Well this was definitely unexpected and rather... strange, if he had to put a word to it. It wasn't the first time he'd been hugged of course. Though it was still not something he was used to or had a desire to continue. He could have just pushed the girl off of him, but opted for letting out a sigh instead.

"Is there something I can help you with? --Or are you looking to perish, young one?" He wasn't entirely serious about that threat of sorts. But if it got her to move away, so be it. "I am very certain I have done nothing to earn this sort of response. In fact, I am sure I have done everything to earn an entirely different one. So why are you hugging me?"

Eivor would did not mind joining March on adventures - to be honest, they have grown quite fond of her quirkiness.

"Y-Yeah -" she replied with a nod of her head. Silent relief that she hadn't offended Eivor.

"I hope that we both find the answers we're looking for. I feel like mine are somewhere.... really far away but - I'll reach them someday!"

"... haha. please excuse my lack of clarity." there's a chance that suggesting a few stellar sights around the xuanzhou luofu would've made for a less hazardous ploy. this is the smile of a girl who'd not be stopped by the shackles of conventions. "i'm afraid i'm a bit tied down for the moment ... and the person i had in mind is bound to be more suited for the task anyhow. not to mention, it'll be good for him to see a world beyond swords for a change."
