all text is photocopied from the liner notes for a CD of the album Armed Forces (1979) by Elvis Costello & the Attractions. i've always loved this album and the big messy bundle of highly charged wordplay throughout it; Costello's sarcastic commentary in the CD's liner notes compliments the lyrics very nicely. i still have a pile of meticulously cut-out blurbs i couldn't quite fit on these...
