Hello I love you - I have been extra quiet everywhere this week because I have kidney stones so I'm moving very slow and am extra growly.
I'm working on clearing my inbox though! Hoping against odds to be able to get that done this weekend. OTL After that I will begin the process of bothering you all separately about what you'd like to keep when I move this guy!

Two chapters over the weekend because I was ✨ inspired ✨ and my neighbors can't stop fucking (noisily!) and I'm,,, envious.
Strange adventures in Hell. There are descriptions of desperation and doom, lots of magic and - hear me out - forced/reluctant hand holding 😌 Oh my God, they held hands!!!
Tumblr media
"What. Were. You. Thinking?!" Strange was seething, his enormous figure and broader height towered over me, the blood-red of his cape vibrating, the only spleck of colour in the grey and dusty dark world.
"I had no choice in the matter," I replied as calmly as I managed, gritting my teeth, memories of our past stand-off fresh in my mind. We could have bickered until the end, until one of the beasts flying overhead spotted us and decorated the bleary grounds of this forsaken planet with the crimsons of our life blood. "I think it's best if we get to safety first, argue later. I have no desire to become somebody's lunch."
That much was true: I had taken a good look at our surroundings as soon as I recovered from the vacuum-like sensation of being pulled into a magical gateway; the visibility was terrible, the planet's natural light very scarce. Several suns were hardly visible in the sky, their rays barely penetrating the mists and the ashes freely floating in the air.
There was oxygen even if breathing in a full lungful seemed impossible; I tried not to think about the contents of the air, or the possibility of radiation poisoning, as the multiple amulets and charms seared into my skin where they rested under my clothes. I had four bottles of water, some bandages and salves and a sacrifice for a single ritual to my name and absolutely no conviction that Mother Earth would be able to hear the call of an earthling gone so astray.
But it was hope, so I held on.
"Fine," Stephen sighed, suddenly looking tired and weary, glancing around with furrowed brows. "Let's see if I can open a portal," his hands did that complicated set of gestures that I'd grown to associate with a golden circle and sparks on the ground. The thing flickered, once, twice, before disappearing, as if the Sorcerer's magic had run out of batteries. "Yeah, I thought so," he whispered to himself, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"The bad news first, please," I interpreted his hesitation with a realistic outlook on our predicament.
"I can't open a portal just anywhere on this planet. We need to find a... Rift, of sorts," the man was anxiously looking around. "And those things, they'll smell us... Right about now," his eyes shot up at a winged, rapidly approaching shadow. "No good news, I'm afraid."
I allowed myself a small sigh of disappointment, keeping a tight leash on the panic slowly creeping up my body. The feeling of determination, the power of Gaia within me was still present, laying in a cozy dormant ball slightly south of my solar plexus. "Give me your hand, please," I reached out to Stephen only for him to promptly recoil.
"You should've thought about the consequences of your actions, I'm not going to hold your hand because you're scared shitless," his words were sharp but they lacked the venom. He wouldn't, or couldn't, meet my eyes.
"I know you have scarred hands. I'm a healer and you don't have to feel embarrassed or ashamed I, I've seen worse," I stated in my best 'mutant nurse' voice as Stephen's eyebrows shot up and his eyes widened. "Those things can't sense me. And I know they won't be able to sense you too if we have skin-to-skin contact. So unless you want me to get under your... Robes," I gestured to the layers upon layers of clothing he had wrapped himself in. I considered the possibility of his whole body being covered in scars, too, and couldn't help the pang of sympathy. "Take one glove off and give me your damn hand before this trip to Jurassic Park goes full pterodactyl massacre!"
I saw the thing in the sky open it's mouth - but no sound came out, the clouds reducing it's outline to a vaguely triangular shadow. There was something very unusual about this planet's atmosphere.
With a couple of jerky movements, Stephen slid off the glove from his left hand, looking away as his large, dry, warm palm encompassed mine in a gentle, trembling grip. It made no sense to interlace our fingers, so I help onto him like a child holds onto their parent; the size difference of our hands and his imposing aura surely made me feel like one.
