Taking Care
Sebastian (SDV) x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: I recently got back into Stardew Valley with the 1.6 update and got this dialogue with Sebastian, which gave me many ideas lol. I may end up writing a part 2 to this or just edit this post to add more
Another A/N: Okay, I totally did edit this to add more, and I think I'm going to do it again at some point lol
Last A/N: I did do it again lol, but now I think I've used all my ideas for this story
"What?! Are you kidding me?" You whisper shout, trying to keep Robin from hearing you.
Who knows what she would do if she found out Sebastian went into the caves alone. To be fair, you were about to knock him upside the head when you saw the gash on his arm.
It was gross, to say the least. It traveled up his forearm, the edges where his skin was split looked wilted, and you were surprised you couldn't see bone with how deep it was. Again, it was pretty gnarly.
"Sebastian, that needs to be taken care of; if you get an infection, you could lose your arm."
"That's a bit overdramatic," Sebastian says, "besides, I can't go see Harvey, he'd tell my mom for sure."
"Fine, then I'm going to take care of it."
You don't wait for his protest, grabbing his other arm and leading him to the couch in his room. Luckily for him, you were just on your way to the mines, so you had first aid supplies on hand.
First, you doused the wound with a life elixir, which stung based on the hiss Sebastian let out. Though already his skin was starting to close back together, the wonders of the Valley magic.
"I can't believe you went in there-"
"Hey, I have every right to go in there, same as you." He snapped, cutting you off.
You looked up and saw the harsh glare he was throwing your way, which you were happy to return as you continued...
"Slow down, hot shot. If you'd let me finish, I was going to say, 'I can't believe you went in there without a weapon.'"
"Oh," He mumbles, his eyebrows softening and his lips frowning, "Sorry, I guess I just didn't want a lecture."
"Well, you deserve one," you remark, "but now isn't the time."
"I lost my mace, but I didn't think it would be a big deal to go into the higher levels."
You sigh while grabbing gauze and a bandage to wrap around his arm. Gently, you take his arm in your hands and begin covering the wound.
Sebastian can feel goosebumps rising as he feels your surprisingly soft hands take care of him. He doesn't want to admit it to you yet, but it feels nice to have you there with him, worried about his well-being.
You finish wrapping his arm and look up to see him already gazing down at you. He almost seems to be in a trance, and you can feel yourself following along. Who knows how long you two spend looking at each other, wondering what will come next.
Taking a chance, you cup his hand in yours, drawing circles with your thumb. Slowly, your other hand travels up towards his face. Sebastian lets out a shaky breath and closes his eyes, ready for anything.
However, before you can make contact, Robin calls for Sebastian from the stairs, breaking the moment. His eyes snap open and you both jolt away, trying to come back to the present moment.
Quickly, Sebastian pulls his sweatshirt sleeve over the bandaged wound and calls back to his mother, telling her he'll be right there. You both emerge from his room, much to Robin's surprise.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had company." She says, noticing the blush coating yours and Sebastian's face. You can tell she's trying to keep the teasing smile from showing, though she thankfully doesn't ask questions.
"It's alright, I was just leaving anyways." You say hastily, waving goodbye to them both before booking it out of the building.
Before the door closes, you can hear a faint mumble from Robin. Sebastian, in a much louder fashion, tells her to keep her voice down, and you swear you hear him say something akin to "not yet."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been 2 days since you last saw Sebastian, but now it's Friday, and you couldn't miss the weekly hangout with Sam and Abigail. Of course, it's not like you were avoiding Sebastian, but you also weren't sure how to act around him right now.
Usually, you would share everything with Abigail, but you had promised Sebastian that you wouldn't tell anyone that he got hurt. Unfortunately, Abigail isn't one to miss things going on with her best friend, so you had to admit to her that something had happened between you two.
This made tonight particularly anxiety-inducing as you didn't know what to expect when you walked into the saloon. You were the last to join, not unusual with your work on the farm.
The trio is in their usual spots, Seb and Sam playing pool with Abigail sitting on the couch. After saying hello to the others in the saloon, you join them.
Robin tries to slyly give you a thumbs up when you pass by. You and Demetrius furrow your brows in confusion, but you give her a smile and continue on.
"Hey, Y/n!" Abigail calls, waving you over to sit beside her on the couch.
Sebastian was just going to hit the cue ball when he heard your name, causing the pool stick to shake. The cue ball ricochets wildly across the table and Sam laughs at Sebastian's frown.
"Hmm, you seem a little distracted, Seb," Abigail says, "I think it's my turn."
You watch as she gets up and ushers Sebastian out of the way, wanting to pull her back to the seat. The boys share a look of confusion, but Seb moves over to the side with you.
While Sebastian's back is turned to her, Abigail tries to give you a discreet wink, to which you squint your eyes at her.
When he gets to the couches, Seb hesitates whether to join you or sit on the adjacent seat.
Before you can move, he shakes his head a little and plops down beside you, considerably closer than Abby was.
You try to mask the surprise and keep your body from going rigid. Why were you freaking out? He's one of your best friends; it's not like you haven't sat together before.
You pinch the inside of your hand to shake you from your thoughts. Looking over, you see Sebastian's eyes trained on the pool game.
Right as the cue ball cracks against an object ball, you lean closer to his ear and whisper, "How's your arm feeling?"
Seb lets out a shaky breath, something he's been doing a lot with you recently.
"It's good, there's just a scar left." He says, moving to face you and lifting his jacket sleeve just enough for you to see.
He's right, the wound has completely closed, and the scar is faded to a light pink. You feel relief flood your system, not realizing how worried you were about him.
"I'm glad." You say softly, going to touch the scar before pausing.
Glancing up, Sebastian gives you a tiny nod, and you watch the goosebumps rise on his arm as you make contact. You gently run your fingers along the mark, making him shiver.
"Does it hurt?" You whisper, lifting your gaze to meet his.
He shakes his head, "Just sensitive."
You cup his arm in your hands, a mimic of what happened 2 days ago in his room. This time, he flips his arm over, bringing his hand to yours, fingers dancing over your palm.
Now it's your turn to have your breath catch, but you don't break the eye contact. Just before Sebastian can lace his fingers through yours, Abigail cheers loudly, causing you two to break away.
Broken from your shared trance once again, you see Robin walk into the room. Sam and Abigail are looking at you both with a raised eyebrow as Sebastian talks to his mother.
"Seems like something that should happen in private," Abigail whispers to you, and you have to fight the blush clawing its way up your neck.
"Seems like something that's never going to happen." You respond. In your defense, it's difficult to think that the universe isn't stopping this for a reason.
Sam shakes his head vigorously, "It will, be patient."
You huff and roll your eyes playfully, kind of, but the conversation is halted when Sebastian returns to the group.
"Guess it's time to go home," Sam says, guiding Abigail to the door of the saloon.
You and Sebastian follow, but he grabs your arm to make you stop once you leave the building.
"Let me walk you home."
Your mouth drops open, but no words come out. He raises an eyebrow slightly, and you snap your mouth shut, giving him a tiny nod.
You both walk side by side until you leave the town center, cross through the area near the bus stop, and onto your farm. Stopping at the porch, Sebastian shuffles and scratches the back of his neck. Giving him a soft smile, you step closer and reach your hand from your side, ghosting your fingers over his.
Another shaky breath, and you make a mental note to ask Harvey to check into that at Sebastian's next check-up. You're brought back to the moment when his hand grabs yours and he pulls you closer.
Gently, his other arm wraps around your waist, and his hand rests on your back. You follow his lead, running your free hand up his chest to the back of his neck.
Feeling your breath hit his lips, Sebastian decides he's done with the waiting, the tension, and the interruptions. He leans down and gives you an intense kiss, if a little sloppy. You can't exactly complain; it's not like there are many people he would be kissing in Pelican Town.
You pull back a little, keeping your lips close to his. When you look, his eyes are still closed, almost as if he is searing this moment in his memory.
Closing your eyes, you do the same, hoping that you both will make many more memories. Who knows how much time passes before you step back. Sebastian's eyes blink open, and you share a smile as your eyes meet again.
"I don't think I ever said thank you for taking care of me."
"I'll always take care of you."
————————————————————————-
December 18th, 2023
If you told me a year ago, when I started dating Joe, that we would have to go two months without seeing each other, I wouldn't have even agreed to go on a date with him.
Joe and I had an… age gap. He was 27, with an amazing career and a life built for himself, and I was 20 and still in college.
He was in Cincinnati while I was in Athens attending Ohio University.
We had met through our fathers who were both on the coaching staff at OU. We had a family dinner together, and Joe was the only one of Jimmy’s three boys who was able to make it.
Joe swears up and down still to this day that it was love at first sight when he saw me. He was just out of a relationship and wasn't looking for anything but he says that all changed when he saw me.
Now back to the two months without each other. Obviously, we were long-distance, and it was the mid-football season for him so that meant he was busy all of the time. I had just gotten done with finals for my fall semester, so up until now I had been super busy with university stuff.
Today I would see Joe for the first time since early October, and I couldn't be more excited.
My parents were even super excited because they were the ones on the receiving end of my griping the past couple of months.
My little brother was also super excited. Tommy was 10 years old and playing his first-ever tackle football game today. It was my dad’s travel football team he was playing for. My dad doesn't trust the coaches at his school so Tommy’s not allowed to play there.
Tommy’s only request for his first game was that his favorite NFL player be there.
It was Joe of course, and he promised he would be there.
He didn't disappoint either, just as my dad and Tommy took the field, Joe texted me saying he was a couple of minutes away.
“Are you excited?” - my mom nudged me
“Yeah. I've missed him.” - you smiled
“Oh, we know.” - your mom
I glared at her and rolled my eyes before I pulled out my phone to pass the time.
“Look, there he is!” - my mom
My head snapped up and there he was in all of his glory. Joe was walking over to the bleachers while watching the field.
“Go!” - my mom
I jumped up and ran down the stairs, seeing my mom get her phone out to record in the corner of my eye.
Joe by now had realized I'd seen him and stopped walking to open his arms for me.
When I was within inches of him I jumped into his arms.
His strong arms wrapped around my body and he slowly swayed with me.
“There’s my beautiful girl.” - Joe
“I missed you so much.” - you
“I missed you more. A day didn't go by that I didn't wish I was with you.” - Joe
My legs wrapped around his waist and my arms were around his neck. I knew that Joe wasn't a fan of PDA but this moment was too good, and there were barely any people in the bleachers anyways.
“You’re not allowed to leave me for that long again.” - you
“Never again sweetheart. I'll take you with me if I have to.” - Joe
“I love you.” - you
“I love you too…. so much.” - Joe whispered
A few moments of just hugging later, I spoke up.
“Can you walk us up to my mom? I don't want to let go yet.” - you
“Of course.” - Joe chuckled
My grip on him tightened as he easily started walking in his usual loose-hipped strides.
Climbing the stairs wasn't a problem for him either with me in his arms, Joe was taking two steps at a time.
“Hey Joe!” - your mom
“Hey! It's good to see you.” - Joe
“I don't know if you can tell, but she's missed you a lot.” - your mom
“I think I picked up on that.” - Joe chuckled
Joe gently lowered me onto the bleacher and plopped down next to me. We always sat at the top so we could sit against the wall of chain fencing.
