As you can see, there is quite a significant amount of players that can take advantage of the new FIFA 23 Lengthy AcceleRATE type, with even more being available outside of this curated list too. The players we’ve listed above are just what we think are the best Lengthy players to use, taking into account value and availability in some cases too.
Find out who the FIFA 23 cheapest 86 rated players are in our handy list.
FIFA 23: What Qualifies As Lengthy?
For a player to fall under the Lengthy category, they must abide by the following rules:
Agility equal to or greater than 65
Strength – Agility is equal to or greater than 14
Acceleration equal to or greater than 55
Height is equal to or greater than 174cm
A player that passes all of the above requirements will naturally fall under the FIFA 23 AcceleRATE category of Lengthy, which lets players build up to a fast spring after a short period of slowness. However, as long as the height requirements are met, you can play around with some players’ stats to turn them into a Lengthy player.
Architect is the most common chemistry style to use for this, as it gives the biggest stat boost to Strength at 15, but you can also use Sniper, Marksman, Hawk, Sentinel, Backbone, and Anchor, all to varying degrees of success.
One thing to be very careful of is making sure that you don’t remove the Lengthy status from a player who has it as default. Using chemistry styles that boost agility have the potential to do this, as the player might just be on the fringes of the requirements.
If you’re ever wanting to double check whether a chemistry style will add or remove the Lengthy type, just double check their stats against the requirements above, paying special attention to the Strength – Agility calculation.
So, that’s all you need to know if you’re looking for the best FIFA 23 Lengthy players, giving you an idea of what constitutes the Lengthy type too. If, on the other hand, you’re looking for some transfer market hidden gems, then make sure to not miss our FIFA 23 best cheap players list.

Koeman weighs in on Messi vs Ronaldo debate
The iconic rivals are the two best players of the past 10-15 years, according to the Barcelona boss. The Dutchman has refused to be dragged into the neverending debate ahead of Barca’s Champions League clash with Juventus. “It’s fantastic that these two players have been so long at this top level in the world,” Ronald Koeman told the pre-Juventus press conference of Lionel Messi and Cristiano…

New Post has been published on https://freenews.today/2020/11/24/fernandes-scores-stunning-goal-in-manchester-united-victory-but-denies-himself-chance-of-a-hat-trick/
Fernandes scores stunning goal in Manchester United victory but denies himself chance of a hat trick
The Portugal international scored two goals in a devastating first-half display that included a sublime strike for his opener.
The 26-year-old sent a perfect half-volley flying into the net after just nine minutes and followed it up with a simple finish to double his tally within 20 minutes.
However, the night could have been even better for Fernandes, who was handed a golden opportunity to complete his hat trick after the referee awarded the Turkish hosts a penalty.
United’s usual penalty-taker, who scored a spot-kick Saturday, looked set to take the penalty but opted to pass the ball to Marcus Rashford instead.
The England international dually obliged to put his side up 3-0 and went straight to Fernandes to celebrate.
“After the last Premier League game, I told (Rashford) he could take the next penalty, so I remembered that,” Fernandes told BT Sport after the match.
“Also, he is one of the top scorers in the Champions League. It’s important for him to keep going there and take that confidence. It doesn’t matter who takes. When the team scores, I score, too.”

Fernandes on fire
Fernandes has had a huge impact on Manchester United since joining at the start of the year, but few moments have been as impressive as the first goal.
He caught the shot perfectly after the ball was cleared from a corner and drilled it past keeper Mert Gunok from just outside of the area.
“It was a really good goal. I always say we need to be ready outside of the box to these kind of situations or sometimes to stop the counter,” he added.
“This time was to shoot — maybe next time I will have to foul and take a yellow card.”
His second was a little more fortunate after Gunok spilled a cross at the feet of the midfielder, who had the simple job of tapping it in.
Fernandes has now been involved in 34 goals in his 35 appearances — 21 goals and 13 assists — since moving to Old Trafford, according to the sports analytics firm Opta.
His influence was underlined after being taken off in the second half when the match was won.
United, which was so impressive going forward with Fernandes on the pitch, looked short of ideas in the second period as Basaksehir was allowed back into the game.
Second-half substitute Daniel James finally put the match to bed in stoppage time after Deniz Turuc scored a free kick to give the visitors a sense of hope.
United needs just one point for its next two group games to qualify for the knockout stages and faces last year’s beaten finalists Paris Saint-Germain next.
