I am genuinely curious about what people actually like about Atem's character arc and what happened to Yuugi in Doma. Like I will not comment on anything and just publish it and take it into account. I am genuinely curious.

Fandom of the day 1. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir
Yeah I gotta start with these two dorks.
Tumblr media
Yes, I am a 25-year-old guy that watches a show made for little girls. So what? I've been called out for playing Pokemon for years and I never really cared what people thought so I won't start caring now xD
The Plot
For everyone who has never heard of it (even though I find that unlikely): The basics of the plot revolve around these two teenagers who had magic jewels handed to each other that come with little creatures that transform them into superheroes. Together they have to stop a certain supervillain from terrorizing Paris. He only has one goal: to steal the magic jewels from Ladybug and Cat Noir.
The greatest plot point? Marinette falls in love with Adrien. Adrien falls in love with Ladybug. While Marinette turns into Ladybug and Adrien into Cat Noir, neither of them knows who is truly behind the mask of the other which basically makes it so that they are in love with each other but neither of them knows it xD
The Characters
Let's skip over the 2 important ones. I don't want this post to be too long.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Ladybug
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The main character of this series is honestly one of the greatest main characters I have ever seen in any series.
In English she is voiced by my favorite voice actress btw, which is Christina Vee. (Yes I am very interested in knowing who the voice actors are)
She always tries to help the people around her to the best of her abilities no matter how small the favor might be. The issue? She is very clumsy. The things she does don't always turn out to be the way she wants them to. While she has a good heart and is quite strong, she is also a deeply flawed character. She too gets overcome by feelings like anger and jealousy and sometimes has to learn a difficult lesson from her actions.
She is the one that'll turn into a superhero, as she was chosen to be the next Ladybug, a superhero with the power of creation.
2. Adrien Agreste / Cat Noir
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Things were much different for Adrien. He too suffers from being way too nice even to people that probably wouldn't deserve it. Mostly because of his mother.
Being the son of an extremely rich fashion designer and his mother having disappeared years ago he lives a very sheltered life until he is finally allowed to go to school. On top of that, he is chosen to be the next Cat Noir, a superhero with the power of destruction.
When he turns into Cat Noir his character changes rapidly from a rather oblivious and nice boy to a guy who cracks the unfunniest jokes ever made and constantly flirts with Ladybug.
His voice actor Bryce Papenbrook is also known for a few awesome other roles and does a great job at portraying the character.
Why is he so great? He is basically everything that Ladybug isn't. At moments when Ladybug's temper gets the better of her, he stays calm and rational. But sometimes he's also way too blunt and the lack of social skills shines through. His blind trust in her makes these two a great duo though.
Summary
Miraculous currently has 5 seasons and is still in development but until now this is probably one of the most passionate fandoms I've ever seen. Ladybug x Cat Noir is a fantastic ship that has a lot of cute and amazing but also dramatic fanfictions.
What I love about it is of course the characters as I mentioned before but the twists the story goes through aren't half bad either. But the biggest point for me was the strong similarity to Spider-Man in keeping a secret identity and having a sense of responsibility. It is a trope that I truly love and can't really get enough of xD
What makes Miraculous so popular was probably the love square:
Tumblr media
The amount of creativity that this fandom has is sheer endless and there are a lot of really good fanfictions out there.
So if you got some spare time and are a sucker for romance, and complicated relationships but also action, and superheroes this might be something for you.

haha im so glad you liked that question! ive heard some of those songs but not all so ill have to check the rest out! broadening out a bit on the same question, what music by disney channel/ex-disney channel artists have you enjoyed the most this past year? is there anyone that you're hoping makes more music in the coming year? -gcwca secret santa
while you're at it please watch this it's so extra
this year i've mostly listened to the same old people (jonas brothers not the new releases, demi, miley, sabrina, bridgit mendler etc.), but i was mostly surprised by dove cameron's releases this year! i've said it before but i'm not the biggest fan of her music, i enjoy her work more as an actress, but she got like 3 songs on my top 100 playlist this year so that's something lol i also went through my endless summer vacation phase for like 3 weeks and i really loved the album even handstand
i think this is worth mentioning because not a lot of non-latam people know this and i LOVE infodumping but two of the artists on my top 5 in 2023 are disney channel ex-acts: bruno martini (#1) (dj/producer) and mayra (#4) (singer/songwriter) were a musical duo called college 11, the first brazilian band to ever sign with disney and they even had a tv show that went on for 3 seasons. even though they broke up the band in 2014 (?) they still make a lot of music together as solo artists. mayra released her first album this year and bruno produced most of it which makes me so so happy!!! technically he's produced like 95% of the stuff she's ever released but yeah dshjdhsd
i really hope sabrina carpenter releases a new album because i can only speak for myself when i say this but i'm getting sick of hearing nonsense as the main song in literally every one of her live performances, even if she does change the outro every time
i don't know if i should ask about your favorite artists i feel like that could give you away lmao

For the anime ask game! May I ask 1, 3 and 12? ^^
Sure you may!
