My big fish of the day was an 11 1/4 inch long yellow perch! He ate a dropper fly above a perch colored jigging rapala about a half hour before the end of the tournament. We were on fish all day long, but I couldn’t seem to catch anything longer than about 7 1/2 inches until this one. My fishing buddy Mark and I entered the 11 Mile Sports Colorado Classic Pro-Am Ice Fishing Tournament. The Grand Slam January 7, 2017. We took 1st place in the Everyday Fisherman category for trout with 10.385 lbs.
