Good to know! I just really like the scenery and history. I heard living there can be rough though. I'm moving to Seattle in a few months anyways and getting out of this hellturd of a state.

Some people may like that piggish attitude and "murring" at strangers and random fat people, but I find it disrespectful and disturbing. Most bears that completely drown themselves in "bear culture" literally belong on fetlife and that's fine, but don't act like it's an acceptable way to act around everyone. Literally treat people like pieces of meat and glorify obesity. You can find someone with a larger build attractive and not drown yourself in fetishes and call it culture. No thanks

I agree. It's like they're attracted to the label and all the weird shit that comes with it. It very literally erases people natural personalities. Instead of actually having a conversation it's all woofing and weird shit like that. It's kinda sad cause there are "big" men who can be really attractive that feel like they only place they belong is in the bear community so they give into it and the community warps them into this nasty woofing thing that thinks it's better than everyone else. I don't only find it disrespectful, but I also find it so cliche and boring. It's no better than people in those online communities who just say "hi" or "wuts up" over and over. People think grrrrr-ing and woofing is cute and unique or something. They also definitely glorify obesity, which is beyond me. I like men of all shapes and sizes, big and small, but when your size is very literally unhealthy (big OR small) that's a problem, and shouldn't be valued as something sexy. 

I've never been big on labels but I'm officially done with cliques in the gay community. I've given them so many chances and tried to reach out to people but to no avail it turns stupid real fast. But I am super glad I'm not the only person who has these thoughts so thanks for making me feel less alone in my opinions.

Any paw print tattoo is disturbing. The woofing and barking is disturbing. The level of respect for other people and their space is nonexistent. Everything is 50 times more sexual than ANY other sub-gay-culture.

I agree 100%. As much as I hate getting sjw-y it's important to note how the bears are generally the perpetuators of gay rape culture and assume everyone around them wants to be fucked by them whether they like it or not.

I hate all of it. I hate the "culture", I hate the labels, I hate everything about it. Like my motivation to lose weight is to stop being associated with people like that

Me too. It's so gross. Part of my reason to lose weight is the same. Bears came about to get rid of gay labels but made a whole label system of their own and I've been bullied by elitist bears so so so many times from being young all the way to not being "bear-y enough." It's a horrible "community."

Side note: bear claw tattoos are nasty and when someone "woofs" at me I cringe