I couldn't help but admire how cute he looked right now. Joe was wearing light grey sweatpants with a dark grey sweatshirt and flannel over top of it. The white backward hat was the icing on the cake.
“You're so handsome, Joe.” - you laid your head on his shoulder
“You say that all the time, baby.” - Joe smiled
“Because I mean it.” - you
Joe looked down at me with a large smile and kissed my forehead. One of his arms looped around my waist as he pulled away.
“Well, you're pretty gorgeous yourself.” - Joe
Feeling my cheeks heating up, I hid my face in his neck. Joe would usually try to make me blush more, but he was enjoying the heat of your red cheeks against his cold neck.
My mom handed Joe a blanket to which he gave her a thankful smile before draping it over our legs.
“You warm?” - Joe
“Mhm. You emit a lot of heat.” - you giggled
“Good.” - Joe
“By the way, you're going to have to activate your muscles and carry my bags to your car later. I have a few.” - you
“I’ll start warming them up.” - Joe joked
My mom laughed along with me and I couldn't feel any happier in that moment.
——
I knew Joe would cheer the boys on, but I didn't expect him to be jumping up, yelling, warning the defense when the other team was doing a pass play, and so much more.
This one time specifically, the game was kind of getting slow so I was falling asleep on Joe’s shoulder. My brother’s team got a touchdown and Joe abruptly jumped, waking me up in the process.
“Sorry, my love.” - Joe sat back down and pulled you back into his chest
The scene made me wonder about my future with Joe. Maybe one day we’ll be doing the same thing with our own son.
“I'm so proud of Tommy. He acts so maturely football-wise for his age.” - Joe
His statement sealed my previous thought. There will be a future for us, and maybe I'm right about us cheering on our future son.
——
Come halftime, my dad’s team was up 12-0.
“Joey.” - you nudged your boyfriend, who was deep into a conversation with your mom.
“Mhm?” - Joe
“Can you get me some hot chocolate from the concession stand?” - you
“Of course. I'll be right back. Do you want anything to snack on?” - Joe
“Mm, no I'm okay. Thank you! I love you!” - you
Joe stood up and moved the blanket onto me more before placing a kiss on my cheek.
“I love you too.” - Joe grinned and walked away
A few minutes later, Joe walked back with a drink carrier and a paper bag in his other hand.
“What is all of that?” - you laughed
He handed me and my mom a hot chocolate before setting one down for himself.
“You said you didn't want a snack but I know that means you wanted one.” - Joe handed you the bag
Gosh, he knew me so well. After giving Joe an appreciative smile I opened the bag to find three chocolate chip cookies.
“There was an older lady up there selling baked goods so I thought I'd snag a couple cookies. You can have one if you want to, y/m/n.” - Joe
“Well aren't you sweet.” - your mom took a cookie from you as you handed it to her
My mom happily munched on her cookie and I couldn't help but laugh at my own thoughts.
“What?” - Joe
“You're trying to impress my parents, huh?” - you
“Well, I’m taking you three hours away for a week! I want them to know you're safe staying at my place.” - Joe
That's probably what I'm most looking forward to out of this whole day. After the game is over, I'm going with Joe to Cincinnati where I'll be staying at his house for the week since it's their Bye.
“Joey, they already know that. I wouldn't be going if they didn't. Also, I'm an adult I can do what I want!” - you
“Babe. I know you're an adult. I just don't want them to be wary because I'm an older guy.” - Joe
“Joseph, you're seven years older stop acting like you're forty.” - you
Joe rolled his eyes but I scooted closer to him and threw the blanket over his lap.
“You're allowed to want to impress my parents, but don't feel like you have to. They love you, because I love you.” - you
My heart did pretty much the exact opposite of the rest of my body and warmed deeply when Joe placed a tiny kiss on the tip of my nose. It was a signal that he didn't know what to say back in the moment but appreciated my statement.
——
“Joe!” - Tommy ran out of the gate and up to Joe, who had his arms open for your brother
The team had won, thankfully and now we were all standing and waiting for the kids to get out of their post-game huddle.
I couldn't put into words how I felt when I watched Joe hug Tommy like his own brother. It was so sweet and I'd never felt so in love.
“You’ve got one good man, y/n.” - your mom
“I know.” - you grinned
My eyes drifted from my mom’s smiling face back down to my boyfriend, the love of my life, hyping up my little brother over a couple of his receptions.
That's when I knew Joe was the one.
The sun peeked through the curtains, illuminating the chest of the man in the bed next to you. His face was turned away from you, but you knew from the way he was sleeping and the scent on your pillow exactly who it was. Frank Castle. You didn’t remember much about last night but you did remember you had places to be, and so did he.
“Frankie, wake up.” You shook him gently, smiling softly at the hairs plastered to his forehead and the smile he always adorned when he realized it was you.
“What time is it?” He grumbled, rubbing his eyes and sitting up slowly, reaching around the end table for his phone.
“Late, c’mon we gotta go.”
You threw his shirt at him, hurriedly putting your own clothes on to make it to lunch with your mom on time. If it was up to her, she’d have invited Frank too, but it wasn’t. She pointed out one time that most friends don’t sleep in a bed together five days out of the week when they both have places to live, and every time you woke up next to him it was the only thing on your mind.
Frank was an attractive man, anyone with eyes could see that, and the what if was always there. But, he had a reputation. As did many other tattoo artists who were too attractive for their own good. You refused to be another notch in his belt, a one and done, someone he’d forget the second he came. In order for any of those things to be true, he had to be playing the long game, and you weren’t going to find out. No matter how many times you woke up with damp underwear from wet dreams of him, or the amount of times you caught yourself squeezing your thighs together when he was around.
“Where’s Frankie?” Was the first thing your mom asked when you arrived at the small cafe she had picked for lunch, you were convinced she’d rather have him as a child than you.
“He wasn’t invited to our mother-daughter lunch, momma.” You rolled your eyes playfully, giving her a warm hug and sitting opposite of her.
“Did he sleep with you?” She asked, nonchalantly, no doubt just trying to pry and see if you’d given in to his advances yet.
“Yes, and no we did not have sex. Premarital sex is a sin, momma.”
“You’re the phoneist christian I've ever met. I just don’t get it, both of you have feelings for each other. Just go out?” She took a sip of the tea in front of her, never breaking eye contact with you as you considered her words.
“You must hate me, I’m not getting my heart broken by some guy who could have any woman he wanted.” You shrugged, playing with the straw in the drink she had ordered for you.
“Men who plan on breaking a woman’s heart don’t typically live with them, or have relationships with their parents, or give them free expensive tattoos, or take them to the hospital when they’re too stubborn to go. I could keep going, honey.”
A part of you knew she was right, but the other, much bigger, part of you couldn’t help but let go of the anxiety that played in the back of your mind every time the thought of dating him came up. You’d rather shoot yourself in the foot than trust a man, even if this one had never done anything to make you doubt him or his words.
Frank Castle was one of the sweetest men you’d ever met, even if he looked big, bad and scary. He was covered in tattoos, head to toe, that he’d done probably seventy-five percent of, but you felt so incredibly safe with him. He was the one to take you to the hospital when your appendix burst and you swore it was just really bad pms, he argued that he’d been there for enough of your periods to know it wasn’t pms and you argued back that you lived through more periods than he had. He didn’t record you when you were high off the anesthesia because he knew your  biggest fear was saying something you would regret and then everyone seeing it.
He was the sweetest man you’d ever met.
But the reputation he accumulated before the two of you met haunted him every day, he’d take it all back if he could. If it would convince you that giving him a chance was worth the risk, to just know for sure you craved him how he craved you. He gladly took the slivers of your life that you allowed him to have, seared them in the back of his mind and vowed to never forget just in case you took it all away.
Three years ago you sat in his chair, nervous and unable to make eye contact with him, for your very first tattoo. Now you were littered in tattoos, all done by him, and he couldn’t be prouder. It was his own personal way of marking what was his, and it seemed to work because you hadn’t had a boyfriend since you met him. Frank beams with pride when he tells everyone you had a boyfriend at your first appointment and then showed up to your next one single, he tells everyone it was because of his ‘devilishly good looks’ but the thing he doesn’t know? He was right.
You left that appointment wetter than you’d ever been in your life, you’d had a boyfriend for a year and a half and he never even got you a fraction that turned on. You took the coldest shower of your life, trying to rid yourself of the impure thoughts of him only to fail and spend the rest of your shower desperately chasing a high you knew he’d be able to give you. You broke up with your boyfriend that same night.
summary: jj is coming to terms with her sexuality and slowly falling in love with you
JJ and I sat on the conference room, looking over old files. I had told her I was gonna be staying late tonight and she offered to stay with me, to keep me company and to help. It was really calm for the first hour until she broke the silence. "Y/n?"
"Yeah?" I looked up from my files, giving her my full attention.
"How did you know you were..." She trailed off, tapping her fingers against the table anxiously. "How did you know you were attracted to women?"
"Well...I was 15 and I realized that I felt the way for my best friend the way she felt for her boyfriend." I put my files down completely.
"Oh."
"Why'd you ask?"
"Just asking." She went back to looking at my files and my heart sank. I knew her relationship with her mom and I knew how religious her mom was. I didn't want to press her any further but I had a pretty good idea at what she was going through right now.
"Hey."
"Hm?"
"You can always talk to me...you know that right?"
"Yeah...I know."
We didn't talk for a few months after that and it hurt. I had never told anyone but I had been in love with her from the moment I saw her.
I was sitting at my desk, spinning around in my chair. It was 7pm and everyone had left around 2 hours ago. I was just about to get up to leave but then I heard the doors to the bullpen open. I saw that it was JJ and offered her a small smile. "Y/n." She stopped in her tracks. "I um...I need to talk to you."
"About what?" There had to be something wrong. She hadn't talked to me for 3 months and now she needed to.
"I...you remember when I asked you about how you knew that you were attracted to women?"
"Yeah." She took a few apprehensive steps towards me. "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"M-my mom found out."
"Oh JJ...Jayje I'm sorry." I immediately put everything down. "Do you need anything? A hug?"
"Yeah...I'll take a hug." I wrapped my arms around her tight, rubbing her back. "She doesn't get it."
"She doesn't have to."
"But I don't get it either. I don't understand why...how I haven't figured it out earlier, you know?" She started crying so I held her tighter. "But now...I really like this girl and it won't go away."
"I'm sorry to say it Jayje...but the feelings not going to go away, you know? It's not something that you can change. You're gonna have to learn to love yourself." I whispered, my heart dropping when I realized she liked someone else.
"How'd you do it?"
"It took a while." I admitted. "I had to have a lot of therapy and reassurance from my former partners."
"I don't have anyone to talk about it with though."
"You can talk to me."
A few more months go by and she didn't talk to me until she stopped me as I was leaving. I wanted to go home after a long case but I bumped into her while walking out of the bullpen. "Y/n."
"JJ." She hesitantly put her hands on my elbows, I couldn't tell if it was intentional or if she was just surprised to see me.