First anime you ever watched?
It depends on how you want to count. The first anime I watched as a little girl was Pokémon. At least it's the first one I remember being really obsessed with. My grandparents had a TV pack with many channels, including the one that had anime. No matter what I was doing, if I heard the Pokémon theme song playing on the TV, I would drop everything I was holding and go to the TV as fast as I could. Now, I also remember enjoying MewMew Power (or Tokyo MewMew, as is the Japanese title) a lot, and there was also Dragon Ball and Naruto on the channel, but those two, I didn't enjoy quite as much.
After learning what anime was, my first was Vampire Knight. My friend had watched it and we had an idea that I should base a fanfiction on the story, so that was why I watched it. I liked the first season, but then the story turned weird and I've heard that the manga turned weirder. It's not one I'll go back to unless I have a good reason, but it is special to me.
3. Favorite anime character?
That's hard! I mean, there are so many characters that I love. My first favorite character was Kaoru Hitachiin from Ouran High School Host Club, because I like how he is different from Hikaru and the two sides he shows. Then I have a soft spot for Yui from Angel Beats because I relate to her very deeply, all her feelings and her struggles, and just thinking about her moves me. I like Ron Kamonohashi because he is just fun to watch.
I also could say that I like Haruka Nanase from Free! because I do relate to him in some ways. However, these days, I think I would have to say Reki Kyan from Sk8 The Infinity. When he had some emotional struggles in the anime, I had some struggles that were quite similar, and it made me feel heard and understood, and helped me process my thoughts and feelings, and so Reki's journey hit me hard too. To borrow the word of a friend, I would call him my squish. But there are many reasons to like a character. Ask me in a year or two, and Reki might not be my answer anymore. It always changes.
12. Anime that should get more attention from others?
Another good question. Other than fanfictions, I don't really check what anime are talked about and what are not talked about at all. If you ask the BL loving girl inside me, she would claim that all BL anime deserve more attention. I'm not sure I agree with that statement. There is good BL like Sasaki and Miyano, Given or Banana Fish, and then there is questionable BL that I would rather not even mention.
I think, if I had to name an anime that I wish got more attention and was still talked about today, it would have to be Bakuman. I loved the anime when I watched it and while it does some things different from the manga, I'm enclined to argue that those minor details actually make the anime better, with the male duo more likable and the love interests getting more screen time, so they feel more like their own people.
Thank you for the ask ^^

what are your favorite things about pezberry?
Sorry it took long Anon but here we go, Pezberry! I'll list five to keep it consistent with other favourite things lists.
The first thing that comes to mind is how unlikely it is. While we had the seeds of a Faberry friendship (/something more, cough queerbait cough) planted early on, much of early seasons Pezberry is hostility. I first heard Kurtcheltana would end up as roommates when I was watching, gosh I don't know, early season 2? Could not believe it, what an unlikely combo. But I love that, against all the odds, it works. There's just something about the oddity of it that appeals to me.
Second point, the fact that it does work. There was the feud and all and we'll get to that but I think people who don't like Pezberry are a bit too quick to dismiss the almost an entire season's worth where they were working very well together. Santana brought a much-needed freshness to the loft and she and Rachel burned so brightly for the short time (or not so short, all relative) that they were allowed to. Santana tries so hard in season 4 and I think she tries the most with Rachel, whom she recognizes she's hurt so much. And Rachel is reluctant, at first, but then she really grows to appreciate having a girl friend (and girlfriend) and their moments in season 4B/5A are sooo cute. It just works.
