I think holidays in general are celebrated only bcs some ppl (mainly raze with the help of breach and anyone else ropped in by her personality) just INSIST in making mini celebrations to keep up the morale (and bcs theyre fun). But Raze will also find out holidays others celebrate and try to organize events to that as well. The most chaotic culture exchange possible, where everything is kinda messy and accuracy is kind of there but what matters is just having a good time. And ppl are invited to join if they want to.

Oooh.. mmm. I think it'd mostly manifest in Killjoy avoiding the hell out of reyna as she'll throw nasty glares whenever she's in her field of view. I dont think Reyna would really like... act on her hatred specially given killjoy seems very young still. Doesnt mean she doesnt act a little petty or mean abt it, better keep KJ on her toes.

ahh its hard to think in general... I do think brim probably likes playing old (at least for valorant times) music in even older music players and he feels all cool and hip about it UAHSDUHAS but also embarrassed abt it in public. We also have Omen's knitting I suppose but thats basically canon.

UASDHDAS ooh gosh thats one I need to put some thought abt.... I am not an avid snack knower even though I DO have a specific time of the day allotted to my snack.... Just off the top of my head I can picture some agents more being more timely like chamber or skye or harbor who will basically eat the same thing at the right times (for chamber is mostly coffee paired with something while for skye its those healthier stuff from protein bars to fruits), while other agents are constantly munching on pastries or baked goods or whatever else like raze or gekko. Then the I Just Need My Coffee When The Need Hits gang like Viper or Kj or Fade. And last but not least the having snacks instead of meals (from reasons ranging from just bcs to forgetting to actually make a meal) which might fit Cypher and jett and others I need to think more abt.

People's digital portrait displays, and he changes the images in it just enough you wont notice it straight away, and keeps making minor changes until the original picture is unrecognizable. (Just because)

For some reason I feel like Omen is a bit picky with textures. For foods, for clothes, just in general. IDK why I just do, like, he barely gets to experience sensations at all, and then hes forced to experience it bad??? absolutely not. Cypher, as much as hes good at adapting probably gets a bit annoyed when his methods are messed with by ppl meaning to help but idk if that counts as being nitpicky.

OOOH thats a good one. They have cleaning bots (or they had maxbot....) so I assume the general cleaning is automated. I would assume each agent is responsible for the upkeep of their own living quarters though the bots are always there for access for that. Now the other types of upkeep.... hmm... I wonder how automated it is.... Maybe there is such a thing as a rotating chores thing that ppl can trade.... Much to think abt...

I would assume theres team training to practice tactics and to develop a well flowing combat dynamic in the field. Specially seeing they are against their doubles, I feel Brim would make them train against eachother's skills a lot to understand them better . And maybe some there are group trainings that arent exactly mandatory but do good to build morale and share some knowledge (sooort of like the impromptu training session in the warm up cinematic). Like, I can see some agents just scheduling some "join if you'd like" training for some specific stuff like hand to hand combat or using flashes properly. But agents are also allowed to just honed their skills alone or in private and are not discouraged from doing so.

He's the weird uncle she never had and never knew she needed (but would never say so outloud). Like, he's the one that comes over and teaches her bad things and then is like "oh but you cant do that though". I loved the dynamic you had in ur latest fic with killjoy actually having a lot to offer in the field of engineering so i think its something definitely mutually beneficial. Cypher has the wisdom and maturity for Killjoy's naïve ingenuity. Like... I think Cypher cant help it but let his parent instinct to its thing around kj, while kj is probably at least very curious abt what Cypher has to offer. Idk, its a fun little dynamic.