We stood a foot apart, watching the shadow in the sky begin to circle the place we stood in, it's gaping maw opening again and again, before it zigzagged across the sky with a strong dash of confusion, it's graceful glide becoming a series of rapid turns and twists. With a final inaudible shriek, it flew off into the dusty greys of the horizon, becoming a dark spot far away in mere seconds.
The silence was so loud in this world. Like the eerie stillness of my, undoubtedly haunted, apartment, I was eager to dissipate it with something beyond our combined heavy breathing. "Please don't tell Tony," I timidly gave our touching hands a sway. "He'll never leave it alone."
A chuffing noise coming from above had me whip my head up to see Stephen holding in a puff of nervous laughter; his shoulders dropped slightly as he eyed me in turn. "What makes you think I won't tease you about it?"
"You wouldn't dare," I took mock offense, rising my leaking nose to the skies.
The grumble and the eyeroll I expected, the smirk that faded into a ghost of a smile I did not. "We should go. Usually there is a rift within a few miles of every location everywhere," he tried to keep the content expression as he spoke but the storm in his eyes betrayed his concern. They were so blue, I felt like I was drowning.
I let myself to be tugged in a direction - everything seemed exactly the same, a never-ending ashen wasteland with the occasional dark grey rock that crumbled to dust as soon as the heel of my shoe touched it. My light blue sweater quickly became the colour of rotten wood, a sickly, dull monotone between brown and gray.
The complete lack of any kind of natural noise brought out the desolation of this wretched place; if we gripped each other's hands tighter, neither of us chose to acknowledge it. It was too easy to get lost in your own mind when the surroundings were dead set on rebuking anything that was in any shape or form alive.
I caught myself thinking that this must be what people think Hell should look like.
Strange walked briskly for the most part, periodically clearing his throat and eyeing me when I struggled to keep up with his long strides. It could have been an hour, or maybe two, of aimless wandering and rapidly imploding portals accompanied by Stephen's increasingly overcast face before I made the man stop and offered him a water bottle, which he insisted we split between us two.
It didn't take me a tarot reading to figure out our chances were grim. Needless, I gave him the same look I give to injured, scared mutant children when they come to the bodega for the first time; a look of quiet temperance.
And then we walked, and walked again, as Stephen grew moodier and moodier, marching on with the force of a seasoned soldier, only taking breaks when I forced him to stand still and breathe with me. As cautious and closed-off as he was, I pressed onto the fact of me being a healer of sorts, and he relented if briefly, always reluctant, always seasoned by a great dose of bewilderment.
"Do you feel that?" Stephen's stride halted, both feet firmly planted on the ground.
The ground had tremors had coming from deep within, small shocks that could have been easily missed if not for the complete lack of sound on this world. My nod was mute, I didn't trust my voice not to break when I clearly knew there was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, endless fields of nothing all around us.
"Hold onto me," promptly, I was grabbed and pushed into his chest, his long arms easily picking me up, encouraging me to wrap my legs around his waist. "Hold tight, I might need my hands," my face grew hot as I wound my arms around Stephen's neck, clinging to him like a monkey, a palm resting on the soft fine hairs if his nape. It felt too intimate somehow, in the wake of imminent danger.
The Cape that previously swayed behind him in rhythm with his steps billowed, the red fabric of it tough as it levitated us a few feet above the ground. I felt Stephen tense with each tremor; within moments, the surface shook and stuttered more and more, cracks appearing in between the dust, turning the plains into a marble-patterned patch of darkness.
We rose above it, high enough that I could see the veins resulting from the quake stretch far out into the wasteland, jagged, abrupt lines of even more concentrated darkness. And as quickly as the quake started, it was over, leaving little evidence as the ground settled.
Stephen floated us to a larger patch of the ground, criss-crossed with thinner, less prominent lines, poking the ground with his foot before allowing it to fully bear our weight. He was shaken, there was no doubt. "That was... Something," he stated lowly.
