From Lekki To Sango — MrFunds Becomes First Ejigbo Artiste  To Perform At The Lounge365 In Sango Ota

With the feat, IBFUNDS became the first Ejigbo-based artiste to perform at the Lounge365, earning a spot on a stage that had been graced by the likes of MzKiss, King Bernard and BDCTV.

History was made on Sunday in the Sango Ota when Nigerian Singer Bakare Ibrahim, better known as MrFunds (Fundslomor), performed to a sold out crowd of Thousand at The The Palms Shoprite Lounge365 Centre , Sango Ota.

With the feat, MrFunds became the first Ejigbo-based artiste to perform at the Palms Shoprite, earning a spot on a stage that had been graced by the likes of MzKiss, Kind Bernard and BDCTV.

MrFunds was ushered onto the stage by BMN CREW super model. Welcoming him, she said: “Today is a historic day; 2018, 02 of December is a historic day for Afrobeat music in THE PALM SHOPRITE SANGO OTA. I want to congratulate Fundslomor for putting out this wonderful event.”

BFUNDS  breezed onto the stage with his two hands in the air — a signature style of the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti who is regarded as the creator of Afrobeats.  Speaking after performing ’HANDSOME BALLER’, MrFunds told the massive crowd in adulterated English: “ONE LOVE, ONE AFRICAN I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT, GOD BLESS YOU ALL.”

He also took out time to pay homage to past and present African artistes. After this, he went into the show proper, serenading the crowd with some of his classic hits, such as ‘MUJO’, ’SPAGHETTI’, ‘KOWOLE’, ‘I LOVE EJIGBO’ and ‘MA LO RO , MA LO WO’.

The event came to a climax when he told his story again in ‘HANDSOME BALLER’, and watched the crowd go wild. It was visible, even to the blind and audible to the deaf, that MrFUNDS had cemented his place in the annals of African music.

He has worked with international stars such as MzKiss, King Bernard , BDCTV .

Pretty Boyz Best Music Naija records artiste, IBFUNDS has made a revelation about the influences of Davido and Wizkid on his art. He mentioned the two music stars among those who inspire him.During an interview with DJ Cheenz of Raypower, on Wednesday April 04th, 2018; Ibfunds revealed that he is inspired by Wizkid, Davido and other Nigerian artistes doing exploits and “putting the country on a different level.”Ibfunds also spoke about other influences on his music and he said, “listening to musicians in other parts of the world gave me the exposure that I needed and made music more interesting to make.”Speaking on the drive behind his craft, Ibfunds revealed that his passion for music is the primary force behind his craft and not necessarily money, although he stressed the importance of money in servicing a team as an artiste. He said, “music is not all about making money for me, honestly, I do this for the love even though I have a team that has to eat so I have to be innovative with it. It’s very fun and inspiring because I am inspired by my own story.Recall that Ibfunds, at some point, spoke about his connection with Naija rapper, MzKiss. The singer spoke on the subject during the interview. He said, “I was just chilling in Lagos Island  last year and I saw an Instagram post from MzKiss and I was like wow.“IBFUNDS was tempted to take credit for leading the penetration of Nigerian music into the International market but the singer instead sang the praises of his contemporaries: Wizkid and Davido. “It’s not only me, I won’t take all the credit, I’ll have to (say) big up (to) everybody from Wizkid to David, people that have been putting the country on a different level, raising the bar high. I want to give a big shout out to them, they inspire us,” he said.Speaking on his third coming Tracks, IBFUNDS said the Song will  be released on August  22 as announced earlier, adding that it would be out Everywhere for about a week or two.
