so this is more or less me searching for comfort but how is henry handling your period cramps/sickness? is he running baths, is he giving massages, what’s he up to! i feel like with all that he knows he’s probably got some life-altering remedies up his sleeve

thank you lots for your kindness and your sweet request! there is comfort to be found even in the depths of the most morally flawed characters, trust me. henry is no exception to that! we can mold him any way we prefer for our benefit ;)

he wouldn't need to be told when you're on your period, he'd simply know. the slight changes in your disposition and the emphasized tardiness would tell him all he'd need to know. sure, you could give him a confirmation, but he would always generally have a pretty good idea, especially from a temporal point of view — i am struck by the feeling that he would have an intricately good sense of time.

as for his support, it would definitely be expressed very matter-of-factly (yet sweetly in its own way). he would drop something randomly nerdy on you along the lines of, "the ancient greek believed a heated castor oil compress was marvelous at easing any kind of pain, specifically inflammations, although it does increase blood flow if i do recall correctly." out of nowhere, his overly factual proposition would humor you greatly. "and you have something as specific as castor oil at your disposal right now?" you'd retort, meaning it more as a joke than anything else. he, however, would remain unperturbed as he'd respond, "why, yes. i could arrange for a compress right now if you wanted me to, in fact." and yes, you'd be willing to try — only for it to be a little strange texture-wise, but his small words of reassurance and the fact it was something he proposed and did for you would be worth it.

when it comes to baths, he would be very nonchalant about doing all of that for you as well. the minute you would get home, he'd obviously greet you and ask about your well-being, but then mysteriously disappear into the bathroom for some time while you'd undress and start recovering from a day out and about while on your period. a few minutes later, seated in an armchair immersed in a book or something, he'd fleetingly mention, "by the way, i've drawn you a hot bath." and you'd just go, wow; that's sudden. of course you'd indulge, however. he might even consider joining you upon a request ;)

the best remedy for period pain, however, is... you know. an orgasm. or multiple. he would be aware of that, too — both from experience and his profound knowledge. because he would like to help, i think he would propose that, too — it wouldn't manifest in the form of actual penetrative intercourse, however. i think he would simply lay you down on the bed upon a towel and start out by caressing your lower stomach, then proceeding to gently tease your clit until you've come for him a few times and feel a little better. he would be turned to you closely and treat you very gently, maybe even trying to get your mind off the pain by lowly talking to you, "class was all right today, i assume? you weren't too bothered by the pain?" answering him in complete sentences would certainly pose a challenge, as he would be circling the most sensitive part of your body at the same time, but he'd accept any broken or breathy answers nevertheless. afterward, he'd wash his hands, wrap you up in a blanket, and light a cigarette — just to sit down at the desk in the bedroom in order to revisit his studies whilst telling you to get some sleep.

henry certainly wouldn't excel at being the most caring partner, but he would try, and it would be enough.

RP PET PEEVES?: people not respecting other people's characters ooc, people not willing to share the spotlight in threads where both their muses get to be the centre of attention for a while, the lack of willingness to plot.

EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS?: i've been roleplaying for the better part of fifteen years now across various platforms.

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT?: angst! it's my favourite thing to write because it opens so many doors and i am such a sucker for tossing characters into crazy situations and watching them connect/learn/grow from it. it often lends the most to bonds/character development and that's what i adore out of roleplaying and what i want for my muse. plus it gives me the chance to write some of the wildest, off the rails shit sometimes and really push the limits of my imagination. not that i don't appreciate fluff, but as a treat that the characters earn after all the bs. or something quick to break up the pain.

PLOTS OR MEMES?: plots, hands down. like i can wing shit, sure, but after a while when there's no communication, i tend to get burnt out without the direction and there's that awkward stalemate sometimes between the two muns without communication because both are afraid to leap into something; i know i worry sometimes about driving a thread somewhere the other may not want it to go or overstepping boundaries. but i'm also always down for turning a meme into a plot! and the plot doesn't have to be figured out down to the smallest detail; just a general idea, a vibe, a direction will do and we can take it from there.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES?: me, glancing nervously at my blog/carrd: long? no, i'm a long reply kind of person. multi-para to novella, that's most often what you'll find from me. i can really only do shorter than that if it's a quick crack thing.