"Mhm," I hummed, fighting the urge to frantically look around, forcing my hand from clutching at his palm like a lifeline. I had decided on a plan while I was busy playing baby koala - not that there were many other options except to wander these god forsaken bare badlands until our painful demise. "Listen, Strange, I'm aware you don't hold my people in particularly high regard but you're going to have to trust me on this," my words came out derisive as I placed his palm on the back of my neck and kneeled, forcing him to do the same behind me.
The contents of my bag greeted me grimly with out last bottle of water and the couple knick-knacks that gathered the black dust on them. I hastily poured the water into a bowl, dipping my fingers in it, and added the crushed bones to the mixture.
The time that was required to make a paste-like mixture, I used to address a bewildered Stephen. "This is a last resort. I don't know if it will work, we're not on Earth," I briefly breathed my distress. "I don't even know how far we are from home. But I refuse to die here, in this grotesque Hell, without putting up a fight and Gaia has always looked out for her flock. I might get very, very sick if this is successful."
The warning had him attempt to object before he cast a long look around us, shoulders sagging, as motioned for me to continue, those piercing blue eyes boring into my face. "Tell me what do I need to do," his voice quietly attempted to soothe my very obvious fear.
I was terrified, both of dying, nameless, faceles in this world full of Nothing; the prospect of withering away after depleting all my resources was, perhaps, equally unappealing, but dying on my home planet sounded better than dying here. "Have faith," I replied curtly, beginning to chant softly under my breath as soon as Stephen's expression hardened.
My eyelids grew heavy, limbs filling with lead and molten lava as I summoned the forces of Mother itself; my body was aching, exhausted by answering her call as it was. The warm ball in my chest that previously comforted me grew, spreading its smelten power through every vein, every vessel. No part of my body was left cold. A sense of purpose filled me, pushing me forward, driving me to move, to run, to leap.
"This way," even to my own ears, my voice sounded pained. It felt as if I was walking through swamp waters, full of clay and debris, each step taking my barely coherent form through an individual bog full of pins and needles. The force of Mother Nature burned inside of me, enraged at the state of her surroundings.
Stephen spoke to me but all I could hear was mumbling, thousands of voices, low and shrill, unintelligible to the human mind. I could feel the sorcerer's pain; the itch and burn in his throat, the constant, dull throb in his scarred, broken hands. His hand in mine only intensified the situation and I fought with his injuries like I fought with the black dots in my eyes, I forced down the unpleasant sensations, setting fire to them, letting the reigns of control on the raging inferno within me slip just the smallest, tiniest bit.
The steps of his long feet stuttered as I felt the discomfort lessen yet I simply towed him along. Time leaked through the cracks in my eyes, which were mostly unseeing anyways. The useless things grew blind at some point, not that I noticed it on the greys and blacks of the surrounding scenery. It was harder to walk, my breathing grew laboured with the extertion as we finally reached the place that felt right.
"Here," I rasped, voice so quiet it could have been mistaken for a breeze. I craved to feel it; the soft puffs of wind, the sound of running water. I had called for Earth and she demanded its child back.
The portal appeared without a stutter even though Stephen's hands shook; I saw the uneven channels, the energies traveling through them at an uneven pace. As soon as I pushed through the wormhole, coming to my senses in an unfamiliar, light room, I fell to my knees.
Stephen's pained moaning told me he was probably experiencing the same stinging, burning sensation on his skin; my eyes, they were the worst - my eyeballs felt like they were melting, leaking out of my sockets into thick, gelatinous tears streaming down my face. I blindly groped for the sorcerer's hand, directing the forces within me to soothe his hurts much like I had done in the wastelands.
"Strange?!" A masculine, shocked voice exclaimed before footsteps crashed into my sensitive ears with the force of an elephant herd. "Oh my God, they're here! Tony, come!"
"Stop fucking screaming," Stephen gasped out as I felt him curl into himself.
"Friday, scan them," I recognised Tony's voice, the tiredness and desperation standing out in it more than it did in the rest of the whispers in the room.
"They appear to be experiencing a sensory overload. I would recommend to engage Peter's Cooldown mode," the mechanical voice replied, barely audible. The noise still grated on my ears after spending... How long were we gone?