"Y/n..." She said again, trailing off this time. "I...I love you." Her voice was quiet but she corrected herself, saying it louder this time. "I love you. I want you to know that. Because I don't know when I'm going to have the confidence or feel the insecurity to say it another time. So...do...do whatever you want with that information but...I am very much in love with you-" I cut her off with a kiss, a passionate one.
"You have no idea how long I've been waiting for that." I whispered.
"You have?" She looked flustered, her cheeks a deep red.
"Of course." I caressed her cheeks. "Have you seen yourself?" She blushed even deeper.
"Y-you love me?"
"More than anything." I rested my forehead against hers, practically feeling her body melt into mine.
We just stood there for a second, relaxing against each other and living the moment. She was the first to pull away, tucking my hair behind my ears and leaning in for another kiss. "I love you."
"I love you too."
DOUMA X CHILD READER
(Douma goes more insane and attempts to murder all of the upper moons, not including muzan)
Tw:child murder, attempted murder, insanity,violence, cussing, decapitation, mentions of child abandonment, douma gets jumped
It was the dead of winter, and douma was walking back to his cult after finishing his battle with a hashira. When he heard a noise coming from a bush, he decided to investigate it, and when he looked into it, he saw a child curled up into a ball with a mess hair, messed up outfit while crying.
Douma didn't know what came over him he felt an emotion come over him, was it sadness, pity, he didn't know what it was but the one thing he did know what he had to help this child
"Oh, you poor little thing... where are your parents?"
"T-they're back at the house something came in and attacked us so I ran away...i went back to the house and when I went inside blood was everywhere and my mom and dad wouldn't wake up "
Douma pats the child's head, "There there no need to cry ill take care of you and I'll make sure no harms come your way"
"You promise...?"
"Promise. Now, what is your name, little one?"
"Y/n..."
"It's a pleasure to meet you. Y/n my name is Douma"
Months passed, and the bond between Y/n and Douma had gotten to the point where it was a father daughter relationship. Wherever Y/n is, Douma is with them and vice-versa. For the first time in Douma's life, he felt emotions and happy emotions. He didn't have to fake his smiles anymore they were all real. These were the best moments of his life. He had never felt so much happiness before in his life. He never wanted to lose his child. He wanted to be with his child for the rest of all of eternity.
"Y/N!, Y/N!, WHERE ARE YOU?...that's weird they usually come running to me when I call them"
*Douma gets teleported to the infinity castle*
"OH!, a meeting did one of us die?"
"No, now shut the fuck up douma"
"Meanie"
"HOW LOVELY IT IS TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN, how long has it's been since we last say eachother?, 20 years?"
"I-its b-been 50 years, si-ir gyokko"
Before they could continue their conversation, muzan appeared, and the meeting started. They discussed (whatever you think they would discuss) once the meeting ended, muzan called Douma
"Douma"
"Yyeesss~"
"Listen to me and listen well, you may be upper moon 2, but as of right now and everything you have failed to do. You are nothing but a disappointment and a useless upper moon"
muzan lifts his hand, nakime plays her biwa, and in muzan's hand appeared Y/n's decapitated head
"So don't think you can go and do whatever you want"
Douma stood there in shock, trying to understand what he was looking at. Was this a dream it had to be a dream? There is no way that his child is dead. That's not their head. That's someone else's head. Tears slowly come out of Douma's eyes. his body realizes what he is looking at, but his mind is telling him otherwise. He felt a new emotion, but he didn't like this feeling at all he wanted to disappear to never come back.
"Y-y/n...."
Muzan drops y/n's head. Before it could splat on the floor, Douma runs and catches their head and cruls up into a ball while still holding their hand shaking
"Next time you do something like this, it will be your head"
Muzan leaves, and now it's just Douma holding his child's head while the rest of the upper moons, including nakime, just stare at him
"HA, IMAGINE TAKING CARE OF A PATHETIC HUMAN CHILD JUST HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE DOUMA"
"Daki, please"
"She's right, douma hasn't done anything properly his entire time being an upper moon-"
Before akaza could continue talking, multiple icicles come at akaza, pinning him against a wall they all look at douma, seeing him now standing up, still holding the child's head, his eyes red and puffing, tear staining his face, his eyes had nothing but rage and hated in them.
Douma walks to a conner, and he places y/n's head in the conner and makes an ice wall around their head. He whips out his fans, and he goes on a rampage attacking everyone. He knocked and terribly injured uppermoons 6-3, including nakime, who was trying her hardest to regenerate her limbs as Douma's ice had slowed her regeneration.
The only demon that was left was upper moon 1, Kokushibo.
"All this, just because of a human child"
"THAT HUMAN CHILD WAS MY CHILD, I TOOK CARE OF THEM, GAVE THEM A HOME, PLENTY OF FOOD, EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED. YOU WOULDNT UNDERSTAND THE PAIN IM FEELING AFTERALL YOU LEFT YOUR CHILDREN!"
The fight continued, and Douma was able to pin Kokushibo on the ground. Right when Douma was about to cut off Kokushibo's head but one of gyutaro's bloody sickles chopped of both of Douma's arms, then daki's belt was about to chop off Douma's head but he was able to dogde the attack, only to get attacked by the 4 hantengu clones at once, then his body was poisoned by gyokko's fishes making him unable to move, Kokushibo and Akaza both attacked Douma using their strongest attacks finally defeating the rampaging Douma and he was struggling to regenerate.
"AAAAAHHHH,FUCK YOU ALL, IF THOSE DAMN SLAYERS DONT KILL YOU ALL, THEN I WILL. ILL DRAG YOU ALL TO THE DEEPEST PART OF HELL"
"You'll be there long before we get there"
"I don't mind waiting for a few hundred years"
Douma opened his eyes, and his surroundings were dark. All pitch black, he looked down at his hands, he didn't see his long sharp fingernails and didn't feel any demonic power going through him. Before he could continue his thoughts, he felt something grab his leg.
"SIR DOUMA I FOUND YOU!"
"Y/N!"
Douma gives Y/n a hug while crying
"Sir Douma, I got so scared I was in my room playing when a man with black hair wearing a suit came in, and I've been here ever since....where are we did that man get you too?"
"There is no need to worry all that matters is that we are together and we will be together forever"
"Sir Douma, why is there fire over there?
"That's where we'll have to go. Are you ready, Y/n?"
Douma puts his hand out for Y/n to grab
"READY!"
Both Douma and Y/n walk towards the fire while Y/n was babbling about her day before the attack.
I really do hope you all enjoyed this and again if you have any advice feel free to say just don't be a bitch or rude about
Have a great day/afternoon/night
Get the Angles Right!
chapter 4.
masterlist.
pairing:
Johnnie Guilbert x Fem!Reader.
warnings:
mentions of death and cancer.
Tumblr media
"What's next on your list?" Johnnie adjusted his shirt as you walked out of the cafe.
you looked up at the sky. dark storm clouds were starting to come in. "There's this old park that no one goes to anymore. it's rusty as shit, but it's where I go whenever I need it to be quiet. I guess you could say I go here to think." You sighed, "I'm not sure if we should go, though. it's about to rain. I don't want you to catch a cold."
"I don't mind the rain, don't worry. Lead the way." he glanced up at the sky before turning to you. "You know what's funny?"
you hummed, "What?"
"I haven't seen a single fucking child the couple days I've been here. like, anywhere." he had a small smile on his face as he turned his attention back to the sidewalk.
"damn. i never really thought about that. I guess this city is so bad that parents don't want their kids out. I mean, I see them, but not often." You smirked. "they're going extinct in NYC. the last ones left are a tourist attraction."
Johnnie let out a giggle. "What, do people throw bananas at them or some shit?"
"probably." you shook your head. "anyway, I used to always play in the rain as a kid. it's so fucking cheesy." you laughed. "My mom would drag me inside by my ear and make me take a shot of nyquil 'just to be safe.' I hated that shit. I mean, I guess it worked." he giggled.
a few minutes later, you made it to the park. you took a seat on one of the swings and Johnnie set next to you.
"I wanna show you something." you said, slipping your bag off of your shoulder and setting it in the wood chips.
he looked down and watched as you pulled a small notebook out of your bag. "What is it?"
"it's my mom's. this was the very last sketch book she used before she passed." You stared at the civer before hanging it to Johnnie.
"Can I look through it?" his eyebrows were furrowed together anxiously.
"Yeah, go ahead." You gently pushed yourself on the swing. "she was on her death bed, still sketching away. I came to visit and check on her. I mean, she knew she was dying, and she was okay with it. I think that's what makes her death even more devastating to me. anyway, she knew she didn't have much left, so she gave me it and told me to make her proud. I've never cried harder than I did that night." You rubbed your eye, trying to prevent tears from spilling out of your eyes. "Anyway, sorry for being depressing. I think there are some really fucking cool designs in there."
"you don't have to be sorry for that, y/n." he muttered as he slowly flipped through the pages. "I see where you get your talent from."
you blushed, "i- thank you."
he looked at you and smiled. "she sounds like a great person. I'm sorry you had to lose her."
you tried to shrug it off. you didn't want to cry in front of him. "cancers a bitch." you laughed quietly.
he set the book in his lap and took your hand. he continued to flip through it with one hand. "My dad had cancer, too."
"Really?" You finally looked at him. you admired his features as he looked at the notebook.
he never looked back at you. "Yeah. that's not how he went out, though. he actually went out with a bang." he laughed softly.
"Oh, oh." You hesitated, realizing what he meant. "I mean, that's a way to go out."
he nodded. "I make jokes about my dad all the time. it still hurts sometimes, but it's okay now."
"Thank you for telling me. I mean, really. we met like, two days ago and were telling each other our life stories."
his eyes met yours. he smiled. "I've never really been able to open up to someone this much." his hand squeezed yours.
"Yeah, me either. honestly, I don't talk to anyone. I have a couple of friends around town, but we don't talk." You scratched your neck.
"that sucks, I'm really fucking sorry." he handed the book back to you. you shoved it back in your bag.
you felt a drop of rain hit your nose. "it's starting to rain. we should probably go. the next place I want to show you is just up the street. we shouldn't be out long."
he nodded. "Okay." his hand left yours, and you stood up. you lit your cigarette, taking a puff before passing it to Johnnie. "Wow, you didn't forget your lighter this time." he teased
"Yeah, whatever." You rolled your eyes. "There's this thrift store, and then we can head back. does that sound good?"
he nodded, "Yeah, whatever you wanna do."
"im sorry, has this been boring?" you asked him, turning your head to face him.
"No, no." he shook his head. "im having a lot of fun. these places are really interesting."
"okay, just checking. sorry. anyway, this is where I usually get my fabric and shit from. I always find the cutest patterns."
"thats sick." he responded.
"What do you miss about LA?" you asked, taking a step closer to him.
"My guitar." he answered. "I play it almost every day. i kinda just get trapped in it, you know?"
"You play guitar?" you asked, amused. "that's sexy as fuck. I've always wanted to learn." You tried to ignore the compliment you let slip.
he stuttered. "I- uhm, thank you." his face turned red. "Maybe come visit me in LA, and I'll teach you."