No, actually, going off on that, it doesn't just work because it's effort. And that I think is my main point of fascination for Pezberry, that they show how human connection can be hard work that's ultimately worth it. Because they have so much baggage going into it and burn so brightly, they initially fail to take a step back and realize that they can't do this their usual, "awesome or not at all" way. Friendship and all other relationships are active work, not instincts and just magically knowing what the other needs. So in that way I don't mind the feud in concept because they were bound explode and I'm just happy that we do have season 5B. Will forever hate it when people say the feud ruined them because some of my favourite Pezberry moments are in season 5B, when they're no longer in such close physical proximity but consciously make the choice to make their dynamic work. Rachel has to trust Santana, Santana has to learn to be kind. It's work, but isn't it worth the effort?
Kinda relating to that, I love the reason why it is work and it is worth it. I've already mentioned that it's unlikely yet still works but I also just like the mesh of their personalities. Rachel, with her big dramatics and loud opinions hiding someone who just wants to be loved, and Santana with her bitchiness and everything she grew up with telling her to torture Rachel. And yet Santana still wants to make it work so bad and that stuff is fascinating. They're both larger than life and get caught up in the drama and are idiots, but apart from being a comedic duo they also have the capability of really challenging each other. Rachel can't pull her usual shtick with Santana because Santana will double down on worst expectations, and Santana can't get away with her bitchiness because Rachel will call her out and hit back where it hurts. It has the potential to be dysfunctional, sure, but it also has the potential to be for their benefit. I'd like to think that post-season 5 they figure that out.
As the last point I'll bring it back to post-feud and say, as much as I like their fire and gasoline all or nothing full send attitude, I like that they get more chill. This is more of a headcanon because season 5B was so good but so brief and then season 6 was, you know. But I headcanon that they learned how to stay friends without feeling like they need to burn at 100%. That's what doomed them pre-Funny Girl, that they were so close but neither knew how to half-ass things and went in head first. So in my ideal Glee future not being roommates does wonders for them and they learn to take the best things from their relationship without burning each other in the process.
Tumblr media
That was barely five separate points and more one long tangent lol but you get what I mean, I hope. I need to talk more about Pezberry so thank you for enabling that Anon.

Sharly - An Analysis
Hello! As I said, this is a post analyzing my favorite couple from The Good Doctor, Sharly! Believe it or not, I've seen them as a couple since 'Mont Rushmore' and the end of the second season made me thrive! I wanted to make this post because besides talking about my babies, I want to show that although surprising, the writers already showed that it would be possible to happen. Making it clear that my intention here is to speak my point of view, if you are not ship is ok, we can all have different opinions. Second, I am a neurotypical person, so I will explore more Carly for reasons of knowledge, not leaving Shaun aside, of course.
I, at least, since the first time I saw Carly, I've been shipping she with Shaun. I like her personality as we saw in the incredible episode between her and Claire, for example when Carly said that guilt shouldn't always fall on the lab every time some sample was lost, but also not insisting on it after the search (besides the fact that a duo between these two is iconic by itself) and how Shaun feels comfortable around her, which is very important in any relationship.
When they met, their interaction already showed how reasonable Carly is. Shaun is wanting to accomplish the tasks in the best possible way, including wanting the exam as quickly as possible as Melendez asked. But of course he has to wait and Carly makes this very clear, besides explaining that he can't tabulate the samples in degree of importance as he wanted. That's when he says he's gonna throw a rock in her window. However, I love how her reaction wasn't to get angry or offended, on the contrary, Carly, although initially surprised, followed Shaun's line of thought saying that she really wouldn't like it and in the end said that the test would come out in 15 minutes, making it easier for him to wait.
Despite being firm, she is also a balanced girl who knew, in the short period she had with him in the first season, to understand and understand Shaun, so much so that in the same episode, even if visibly confused, she heard Shaun ask for a series of tests, even if in the series they seemed unnecessary at the time, still trying to alert him that he could stay in trouble, or in "trampoline", where he had scenes that I will comment on after they made me melt.
Carly has always been a kind and worried person, "Intangibles" also shows how much she knows how to work in a team and gets along with other people, including Claire, with whom Carly showed a very great affinity, and now that her character has been promoted to the main cast, I really want to see more of the friendship of these two! She, like Shaun, heard Claire vent while she was still looking for the sample. Besides having an A+ sense of humor!