Busy night of action
Elsewhere, Juventus qualified for the last-16 of the Champions League after late drama in its game against Ferencvaros.
The visitors had taken a surprise lead in the first half through Myrto Uzuni, who cheekily used Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic celebration.
Such a stunt backfired shortly afterward as Ronaldo equaled the scores with a long-range effort.
The hosts dominated the second period and finally found the winner as Alvaro Morata scored a stoppage-time header.
Meanwhile, Barcelona secured safe passage into the knockout stages after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv.
A brace from Martin Braithwaite was bookended by goals from US star Sergino Dest and Antoine Griezmann.
Barcelona was without star man Lionel Messi after manager Ronald Koeman decided to rest a number of first-team regulars.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers - Ageless Cristiano Ronaldo shows no signs of slowing down
Whatever the excesses of the Euro 2020, a competition that will count 24 teams this summer, after 55 of them have crossed not one but two different tournaments to eliminate 31, the last two qualifying rounds can hardly to be accused of fatigue.
No less than 168 goals, average 3.36 per game, were scored between Thursday and Tuesday. Fans are excited to get their Portugal Euro Cup Tickets to see live performances of their favorite team and players.
Certainly, part of the flood has taken place through the channels that the European football governors have tried to steer over the years. But remain an essential part of the international football landscape.
Times are tough for all Baltic States. In Lithuania, only Cristiano Ronaldo scored four times in one night, bringing to five the total number of weeks worked with Portugal and an impressive 93 goals out of 160 for his country.
It does not seem fanciful to imagine the ageless icon reaching its centenary in the finals, when Ronaldo will be, at the very least, the 35-year-old skipper of a Portugal that will defend his title.
Since June, the Portuguese have also been the holders of the Uefa League of Nations, a competition intended in part to establish a secondary route to the Euro by allowing the success of its various divisions to fight their way straight to matches, do in the first two of their Orthodox qualifying groups.
It's a complicated structure, but some countries, after this week's activity, feel grateful for this invention, breathing a sigh of relief that they created last year the backstop of the League of Nations roadblocks.
Scotland, after successive defeats at home against Russia and 4-0 against Belgium, is among the most comforted. The Scots, who had an envious look at Euro 2016, where the 24 British teams - Ireland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales semi-finalists - ranked fifth in Group I, are now ranked 5th of the 6 teams in Group I, supported only by San Marino.
The Netherlands, the most notable absentees of the last Euros, not the last World Cup either, may still need their elimination card for the release from prison. The Dutch were finalists in the League of Nations, marking their rebirth under the leadership of Ronald Koeman.
They also provided some of the most captivating entertainment of the week, coming from a 4-2 scored goal in Germany. But they remain third in Group C, three points behind Germany and Northern Ireland, but with one game less.
The Dutch still have two games to play against the Northern Irish and, after losing 3-2 to Germany in their home game, they are better to face to face than their traditional rivals.
But the Netherlands, who beat Estonia 4-0 on Monday, have suffered too much in recent nights to take too much for granted.
"Our routines are becoming clearer and the team is developing nicely," said Koeman, demanding a win against Northern Ireland in the upcoming match in Rotterdam. "Then we will be close to the next stage."
Italy also rebounded, with six wins out of six in its group. Their victories in Armenia and Finland have resulted in controversial arbitration decisions - there is no VAR in the Euro 2020 qualifiers - taking advantage of them and a cushion at the top of Group J which means that an extra win could consolidate their place in the final.

Amid doubts over his future at Barcelona, speculation continues to link Lionel Messi with a move to Inter as one of the more realistic options if he does decide to leave.
The 33-year-old enjoyed another stellar season individually last year, but the Catalan giants surrendered their La Liga title crown, came up short in the Copa del Rey and suffered a brutal exit from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern.
SEE MORE: Ronald Koeman sets sights on first Barcelona signing as top target touted
Quique Setien was subsequently sacked as Ronald Koeman was appointed as his successor this week, and much has been said about Messi’s future at Barcelona as a result as he enters the latter stages of his career.
It’s unclear at this stage if he will choose to move on and start a new challenge or not, but it has been suggested how much it could cost Inter to pull off what would be a hugely ambitious swoop.
As noted by Calciomercato, via the paper edition of La Repubblica, Inter would have to splash out close to €500m over three years if they were to sign Messi as that would seemingly include a transfer fee, his wages and all the additional costs that come with having him at the club over a three-year contract.