"Maybe I will." You nudged his shoulder. "I've wanted to travel to LA for a while now, I just have been focusing on my business."
"im sure there are just as many opportunities in LA as there are here, but I don't know." he laughed.
"I'll keep that in mind." You opened the door of the shop and walked in. "you know, we should probably get an umbrella." you mentioned.
"good idea."
you scanned through the racks and found a fluffy zebra print jacket. your head started flooding with ideas for johnnie. you held it up to his body. the white and black complimented his eyes and all. "what do you think? I mean, about the pattern. not the ugly ass jacket itself." you clarified.
"I've never really worn zebra print." he felt the soft fabric.
"you'll look so fucking good, oh my god." you gushed before regaining your composure. "I have an idea. I think you'll like it."
"if you make it, I will." he smiled.
you hummed. "I'll keep that in mind."
Hearts Unleashed (Part 1)
Pairing: Nick Nelson x Black!fem!reader
Warning: Fluff, Smut in later chapters, Body Shaming
Words: 2234
Please interact and comment to keep it going. I always love to know what you think.
Tumblr media
"What does this mean?" I stared at the piece of paper clutched tightly in my hand. My mom's eyes held an unmistakable unease as she replied, her voice tinged with worry, "This is our plane ticket to England."
Excitement bubbled up inside me as I glanced at the tickets. "We're going to England for a vacation! I had a feeling this year would be different. Do you think we can visit Paris while we're there? I heard it's just a quick train ride away."
My mom chuckled nervously, her laughter quivering. "That's the thing, honey, this isn't just a vacation; it's permanent."
My brows furrowed as I examined the ticket more closely, finally noticing the bold "ONE WAY" printed in the upper right corner. "What do you mean, one way?" Confusion washed over me, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"It means we'll be officially moving to England. I applied for a new job there, and I got it," my mom explained as if it were the most natural thing in the world. She saw the panic in my eyes and hurriedly added, "I understand it's sudden, but I think this will be a great change for us. I've even found a fantastic school with an amazing film program that I know you'll love."
My mind raced. "I don't even know what to say. Why are you telling me this now?" My whole life was here in America, and the idea of packing up and moving to another country was almost too much to bear.
"Honey, I know it's sudden, but they called me today, and they need me to start immediately. That's why we have to leave tomorrow."
"Tomorrow! I don't even have time to pack, let alone say goodbye to my friends. We can't just uproot ourselves from LA and head to England." I looked around our apartment, a cozy haven that had been my home for the past seven years. It felt like things were finally getting back to normal.
I glanced at the ticket again and saw the fine print: Departing from LAX tomorrow at 10:45 am. "I should really start wearing my glasses," I muttered under my breath.
My mom tried to reassure me, "Everything will work out fine. I've hired movers to come during the week and help ship the rest of our stuff. Tonight, all we need to do is pack our personal things and head to the airport first thing in the morning."
I felt like I wanted to argue, but then I saw how tired my mom looked. Her face seemed really worn out, and she had a tired look in her eyes. It made me realize that maybe I hadn't been paying enough attention to how she was feeling lately.
I decided not to bring up my concerns because I didn't want to make things worse. I didn't want to fight with my mom when she already seemed so tired and stressed. So, I chose to keep quiet and let it go for now, even though I still had my worries.
As we stepped off the plane in London, the dark grey skies clouded my vision, and the unfamiliar air filled my lungs. Instantly, I began to miss home. With half of my life packed away in two large suitcases and three duffel bags, this was definitely going to take some getting used to.
"Have your other bags arrived yet?" my mom asked, her eyes darting to the time on her wrist.
"Sorry for making you wait," I replied with a sigh. "When you're packing your whole life into a bag, it tends to take a while." I was far from being in a good mood after only managing to grab a couple of hours of sleep, spending one of them writing an overly dramatic paragraph to my friends about where I'd be for the next few years.
"There's no need to get sassy with me, Y/n," my mom chided. "I'm just worried about the time. I don't want to be late for the shuttle. If we miss this one, the next won't be for another three hours. And I'm sure you don't want to spend that much time at the airport."
Before I could respond, I spotted my color-coded bags moving slowly along the conveyor belt. I collected them and loaded them onto a trolley, then couldn't help but add a mockingly sweet tone, "Now, we can go."
My mom led the way to the shuttle, looking a bit lost in the bustling airport. She approached a stranger for directions, and I listened intently, realizing I needed to get used to the distinct accent. My mom thanked the stranger urgently, and we hurriedly made our way to catch the shuttle, leaving behind the life I'd known in America.
Arriving at our new home in England I couldn't help that there was a mix of excitement and trepidation. I had seen pictures of the place, but it was entirely different to stand in front of it, knowing that it was going to be our home for the foreseeable future. My mom, ever the optimist, had put in tremendous effort to ensure it was the best flat on the block.
As we approached the building, I noticed the quaint charm of the neighborhood. Rows of terraced houses with colorful front doors lined the cobblestone streets. It was a far cry from the sunny, palm tree-lined avenues of Los Angeles that I had called home.
My mom had informed me earlier that her new job had provided relocation money, and she had spent hours researching and visiting potential flats to find one that met all our needs. She was determined to make this transition as smooth as possible for me, especially since I wasn't exactly thrilled about changing schools.
The flat itself was a cozy two-bedroom apartment on the top floor of a charming Victorian building. It had large windows that let in plenty of natural light, and I could see the spires of an old church in the distance. The living room had plush sofas, and I could just imagine the walls being adorned with artwork from home. She had even managed to find a flat with a small balcony where we could enjoy tea on sunny afternoons.
As we stepped inside, I couldn't help but be impressed by how homely it felt, despite being in a foreign country. My room, though smaller than what I was used to, had a window overlooking the quiet street below. I packed some of my posters and photographs from our life in LA, making it feel like a small piece of home.
As I unpacked my belongings, I couldn't help but reflect on the whirlwind of changes that had brought us here. My parents' divorce had been a long and sometimes painful process, but with me finishing up middle school, it seemed like the right time for a fresh start.
In my mom's perspective, this move was a chance for something new and exciting, a way to turn the page on a difficult chapter in our lives. But for me, I felt like I was just along for the ride, caught up in the decisions made by the adults in my life. It wasn't easy to accept that we were starting over in a completely different country.
While I tried to look on the bright side, I couldn't shake the feeling that my mom should have told me about it much sooner. The truth was that I was still deeply hurt and confused.
But as I glanced out the window of our new flat and saw the quaint streets of our new neighborhood, I knew that, in time, I would find my place in this new chapter of our lives. Change might not come overnight, but I was determined to make the most of it and find the silver lining in our fresh start.
—-----
A whole week had passed, and I swear my boredom had reached Olympic levels. Our furniture from LA finally showed up a few days ago, and let me tell you, I became the world champion of room redecorating in record time. But apart from that impressive feat, my life had all the excitement of a cardboard box. School isn't kicking off until Monday, which gives me a gentle nudge that I should probably check out the film program my mom's been raving about.
Feeling all organized and responsible, I sat down and sketched out the route from our place to the school. It's like a 20-minute walk, which I can totally handle once I get the hang of it. But if I'm feeling a bit lazy (which happens, like, all the time), there's a nifty 10-minute bus ride option. Plus, my mom's still knee-deep in paperwork to send our car overseas, so it's official I'm becoming a bus pro.
Then I checked out the school's website, and the film program doesn't look half bad. They've got this YouTube channel packed with short films that are more interesting than binge-watching cat videos. And here's the real kicker they've got a partnership with Netflix! I mean, seriously, how did they manage to pull that off? They're talking about workshops and internships, and I'm just here thinking,
"Who's the magician that got Netflix on board?" That seriously is impressive.
Looking out of the window, I couldn't believe my luck the sun was actually shining for once! After days of nothing but gray skies, it felt like a small miracle. I was starting to understand that sunny days were a rare commodity in this place. So, I thought, why not make the most of it while I could?
I swapped out my usual outfit for a pair of comfy shorts and a cool graphic tee. In a flash, I was out the door, ready to savor every bit of that precious sunshine.
As I continued my stroll through the neighborhood, I stumbled upon a charming park nestled amidst the houses. The sunlit meadow was dotted with people, and what caught my eye was the number of folks out and about with their dogs. It was becoming evident that this was definitely a big dog-loving community, and the park was their social hub.
I watched as playful pups frolicked, tails wagging with unbridled enthusiasm, and their owners chatted amicably, forming a tight-knit community within the community. It felt heartwarming to witness such camaraderie, and I couldn't help but smile at the sight.
I stumbled upon the perfect photo opportunity, one that would fit perfectly in my collection. I'd forgotten my camera at home, but my trusty phone would have to do. As I aimed to capture the moment, an unexpected collision sent my phone tumbling to the ground.
Before I could get a word out, the other person beat me to the punch. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going," he said, hastily bending down to retrieve both of our phones. It turned out he had dropped his phone as well.
I felt a flush of embarrassment creeping up. "No, no, it's alright. It was my fault for standing right in the middle of the walkway," I replied, cheeks tinged with a hint of red.
He handed back my phone with an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that. Hopefully, it didn't crack," he said, his own cheeks taking on a shade of pink.
I shook my head, trying to conceal my own embarrassment. "No big deal. You might have done me a favor, actually. It's about time I got a new phone, and this could be the perfect excuse," I quipped, waving my phone playfully. The boy chuckled warmly.
"Thanks for not making me feel awful about it," he admitted, appearing relieved. "I'm Charlie, by the way." He extended his hand, and I shook it with a friendly smile.
I responded, "I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you, Charlie." The friendly atmosphere that had enveloped us earlier seemed to dissipate, leaving an awkward silence in its wake.
Charlie finally broke the silence, his voice tinged with shyness. "Sorry, but I can't help but notice the accent..."
I smiled, realizing his curiosity. "Oh yeah, I'm from America. We just moved here last week, right down the block," I stated, hoping to ease the awkwardness.
Charlie's eyes lit up with excitement. "Right down the block! I live right down that way." I couldn't help but feel my own excitement grow.
"I live where the new flats were built, I think they're called the Avalone Suites or something," I mentioned. Charlie's face instantly lit up with recognition.
"I live right across from you! Everyone around the block has been raving about the new building," he exclaimed,
As Charlie and I walked back to my apartment, he chatted animatedly about the neighborhood, sharing tidbits about the local shops, nearby parks, and the best places to grab a bite. It was clear he was friendly and genuinely excited to have a new neighbor.
During our conversation, we made another delightful discovery – we were both going to the same school. It was a pleasant surprise that eased my earlier concerns about not knowing anyone in this new place.
By the time we reached my apartment building, Charlie had almost talked my ear off, but I didn't mind one bit. With a warm smile, I turned to him and said, "Thanks for walking me back, Charlie. I guess I won't be starting school completely alone."
Charlie grinned in response; his eyes filled with genuine friendliness. "Anytime, Y/N. I'm looking forward to seeing you at school."
We added each other on each other's socials before we parted ways.
Mom let me walk to the corner store by myself this time!
My tight tank top and jeans shorts are a little revealing,and kina short,but I'm okay,
Right?
I feel eyes on my back so I turn,
No ones there?
