spell you could have cast. 

    You went back to scowling the following year. You were short with people, you glared more often than you laughed. Draco knew you were watching him, he knew you didn’t trust him, you knew he was up to something. 

    But the way you looked at him was off. It wasn’t the way Harry, Ron and Hermione did, it wasn’t full of the hatred you claimed to have. It was observant, keen, and almost soft. It was strange that Draco couldn’t quite place it. 

    “I don’t hate you.” You said suddenly to him one day on your way down to the greenhouse. It was hot out, the sound of birds and laughter around you. “I hate your father, but I don’t hate you.” 

    Draco just stared at you, your hair was glowing in the sunlight, your lips glistened with lip balm, you peered up at him expecting him to say something. 

    “I just thought you should know.” You finished before continuing down the slope. Draco stood frozen for a moment.

    “Wait!” 

    You stopped turning back to the boy as he took quickened steps towards you. “What?” you asked when he reached you.

    “I’m sorry y/n, about everything.” He said, “I really am.” 

    You paused biting your bottom lip, “I know.” you smiled softly.

   

    You nodded to Draco in the hallways again. You sat next to each other in Herbology and you talked quietly in the dead of night. Draco felt his affection towards you grow with each smile and look his way. You knew what was pierced into his skin but you never mentioned it, instead, you talked about meaningless things like quidditch games ad muggle music. Draco became your escape from the real world. He reminded you of when things were easy if they ever were. 

   

    It was late May. The crickets and frogs at the edge of the black lake were loud in your ears. You and Draco lay side by side in the dewy grass, your robes dampening as you stared up at the stars. It had been your idea, star gazing, you did it for the astronomy tower often but it was different out on the grass, it was better. 

    You felt Dracos hand twitch beside yours, his thumb brushing the top of your palm. Without thinking much you reached out and grabbed it, eyes still glued on the sky. 

    Draco felt his face heat at the feeling of your hand in his own, your skin was soft, it felt good to have your fingers intertwined with his own. He turned his head to look at you. The stars reflected in your eyes, your hair splayed around you as moonlight carved your face with delicate slopes and ridges. You were so incredibly gorgeous. 

    You felt his stare turning to meet his eyes. You stayed still for a second a soft wind rippling the grass around you. Your heartbeat droned in your ears, its beat slowly increasing as you stared into deep pools of icy grey. 

    Draco broke the silence his grip on your hand tightening, “I’m in love with you y/n.” 

    You didn’t move, you didn’t even look surprised, your eyes continued to flick around his face as if you were looking for something. You moved closer to him, your heartbeat so loud the sound of crickets drowned out behind it. You were inches form him when you finally spoke, your eyes trained on his, staring deep into his thoughts. “I know.” your voice was a whisper, breath fanning over his face. 

    Draco leaned forward, waiting for you to stop him but you didn’t. Your eyes slipped closed and you met slowly. Your lips were smooth and soft against Draco’s slightly chapped ones, your hands found their way to his hair as his wrapped around your neck pulling you close to him. The kiss was sweet and slow, he tasted minty and warm. Your tongue swiped his bottom lip and they parted allowing you to deepen the kiss as he tugged lightly on your hair. 

    You broke apart slowly, breath mingling as you stared into his eyes, “I need you Draco.” you mumbled pulling yourself into his embrace.

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. - travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

Summary: Gigi and Crystal discuss things in person. Elites Only also gains a new member.

As soon as Crystal realized what was happening, she exited the Twitter app. The girl she had been talking to for months, the girl she had shared so many things with was Georgina Goode, who happened to be best friends with the girl who hated Crystal for no reason, because of course this would happen to Crystal.  

Crystal’s mind was racing, her brain instantly jumping to the worse case scenarios. Did Gigi know she was talking to Crystal this entire time? Was this entire thing just a ploy orchestrated by Dahlia to get dirt on her? Georgina was not gay, but Gigi was. Did Gigi even like her, or was Crystal just an experiment that no one would ever find out about because it was over the internet? She knew none of these theories made sense, she didn’t think Gigi had any idea who she was until now.

Gigi was freaking out. She had messaged Crystal, attempting to explain herself, but she had gotten no reply. Crystal hadn’t even read them. Panicking, she messaged Jan, hoping she would be online.

The next morning arrived faster than Crystal wanted it to. She was dreading going to school, knowing she couldn’t avoid Gigi forever. Thankfully, they did not have any classes together, but crossing paths was inevitable. The thought of seeing Gigi, even from across a crowded hallway, made her want to sob.

Her stomach started hurting because of her anxiety, but convincing her mother to let her stay home didn’t go over well. Crystal had convinced her mother at first, but as soon as she felt Crystal’s forehead to see if Crystal was running a temperature, which she wasn’t, she had insisted that Crystal stop pretending and get ready for school. She even drove Crystal to school instead of having her walk to make sure Crystal didn’t skip.

Crystal walked straight to the bathroom in the art wing. It was smaller, with only two stalls and the cell service was terrible; but it was vacant for the most part. She often stayed there when she wanted to skip class, and the only person she had ever encountered was Aiden, a shy girl from her art class. If Gigi was looking for her, this bathroom would be the last place she would look.