That is a whopping fee to have to fund, but with the backing of owners Suning and perhaps with how Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo as a blueprint, speculation refuses to go away about Inter’s possible interest in Messi and how he could make the switch to Italy if he decides his time at Barcelona is over.
His father recently bought a property in Milan and particularly after the change in tax law in the country earlier this year which offers more benefits to Messi financially, if that is a key factor in his decision-making moving forward, there could be something in it if Inter believe they can put together a package which will satisfy all demands.
Paris Saint-Germain and Man City have also been touted as possible destinations for the Argentine icon as they perhaps have the financial backing to be realistic options too, but they will also have to consider if they can afford the mammoth fee said to be involved in a potential deal.

Best Fifa Football Awards: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Virgil van Dijk?
Five-time winners of the Ballon d’Or Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo sit alongside Virgil van Dijk at the Champions League draw
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Virgil van Dijk make up the shortlist for the Best Men’s Player award at the Best Fifa Football Awards on Monday – but who should win it?
Just how do you distinguish between three great players, each with a list of accolades as long as your arm?
We’ve asked Spanish football writer Andy West, Italian football expert Mina Rzouki and BBC Sport’s chief football writer Phil McNulty to make their case for each of the candidates.
So who do you agree with? Take our vote here and select your winner. Highlights of the Fifa Football Awards are on BBC One at 23:05 BST on Monday.
Lionel Messi either scored or assisted 55% of Barcelona’s 90 La Liga goals in 2018-19
Lionel Messi
Nationality: Argentinian Club: Barcelona Age: 32 The case for: Won La Liga and helped his side reach the Champions League semi-final and Copa del Rey final. Claimed European Golden Shoe as continent’s top goalscorer and was La Liga’s top assist-maker. Helped Argentina to bronze at 2019 Copa America.
Spanish football writer Andy West:
Knowing that Lionel Messi is the best player in the world comes with just one condition: having eyes, and using them to watch football.
If you actually watch him – and you are being even vaguely objective – you will see that Messi is head and shoulders above everybody else. The skill gap is not even close.
Watch him, and you will see the goals. You will see the dribbles. The supernatural defence-splitting passes, the faultless first touch, the 360-degree spatial awareness, the uncanny ability to escape multiple markers, the unselfish game awareness. You will see all those things, and you will be forced to admit: yes, Messi is the best. By far.
If you don’t trust your eyes to reach that conclusion, maybe the stats will help. You probably already know that Messi scored more league goals than anyone else in Europe in 2018-19 (36, ahead of Kylian Mbappe’s 33). But Messi’s all-round magnificence is reflected in the fact that he was also among Europe’s top performers in assists (fifth), chances created in open play (third), dribbles completed (fourth), passes into the final third (second) and shots against the woodwork (first). He is a striker, playmaker and winger all rolled into one.
Those individual exploits led to silverware, too, with Messi inspiring Barcelona to a comfortably-earned league title, finishing 11 points ahead of Atletico Madrid.
He also excelled in the Champions League, easily topping the competition’s scoring charts (12). And before you throw Anfield in his face, note that Messi created more chances and had more shots on target than any other player in that dramatic second leg (including Liverpool players). It’s hardly his fault his team-mates forgot how to finish or defend.
Messi’s problem, and the only reason the ‘deserving’ winner of awards like this is even discussed, is that we take him for granted.
When we see – to cite a game a larger-than-normal number of UK-based fans will have witnessed – the incredible performance he produced at Wembley last October to destroy a helpless Tottenham defence, we shrug our shoulders and say: “Well, that’s Messi.” If another player reached that level just once, we would be in raptures. With Messi, it’s normal.
But the fact that he delivers displays of such mind-boggling brilliance 25 or 30 times a season should not just be brushed aside. We should appreciate him while we can, and revel in his unmatched splendour rather than reason that it’s somebody else’s turn to be acknowledged as the best. There is no other best. The best is Messi.
And if you’re still not convinced, take heed of an informed opinion from a man who played against him last season: “Messi is still the best player in the world and I think he deserves it [the award] as long as he is playing.”
Whose words were they? None other than Virgil van Dijk’s.
Even the other main contender for the award thinks Messi should win it.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored 21 league goals in his first season at Juventus
Cristiano Ronaldo
Nationality: Portuguese Club: Juventus Age: 34 The case for: Won Serie A and named the league’s most valuable player. Finished as club’s top goalscorer in all competitions and won Italian Super Cup. Helped Portugal win Uefa Nations League as top goalscorer in the Nations League finals.