Hm,must be by imagination.
Hello!
"hey sweetie,where's your mom?"
I've known this cashier my whole life,
He's basically a family member
Mom's at home,she sent me for a big girl drink and something for myself for being so brave!
"sweetie,I can't serve you this without an I.d."
Mom told me to get it for her! She'll get mad if I don't get it!
"Don't worry,I'm sure your mature enough,here follow me."
I follow him,through the employees only door.
They had a ton of cameras,but not in the office.
"you wanted to buy your mom a big girl drink?"
Yes sir!
I heard a zipper,
And a belt coming undone.
"have you done things with boys yet?"
He still hasn't turnt around.
No sir.
"Good then I'll teach you.."
He turns around and faces me,
His man part in his hand,ta bigger then his hand,
And it's hard
And why do I want it?
Why are my panties wet?
"Stick your tongue out..."
Some part of me knew this was wrong,
I more then knew it was wrong,
But I stuck my tongue out and looked up at him.
He set the tip on my tongue,
And slowly slid back.
"close your mouth,don't you dare let your teeth touch my dick baby.."
I tried, I really tried,
But he was to big.
He yanked my head off.
"Stand up,bend over the desk honey."
I did as I was told
Then I realized how short my shorts were.
"Did you do this on purpose?"
His thumb rubbed over the wet spot on my shorts.
Then he moved them aside.
And slid his thumb in me.
I jerked forward,I've never felt this,
I've never done this.
I should stop this,stop him right now.
But...
I didn't want to..
"Baby your so tight.. you really haven't touched any boys huh.."
No..no sir
I shake my head,I've never touched or seen a boy I liked.
"I want you to breathe..I promise you'll be okay."
I feel it
Sliding up and down my pussy..
Toying with my clit with each slide and press
His tip barely reaches my entrance,
I don't think I can do kt
No I can't do it..
"Breathe in baby.."
I did as told,and felt him push the first inch in
He was thick,I couldn't do it no I couldn't do it
Sir stop..you're to big..
"shh,I'll make it go away.."
I whine as he slides in another inch.
I feel the first tear slide down my cheek
It's to much ,he's to big,I can't do it.
Sir stop it..please..please stop it..
"you sound so pretty begging,it'll feel better,I promise."
He pulls out and turns me around,sitting on top of the desk.
He puts those two inches in again,I look down to see I have so much more to go.
"Baby your so tight..I'm barely inside,you have to relax."
No I don't want more,stop it!
I push at his chest,to get him off
To make him go away.
But he pinned my hands down,and shoved another inch inside.
"Just fucking hold still."
He held my hands behind my back,and shoved the rest of his cock inside me.
Ow!Stop!stop!it hurts! stop!
He moved his hips hard and fast
The pain stopped,and then I wanted more
So much more.
"jus like that baby,good girl."
I knew it was wrong,I knew I was crying,I knew I wanted him to stop.
But I didn't ,I didn't want him to stop,he felt so good inside me.
His palm came down roughly on my thigh
I jumped at the sting.
"Your pussy squeezed me baby,you like that?You like the pain,down you?"
He pulled out again and flipped me back over,he wasn't so this time,he sank in easily.
"your pussys taking me so good.."
He smacked my ass,
I til it hurt,
My belly felt warm,My clit throbbed.
Sir,please..
He yanked my hair and sank to the hilt,
He filled me,I felt it inside me.
My body broke as the warm feeling left me.
"Babygirl,your little pussy feels so good..I don't want to pull out."
Don't ..don't don't don't..
We stayed like that,he was still hard inside me.
Sir..what did we just do..was that..
"yes baby..you want it again?"
Yes..yes please..more..
I moan
I screamed in that office all night.
Mom didn't let me go out again alone after that.
But I had a little souvenir sliding down my thighs on my way home.
And I got my drink!!<33
Okay. Just Astarion fluff. Tavi is one of my OCs and just... yeah. She's a mom. So. Do what you will with that information.
Total WC: 2.8k
“You write an awful lot of letters, you know.” Tavi gasped as Astarion had crept up behind her and let out the breath she had taken in so quickly, hand over her racing heart. “Perhaps a curse of being a bard? So many words to get out, so little time.”
“Gods, Astarion. Just because you're good at sneaking about doesn't mean you should,” she murmured, shifting another piece of paper on top of what she'd been writing. His brow rose and he smirked.
“Ooh, a secret letter? To a lover back home, no doubt,” he teased. To his surprise she merely rolled her eyes, not a speck of pink to be seen on her freckled cheeks. “No? I find that quite hard to believe, darling. As far as high elves go, and I should know, you're stunning.”
“Contrary to popular belief, bards do not have beaus in every major city,” Tavi said with a small huff as she folded the letter away. He watched as she carefully rolled it and sealed it with wax. “Family. If you must know.”
Astarion hummed with amusement, analyzing her every movement. Tavi was young by elven standards at only 120 years old. Just about half his age. And gods, was she beautiful. Of course he'd felt lust for others before of his own volition, but her wit and way with words was slowly wearing him down. He was curious of her; so open in many aspects of her life but her family, apparently. Then again, they'd only met a ten-day past.
The next few days seemed to fly as they prepared to rescue the druid Halsin and destroy the goblin camp. A perfectly good waste of their time, in his opinion, but his thoughts on the matter were easily outweighed. The party afterwards, however… he had to admit some good came of it. His words were practiced as he wooed her with the promise of a mind blowing night of love making and, though she saw through it, make love they did. There was a stirring in him now that he couldn't shake, especially on the nights where she offered herself to him freely to feed from. Objectively a bad idea, but of course he wouldn't turn it down.
The next time he saw her writing after destroying the goblin camp it was obvious she was upset. Her writing was faster, her brow furrowed as she focused. He smirked as he realized the opportunity he had and crept up behind her again. He had only gotten a glimpse of the name before her arm swung out and connected with his face. She turned and gasped as she saw it was Astarion and hurried her apologies, standing to look over his face with concern.
“I am so, so sorry. Are you alright? Gods, I've been so jumpy lately,” she apologized, her hand on his cheek. He chuckled and shook his head.
“I should have seen that coming. I'm sorry, darling,” he said smoothly, his hand coming up to smooth the crease from between her brows. He knew she trusted him, so why he felt the need to play the long game, he wasn't sure. And if he wasn't playing… well, that was something he didn't want to think about. “Working on a new song?” He played dumb, though not dumb enough, apparently.
“How much of it were you able to read before I clocked you?” She asked, her mouth a flat line and her single eyebrow questioning him. He had been caught out. Underneath the annoyance there was some other emotion. Worry, obviously. But anxiety?
“Just the name. Aurelia. Quite a pretty name. Sister? Mother? Aunt?” He went on guessing, his self-assuredness beginning to peter off as a softer look of melancholy replaced her previous annoyance. She shook her head and took a slightly unsteady breath. Taking his hands she sat on the log again, guiding him to sit down with her.
“My daughter.”
-
“Your… what?” Had he heard her right? Her daughter. She had a daughter in Baldur's Gate. A child. Astarion's throat felt tight in contrast to his wide expression. He was sleeping with a woman who had a child. He blinked a little as he tried to gather words for this. As far as he knew, no one else at camp knew. Not even Karlach, who, for all intents and purposes, was Tavi's best friend.
“My daughter. Aurelia. And… I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner.” Her expression was sad, with a tinge of regret and he immediately decided he didn't like it. Not one bit. Yes, this was all to gain her trust but…
“No, it's… I understand. To a degree, anyways. I mean,” he gave a short laugh, confused. “We've all confided in you now about our struggles. But no one but me knows this now.” He took her hand that was shaking a little and held it.
“I didn't…” she shook her head. “Everyone else is dealing with so much already. And my daughter is safe with my parents. Somehow I became the de facto leader of this band of misfits and I need to be there for everyone.” It clicked for Astarion as he noted the slight bags under her eyes. Everyone went to Tavi with their worries and woes, but who did she go to?
“Darling, I may not be a genius on interpersonal relationships, but one cannot pour from an empty cup.” His words were soft as he noticed the way her eyes began to glisten slightly. She took a steadying breath and turned her head to wipe at her eye.
“I also didn't say anything because I… I don't want you to feel obligated, or… gods, I don't know what I'm saying now,” she laughed, thought it was watery as she sniffed and took her hand back to wipe at both of her eyes. He found himself bringing his own hand to her cheek and cupping it, his thumb brushing away an errant tear.
“It's… alright. I honestly don't blame you,” he murmured, feeling that stirring again as she closed her eyes and leaned into his touch. Well, shit. She opened her eyes and gave him a sweet, lopsided smile. Shit, shit, shit. “The idea could… grow on me. But,” he shifted gears, gently grasping her chin. “This means you're not allowed to bottle things up anymore. If I'm not allowed to, you're certainly not either.” She giggled and nodded and he could feel its infectious nature. “I do have some questions.”
Tavi nodded, her hand naturally finding his as they sat by the fire. “Of course. I wouldn't ask you to accept this part of me blindly.” Gods, did she have to be so adorable?
“First. Well, her name is Aurelia. Which is beautiful. Second. How old is she?” Tavi rubbed the back of her neck, her cheeks flushing lightly.
“She's eight. And she looks almost just like me. She just doesn't have as many freckles,” she said, smiling now that she was able to talk about her daughter freely.
“Third. Her father?” Her shift from a smile to a slight scowl told him volumes.
“Is a twat and I haven't seen him in seven years. He left just after I had Aurelia. It was… rough. I mean, I was one hundred and seventeen. We'd only been together for a year,” she said. Her hand tightened around Astarion's subconsciously. “My parents… they were upset at first, obviously, when I told them. But, they love her so much it's hard to tell they were ever upset about it.” A loving, caring family. It was unfamiliar territory for Astarion. Though, he found an anger rising in his chest towards Tavi's previous partner. How could he just abandon her like that? With a newborn?
“He sounds like a real charmer. Perhaps it's better he's gone, though I would love to meet him,” he murmured, his distaste evident. Tavi grinned and leaned in, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“See? I told you the other day. You're sweet when you want to be.” Gods, she was going to be the second death of him. He caught her face before she moved away and smirked as she saw the shift of emotion in her eyes.
“Would my sweet little treat like to see just how sweet I can be?” He purred, grinning as he heard her breath catch. In a split second her lips were on his.
-
“Finally, away from everyone for a godsdamned minute,” Astarion mumbled to himself as he roamed around the shops and market stalls of the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. Despite the joy of his current freedom, his thoughts consistently drifted back to Tavi. He was, despite his original intentions, hopelessly in love with her. They had destroyed Cazador in his lair. They solved the murder of that stupid clown. He shuddered at the memory and pushed it away as quickly as possible.
He wandered down familiar streets in a new and figurative light, feeling calmer and happier than he ever remembered being. This… brightness. It was contagious now. When she smiled, he smiled. She felt like a balm to his heart. Warmth in the purest form. He eyed a jewelers case and the precious things within it. A silver chain with an emerald pendant caught his eye and he smiled softly. This would do. It was understated, but brilliant nonetheless. Just like Tavi.