She had spent the morning sketching and listening to One Direction. She was in the zone, barely noticing when the door opened. Crystal didn’t bother looking up when she felt someone’s presence there, assuming that it was Aiden. “Hey, Aiden.”

“Uh,” Gigi started, “Crystal?”

Crystal’s head shot up, her eyes wide as she looked at a very relieved looking Gigi. “Oh, shit. Hey.” 

Gigi walks over to her, kneeling down to be at the same height as Crystal. “I know you’re probably upset with me, but can we talk? Please? I’ve been looking for you all period.”

Crystal nodded, moving her backpack to make a spot for Gigi to sit down. “Sorry I said what the fuck and dipped, I really didn’t know what else to do.”

“I’m the one who should be sorry. I’m going to sound like such a bitch but I didn’t even know your name until last night.” Gigi had never been good with names, only being able to remember her online friends’ names in the beginning because their name was attached to everything they did. Crystal had been known to Gigi as ‘Art Girl’ until last night.

Crystal had to laugh at that. “It’s fine. I don’t think Dahlia knows what my name is either, and I’ve lived in her mind rent free for years!”

“Speaking of her, I’m so sorry I only stopped her once. I didn’t want to get into it but I realize now that ignoring it is just as bad as joining in. Especially seeing the effects it has on you first hand, and now that I know I could’ve helped.”

Last night, Crystal gave Gigi a run down on every single color she had ever dyed her hair, and she had mentioned that she stopped dying her hair once she got into high school because she didn’t want to stick out even more, in fear of getting treated worse. It had made Gigi sad then, and knowing she could’ve changed that made her feel even worse. 

“Yeah, I don’t know how this is going to impact your real life, but no matter what I just hope you will step in next time.” 

Gigi reached over to grab Crystal’s hand and squeezed it gently. “I will never let her hurt you ever again. I care about you so much.”

They sat in silence for a few moments.

“Can I tell you something?” Crystal asked quietly, avoiding Gigi’s glance. 

“Of course. You can tell me anything.”

“I really like you. I know it’s probably weird now, since you’re not out and I’m not positive you feel the same, but I feel like I should tell you.”

Gigi smiled, placing her fingers under Crystal’s chin, lifting them up to make Crystal make eye contact with her. “I’ve been hoping you would say that.”

Crystal blushed at the contact. “Really?”

“Of course! You’re the most interesting person I’ve ever met. I would be such a fool not to like you back.”

The bell rang, interrupting their moment. Gigi pulled away, pulling her phone out of her jacket pocket to check the time. “Fuck. I have a test this period.”

“It’s okay. We can talk about this later,” Crystal reassured her, standing up even though she had no intention to go to her next class, “I can send you my address and we could meet after school?”

Gigi nodded, pulling Crystal into a tight hug. “This is the most emotion I’ve ever shown at once. I thought it was going to be scary but I feel so much better. Thank you for talking to me. If I was you I don’t think I would’ve.”

Crystal decided she would stay in the bathroom until lunch. It was mostly out of laziness, as her Gigi related anxiety was long gone. Doing academics was the last thing she felt like doing now. 

She had plenty of entertainment, she had missed a lot on Twitter, and had two thousand new messages from the group chat, even though she was gone for less than a day.

She was relieved they didn’t question her further, but she couldn’t help but be curious about what their reactions would be if they knew what was going on. Talking to the girls again made time go by extremely fast, before Crystal knew it the bell rang, declaring it lunch time.

She hadn’t eaten breakfast due to her anxiety from this morning, and just realized how hungry she was. Collecting her stuff, she exited the bathroom and headed down to the cafeteria. 

When she was in line to pay for a slice of pizza and a bag of pretzels, she had caught the attention of Dahlia, who didn’t hesitate to express how she felt about her new hair. 

“Ew, who in their right mind would dye their hair green?” Dahlia loudly asked Gigi, making sure Crystal was in ear shot. 

Before Crystal could defend herself, Gigi spoke up. “Dahlia, can you please shut the fuck up? No one cares what you think about Crystal’s hair, it looks fine. I can hardly tolerate you being rude anymore.”

“Georgina, what the fuck? I’m not rude!” Dahlia whined, making Crystal smile. She had been slightly surprised that it happened so soon, but she was happy Gigi stepped in.

Crystal paid and made sure to wave at the girls on her way out. Gigi waved back, and Dahlia looked the other way, her arms crossed.

The rest of the day was painfully long. Every minute felt like an hour, Crystal was even bored during her art class. She couldn’t wait to go home and talk to Gigi.

Crystal would like to think that Gigi was about to kiss her before they got interrupted, or maybe she was going to ask Crystal to be her girlfriend. Anything could happen, and Crystal couldn’t really tell how she felt about it.

When she got home, she tidied up her room. Her bed was unmade, her dirty clothes were on the floor, and a couple dirty cups littered the top of her night stand. It wasn’t too bad, Crystal would usually consider this clean for her, but it made her feel slightly embarrassed now. She had the urge to fix it, even though Gigi probably wouldn’t have cared too much if Crystal left it the way it was.

After her room was clean, she still had some time to spare before Gigi would be on her way. She headed to the group chat, curious to see what chaos they were up to currently.