Italian football expert Mina Rzouki:
Let’s be honest, Ronaldo didn’t outscore Lionel Messi nor did he help Juventus win the Champions League last season as Virgil van Dijk managed with Liverpool. Three players outscored the Portuguese Icon in Serie A and for the first time under Massimiliano Allegri’s tutelage, Juventus didn’t win the Coppa Italia.
So why should Ronaldo win the Fifa player of the year?
While his critics have plenty to point to when calculating why Ronaldo may not have lived up to the very high expectations the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has set for himself, it should also be noted just how much of a difference he made when playing for his country and new club.
Unlike Van Dijk and Messi, Ronaldo chose a new challenge, playing in a new league with new team-mates and a new system. Under the guidance of a pragmatic coach, Ronaldo was tasked with proving value – and he did just that. He was named as the most valuable player in the league, helping Juventus to not only win the Supercoppa but the Scudetto, too, by being the club’s top scorer and their inspiration moving forward.
How many would boast similar statistics when changing leagues and clubs?
It was Ronaldo who scored in the Supercoppa final against Milan to secure the win, Ronaldo who sealed the extraordinary comeback win against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and Ronaldo who rallied the troops to secure vital points against the likes of Napoli and Inter, Juve’s challengers for the title.
As for Portugal, manager Fernando Santos confessed to running out of adjectives when it came to describing the player, settling on simply and aptly labelling him as ‘a footballing genius’.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against Switzerland to secure Portugal’s presence in the inaugural Nations League’s final, while the country’s eventual win against the Netherlands was the player’s 30th title in football.
For both country and club, Ronaldo has made the difference, winning every final he played last season. He is the player his team-mates have looked to, not only to inspire them on the pitch but also to motivate them off it.
Virgil van Dijk helped Liverpool keep 20 clean sheets in the Premier League during 2018-19
Virgil van Dijk
Nationality: Dutch Club: Liverpool Age: 28 The case for: Won Uefa Champions League. Named the PFA Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Year. Helped the Netherlands to Uefa Nations League final.
BBC chief football writer Phil McNulty:
Virgil van Dijk’s best work may not be as eye-catching or spectacular as Lionel Messi’s or Cristiano Ronaldo’s – unless you have watched Liverpool on a regular basis for the last 12 months.
Van Dijk’s peerless defending, which makes him the best in the world in his position, stretches back to almost the moment he arrived at Liverpool from Southampton for £75m in January 2018.
He instantly transformed a previously vulnerable Liverpool defence to the extent they reached the Champions League Final at the end of that season, although even he was powerless to cure the flaws of hapless goalkeeper Loris Karius that played a major part in their 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev.
Throw his career forward and we now have a player being ranked alongside the greatest central defenders Liverpool have ever had – even the likes of Alan Hansen – and who is simply irreplaceable in manager Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
And we also have a player whose presence, calmness, leadership – and the occasional goal such as when he scored a crucial header in the Champions League last 16 second-leg win away to Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena last season – allowed Liverpool to make up for that bitter disappointment against Real Madrid by claiming European club football’s biggest trophy for the sixth time against Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid in June.
Van Dijk’s level consistency is such that when Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe got the better of him in an individual joust in Liverpool’s 3-1 win at Anfield on 24 August, it was the first time anyone had dribbled past him in a 50-match sequence stretching back to March 2018.
It is a truly remarkable statistic and testimony to just how good Van Dijk is and why I believe he will be a worthy recipient of the Best Fifa Award.
There was almost an air of incredulity when he made the first error of serious consequence anyone could recall with confidence when his loose backpass enabled Fernando Llorente to seal Napoli’s 2-0 win against Liverpool in their first Champions League group game.
Yes, Messi and Ronaldo have sustained incredible longevity and levels of greatness we may not witness again for a generation, but in the last 12 months the transformative effect of Van Dijk on Liverpool means no-one should complain if he is the winner.
Van Dijk is magnificent in the air, has the ability to overpower attackers with his physical presence, has a finely-honed sense of danger and his range of long and short passing gives Liverpool an extra dimension to their offensive game.
Quite simply he is the complete defender. He has played a large part in making Liverpool the team they are.
