#iam so obsessed with how you made all of the members represent one issue of society

before I made my vigilante oc and his world I thought of au idea where a new group of villains replaces the league sfter the kamino incident and each have a gripe with an asect of hero society they want to fix. I'll list them out and see what you think because I may revisit it.
Hachurui waniguchi/herpeton(think of this as the prototype of him) his quirk is herptile: he looks like and can do anything a reptike or amphibian can, and he was outcast as an omen of evil for his reptilian appearance, he believes hero society pits too much emphasis on attractiveness, and dilsikes conventiobally attractive heroes like mt lady and mirko
Sai kabutomushi/heracles: his quirk is carapace and he was an expelled student of eraserhead who believes heroes are sheltered from the consequences of their actions.
Arihachi suzume/vesper: his quirk is aprocrita. He was fired from his job as a construction worker for using his quirk on the job. He believes society to be too focused on heroes, and that quirks should be incorporated into other jobs as well.
hime takai/pyrokindle: her quirk is fire manipulation. She has a grudge against the sexism in hero society, which came to a head when endeavor crushed her dreams for her gender, and inability to make fire, only manipulate it.
Kabe furawa/nialliv: her quirk is reflective portal. She is a mousy wallflower who can't atand showboating gloryhogs like captain celebrity and mt lady.
Tsujo futsu/monotone: he is quirkless and relies on martial arts and weapons in combat. He holds distain for hero society's treatment of the quirkless.
So what do you think, any thoughtz?
Hi @suchusoid 👋
Honestly, from what you told me, this is such a good idea! Having another group replace the league, all of them representing different parts of society and the societal issues that they faced, that they would like to change is amazing compared to the less developed LOV in this case.
Personally, it would be interesting to see how they all work together as a group, especially with all of their different goals. I see that they will probably learn about other societal issues from the characters that experienced them and will probably help them out unifying them and making them a stronger team who at the end of the day seem to all want justice and equality.
Aside from this, I love how you made every character stand for something and how they seem to all be unique in their own regards. To me, this is what the league should have been, characters who are complex and represent a different part of society that is incredibly flawed. It's a shame that the league in Canon doesn't have much representing material that genuinely expands on the mha worldbuilding and the falls of mha society where they challenge them and help challenge the ideals of young heroes.
Since you mentioned that this group of vigilantes will be overtaking the LOV, I think it would be interesting to have some LOV members like spinner interact with waniguchi. Both of them have faced mutation discrimination due to their quirks, and honestly, it would be interesting to see what makes wanguichi stand out and be a better character than spinner. This could be from the fundamental differences in ideals and respective goals. Also, it would be cool to see wanguichi interact with some 1A students such as shoji, koda, and other characters who faced mutant discrimination.
From what I can see Wanguichi will absolutely hate miriko and Hawk's and may even have some conflict with characters who are mutants and uphold the system like centipede or gang orca. However, the most interesting interaction with wanguichi would be with asui because if you can remember asui is the least mutated in her family yet she still has the capabilities of a frog so I feel like she would understand wanguichi and would question her own beliefs and may even help him as she doesn't want for her family to be discrimated against due to their mutation that they can't control.
I love that you're bringing up one of eraserheads expelled students as a villain and I feel like he would absolutely despise bakugo thinking that he is naive and is like other heroes such as enji who will never face the consequences of their actions due to their privilege. I imagine that heracles would have an interesting dynamic with izuku pushing him to see bakugos faults and allow him to break free of that chain that society put on him to act and think a certain way, to conform and fit in so he won't be ridiculed (an active fear that izuku is shown to have in canon).
Pyrokindle, I can see heavily interacting and being involved in the todoroki plot line, probably also plotting enji's downfall alongside dabi. However, I see her and Dabi getting into multiple arguments about what Dabi is willing to do and his hatred for shoto and other family members. I see them actively challenging one another's perceptions of the thin line that is revenge and justice, or hatred and jealousy. It would be interesting for them to interact, especially considering Touya's toxic childhood beliefs that were installed in him ever since he was a child.
Vesper would get along well with Twice. I feel like they may argue considering certain things, but they would work together to present a new law that controls how quirks can be used in the workforce to prevent the exploitation of quirks and harassment or discrimation.
Vesper's goals are understandable, and honestly, he can interact with any character, although I see him and jirou + mic meshing well together due to the fact that their quirks can be used for their hobbies/jobs in the music industry.
Finally, I am glad that you also have quirkless rep here with a character like monotone he heavily reminds me of Mustard and what he was saying in the training camp arc with individuals relying heavily on their quirks. Out of all the characters I see him and izuku meshing well together, having him challenge izuku and the toxic internalised beliefs that izuku has developed due to being in a toxic environment that despised him for not having a quirk and thinking that he was weak monotone would break that and I imagine he and izuku would form a good relationship. I see monotone getting on with monoma and other quirkless fighters who don't have the privilege of relying on a good quirk.
#mha#bnha#thanks for the ask#thanks for the ask!#this is a great idea#iam so obsessed with how you made all of the members represent one issue of society#as much as i love the LOV this is better#although now that I think about it#it would be interesting if we saw the LOV members interact with the other group memebers maybe even join them
