Man Utd-Galatasaray (10/3/2023) 2-3
What a game. Thought Galatasaray were playing into United's hands by pressing aggressively and leaving space for Rashford to run into, as seen in United's first goal. However, United can't press coherently and Gala's press worked. Watching the game, Utd dominated the stats but did not look threatening. Really impressed by the intensity of Gala, which paid off. Kudos to Icardi for running all match, he was not getting service but it paid off. The missed penalty was a twist, with Gala playing to loose ie with Holjund's disallowed goal being 1:1 in the box, but what a brave style. Not sure how if works against Bayern who has more talented wingers, but I'd rate Gala to give the rest of the group a run. Icardi's winner visually is hilarious, with the header getting past the defense across 30 yards.

Usinese - Inter SeriousTalk
So uhm. Okay I really don’t know what to say.
I mean the match was awful, once of the most boring matches I’ve watched this year. And I’ve watched all the RealMadrid matches so that’s saying something. While it’s true that we didn’t really took and risk in the defense we didn’t created any real chance to score either. I mean sure Naingolan tried way more shoots from too far away from the penalty box for my liking. I mean he’s not Stankovic or Casemiro. They can try to shoot from outside the box cause they actually score from those positions, and not once in a lifetime like Naingolan.
Lautaro is pathetic. He can’t control the ball to save a life. Every time he has to stop with his chest and control it he always always pushed it too far from his body and the adversary player steals it. And he failed at the least three chances to score. I mean I don’t see how half of the fans love him and think he’s a good alternive to Icardi. Cause spoiler alert he’s not. Like at all. He can maybe be a decent support, but right now he’s not even a decent support. And it’s not like Keita is much better. I don’t even know in which role he is supposed to play. Is it a winger? A striker? What?
And let’s not talk about Perisic. Cause really only thinking abut him depressed me. He’s been playing terribly ever since the beginning of the season and I really don’t get why he’s never replaced. Borja Valero is so slow that I’d be quicker. And guys the only way you’ll ever see me run is if I’m chased by dogs or criminals. So....
Normally I like Politano, but yesterday he was MIA. And when Candreva replaced him things only got worse.
I mean lots of people blame Spalletti for the way the team’s doing. But Jesus what more can he do with the players we have. (And anyway no one listens to me but they should make Ranocchia play as reinforcement for the striker. Like he’s tall and let’s just put him in the penalty box and way maybe he’ll manage a header who knows.)

Mauro Icardi scores for PSG in 1-1 draw against Lorient
Mauro Icardi scored for PSG in their 1-1 draw against Lorient.
Icardi saved PSG at the death with a late goal in injury time. It was 1-0 for Lorient and PSG were down to 10 men after Sergio Ramos was sent off. A cross inside the penalty area found Mauro Icardi as the Argentine would score with a header to draw PSG level.
That goal was his first in the league since September as he reaches four goals in the league this season. PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino went with an Argentina front three of Lionel Messi, Mauro Icardi and Angel Di Maria.

'Multi-goal' Wijnaldum wins - Despite failure to win the MOM award, "I will maintain my form now" 먹튀검증