He is the central plank in a team that has won the Champions League, is playing a part in Ronald Koeman’s rival of the Netherlands national side, and is coveted by every club in the world.
Van Dijk, in my opinion, should win this prestigious award.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Ballon d’Or award & an inspiring career
The Portuguese football icon Ronaldo beat Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Altetico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann to claim the prize. Ronaldo won the Best FIFA men’s player 2016 award at the inaugural Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich, Switzerland on Jan 9, 2017. The career of Ronaldo has been a roller coaster ride. Take a look at some key moments of his career: At the age of 17-years, in 2002, Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Averio joined Primeira Liga team, scoring on his debut in a 3-0 victory over Moreirense FC. Continued to impress many on field, Ronaldo caught eyes of top European clubs but it was Manchester United who got him as their first-ever Portuguese player with at $20.5 million and gave Ronaldo United’s famous number 7 shirt. Ronaldo made his debut against Bolton Wanderers on August 17, 2003 and registered his first goal in English football on November 1, 2003- a free-kick in a 3-0 defeat of Portsmouth. At the debut season of his career, Ronaldo concluded 28 Premier League appearance as United finished disappointed at third place. The table turned in 2004 when United did claim the FA Cup with the Portuguese player heading the first goal in a 3-0 victory over Millwall on May 22, 2004. Within one year Ronaldo got his fame as Portugal was about to host the 2004 European Championship. The winger made his presence in every game of the host’s run to the final, ultimately losing in a shocking defeat by Greece in the final 1-0. Ronaldo’s first World Cup appearance prompted the star to move away from England after a tiff with his United teammate Wayne Rooney in the tense quarter-final between Portugal and England. Later Ronaldo quickly reconciled to prepare for a new season, re-discovering the form with win of the Premier League by six points from rivals Chelsea. The 2006-07 season recorded personal milestone for Ronaldo as he scored 23 times as well making 17 assists- equalling with Arsenal’s Cesc Fàbregas. It was the season 2006-07 when Ronaldo’s campaign with United was best when the club took the crown of Premier League and Ronaldo scored incredible 31 Premier League goals (42 overall) to earn him European Golden Shoe for top scorer. He remained with United for one more year ruling over speculation of his movement to Real Madrid. Ronaldo won the first Ballon d’Or in 2008 leaving Messi and Fernando Torres behind at the age of 23. In the wake of defeat on June 11, 2009 in Champions League final United accepted a then-world record $125 million bid from Real Madrid with Ronaldo being handed over to the club with no. 9 shirt. Real Madrid began their wonderful career with Ronald when they won their first Copa cup in 18-years with Ronaldo’s first silverware in Spain. Ronaldo became the first player to win two different leagues and his second European Golden Shoe award. In May 2012 Madrid topped the La Liga table and earned the crown with a record breaking 100 points. Also, Ronaldo broke the league-scoring record with his return of 46 goals and named winner of the Trofeo Alfredo Di Stefano for the La Liga player of the season. In 2012 European Championship the winger lead the Portuguese team to the semi-finals however a loss of 4-2 on penalties against Iberian rival Spain broke the dream. The following season was roller-coaster ride for Ronaldo as despite his impressive return of 34 goals in 34 league games Real Madrid lost the La Liga championship to rivals Barcelona. The following month, Ronaldo was sent off in extra-time as Madrid was defeated by Atletico Madrid to complete a disappointing season for the club. Following year in 2013 Ronaldo won his second Ballon d’Or title where he scored 66 goals in 56 games for the club and country. On May 24, 2014 the trophy drought of Madrid ended with Ronaldo scoring 4-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the final of the Champions League. Ronaldo became the highest paid player in the world after signing a contract of $20 million in 2013 and also shared the European Golden Shoe with Luis Suarez. In 2014, Portugal was defeated by Brazil at the World Cup during group stage and Ronaldo couldn’t end the 2013-14 season with international success. Ronaldo won the UEFA Best Player in Europe award in August 2014 as he scored record breaking 23rd La Liga hat-trick and lifted the Club World Cup with Madrid- the second of his career. Ronaldo became the first Portuguese player to win the Ballon d’Or three times beating Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer. The same season 2014-15 saw him scoring 21 goals in 30 matches in La Liga and a record 17 goals in the UEFA Champions League. More to cheer as Ronaldo with Real Madrid won the Champions League. Also, Ronaldo scored three goals at the Euro 2016 as Portugal bagged the title. Click to Post