TIME TO WRITE?: when i shouldn't be, like at work hahaha. no, i write whenever the inspiration hits. sometimes i'm on mobile in a car somewhere or waiting for something or i'm just sitting in my bed like i wanna write. there's no real set time of day for me.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: mmmm sort of? i've for sure got that awkward social thing down pat but i've also got as wild a fashion sense as doc. i wear whatever i want regardless of how it looks in public, whether the colours match, and idgaf. as a kid, my mum used to always tell me i looked stupid and i didn't match and i needed to change to which i told her oh well. we're also similar in the loneliness/solitude aspects. not that i don't enjoy company, but i do like being left alone to do my own thing a lot of the time and i'm also very independent. we're also both in the same boat from a romantic standpoint. (pre-clara for doc anyway).

Literacy and Writing Style

I write semi-literate to advanced literate depending on the day and how much you give me to work with.

Third person, no asterisks (*), and use quotation marks (") when character talks.

When talking ooc, use //,\\,(), etc... to differentiate it from our rp.

No shortforms like bc, ofc, rn, wyd, etc... please write the full words. I wont be on your a$$ about grammar though. As long as i can read it idc.

Preferences

I'm most comfortable with bxg and sometimes gxg.

If bxg, i prefer the female role.

In terms of genre preferences, i have no genre preferences. But i am a sucker for fantasy and historics...

When deciding a plot, i'd rather have a vague/general idea and then brainstorm the details together.

I really enjoy a good slow burn romance.

Im too chatty for my own good, istg i never shut up. God must have forgotten to add the "stfu and sit down" button to me. So i like talking ooc, a LOT! :) introverts, you have been warned.

Expectations

I put a lot of effort into my oc's. Arguably too much, as i fixate over unimportant details for hours. I blame my ADHD hyper fixation. Anywho, i expect you to put the same amount of love and effort into your characters as i do.

I'm fine with originally drawn, cartoon/anime, or real faceclaims. But if it is not an original character, i'd like to know the faceclaims name. If its an originally drawn character, it has to be decent. That may sound picky, but i cant take it seriously if its poorly done art... not to sound pretentious.

For cartoon faceclaims, it has to be semi-realistic/realistic.

Our oc's gotta have the same kind of faceclaim. Example: if my oc's faceclaim is anime and yours is real, thats just weird for me. Our ocs would both have to be either anime or real.

Response lengths expected to be 100 words to 300 words. 100 is like, you can't think of anything. 300 is standard. You can go over this wordcount, by all means! Get them creative juices flowing!!!

If youre gonna be gone for an extended period of time plz dont allow me to think youve become amish or faked your death to start fresh in France or something. Gimmie a heads up.

Plz be comfortable to discuss your boundaries and things you'd like to try out in our roleplays!

If you aint feeling it no more, tell me. I promise i wont show up at your doorstep with a bouquet of roses, snot crying "PLEASE!! TAKE ME BACK!!! I CANT LIVE WITHOUT YOUUUU!!!". Im currently a full time uni student, so yaknow, busy bee.

Im aware we both have lives that dont revolve around our little co-operative imaginary world of imaginary people doing imaginary things.

My free time during weekdays can be inconsistent, but expect me to be significantly less active.

Weekends are iffy, but that's when you'll hear the most from me.

Boundaries

In other words, seggs. smut makes me kinda...uncomfy. If it does come up in our roleplay, i dont care as long as we can just skip passed it and insinuate it happened.

I wont do anything where our characters abuse or torture eachother.

For the sake of realism, conflict, and plot development, im open to controversial and dark topics being present in our roleplay. We can discuss this further privately.