“Grandpa! This one! Mama would love this,” a little elven girl piped up, coming up next to Astarion at the case. She pointed excitedly at the necklace he had just been eyeing and at first he was going to tell her paws off but then he really looked at her. It… no, surely…
The girl looked up at him and it was as if Tavi was staring at him. The same eyes. The same hair. Less freckles, just like Tavi described her. “Hi! You look nice,” she said with a toothy grin. An older elf hurried over, a look of concern on his face as he apologized for his granddaughters behavior.
“Aurelia.” The name slipped from his mouth before he realized. She smiled even brighter while her grandfather paled before his face became stern.
“Now sir, I don't know how you-”
“I-I'm sorry, sir, I know this seems like a one in a million chance meeting, but I've been traveling with Tavi for the past two months to get back here to Baldur's Gate,” Astarion rushed to explain, not bothering to mask the astonishment at their chance meeting. Aurelia gasped and tugged on her grandfather's coat.
“Grandpa, this is Mr. Astarion! He's got the white hair and fancy coat and everything!” She turned excitedly towards Astarion who, if he could, would have been blushing. “Were you looking at that necklace for mama? Did you two fall in love?” Well, there was her mother's quick wit. “Mama said pretty jewelry like that is nice for special occasions! So I wanted to get it for her when she comes home.” Gods, his heart was melting. He was not overly fond of children simply because he didn't know how to deal with them, per se, but… how could anyone have walked away from Tavi? From Aurelia? He noticed her grandfather looking at him with scrutinizing eyes and cleared his throat a little.
“I, um, yes. I was. I found it complimented her eyes quite nicely.” He saw her grandfather nod just a little, an almost knowing smile on his face though, of course, he knew his… physical characteristics were of concern. There was no doubt he knew precisely what he was and who he was. “I was unaware your mama told you about me in her letters,” he said offhandedly.
Her grandfather gave a small chuckle and clapped his hand on Astarion's shoulder. “Like mother like daughter. Hardly any filter. We… hadn't gotten word from her that she’s back.” Astarion smiled awkwardly.
“We just arrived from Rivington. I have no doubt there's probably a letter waiting for you at home or will be within a day. There are…” Astarion looked over to Aurelia who was talking amiably now with the shop keeper and picking out the emerald pendant necklace. “... a few things we need to get in order before we find residence for the night. I’m not sure how much detail Tavi put into her letters for you.” The older elf nodded and removed his hand. He paid the merchant what was owed for the necklace and Aurelia held it in its small box close to her chest.
“Okay! You have to tell mama that we’re waiting at home for her,” she said adamantly. She fumbled the box as she held out her hand and her pinky finger stuck out. “Pinky promise, Mr. Astarion!” Astarion chuckled under his breath and knelt to her level. He linked his pinky with hers.
“Of course, Miss Aurelia. You have my word. And,” he poked the box, making her giggle. “Your mama is going to be very happy you picked that necklace for her.”
-
Due to their notoriety within Baldur's Gate at the present moment, it had been decided that Aurelia, along with Tavi's parents, would go to their camp to visit. Tavi paced as she waited, her anxiety winning out over the reassurances from her traveling companions and even Astarion. Scratch followed her for a while before deciding to rest, the pacing even being too much for him.
“My darling, they'll be here soon,” Astarion attempted to soothe her again, intercepting her with a gentle embrace. Since he learned of her daughter, she had slowly told the rest of their traveling party about her. Of course they were excited to meet her but all agreed they needed their space for a family reunion first. She sighed and finally stopped pacing, resting her head on his shoulder.
“I know. I just miss my baby,” she murmured, wrapping her arms around his waist. Astarion hummed and gently rubbed her back.
“I know, love. And she's missed you. And… I happen to know she has a thoughtful gift for you,” he teased softly. Tavi brought her head up, smiling and narrowing her eyes at him. She gave him a small kiss.
“You two are going to be a handful under the same roof,” she chuckled. Astarion's brow quirked up with a smile as she alluded to their future together. Her face shifted as she heard a small voice yelling. She let go of him and turned to the road and whimpered before breaking into a sprint.
“Mama!!!” Aurelia cried, running as fast as her legs would carry her. Tavi called for her and ran faster than Astarion had ever seen and he followed after her at a slower pace. The two met and Tavi went to her knees, both of them crying as she held her daughter tight. Not far behind her parents followed, all of them crying now. Astarion stood by for a moment awkwardly before seeing Tavi's arm reach for him as well. He gave in and went to them, letting her pull him in.
“Thank you,” she whispered to him, her smile bright despite her fresh tear tracks.
Aurelia looked up and smiled, too. She still tried to speak through her uneven speech. “Th-thank you for bringing my mama home, Mr. Astarion.”
-Bonus-
Tavi's parents were in an engaging conversation with Wyll and Shadowheart as she sat next to Astarion by the fire. She leaned against him, a pretty necklace now adorning her neck as they watched Karlach and Halsin taking turns to give Aurelia piggy back rides.
“So. You knew she picked this out?” She asked Astarion softly, looking up at him from his shoulder. He hummed and held her a little tighter.
“I said we met in a shop. It may have been a jewelers. And we both saw it and thought of you,” he said softly, his hand coming up to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear. She giggled and leaned up, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “After realizing who I was, of which I had absolutely no idea she knew who I was, she asked me if we fell in love. In front of your father, by the way. Who immediately realized I was a vampire.”
Tavi blushed lightly and laughed. “Well, the apples don't fall far from the trees,” she shrugged. He rolled his eyes and kissed her gently. They pulled away as they heard Aurelia shout from the top of Mama K's shoulders.
“Grandma! Grandpa! See! I knew it! I told you they fell in love!” Astarion groaned gently, hiding his face in her shoulder. Tavi pressed a kiss to the top of his head as plenty of the other adults laughed.
“Welcome to the family, love.”
Feel free to skip. TW: I'm joining the military.
Growing up is really hard, and I don't think we realize that until we're on the verge of a big change, standing on the border between two parts of your life, balancing on a precipice before you take the swan dive known to many as change.
I'm packing my things. My dad finally brought home boxes and storage tubs and I'm finally packing my things, and that makes the passage of time so much more real.
I'm packing my things. My mom opened the door to tell me to watch my sleeping brother, and said nothing about the fact my room is a mess, or that I was just staring blankly at the cardboard box I just taped the bottom of. That box is ready for my craft books and paint stuff, my origami paper, my reading stand, my books on how to make stuff like children's books and animation. She made no mention of it all, just made that same pinched expression she has for weeks and then schooled her expression into something more neutral as she nodded towards the bedroom where my brother is and after a moment I got up and stumbled in, sitting at the foot of the bed to type out some kind of vent on Tumblr.
I'm packing my things, and I'm stuck between wanting to cry and finding myself unable to cry. I'm leaving home. I've been dreaming of getting out of here off and on since I was 13. At times I had a countdown of years, months, weeks, days that I had to stay, that I had to wait for the day I could finally leave. It made being angry or sad or any other complicated emotion easier. It made hardship easier to cope with. It made it easier to get through the hard times because I knew I could leave and nothing could stop me.
I'm packing my things, slowly, piece by piece, and I'm starting to understand the weight of what my dad said, when he said I was the first person on either side of my family in generations to not run away from home before turning 18. My mom left home at 17, my dad spent more days out of the house than in it as a teenager and left the god damn country. My bio paternal family has these issues too. My maternal family is full of people that ran off, that stayed away from home and didn't look back. My mom only speaks to one sister, and can't speak to her brother as long as their mother is alive. I didn't leave. I finished high school, I got my diploma, I took my time and I didn't leave before I was a legal adult.
I'm packing my things to leave home, and it's hard. It's scary. I've never been away from home for very long, and here I am, getting ready to do something more than just "Move out".
I'm packing my things, putting my life into boxes, sorting what's going to stay, waiting for me to return, what's getting tossed, what's going to get donated or given away. I keep finding things and remembering shit related to them. I keep finding things and remembering who gave them to me. I keep finding things and remembering which parent smiled when I got it.
I'm packing my things, and in a way I'm also processing a kind of grief I didn't know existed.
I'm leaving home for something I thought through for 8 months, and I'm coming up on the one year anniversary since I made my decision. It's been just under two since I signed the dotted line, swore in, and came home to congratulations and a sureness that I'm doing the right thing for me.
In 5 days, I'm going to my last meeting. Getting a send off from a group of people doing the same thing. A couple of them doing the EXACT same thing.
In 9 days, I'll spend the last full 24 hours I've got with my family, eating a fruit tart and playing putt putt. I'll say good night and that'll be the last time I see them for months at the very least.
In 10 days, I'm hiding my key on the porch and walking out the front door while everyone is asleep. They'll wake up and I'll be hundreds of miles away from them. In 10 days, I'm hopping in a big unmarked government van (and this will never not be funny to me) with like 5 other people and we're all doing the same thing. We're going somewhere and we have no idea what is really waiting for us.
In 11 days, I'm not in civilian limbo anymore. As it stands I am subject to the UCMJ but I'm not a sailor yet. In 11 days, I'm a recruit, and that's fucking dizzying to think about.
I'm getting ready to start a new part of my life and it's going to be exciting and new and I'll make friends and I'll go a couple places and I'll have stories to tell my brother and family. I think I'll be better, when all is said and done.
But right now, I'm packing my things into boxes and tubs, and right now, I want to cry.
Stockroom Antics - Chapter 17
Maria had changed jobs numerous times over the last five years, more to keep herself safe than anything else. Her mother had told her she was a fairy but she thought it was just her mom being weird. Honestly, though, she had no other way of explaining what had happened to her that stormy day before she'd gone into a coma for two weeks.
Please don't take my work. I'll post warnings for each chapter. Will probably be 18+ I haven't decided yet!
Word Count: 1502
Pairing eventually Dean Winchester x OC
Warnings: Angst
A/N: This one's written a little differently than my last one. Let me know what you think. It's the first time I've tried this type of writing. Chapters will alternate viewpoints as well. I also looked into an actual area so this one could feel more realistic. This one is taking on a life of it's own in a turn I hadn't anticipated, so adding a new tag.
----------------------------------------- Stockroom Antics Chapter 17
You followed the little dragon to the kitchen. It was really adorable, reminding you of both a puppy and a kitten, but at the same time, something far more intelligent than either.
You could have attempted to create some coffee but wanted it to taste right, so you decided to brew some instead while the little dragon sat on the bench seat at the table.
The dream was still playing out in your mind as you thought over the things Astaria had told you. Soulmates, the word made you roll your eyes again. When the brothers joined you, you kept your answers short. They didn’t need to know the personal stuff; you were just a case, after all.
How the dragon kept looking at Dean made you wonder far too many things, even as you tried your hardest to keep yourself from thinking anything more of him. Again, you reminded yourself that you were their case, not someone they wanted to be friends with. If only you’d remembered to ask Astaria how to grow the bond with the dragon.
Then, when the dragon tilted its head at Dean after you asked Sam if the information would help with the case, you slowly looked up and at Dean. Why did he have to be so damned handsome? Then, there almost seemed to be something else hidden behind his eyes but you didn’t want to read more into it. Relief flooded through you when Sam spoke up again, taking your attention from Dean’s enchanting green eyes.
