A/N: I'm sad so be sad with me.

You remembered the first day that Jongin had told you he loved you.

It was a Saturday and the two of you had been laying in bed, the sun shining through your open window, the smell of rain from the night before still lingering. You both had been laughing at some stupid joke that he told. It wasn’t even funny but the way he chuckled after he told it, made you laugh harder than anything.

Your hair was a mess, your makeup was smudged and you were sure you had horrible morning breath but somehow to him, you were the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

As you continued to giggle and make fun of his awful dad jokes, Jongin laid there, his eyes roaming your face. The smile never left his plump lips as he watched your mouth move, your eyes squint as you talked and your hand movements as you exaggerated things.

He had never felt as much happiness at once than he did in this moment. It was the time he realized he loved you, with everything he had.

You had realized it long ago, how much you loved him but didn’t want to tell him, in case the feelings weren’t reciprocated.

You had turned onto your stomach, your hand resting on his chest and your chin resting on your hand.

“Your jokes are awful" you chuckle, again. Jongin just smiled at you. “In case you didn’t know"

“I love you” he whispers, his face now serious but his eyes full of love.

“What?” you ask, making sure you heard him correctly.

“I love you" he says again, sitting up which makes you sit up again as well.

“I love you too" you whisper, looking him in the eyes.

That was 1 year ago, exactly that he told you he loved you.

And now you laid in your bed alone, your heart broken into a million pieces.

He told you he didn’t love you. He wasn’t supposed to love you.

You were wearing the same shirt you were wearing that morning. You were excited as you heard your doorbell ring, rushing towards the door.

The grin dropped from your face as you noticed Jongin’s disheveled appearance. His face tired and his eyes red. He refused to look you in the eyes as he told you he was leaving you.

He refused to give into your crying and pleas for him to just talk to you. You wanted to fix it, whatever it was but he wouldn’t let you.

“I don’t fucking love you" he snaps. “Get it through your head".

As he walked away from your broken form, the tears welled in his eyes.

He did love you.

But he wasn’t supposed too.