Giorginio Wijnaldum talks about scoring multiple goals.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) played in the UEFA Champions League Group A Game 4 of the 2021-22 season held at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany at 5 am (Korea time) on the 4th. and a 2-2 draw. With this draw, PSG lost the lead to Manchester City (9 points) with 8 points (2 wins, 2 draws).
PSG, who had a 3-2 sweaty victory over Leipzig in the last match, allowed the first goal in the early hours. In the 8th minute, Christopher Nkunku conceded a goal and was led 0-1. A penalty kick (PK) was conceded in the 11th minute of the first half, but Gianluigi Donnarumma saved the crisis. PSG used Neymar and Kylian Mbappe lines to equalize.
Wejnaldum made the decision and PSG took the lead. In the 21st minute of the first half, Weinaldum focused on the attack development that led to Neymar and Mbappe, and equalized. In the 39th minute of the first half, Marquinoz sent a header to the center from a corner kick, but Wejnaldum changed the direction and scored a comeback goal. With the great performances of Wijnaldum, PSG completely got on the flow and seized the victory.
In the second half, PSG drove Leipzig with a fierce offensive. However, PSG did not take advantage of the opportunity and did not widen the gap. Leipzig strengthened the attack and tried to equalize, eventually making it 2-2 with a PK score by Dominique Soboslay in extra time in the second half. PSG drew a card from Mauro Icardi, but failed to score a theater goal, and the match ended 2-2.
It was a disappointing match for Wijnaldum. Wijnaldum showed the decisiveness that linked both shots to goals, and helped Danilo Ferreira and Idrasha Gaye with two key passes, one competitive victory, and one intercept, fully empowering PSG's midfield. It was his most impressive performance since joining PSG, but the team ended in a draw and the official best player was also given to Eun Kunku.
In a post-match interview, Wijnaldum commented on the game: "We created a lot of chances, but we didn't finish. We gave Leipzig a chance to counter-attack too easily." He continued, "I am training hard every day. I am also building good relationships with my colleagues. I will do my best to maintain my current form well."

Pochettino ‘optimistic’ for Mbappe as Neymar nets in crucial PSG victory
Tumblr media
Paris (AFP) – Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino is confident Kylian Mbappe will be fit to face Manchester City on Tuesday after the France striker was forced to watch from the stands as Neymar scored one goal and set up the other in a vital 2-1 win over Lens in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Neymar netted on 33 minutes and his corner was headed home by Marquinhos just prior to the hour mark at the Parc des Princes, with Cameroonian forward Ignatius Ganago pulling a goal back for Lens.
It was a huge three points for PSG in their attempt to retain the Ligue 1 title, as Pochettino’s side move provisionally two points clear of Lille at the top of the table.
However Lille can return to the summit by beating Nice at home later on Saturday, while third-placed Monaco will return to within a single point of PSG if they defeat Lyon on Sunday.
There will be just three rounds of matches remaining after this weekend.
Mbappe was reduced to the role of spectator because of a calf problem, while Angel Di Maria was also left out of the starting XI as Pochettino made six changes to his team from Wednesday’s 2-1 home defeat against City in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
“I am always optimistic and I still am,” Pochettino told broadcaster Canal Plus when asked if he expected Mbappe to play at the Etihad Stadium.
“We think he will be there but we will make a decision before the game.”
PSG are looking to win their eighth Ligue 1 title in nine years and, given how close the title race is in France this season, they could not afford to take it easy in between the two legs of their tie against City.
– Marquinhos scores again –
Lens had beaten the Parisians at home back in September and travelled to the capital on a run of 13 games unbeaten that saw them come into the weekend in fifth, just ahead of Marseille in the fight for France’s last European qualifying berth.
They gave the reigning champions a run for their money and the tension got to PSG sporting director Leonardo, who was caught on camera angrily remonstrating with the officials in the tunnel at the end of the game — his mask under his chin — apparently over what he felt was some rough treatment for Neymar.
The Brazilian had scored the opener, just his seventh Ligue 1 goal of the season, taking a touch and finishing after Argentine defender Facundo Medina tried to play the ball back towards his own goal under pressure.
Pablo Sarabia came close to adding to PSG’s lead before the break but they went 2-0 up on 59 minutes.
Marquinhos had scored with a header from a corner against City and he repeated the trick here, heading in Neymar’s delivery from the edge of the six-yard box.
Lens got one back straight from the restart as Arnaud Kalimuendo’s attempted overhead kick from a Jonathan Clauss cross turned into a perfect assist for Ganago to score.
However, Lens could not find an equaliser and PSG thought they had a late third goal when Mauro Icardi turned in substitute Marco Verratti’s low centre.
However, an offside flag against Verratti cut short the celebrations.
“We deserved the victory even if it wasn’t a brilliant performance,” admitted Pochettino, before turning his thoughts to City.
“Every game is different, and so is every competition. We needed the three points today to stay in contention to win the league, and on Tuesday we will need to score two goals to win against City.”