Explaining anything from your dream was difficult, so you kept it short, deciding only to give them essential information. The last thing you wanted to discuss was the soulmate topic with either of them. You’d often reach down and absentmindedly give the dragon some affection, and it would purr against your hand, which sounded like a mix between a low growl and a cat's purr.
The coffee, at least, was helping you focus, bringing you out of that sleep fog that always followed that dream. It had been a bit worse this time, having interacted with things, which made it so much more real than it ever had before. It was hard to ignore that the dragon kept looking at Dean way more than it was Sam. Although, you missed quite a bit of what the dragon was responding to.
I’m just a case. Soulmates can’t be real, no matter what Astaria says…
When Dean got up, you glanced at him briefly, realizing you were a bit hungry. You had slept the day away, after all. Whether you’d admit it or not, the view of watching him walk away was just as nice as the front, but you quickly gave Sam your attention, wanting to push your thoughts away.
What you didn’t realize was that Sam had seen how your gaze had lasted longer as you watched Dean. You figured that since the little dragon would be staying, you would offer Sam to at least pet her, and you would have chuckled at his response had it not been for him mentioning other dragons. That was something you hadn’t even considered, so you missed the way the dragon was watching Dean cook.
You almost jumped when the dragon flew over to the center island in the kitchen. For a bit, you just watched it, puzzled at its action, when it went to the far corner so it could see around him. You even stifled a giggle, watching him jump a little when he noticed.
The dragon seemed to at least like him, more than it liked Sam, or that was what you figured. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that Dean was the older of the two, or maybe the fact that he was in charge, at least in your eyes. It couldn’t be anything deeper than that, right?
When it ate the bacon, you began wondering what kinds of foods the dragon would need to eat. It seemed to like meat, but you wondered what else it might like. At least you could do your best to create whatever it needed, not wanting to burden the brothers with having to spend money on food for your dragon.
You wanted to be angry at Dean when he said the dragon’s name was Bubbles. You glared at him even if he couldn’t see you. He wouldn’t know what her name was, she wasn’t his familiar, you thought to yourself. Luckily, Sam asked you a question, pulling your attention back to him and away from Dean.
After Dean brought dinner over, it made your stomach grumble even more. You made a plan not to exhaust yourself this particular evening. Sleeping through the entire day had sucked. Before Dean could give your dragon another slice of bacon, you took one from your plate and gave it to her. Something about Dean interacting with your dragon like he was, bothered you. Although, you did your best not to let it appear in your expression.
You managed not to look at Dean very often, reminding yourself that you were just their case, nothing more. So, when dinner was done, you used your powers to clean things up. It was the least you could do to show gratitude for letting you stay with them while they figured out how to keep you safe from Crowley. The thought of the King of Hell wanting you, for whatever reason, made your skin crawl. Astaria’s words replayed in your mind: Unless you’ve recently met your soulmate, and you don’t know it. Sam asking if you still wanted a tour of the place pulled you from your thoughts. You only agreed in hopes that it would take your mind off of everything. However, when the dragon didn’t follow you, you got somewhat annoyed and couldn’t quite figure out why.
The bunker was massive, far larger than you had initially anticipated. Sam explained the rooms, even the ones he didn’t open, and showed you. He also asked that you don’t wander around or touch things. When you gave him a puzzled look, he chuckled, explaining that some of the things in there held certain magic, like curses, and he didn’t want you to accidentally unleash one.
That made plenty of sense, as you would have felt horrible had you accidentally done that. When he brought up drinking that night and getting to know the two of them, you weren’t quite sure how to take that. Then the apology from him was the last thing you’d expected. Thinking of yourself as just a case was easier. You could keep your feelings and questions from showing or coming out. You almost felt nervous when you agreed to have drinks with them.
The two of you made your way back to the war room, finding Dean and your dragon in the library. You felt goosebumps dance down your arms, seeing how he was smiling and interacting with the dragon, who seemed to be enjoying his attention. Sam almost bumped into you when you stopped and watched them.
“Sorry,” you quickly told Sam, who just chuckled, seeing what you were looking at.
“You’re fine. I’ll be right back. You want beer or whiskey?” he asked you.
“Uh, beer, I guess,” you replied, not realizing he had meant drinking now. At least with beer, you wouldn’t get drunk as quickly but planned on keeping track of how much you drank.
You didn’t realize that Dean and the dragon had looked up and over at you, at least not right away. When you turned from Sam, who had headed into the kitchen, you saw them staring at you.
“What was that all about?” Dean asked as you sat across from him at one of the library tables.
“Oh, well, Sam mentioned having drinks and talking,” you answered, feeling slightly unsure of yourself or how this would go.
“Oh,” Dean stated, although sounding distant, almost like he was upset or something, then he began to get up, “Then I’ll leave you to it.”
At first, you were puzzled, but then you realized how your statement had been taken. “No, no, no, not like that. He meant all three of us,” you quickly tried to clarify.
Dean raised an eyebrow and sat back down just as Sam joined you in the library. He set a beer in front of you, choosing one for himself and bringing whiskey and a glass for Dean. You took a sip of your beer and then a deep breath. The dragon watched you and Dean, although you couldn’t figure out what its expression meant.
You weren’t sure how to feel after what Sam had said earlier, about getting to know each other due to how the case was going and how they were involved. It was so much easier to keep telling yourself that you were just a case. At least during that time, you could push away anything you might have been feeling toward Dean.
DADDY’S BEST FRIEND, ELVIS PRESLEY
A hot summer day in Memphis was beautiful as ever but nothing could beat the beauty of Graceland for me. Ever since the age of 10 my father whom I happened to be close with was long time friends with the one and only Elvis Presley. All my life friends would beg for autographs, pictures, clothing samples as if I could just ask this man for a kind of thing like that.
Elvis was almost like a second dad to me I suppose.
Maybe not the best wording? Considering i've  been drooling over him like every other girl across this world since middle school. Here I am 19 soon to be 20 doing nothing with my life, lusting after a king who probably sees me as a kid who he can spoil all because he has too much money and not enough people he cares to spend it on.
That doesn't even make sense..
My birthday now was coming up on the too soon 30th of June.
My mother never made my life any easier for me. She definitely didn't make it easier for me to accept the party when i was informed that Elvis took it upon himself to host this god awful thing at Graceland.
"Mama we can't just intrude in his home like this and invite all these people from around town as if we even know they're damn names.." I whined following my mother upstairs in our small home.
She sighed and stopped in her steps, "Stop trying to get me to cancel it all because you have a little crush on him. He doesn't mind and it's free, You should be out thanking EP right now instead of crying in my ear." she ends her words with a huff and continues into my little brothers room, dropping a pile of clean clothes for him to fold and put away later.
"I do not have any crush on him, mama." I raise my voice boldly. "How many times am I gonna have to tell you that? The guys like 70.." I add for good measure. It doesn't work.
"You look at him the way your father looks at pie..now will you please leave your ole mom alone."
She teasingly rolls her eyes and walks back downstairs to start on dinner.
"Go see him, Kim. Thank the man for the love of god. He's precious and you know it. He didn't have to do this for you but he seemed more than happy to make your 20th special." She pulls out her apron tying it loosely around her wide hips. "Wear something nice!"
I groan grabbing a hold of my car keys. I couldn't take her determined mindset anymore. I felt like i needed to surround myself in negativity. Why would he want me at his house like that? What would Prescilla think? Im far too old to be having birthday parties at a family friends house, let alone Elvis's.
I soon pull up to his gate driving in without even realizing I was still wearing my bathrobe. Fuck fuck fuck.
"I gotta go back" I whisper shoving my key back in and buckling back in. I begin to let my foot off the brake.
I hear a knock on my glass window and startle with a jump quickly slamming back down on the brake.
"Oh what the actual fuck!" I practically scream grabbing my hair and pulling slightly with overwhelming anxiety.
I contemplate driving off and never coming back home if i can help it but I settle with rolling down my window and laughing nervously for now. Fuck that.
"Woah sweetheart..what're ya doin here at.." Elvis trails off looking down at his watch "4:00 in the evenin'?"
"Ya family alright?" He questions softly. Why'd he have to be so damn sweet?
I slowly look up with the fakest smile I ever did use, "W-what?" I laugh obnoxiously. "No I came here for s-something else..cannot erm..r-r-remember what.." I say leaning forward on my steering wheel groaning in embarrassment.
Why'd he have to look so nice right now in a robe and nothing underneath from what you could tell of his slightly tan chest covered in light hair. Why was I such a whore staring so hard..
"You gonna come in honey or we gonna sit outside n' watch the sunset?" He teases opening your car door.
"N-no uh..I-I can just stay here, right here" I point down into my seat with my fingers. "Just here is fine." I nearly beg out loud.
i rather harshly shut my door back.
He laughs. He laughs at me. Dear god mama why'd she do this shit to me.
"Suit yourself, kid." He drawls out with his thick accent that matter of factly made me squeal at night before bed.
He walks around my car swiftly opening the passenger seat door sitting his fine ass right beside me. I can almost taste the smell of him as he drops into the seat.
"You gonna tell me now what you dropped by for? Or you gonna keep this oddly unlike you demeanor up?" He says with a tinge of tease.
I roll my eyes with a sigh, putting my car into park.
"Im under dressed..it's beyond embarrassing." I push out a fake laugh to ease how nervy I am really.
"Your actin like im lookin'..get to it Kim." he states bluntly.
"Fineeee..goddamn." I stare at my hands in my suddenly cold lap. "I came to say thankyou for wanting to host my "party" but I really can't accept-"
He cuts me off quickly with an unbeatable tone telling me already he wouldn't be taking no for an answer. "Nope. I already have everything done, no need to come beggin me to stop it. Everybody needs a party."
"Please just nothing big..Elvis. Like really.." I glance too quickly down at his wide spread pose and im caught red handed im sure of it. I didn't even have time to truly take in what I felt I could see through his seemingly thin robe.
"Play nice about it and I'll talk to your dad about alcohol" Elvis lets out an almost boyish giggle and I can't help the burning blush that takes over my ugly face.
We chat more for the next 10 minutes about what I'd prefer at my party but he caught on rather quickly I was only trying to turn it into some boring cookout that nobody would stay for.
Before to long I catch his watch set nicely on the arm rest of the seat he was currently in and see I've kept him in my presence too long in a fit of laughs. Not that I was complaining. His perfect teeth.
"Go back inside old man.. Too late for you to be awake." I say jokingly gently shoving him against his door.
He fakes pain and opens the door stepping out and I can't help but bite my lip at the sight of his toned tanned legs but somehow feel a tinge of sadness that I couldn't just yank him back and bone him to no end.
Walking up his porch he turns back to me and waves, "Goodnight honey, I'll stop by tomorrow to see your daddy!" He says with what I hope a joking attitude.
My dad can't know I was ever here on my own dressed like a slut, of course not on purpose. Sigh.
I drive off and head home to eat dinner with my family but all I can do for the rest of my night is think about how truly fucked I'll be at this party.
