here's a newer snippet (like. five minutes old) from I admit, I confess, I surrender aka the touch starved Eddie fic

“My brother’s worried about you,” Maddie tells him one day, apropos of nothing. The words are gentle, passed quietly across the cafe table between them and mingling with the steam rising out of their to-go cups. It’s rare for the two of them to have the same day off, but it’s not like Eddie is working much lately. Most of his time that isn’t spent traveling back and forth between all the different types of therapy he now needs is spent at home on his couch, where he had been when Maddie showed up on his doorstep to drag him out into the Los Angeles sun. He sees where Buck gets it now.

Eddie looks up at her, chewing on the inside of his cheek as he wonders what would be an appropriate response. Maybe he should be, doesn’t sound like the right thing to say. So am I, doesn’t either. He takes a sip of his coffee. Regular, one cream and two sugars, the most boring order in the world according to everyone he’s ever met. The scalding liquid burns his tongue.

“I’m okay,” he says. The lie burns his tongue too.

❌Um menino de 10 anos de idade resgatou um filhote de cachorro que estava abandonado na rua, o colocou dentro da própria mochila e o levou até um ponto com ração e água instalado em uma farmácia de Caldas Novas, na região sul de Goiás. Câmeras registraram João Gabriel Mota Garcia ajudando o cachorrinho a se alimentar e despedindo dele, emocionado. O vídeo foi postado nas redes sociais e já têm mais de 3 milhões de visualizações. - “Eu tinha acabado de sair da aula e encontrei o cachorrinho. Eu fiquei com dó, porque ele estava sozinho e era muito fofinho, parecia estar com fome. Levei ele até a farmácia que eu passo na porta todo dia e sei que tem ração e água para os cachorros de rua e deixei ele lá, comendo. No outro dia passei por lá e vi que ele tinha sido adotado. Fiquei muito feliz”, disse ao G1. - O caso ocorreu na tarde do último dia 3 de outubro, em frente a uma farmácia, no Setor Iaici II, em Caldas Novas. João Gabriel saiu da aula, resgatou o cachorrinho e o levou, dentro da mochila, até o estabelecimento. As imagens mostram o menino retirando o animal de dentro da mochila e o colocando para comer e beber água. Em seguida, ele se despede, acenando ao bichinho. - A mãe de João Gabriel, a artesã Sirlei Mota, disse que o menino não havia contado para ela do ato heroico. Ela disse que só ficou sabendo quando a professora dele chegou até ela a parabenizando por ter um “filho famoso”. “A professora me mostrou uma foto mostrando ele dando comida para o cachorrinho. Aí eu cheguei, perguntei para ele e ele não me contou direito, acho que ficou receoso, com medo de ter feito algo de errado. Meu marido procurou o vídeo na internet e quando viu o tanto de gente que já havia assistido, ficamos surpresos”. - Recompensa - Depois de encontrar o cachorrinho e ver, por meio das câmeras de segurança, quem havia deixado o animal no local, o empresário Rafael Carneiro de Almeida e a mulher dele, Diessa de Sousa Tomé, com a ajuda de amigos, localizaram a família do João Gabriel e resolveram dar dois presentes para ele: um tênis novo para ele ir para escola, e um tablet para que ele estudasse e se divertisse. Here is some of the touch starved Eddie fic that nobody asked for <3

Eddie doesn’t know what touch starved means until his therapist explains it to him. It’s rather self-explanatory, upon reflection, and he’s more than a little bit embarrassed for going thirty-two years unable to put a name to the feeling that has plagued him so relentlessly.  Frank tells him he needs to start initiating physical contact, to stop being afraid to ask for what he needs, and Eddie wants to ask, How? How do I learn how to ask for something I don’t think I’ve ever even had? But despite all that he’s come to accept the importance of his own forthcomingness in the context of therapy, it’s not something he can bring himself to say out loud. Instead he nods, accepts the homework for what it is, and leaves. Buck’s jeep is waiting outside the building, idling in a spot that he’s precariously parallel parked into. Eddie can feel the bass of the radio thrumming through his fingers when he grabs the passenger door handle, but the music switches off as soon as he swings it open.  “Hey,” Buck greets him, immediately abandoning whatever he had been doing on his phone. Eddie tries for a smile, but whatever his face does instead has Buck looking at him sympathetically.  Buck never asks him how his sessions with Frank go, despite driving him to and from them more often than not. He doesn’t ask if Eddie’s okay, trusting him the same way he does with everything else to speak up if he’s not. Eddie tries hard not to betray that trust, since the last time he had he’d wound up taking a baseball bat to his bedroom wall.

Sorry I haven’t been posting/reblogging these games lately I’ve been in a pit of despair but ily guys for still tagging me 🥺🫶🏻 I didn’t want to spam anyone’s feed so I queued a bunch of the ones I was tagged in today btw:-) anywhom...here is a lil bit my latest angsty Eddie fic

Eddie has to wrestle down his instinct to tense up, forcing himself to slide his arms underneath Buck’s to grasp at the back of his hoodie. He’s not sure how long they stay like that, Buck’s breath ghosting against the side of his neck, his body solid and warm and grounding. He seems content to let Eddie decide when the hug is over, which he does only when he feels the clock has ticked past the socially acceptable length of time to cling to your best friend while sitting in his car in your driveway.  Buck’s palm lands on Eddie’s jaw for a fraction of a second as he pulls away, thumb swiping over his cheek as if to check for wetness there.  “What was that for?” he asks. Not, Are you okay? Not, Why did you do that?  Eddie shrugs. The absence of Buck pressed against him leaves a permeating cold in its wake that he can’t blame on the autumn air outside, and he struggles not to shiver.  “I don’t know,” he lies. “Just felt like it.” With that, he pushes out of the car, pulling out his keys as he goes, and knows Buck will be right behind him.

OKAY SOOOO I just answered about this one but some more info:

I really just. wanted to write about Eddie being repressed as hell and realizing he's touch starved and actually needs attention to survive but he doesn't know how to ask for it bc he's gone his whole life taught that it's something shameful. so obviously he turns to buck to help him

hehe hiiiiii!!!! so this is the Touch Starved Eddie fic that I posted a few snippets of already here. This one is really a lot of me projecting my extremely specific trauma and angst onto Eddie bc I relate to him and I want to write about him going thru the same painful journey towards the mortifying ordeal of expressing your emotions and accepting affection that I had to go thru. and also bc by god he needs a fucking hug