"Do it, Fri," Tony's soft footsteps reached us; I smelled the spices of his cologne next to my and Stephen's prone forms. "You gave us a scare there," the tone was admonishing but gentle.
"We were scared shitless ourselves," I attempted to speak, only now noticing how grating my voice sounded. "We were in Hell," I mumbled to myself, slowly removing my hand from Stephen.
"That," he coughed up the word, breathing through his nose before speaking again, his voice sounding much better than mine. "That place was as close as possible to biblical pits I have ever seen," there was shuffling and gentle murmurs as the two men ensured each other of their presence and well-being.
The burning sensations receded back to my core, the embers of the fires dying out, leaving me feeling like deflated beach ball, all shell and no filling. With a groan, I rolled over onto my back right in the middle of the pristine carpet on the floor, forcing my eyes open and breathing through the pain until I could somewhat see the champagne coloured ceiling without black dots obstructing my vision.
Shuffling noises reached my ears as a familiar round face with light red hair came into my line of sight, Wanda's gentle features concerned. "Star, do you need to go to medical?" She eyed me almost suspiciously but the question was earnest.
The idea of a doctor fixing a magical burnout was bizarre to me, as if it ever was that easy; I chortled sardonically. "No, Wanda, there's nothing wrong with me that a doctor would be able to fix," I replied honestly. "I should call Odette."
"I've called, she said to notify her when you return," Sam's voice was gentle as he approached. I could feel him glaring daggers at a rapidly reddening Wanda. "She was the one who said you'll definitely come back," he offered me his hand.
I had to choke down a moan of relief as I grabbed it. The warmth, the life of another human being, the precious gift of a beating pulse under my fingertips was divine. "You should listen to her. She knows her stuff." It was easy, talking to Sam as if he was an old friend. He had one of the most pleasant auras I've seen on a human being.
"I'm a doctor," Stephen suddenly perched up, sounding almost bashful. "And I can aid the healing process," he stated over Tony's disgruntled mumbling. "If you can explain to me how the hell you managed to hold a... an entire sun's worth of energy!" The more he spoke the more bewildered he became, tone growing in pitch, ending the sentence with an exclamation.
"I don't know," I replied with a sigh. The whole indignation in this man, I was not prepared to face. "When I took this up," I gestured vaguely to the burned, bent metal adornments I began to remove off my body. "I thought I was going to get an increase in tips and a better outlook on life. Help my friend with her asthma as much so she wouldn't have to use her inhaler every time she gets suprised or scared," my jewelry hit the floor with a dull clank, piling up into bent silver I wouldn't even be able to cleanse and repurpose.
Sam whistled lowly, poking at a necklace that had twisted on itself, a grotesque spiral of dull ashen grey.
"I certainly didn't think that a bleeding mutant accepting his fate as cannon fodder will call for the Earth itself," my tone grew vicious. Exhaustion was nesting in my bones. "And that Mother Nature would take over my body, pour lava into my veins and bleed recklessness into my thoughts. But here I am, freshly out of Hell and alive and kicking."
A stunned silence was interrupted by Tony's frantic whispering. "You are not leaving my penthouse for the foreseeable future," as the weight of the incident set on him. The knuckles of his hand clutching Stephen's dirty tunic turned white.
"I am," Stephen eyed me with a strange look in his eye, as if he was seeing me for the first time. His eyes then turned to Tony, who'd began rambling, arguing with Stephen. The sorcerer stopped the word vomit with a grim confession. "I'd be dead if not for Starlight. I'd be meat and bone, splattered across a barren, radioactive land in the deepest, darkest pits of the universe."
I felt my face droop in slow-motion. My throat flexed, swallowing a thick lump of filthy mucus, I coughed up, "Ra-radioctive?" As soon as I could work my voice without it squeaking.

Frozen 3 concept
I'mma start off with explaining that I'm not the biggest fan of Frozen and I'm definitely not a fan of Elsa's character in general.