HI! THIS IS MY FIRST CHAPTER TO THIS HOPEFULLY GOOD STORY LOLS . IM NEW TO THE ELVIS FANDOM AND IM HOPING TO MAKE SOME MOOTS HERE SIGH . IM A LONELY PERSON AND I LIKE TO THINK IM NICE LMFAO! GIVE ME IDEAS FOR MY "BOOK". IM OPEN MINDED AND HAVE NO PLANS YET FOR THIS <3 ENJOY
Leyra || the Albino Na'vi
Tumblr media
(Neteyam x OC)
MASTERLIST/PLAYLIST/PICS
Chapter 5
For the next week or so, Neteyam ate all his lunches with Leyra in the forest. Sometimes he brought them portions of the clan lunch, sometimes the pair hunted something to eat together.
Neytiri grew worried for her son over his absent behavior, and she expressed this to her mate.
"Ma Jake, our son is spending all his free time alone in the forest. Sometimes, he doesn't even take any lunch. I worry for him. Talk to him, please. You are his father."
Jake didn't take this well, saying that he spent a lot of time alone at this age too, and it was nothing to worry about. Neytiri insisted, saying it was not normal for a Na'vi boy to spend so much time away from the clan. Finally, finally, Jake agreed to quickly check in with him.
"Neteyam, wait." He had caught his son on his way out to meet Leyra for lunch.
"Yes?"
Jake sighed. "Your mother is worried about you. She says you spend too much time alone in the forest. Would you try to hang around a bit more, for her sake?"
Neteyam realized that his parents didn't even have an inkling of his blossoming relationship with Leyra.
"Of course, sir. I will do my best."
Jake clapped him on the shoulder and directed him back towards their marui. "Great. Come, eat with us."
Shit, Leyra will be looking for me. He even had a gift he was going to give her today. But there was nothing he could do.
He was right, Leyra was looking for him. She saw the hunting party return to base camp a while ago and Neteyam was nowhere to be found. She crept towards the entrance of the cave system, but without an ikran she had no way of getting up.
"Looking for Neteyam?"
She whipped around, only to find Kiri te Suli Kireysi'ite laying on a log behind her. She sat up.
"Our dad made him stay for lunch in the marui. Mom was getting worried, saying that he spent all his time alone. But he's been acting too happy lately to be spending all that time by himself, so I knew something was up. Then I remembered him asking around about an albino Na'vi some time ago, and... well, I connected the dots." Her words were accusatory but her tone was playful.
Leyra was suddenly ashamed for Neteyam for ever hanging out with her, and was desperate to cover it up for his sake.
"What? I'm not looking for anyone."
"Don't bother lying, I saw you together yesterday."
Shit.
"Please don't tell anyone." Leyra's tone was suddenly quiet and vulnerable.
Kiri seemed taken aback by this, standing up and-- to Leyra's surprise-- wrapped the poor girl up in a hug. "Don't worry, I promise I won't."
Relieved, Leyra hugged back.
"But I did some thinking and... I wanted to talk to you."
"About what?" Now that the two felt more comfortable, they both took a seat on the log to converse.
"My mom has been asking for my opinion of the clan girls lately."
"Okay?"
"Neteyam is to be the future Olo'ektan, and that means my parents will help pick out a Tsahik for him. Someone who has a good relationship with Eywa."
Oh.
"Look, I just don't want my brother getting hurt. Or you, really. I just think you should both be realistic."
Leyra paused, a deep depression settling over the image of the only thing that's been bringing her proper joy. "You're probably right." Her head fell into her hands. Why was she so upset? She must've known deep down that Neteyam could never be hers. "I'll talk to him the next time I see him."
Over lunch, Neytiri slowly mentioned different girls of the clan, and gauged Neteyam's interest. Getting frustrated by his complete lack of care, she finally just said it up front.
"Neteyam, you will need to choose a Tsahik soon. You are almost sixteen, so you should be getting to know her now, before you turn seventeen."
Neteyam knew the subject would come up eventually, but not so soon.
"Can't it wait a while? I've got more than a year."
"Actually, I've already picked out a few girls that I think will be a good fit, I just want you to meet them, see how you feel-"
Jake, who had left a few minutes ago, now re-entered the marui with four girls trailing nervously behind him.
Neteyam was furious. How could she spring this on him? Especially when she had ditched her arranged mating?
"Mother!" He all but snarled, taking Neytiri by surprise.
"I thought having someone might make you happier?"
"I don't need anyone el-" He cut himself off, pulling at the roots of his hair. "I'm perfectly happy as it is, thank you."
"Just try, my son, maybe-"
He was gone, heading for his ikran. All he wanted to do was talk to her about this.
"Neteyam!" It was his father, but all Neteyam did was shout an apology over his shoulder.
At this point, Kiri had gone back to exploring the forest and Leyra found herself wallowing alone in her waterfall cave. Neteyam found her after a long while of circling the area.
"Leyra," he breathed, so, so relieved to see her. But the tension found him again when he noticed her solemn expression. He put a hand on her cheek. "What? What is it?"
"You first," she deferred, sensing his urge to talk.
"Are you sure?"
She nodded. "Very sure."
"Well, my mother ambushed me today at lunch," he explained, taking a seat beside her, "she brought in a bunch of girls that she wants me to pick as a mate."
It hurt more, somehow, to hear it from him. "Oh." It came out as more of a sigh.
"What?" He turned to face her completely.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about, actually. Kiri is the one who brought it up. I don't think we should see each other anymore."
Just a trick of the light?
Okay so this is a fun one--it started with me becoming obsessed with Amalee's English cover of "Idol", the theme song for an anime called Oshi no Ko. (flashing warning, but the video for it is here!)
In the context of the original anime, it's from the viewpoint of a key character that's a teenaged girl in the "pop idol" industry of Japan. Due to her background as a kid that grew up in the foster system because of an uncaring mother, she doesn't have a good understanding of what an actual caring relationship of any sort looks like--so she throws herself into lying about "loving" her fans in the way that idol culture tends to create unhealthy parasocial relationships. She ends up secretly becoming a teen mom, but through her relationship with her kids she slowly begins to understand what it feels like to ACTUALLY love someone. (and then PLOT happens from there but it's a pretty big spoiler, so...yeah.)
...So what does this have to do with BG3?
Well, uh, as I was looping this song over and over again in 2023 (starting before I even knew much about the anime the song is from), I started to pick up on lines that reminded me of Astarion having to fake attraction or affection for people to find prey for Cazador (and later on protection during the game events), and then stumbling into actually loving the person he's in a romance with.
And then I also was reminded of Wyll pretending to be this grand hero despite the much darker things going on privately in his life.
And next thing you know I have essentially an entire animatic to the song plotted out in my head of Astarion seducing Wyll, only to realize how much they're both performing a role and then realizing he has genuine feelings for Wyll.
The PROBLEM is that I've never learned how to draw, but I DO know how to write, so...! I started writing a fic on the idea, and titled it after a line from the song. The basic idea was brief scenes of Astarion and Wyll having to play a role in their previous lives, building up to their eventual meeting and slowly recognizing the people behind the masks they wear. Here's a couple snippets from the first scenes for Astarion and Wyll:
He [Astarion] takes a seat at the bar, leaning back onto an arm to try to emphasize graceful lines, his long legs crossed just so. He orders himself a drink–the cheapest he thinks he can get away with while still seeming like he has good taste–and looks back at the pub, his smile perfectly performed. When a tipsy woman is the first to take the bait, he pretends to not see her at first, and then lets his eyebrows raise and shapes his eyes to look pleasantly surprised. “Oh? And how did I catch the attention of such a beauty?”
[...]
He [Wyll] accepts every request to dance that comes his way and leads his partners along the floor with carefully practiced grace, his touch around their waist gentle and chaste but just enough to maybe endear them to him, if just for the night. By the time he’s dancing with a half-elf partner his feet are starting to hurt, but he disguises it with an easy smile at the end, placing a kiss on their hand that lights up the half-elf’s blue eyes. Well, at least he could make them happy, just for a moment.
so the problem is, uh...I got up to the classic Tiefling Party Scene and...I...don't know how to take it to a conclusion from there. So it's just been sitting here for months, oops. I haven't completely abandoned it but it's sitting on the backburner while I work on stuff I have a stronger idea about!
WHEN YOU twist the doorknob and push the door open to soobin's apartment, the tall boy stands not too far from you. he looks up, brown eyes already smiling at you while his cheeks seem to be dusted in pink.
"hi," he says, his voice coming out low and breathy. soobin opens his arms and you struggle to take off your shoes, almost tripping on your feet as you shuffle towards him, falling into his warm embrace.
"you're perfect," you mumble into his shirt.
soobin laughs, and the rumble coming from his chest is pleasant sounding to your ears. "so i've been told," he says, pinching your cheek.
now that you think about it, soobin likes to pinch your cheek a lot. you're not complaining, though. it's cute.
with your chin resting on his chest, you look around his apartment. you've only ever been in the living room area, watching cheesy romcoms on the tv with a small blanket draped over soobin's legs because, well, he has much longer legs than you and the blanket barely even touches your legs. "you've never really shown me around your place," you say, your gaze now directed at him.
soobin gasps. "you're right! oh my gosh, you haven't my son, have you?"
"soobin," you deadpan. "why didn't you tell me you had a kid?"
he blinks, flabbergasted. "what? no, i don't have a kid. i mean my hedgehog, you silly goose. oh, first you take the nausea pills i have... if i can find them..."
with a groan, you ignore what he last said and push him away, covering your face with your hands. "gosh, why didn't you say that earlier... i mean, of course you don't have an actual kid. you're too awkward to even... do that."
soobin clicks his tongue in mock annoyance, grabbing your hands as he grumbles about how your comment was too mean. it makes you laugh and it makes him happy to know that you're slowly forgetting whatever was on your mind that made you come to him. not that he's complaining because he loves spending time with you, but he'd rather have you be happy.
he leads you into his room, and as soon as you step inside, you're already looking everywhere. his room is actually pretty clean, which isn't a surprise. you see a piano against one side of the wall with a desk next to it. his bed is in the center of the room, the sheets holding no crease to it. what you do find surprising is the cage he has set atop a shelf where you know his son lives.
"be careful," soobin mumbles as he takes off the lid. "odi hates everyone."
"odi? that's a cute name." you're peeking over his shoulder as he takes out a cute hedgehog.
soobin flashes a dimpled grin. "odi, your mom just said you have a cute name... so be nice to her, okay?"
you quirk an eyebrow, the corners of your lips tugging up to form a smile. "mom?"
at this, the boy gasps. "we can't ever break up now," he says, brown eyes serious as he stares into your own eyes.
you frown. "why would we ever break up?"
soobin stutters. "i, uh, no reason. but we can't break up because i just introduced you as his mom."
laughing, you nod. "right, right. understood." you look at odi, he seems to be glaring angrily at the hand holding him. well, at least you think he's glaring. he kind of just looks grumpy.
as you peek at soobin while he talks about odi, you realize that he's your safe place, your home.
just like how he once was. but there's a difference between him and soobin... there difference being that for soobin, you'd do anything to continue to see him.
and you're positive that you're in love with the tall ravenette.
