IAM seems sooooo crowded and I keep thinking one of the lesser known teams will take a chance and go to IAMO, but so far we haven’t seen it yet. And I’m a little surprised by that.
it's true, and they keep taking on new ones. so i guess that means they believe they can handle that many. it does seem like IAMO is pretty busy as well. Marie-France talked about how she and Patch built their school slowly from scratch but were happy to be able to accelerate the process for IAMO by lending their support and knowledge. maybe there's still a learning curve for a new school, and they have what they can handle at the moment?
i'd be curious to know more about how much work admin wise there is in running a high level skating school - there was that interview with Noah McMillan where he said Madi and Adrian came back early from a day trip to Toronto to do paperwork - maybe the coaches take care of that for the competitions they travel to? And Noah also said Scott's at the rink all the time. so what's he doing? there's scheduling, coordinating with IAM, with the feds (they have 5 now), with their facilities, financial stuff, travel stuff like visas, plus whatever work he has for individual skaters?
#i wonder how much a team pays to IAM or IAMO for monthly training fees#iamo has 3 full time coaches and 4 part time#iam has 6 full time and several part time and freelancing like zach d

we last saw him in december at santa claus cup in hungary with samantha and daniel for IAMO. there were 7 coaches for the 8 teams and maybe 3-4 solo skaters who were at IAMO this past season, while IAM in MTL had only 6 skating coaches for the 18+ teams they had. maybe scott, madi and adrian are the only full time coaches at IAMO, and IAM MTL has other part time coaches
justin was at Skate Canada in 2010 and 6th at Can Nats in 2011 with his partner Sarah Arnold and trained with Paul McIntosh out of Kitchener-Waterloo
