“. . . What? Is there somethin’ on my face?” Spinel looked at the other confused, a bit self conscious as Steven was just kind of observing her. Perhaps he was just wondering about her form choice, or maybe the marks under her eyes. It may have been a strange choice to make, but Spinel definitely hadn’t had anyone question her about it until now it seems.

“Another me?” 

Now, Steven’s first thought when he saw the other him was to wonder if some weird time travel shenanigans were going on. He still remembered the admittedly horrific scene of all those other Stevens showing up when he and the Gems were trying to get the Glass of Time. This Steven didn’t seem to be looking for chaos, though. That was a good thing. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad.

“This is weird,” Steven admitted. “But also kinda cool? How did you get here, other me?” This would get confusing if they both started just calling each other Steven, he realized. But what could they call one another?

   “--oookay.” he took a deep breath, and sighed. “i’m pretty much insulting myself, here...” not even 'pretty much’. he was literally insulting himself. very literally.

   “y-you stink! yeah, you heard me, me! you look-- really weird!” not that looking weird was a problem. “y-you’re stupid, too!” he attempts to look tough for a moment longer before looking to the ground.

“Don’t pretend to be innocent on me!”  Aquamarine shouted at the gem child, fist raised up as she took another strike at Steven.  All these changes done to Homeworld, it was his fault.  Everything bad happening to her now was his fault.  She lost her notable position and was forced to play nice with the other gems, including those who were lesser than her!  Why did he have to get the Diamonds to change things, it was unfair!
