IARD Photography turned 1 today!

A big THANK YOU to all of you who took the time to look at my photos!

I spent quite a few hours these last couple of days looking at the photos from my father's collection (almost all of the issues from 1969 to 1980) of Sovetskoe Foto (Soviet Photo) magazine...

Here's the cover of the issue from the month and year when I was born, march 1969, celebrating 130 years of photography :)

If you take out the inherent communist propaganda, what's left is a whole bunch of good photos ;)

Infrared filters test

While sorting through my father's photo equipment I've found a complete set of Panchromar filters, most of them of little use for today's digital cameras (like all sort of yellow, green, red, blue, and orange filters).

Some are still useful, like UV, ND2, ND4, ND8, and two infrared filters.

First picture: IR schwarz (black), 60 sec

Second picture: IR rot (red), 1/2 sec

Camera settings: Exposure bias 5 EV, ISO100, F/5.6, 42mm

Testing the Auto Revuenon Zoom 75-205mm at f/3.5 and 200mm. ISO 800.

Hand holding this heavy cannon of a lens is definitely not an option when shooting indoors, with available light :(