I think yes but hear me out... Killjoy sucks at romance. Like, clueless and awkward and very teen like. So when she catches on to whats going on I love to imagine her trying to sneakily give Cypher advice but its the most corny and silly things ever like "you should call Omen over to listen to a playlist" and other stuff of that caliber. But at least she is sweet and wholesome about it.

oh hadestown au i was lucky enough to see it recently and have been thinking abt one ever since. since tubbo is my blorbo: ctubbo eurydice (not bc he has the ambition but bc i think he would agree to go to hadestown on very little as he doesnt value himself very highly) and cranboo orpheus (a little spacy greatly in love w ctubbo at least in season 2/3 which is vaguely where i put all my aus) and then my friend @pinkisbadatvideogames suggested ponk persephone and sam hades for the whole prison thing which i think is genius. everyone else is kind of a toss up though idk who hermes would be bc he has such panache that no one in dsmp really matches. maybe eret bc they r a historian and that kind of lines up? idk. anyway this is just me rambling abt hadestown id love to hear more about your au

!!!! omfg seeing hadestown in person would be SO cool i've seen a bootleg and i cried like a little baby it was so good. ctubbo as eurydice is so inch resting..........i feel like they're both characters where like a definite angle you can take is like Burnout. with Life. everything is happening all the time so i've just stopped trying. obviously for eurydice this manifested as erm.......well snake but ctubbo too i think in some ways. OOF the outcome is sadder than cbeeduo divorce /hj. i’m really curious how c!ranboo would fit into an orpheus role too tbh like that is very intriguing to me

C!SAM AND C!PONK AS HADES AND PERSEPHONE IS SO FUCKING GENIUS OMFG. especially considering like 1. the whole idea of losing yourself to the job/role you play with hades and 2. how persephone is ultimately unhappy with the state of their relationship but is still stuck coming back to hadestown. idk. im not as versed on my c!awesamponk lore as i should be but it reminds me of some of c!ponk's statements about c!sam, how they're not gonna raise a hand against him necessarily but she will gladly wait for the karma he's built himself to bite him in the ass

admittedly i don't really have a hermes in mine either LMFAO. c!eret is a really good shout tho esp with their connections to things like withers herobrine etc etc very death-like. for mine i have likeee..........c!wilbur as eurydice and c!niki as orpheus first of all. this is a little unhinged but basically take like faith in life and make it = faith in country/community and boom it fits there. c!wilbur loses his faith in community after a big loss in the revolutionary effort and his inability to protect the people in his tiny tiny nation.........when c!niki realises that he left them on purpose and is exposed to the cruelty of hadestown her own resolve starts to falter. also she hits c!schlatt with a guitar. this is important. for the hades/persephone shenanigan i have just kind of put c!dteam in that role bc truly c!schlatt makes the most sense as a villain opposing c!niki or c!wilbur BUT i can’t see him being moved for even a SECOND by anything c!niki has to say (i.e. epic iii). i really can’t. and it works with the whole friendship/community angle so shrug. c!schlatt is sort of a stand in for the fates bc there’s less godly stuff happening in my au ironically. anyway this is my piecemeal au the syndicate are also there for reasons but yk they’re just vibing

//Actually, I have never really thought about this before. The implication, as it isn’t explicitly stated, is that Yi’s sword boots are something his parents made. The are canonical smiths, so it would make sense that a craft of theirs would be used to honor them. The swords are something Yi keeps on his person at least, and they fit in sheathes that adorn the place he buried his only noted family.

  I like to think that similar design beats carry similar explanations across AUs. For instance, any AU where Yi has the goggles is an AU where Doran exists and knew Yi. So any AU with a sword boot motif can also be an AU where he is compelled to carry them in memory of his parents. So lets do a silly, long-winded post about it, shall we? Let’s look at all the in game skins, their sword boot status, and suss out any headcanon commentary about them oh boy no more skins riot.

Assassin — Does indeed have sword boots, though they are of a different design. Assassin is an alternate history of base canon, where Yi makes a life for himself as a contract killer in Noxian territory. There aren’t many divergences from base canon pre war... except that his parents just made a different style of sword perhaps? Probably not, but I’m laughing about this for whatever reason. He might carry these blades instead of the real deal, as he can’t really go back home to retrieve them right now.

Chosen — Does not have boot lightsabers. Very sad. This could be a product of his home planet literally being blown up, or some other planetary catastrophe that meant he could never go back and get a craft of his parents. I’ve always thought of Chosen as a beat for beat canon remake, just in space, but I suppose I’ve not revisited this AU since Yi’s newest base lore. Him not being able to gravekeep could have some interesting implications. But anyway, does that mean his parents were making the lightsabers of this verse?