But as much as I love the songs and outfits of the second movie, the inconsistencies and how it never explains how sh🤬 works in the world with magic and such are just infuriating. As well as why the spirit that connects them controls ice which is just a variation of water. And how the Frozen franchise just loves to make Elsa more special within every installment.
I am so very tired of it. So I came up with a way that it could all be fixed and make sense if they make a third movie.
Also to note that Anna and Elsa are supposed to be two halves of the fifth spirit but that's VERY briefly touched in movie (quote: well actually a bridge has two sides and mother had two daughters) and Disney themselves take Elsa as the fifth spirit alone so that's stupid.
Why Elsa specifically controls ice
We all know how we're frustrated with the fact that Elsa is supposed to connect all the elements when she only controls ice.
But let's think about it from another prospective. The first movie is based about the seasons. It's a seasonal theme rather than an elemental theme like in its sequel. So why not bring that back?
The enchanted forest cannot be the ONLY place that has mystical spirits. What if there were three other forests with their own fifth spirits and each fifth spirit represented a season?
And each seasonal spirit's magic is a mix of two elements.
Elsa/Winter: Ice = water + air
Spring: Plants = water + earth
Summer: Lava = earth + fire
Fall: Lightning/Storms = air + fire
This still fits in with the fact that the fifth spirit can play back moments in time as well. Each spirit has their own Ahtohallan. Elsa's is made of ice because it's just frozen water and the water is was plays back those moments in time.
Spring's would be like an island made of plants, fungi and marsh. Plants have water running within them so they can take the form of moments in time like Elsa's ice statues.
Summer's would be a volcano with a river flowing through it. Lava and water can mix to create lava rocks. When doing so the memories within that water would be imbedded into the rocks they form and therefore be able to play moments in time as rock statues.
Autumn's would basically be a fog bank with almost ghostly figures making up the memories since fog is a mist, aka: water. Kinda like the scene where Elsa fights the wind spirit and their powers mix for a moment.
Where the others come from
For this, I decided to look around other lands within that side of the world that has legends of spirits. I decided upon:
Spring = Scotland
Summer = Arabia
Fall/Autumn = Japan
I chose for Arabia to be summer, of course , because it's a desert country so it very hot. Japan is autumn because it's culture and everything just always reminded be of the beauty of fall. And Scotland is spring because that's what was left and when I think of Scotland, I think of it's green forests and plants.
Nothing too deep.
Personalities
You think I'd make Summer hotheaded and spring, giddy and bouncy, right?
No, because you see, as I've stated in another post of mine; Why Frozen Doesn't Work In The Big Four, I explained how Elsa's personality reconciles more with summer. The opposite season of her own.
Elsa is kinda quiet, gentle, diplomatic, practical, worries silently and is angelically innocent (even though she doesn't deserve to be).
All are traits relating to summer. So if her personality is opposed to her season, then it'd be the same for the other fifth spirits.
Spring would be a leader, confident, energetic, true to a cause, dependable, easily irritated and stubborn.
Summer would be reserved, well mannered, a good listener, natural poise and pessimistic.
And autumn would be energetic, tender-hearted, optimistic, friendly and overly talkative.
How the spirits work
I fully believe that the spirits have no physical form but rather inhabit certain things. Basically possession but the spirits don't have control over themselves once they choose a vessel and depending on the solidarity of what their element is, determines what kind of vessel they need.
The wind spirit is said to be a playful spirit and would want to make its own choices. Being an element you can't hold, it doesn't really need a host.
Water is liquid and needs something to be it's host but doesn't necessarily need something alive. Therefore it can inhabit a small animal or it inhabits its own element, hence a water horse.
Fire isn't a solid or liquid but it's not necessarily a gas either. Fire always needs to burn on something in order to burn. Therefore it cannot just make out it's own body like water but it doesn't need a large vessel. Hence, a little salamander.
Earth is the most solid of them all so it would need multiple hosts in order to sustain itself. That's why there are multiple earth giants and not just one like the other spirits.
I believe the spirits don't have control over their actions once they choose a host because all the spirits (besides wind) seem to not know what's even going on most of the time. And that would explain why the spirits didn't get rid of the dam themselves, because their vessels didn't know that was the problem.
