any1 ever think about the fact that ibara """"accidentally"""" put kaname into a coma with the help of the angry reimei students while his actual plan was to put tatsumi in a long term coma so he wouldn't succeed with his revolution? And that jun doesn't know that ibara was actually behind it? While they're all buddy buddy now?? I really wonder if he ever does find out. Because he Knows that the current himeru is truly different from the old one. While tatsumi thinks it stems from his coma or simply a personality change, jun is still kind of wary of him. He does get along with the current himeru, but not to the extent as it was back then. Since Utakata released, it's canon that Crazy:B knows of Himeru's secret after Rinne sees him leave kaname's hospital room. But they accept it as it is. Because they don't even know who Kaname is. Kohaku joined reimei way after the stage incident and obviously doesn't seem to know about it. But how would Jun react when he finds out Kaname is still in a coma and the guy he's been talking to the entire time is just his half-brother pretending to be him? I think that's also one of the reasons why he was so comfortable talking about pheromones to Himeru, because he'd guess himeru/kaname would take it as a weird joke. And then they'd bicker about it. Sigh.
But that does bring me to the topic of Ibara's and Jun's relationship in general. Jun is the only person where Ibara can drop his serious facade and act like someone his age, he's not a 45 year old businessman, he's a 19 year old who has a bad persona. They can tease and bicker about so causally, as if they've known each other for long enough to do that. And the thing is, they've only known each other for 4(2?) years in the enstars universe. Jun has mentioned this himself too. Ibara is a tough nut when it comes to talking to him so causally. Which is why their relationship kinda amazes me. Right off the bat, the first time they properly meet is also where Ibara calls him his 'soulmate' out of the blue. But since they're the same age, they see each other as the shadows of their seniors and have had a rough past, are the many factors that bring them together. But, one of the ""biggest"" things that divides them is their status. While both are idols, Ibara is still Eden's producer and admitted that he used to look down on jun because of how 'weak' he seemed. Not weak as in physically weak, but weak as potential to grow as an idol. He just didn't see that in him until Exceed happened. Ibara, first out of pure interest, helps Jun out of his slump by rewriting the already finished lyrics to his center song. Just out of kindness? Really? Would he have done that for Nagisa or Hiyori? We never get to see any kind of any scenario where he would have the chance to rewrite a song for the seniors so... I don't know if he would. Maybe out of command, because he obviously wouldn't want them to be completely unsatisfied with the song. But if it were Hiyori who were in a slump, would he have done the same?
I know that it's unlikely for Hiyori to ever get into that scenario, because Jun's slump started because he got interviewed by a company and they only labeled Jun as Hiyori's support. As if he were easily replaceable and not as special as the others. And Hiyori would never be labeled as that, because he is literally the sun of Eden. But hypothetically, would he have done that? Now, yes he would. As said before, because of pure command from Hiyori and not from the kindness of his heart. Hiyori would've most likely admitted it straight away or either hinted very obviously at it (He's kinda unpredictable so this could also be wrong). Hiyori and Ibara aren't as """"close""""" as Jun and Ibara are, because their personalities kind of clash with each other. In the past it used to be way worse, but it's gotten better. But still. I don't think he would've rewritten the lyrics to be more motivational purely out of the bottom of his heart. (And admittedly, the lyrics to exceed aren't that impactful and """romantical""" as I make them seem, just not the usual Eden lyric style.). By the end of the story, Jun invites Ibara to a cafe date to repay him for his efforts.
So, the whole reason I'm saying this is because how would Jun react to Ibara being part of the reason Kaname is still in a coma? I still don't know how he would exactly react, but since Kaname and Jun were also as close as Ibara and Jun now, he'd probably be completely heart-broken. It kind of depends when Happyelements will decide to release that revelation. I'd say realistically in 2 years because 2 years ago they released Obbligato and now Uatakta with the secret being known to Crazy:B. I'd also like to mention that before Utakata Valkyrie and Ibara knew of Himerus secret. Ibara because they're distantly related, and Valkyrie because they threatened to release the information to the public if Crazy:B ever tried to hurt Valkyries image.
But anyway, Kaname and Jun were equals, they could rely on each other simply because of the blizzard circumstances of their situations. Both were lower class students and could only dream of reaching a higher rank. Their relationship is eerily similar to today's ibajun's. Would Jun never want to talk to Ibara again? Forgive him because it wasn't really his fault? Be angry because he never said anything while he knew about everything that actually happened? We can't say for certain, but I really hope they don't forget about Kaname and Jun.