After that, unfortunately, there are no more appearances of her in the first season, however, Carly comes back at the end of the second and in ways that made me ship Sharly even more. As soon as Shaun gets to pathology, I just absolutely love how excited Carly is about the fact that he works there! She gets him excited and says she doesn't need to be called Dr. Lever, showing that she wants him to feel comfortable and seeing him as someone accessible, besides understanding that it must be all too new for Shaun, it's 'like going to Disneyland for the first time'.
I also like very much how it pays attention when Shaun sees a biomass printer and uses the term "we", not only to say that it also works in pathology, but to show that it is including in this world and that it is part of a team, which makes him happy. She also asks him if he wants to test the machine and comfort him by saying how important and vital their work is. This reveals that Carly imagines how much Shaun loved being a surgeon and does everything in her power to make him more comfortable on the spot.
Much of their interaction in this episode is Carly trying to help Shaun move on, which due to the short time they had and because she is not part of a more immediate circle of Shaun's coexistence, she can't cope with the fact that he insists so much on going back to surgery. Even so, he doesn't get angry at her, thinking she doesn't understand, on the contrary, Shaun has a positive view of her, so much so that in "Breakdown", while talking to Lea, he remembers her after a comment and speaks of several quality of her, saying that Carly is intelligent, nice and aggressive, also casually commenting that she wants him to stay in the department because Carly thinks that they are a good team.
I love it, very much, because Shaun doesn't like the pathology, he doesn't want and doesn't like the idea of being there, but, he likes the presence of Carly, he feels good in her presence and, when he talks to Lea, he visibly already shows that he is slowly falling in love with her and that's very cute! Shaun has difficulty with some parts of the social interaction and, he's working on it including, so I think it's sweet and touching how quickly he came to the conclusion that Carly likes him, and how she makes a point of showing that too, revealing a great dynamic of friendship, which later evolved into a romance, where both express affection and are open about it.
"Trampoline" for then, was the peak of their two this season and showed how much they both care. When Claire is helping Shaun practice flirting (the scene was iconic with Claire advising him, she is a roll of cinnamon too pure for this world), it is clear how scared he is of being rejected, due to previous experiences and shows how much he really wants to try a relationship, showing that not a bit one-sided this romance, at least when it comes to Shaun.
They'll talk to Carly later, who makes it clear she misses Shaun in pathology. He, on the other hand, don't miss the pathology, which she responds with a smile, however, showing that she understands it. Later, Shaun begins to get a more serious picture due to the injuries and tries to get an exam, he goes straight to Carly, and it is in this scene that I may have had a fangirl outbreak.
Carly says Shaun can't order more tests, saying that he doesn't work in the hospital anymore and can't have a patient, already suspicious of the situation. Shaun says said it's from a Claire's patient, but once again, she doesn't buy the idea and says the sample has no name. Shaun realizes that Carly already knows the truth and assumes that she won't be able to do anything, and that's when she does it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She pulls the sample, and that's when you know she really cares. Carly is attached to the rules to some extent and what he's about to do can get her into trouble, however, she will not only take the test but also ask more to know what Shaun has, referring to him as "the patient", respecting the fact that Shaun wants to do everything with discretion. When he says he's coughing up blood, her face says it all:
Tumblr media
She's worried. This is a serious symptom and this fact stirs her up, which then claims it will do the tests. Later, with the results ready, she finds him in the cafeteria and tells him what it could be, when Shaun said he was induced by Trauma. And that's when, for the first time on the show, she interrupts him. Again, Carly shows that she cares about Shaun. She sits next to him and, still referring to him as "the patient", says that the symptoms will get worse and that he needs to take a medicine, which she writes a prescription, to improve. And what follows is a series of cute Screenshots. My favorites are how Shaun looks at Carly and how she watches him leave.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Shaun passes out, he recovers, Claire manages to save the patient, he gets his job back. The end of the episode without a shadow of a doubt and the most incredible and kind part regarding these two.
Shaun's gonna ask Carly out, who's pretty surprised and stunned. He asks if she would like to go out to dinner and she asks if this is a romantic date, which she agrees to go on. With this, Shaun goes away cheerful and the scene gets even softer with the fact that Carly was watching him go away with a smile.
And that's it. I really wanted them to be the endgame, they have a great dynamic and complementary personality, but that's for the writers to decide. For all intents and purposes, this was my analysis to show that Sharly was always possible and that I can't wait for the third season. Until the next pals, I'm out!
