Idk about event but when i saw this question, i thought it also includes story lines - and if that's the case, it's gotta be Bdubs and Doc being neighbors in the beginning of season 7 :D easily the funniest arc ever

8 - what hermit’s building style do you like most? and does it influence/resemble yours?

Etho! Etho!! Etho!!! I like how analytic he is about building. He has a way of doing it, he thinks it through but he also improvises, and he can explain it like an instruction ‼️‼️ that's so awesome of him. I like his way of building in "patches" (i think that's the word he used?) but also how his buildings largely consist of patterns. And ofc the "a useful building can also be pretty"

Honorary mention to Pearl, i really like her color palettes and awesome shapes :D i wanna build interiors and terraforming like her!!!

10 - how do you go about watching hermitcraft? (do you wait until the end of the week and binge everyone’s eps? do you use youtube’s speed settings? do you listen while doing something else? etc.)

I try to watch episodes as they come out, especially cuz i watch like 15 hermits. I have an organized mcyt watching playlist so i always know how much i need to catch up on. I stopped watching hc almost altogether lately, and there's a MASSIVE backlog of Cub's videos that i have there... Scary stuff. I like watching them while i pay Minecraft, especially Cub and Doc (but i think i might stop watching Cub cuz that's just too much 😭😭) I almost never put Bdubs's and Etho's videos in the background, THEY REQUIRE MY FULL ATTENTION. Whenever these two have new videos, i watch them as soon as possible. I started using speed setting only very recently, and i use PipePipe so i have a lot of control over the exact speed :3c 1.2x is the most comfortable for me, i now watch pretty much everything with this speed. I used to watch recaps weekly but i haven't watched them in a while.

Joe - everything I see about him is so unique and hilarious but so far I haven't really gotten into his videos. Maybe someday, though!

🐸 What year did you start watching hermitcraft?

Okay, let's do the story now. In early 2019 I was watching some of Grian's building videos and stumbled onto his Hermitcraft series, which I started watching, got hooked on, and gradually started watching more and more hermits. I was really excited when Bdubs came back towards the end of S6 because I had watched him way back in Attack of the B-Team days, and at some point I learned that he had been in S5 so I went back and watched that. The videos were so familiar and I realized I had seen them before... I had watched his S5... so basically I was watching Hermitcraft before I knew it was Hermitcraft! I only watched Bdubs then, though, and had no idea what was going on on the rest of the server so I consider S6 to be when I started watching Hermitcraft.

Season 6! I watched Grian's series from the beginning and caught up to episodes being currently released right around the time of the Civil War.

Season 7! The Head Games, Hermit challenges, HWF, the Button, Boomers, Shade-E-E's, the mayoral race, Turf War, Decked Out, the Upside Down, HCBBS, Sewer Cats, Aque Town... so much good stuff!

Man, it's hard to choose, but I think my favorite moment(s) were Etho's meetings with Llama Dad in S7. They were so funny and the Etho and Beef vibes are impeccable.

A few! Mostly I watch Tango's Phasmo and stabby streams, and MCC (usually False).

I watch other videos too! I watch just about all the videos of the hermits I'm subscribed to: Traffic series, Empires, Building with Bdoubleo, Naked and Scared, and Etho's singleplayer and modded series are all amazing!

This is sarcasm by the way, I didn't call you names and I'd wish that you might do the same for me? But anyways.

I've seen that doc before. I've literally seen it. The whole of the MCYTblr user base has seen it if they're even mildly involved in the dsmp. I can't be bothered to debunk it right now, which I know you'll take as a "heehoo teenager doesn't want to acknowledge that minecraft bad :(" but no it's just because it takes literally nineteen paragraphs to debunk, because a tumblr user literally has taken the time to do that before. And even then, the person they were debating with refused to acknowledge any points they brought up, because people who use that doc don't do any of their own research, seriously how can you even use a doc that says "im not going to update it when they've apologized anymore >:/". Fundy has apologized for that stuff already, And fun fact dream isn't friends with pewdiepie? Neither is tommyinnit. Valkyrae, corpse, sykkuno, dream, connoreatspants, all of these people were in that same lobby. Besides dream using pewdiepie as clickbait and participating in maybe 10 among us lobbies with the guy, they don't interact.

The mcyt fandom is literally one of the biggest in the world right now. Yeah some of the fans are going to be a lot weird, but 1. That isn't how you should judge creators, otherwise I'd just hate jenna marbles, and 2. They're the loud minority, and they're on twitter. Dude dream doesn't even stream in the dsmp, the large majority of dsmp fans aren't that invested in him. There's 29 other creators on there, and not to bring up the dream has black friends argument, but dream has a huge poc audience and a good chunk of his friends are poc. If they were bothered by him right now (because by the way, he no longer supports trump and actively denounces him. He's an agnostic liberal he/they, for what it's worth, and I don't believe that guy can fake those opinions with his rsd. I haven't watched him in months and even I know that) there's no way they wouldn't try and at least distance themselves. If Antfrost was bothered, or velvet (his boyfriend and one of the most non-caring outspoken people when it comes to shit like this) they would not interact with him like they do.

Plus you weren't even the person I was talking to ! I was replying to masterqifrey. You jumped in on a conversation that didn't involve you with one of the three trinitys of "god not this doc again" in the mcyt community. When people say be critical of the content you consume, that also applys to you and the rumours that you consume without fact-checking.

You never see people address the fandom because you don't watch their streams or their youtube clips. Our fandom doesn't have apology videos, we have streams that you need to actively watch to see addressed. Philza addressed online safety like a week ago, tommyinnit constantly addresses how people should act in reference to him and his community, ranboo and tubbo both address stuff like this 24/7, but you're not going to have people listening to them all the time. That's just how it goes. They have jobs and lives and they're not going to make apology videos just for the benefit of people who don't watch them. So I'll wait for the person I was originally talking to to reply, and you can go on about your day hopefully not insulting people who didn't insult you.

I was wondering if you occasionally watch some guys from the misfits group (swaggersouls or fitz perhaps) or even some youtube ogs (ian or I dont know.. maxmoefoe?) since they do run along the same vein and know each other pretty well. but it is edgier content so I kinda want to make sure before I come off anon and get totally butchered for my crippling taste in fagtubers

i don't really watch the misfits, not because i don't like them but just because i've never really gotten around to watching them. i'll watch swagger's streams occasionally, since when he streams it's late for me and no one else is usually live. they're a chill group.

i was a heavy cancer crew watcher back in the day, max is the one i watch most often now (his pokemon card et al. channel primarily) and i'll tune into an idubbbz video once in a while (the fact that his fiancee has an of is cringe though, i'm not afraid to admit this). i've watched a few cold ones episodes, they're solid, mostly haven't watched them because again i just haven't gotten around to it.

at the end of the day anon i really only judge people for watching assholes like jake paul, the obvious clout chaser types, because it's just shitty content and really, if you're that uncritical about what you watch (in a quality way not a faggy social politics way) you're probably a shitty person too, statistically

if i'm being completely honest i don't even think most minecraft youtubers are cringe, the problem is that the fans are just absolutely unbearable and the fact that a lot of the mcyt folk don't keep their fans in check more makes me give them a bit of a side eye. an army of 14 year olds shouldn't think that they have the power to police what grown adults think and say and do. but that's another issue altogether :)