Ionia — Does not have any sword boots, which makes sense at least in headcanon. It is war regalia, or ceremonial attire. Not even an AU. If Yi was wearing this in base canon he still might strap the swords to himself, but if Ionia issued anything like this during wartime then he wouldn’t have had them yet. I have always loved the idea that Ionia is so magical, that pink being the standard color of army attire could have actually been camouflage.

Samurai — I like Samurai because he doesn’t actually have sword boots, in part because he’s not wearing boots. He keeps the two swords on his belt, which is a nice compromise that looks cool. Samurai is another alternate history of base canon, set a century or more in the future. He could literally be paying homage to his younger self, and may not even have his parents original crafts anymore. Hence why the two swords are in theme with his Samurai design. He’s taken up different sword forms by this point.

Headhunter — Apparently I have false memories of Headhunter having sword boots, because he doesn’t. Headhunter is a weird verse to me now. Used to be Alt History, now it is like.... they are part of a race of hunter aliens? Which, I mean, that’s the theme they were riffing off anyway but... I’m not gonna get into it here. His parents would have also been a part of this hunting species I suppose? Maybe too busy hunting to make swords? Maybe they made the bladed toes on his boot? Maybe they were armor or gunsmiths? I’ll have to think about it.

PROJECT — No sword boots, just cool shoes. This makes sense, as Yi would have lost everything he owned to the experimentation. Maybe Pyke knows where all his stuff is, ahahaha. Yi doesn’t knows he is human, or that he would have parents in this verse yet. I wonder how those memories will go down when they come back? I’d love to build this verse to a point where Yi knew he was human in some way, but I’ll just have to drabble about it when I can.

Cosmic — No sword boots, just some circles that orbit his shoes?? Makes sense. Cosmic probably has no parents. He is his own parent. Though, I will say that any AU featuring Yi in a faction where he has not experienced a Wuju cleansing... doesn’t bode well. The Dark Star is lurking. Light could be the last thing to exist in a universe filled with black holes? He’s not that important but still watch out.

Eternal — No swords, and no boots. Just nice shoes. Figures, since Yi is at a point in his life where his School may not have been destroyed yet. He left it, and so did Fiora, so this Wuju equivalent might have more hope than in base canon. He’ll probably find some swords to strap to his boots when he returns. Was the Sword of Jade worth it, my poor sweet child? RIP Yi’s parents in the potential future of Immortal Journey. They are probably ten times cooler in this verse at least, given that swords have great powers. This isn’t even mentioning the amount of swords he just has in general.

Snow Man — No carrots on his fluffy boots! Man, imagine snow people in their snow smithy, shaving carrots into weaponry. Who is Yi’s parent? The Poro King? Like I said, having Yi in your faction does not bode well for the Poro King vs Ice King Twitch. Since he made Yi, then he should prepare to be dead from some calamity his creation could have prevented. And then prepare for snow boy to tend all the snow graves oh nooooooo.

Blood Moon — Man, a lot of skins ditched the sword boots, didn’t they? IDK what’s going on with BM. Maybe I’ll flesh it out more some day. Yi probably had parents, they were still probably blacksmiths, and Wuju was probably destroyed. No time for honoring your parents by carrying their blades around. Time to kill. Demons are your new parents now. Or if Wuju was not destroyed, then you know how it goes.

PsyOps — Once again I have false memories. PsyOps ain’t got no sword boots. Instead, I like to think they replaced them with the dog tags he has. It’s probably not to do with his parents, but it is a similar feel. He’s still honoring the people he’s lost. He has a set of three around his neck, and a set of two on his sword, the latter he looks at longingly in his animations. At least one person has died that he cares about, maybe more depending on the ID system. RIP whoever Ezreal replaced, probably.

The moral of this post is that I have a lot of false memories about who has sword boots, and funnily enough its all the Alt History verses that have them. Makes sense in the end, I suppose.