I also believe that they need a host to begin with because they are actually susceptible to death. As it has been confirmed that Elsa is NOT immortal and there wouldn't have been a legend of a fifth spirit if people hadn't seen one before.
It would also explain how the spirits drove the citizens out of Arendelle without physically being there; they managed to leave their hosts for a time in order to do so. Along with what the light that Elsa was following at Ahtohallan, was. The fifth spirit was able to sustain itself by staying in its birth place and activated the memory of Elsa's mom singing, to bring Elsa there and when Elsa's dress transforms is when the spirit possesses her.
Why does the fifth spirit need to be human? Because humans are more durable. The fifth spirit doesn't control anything completely solid like rock so it doesn't need multiple vessels but it also controls more than a single element, therefore is too much to figure out/control for just any animal.
That's why it chose a very young child to give it's powers to rather than the person who actually did the deed of saving their enemy. It needs to be someone who will have the time to learn and control their powers by adulthood.
(Despite Elsa not truly being worthy and being a horrible sister, she was already chosen at birth and she at least gets the job done. At everyone else's expense but still.)
Plot
How would the seasonal spirits meet? Why would they leave their homes for this? What brings them together?
The four sided snowflake represents the elements connected to the winter spirit. Every season would have their own version of this. But there are also four seasons just like there are four elements.
Tumblr media
So, could there be a fifth spirit for the fifth spirits? A fifth spirit to connect the seasons and if so, what is it? What's their power?
I believe, much like the winter spirit called to Elsa, the ultimate fifth spirit will call all the seasonal spirit's to come together at a single location. Anna would come with Elsa as well, of course, and during their journey, they'd all eventually meet each other along the way.
Eventually Anna would start to feel a little neglected when Elsa keeps talking to / about the other people who also have magic. Anna doesn't wish for magic, but she wishes for Elsa to finally see herself and Anna as equals (because Elsa clearly wouldn't after finding others like herself, let's be real). So Anna goes off to have her own sort of "Show Yourself" moment and is the one to find the location they've been looking for which is where she becomes their fifth spirit; the Aurora Borealis.
It was in one of the original scripts for the first movie that Anna was gonna have the power to control the Aurora Borealis, but then the creators decided that took away from Elsa's agency for self isolation due to her powers.
It's true that Anna having been able to accomplish what she did without powers is one of her best attributes but Anna becoming the light spirit is really the only way she's gonna get any appreciation within the fan base or the disney community. Plus Anna's done all the work to begin with so she deserves it.
With the other spirits being seasonal & elemental, it would only make sense for the one to connect them all would be light.
But all the spirits also have an opposite to balance them out:
Fire | Water
Earth | Air
Winter | Summer
Spring | Autumn
So maybe the reason they were all being called there is because Light's opposite is Darkness and it's plotting to take them all out. They are in charge of keeping balance and darkness wants to create chaos. But you also need darkness for balance, so maybe someone else will be with them through the journey and become the vessel for darkness in order to control it. Because, again, spirits have no control once they have a host.
This could be a possible redemption arc for Hans. We could learn about what he's been through and what truly drove him to be the bad guy because from what we know of his brothers, they were really bad. I think he just really lost a nerve due to unintentional (or intentional) abuse and was trying to prove to his family that he was better than they believed. People who suffer from abuse can be irrational like that.
I think it would be a phenomenal thing for him to overcome his inner darkness while also taking control of the literal spirit of darkness.
Metaphorical-wise it's beautiful.
Art/Designs
I edited the other seasons + Anna off of concept art for Elsa's white dress while Hans is kinda my own creation but I still used his concept art for a base. Everything after that are purely original.

"SO, WHAT DO YOU think?" Your friend's voice was drowned out by the music blasting from the speakers. Neon lights pulsed to the bass of Chase Atlantic's "Swim", a song that had been put into your playlist only recently. "Cool, right?"
You reached up and adjusted the neck of your shirt. "Yeah, a bit cold though—are all strip clubs like this?"
When you had accepted the job to make some extra cash to squeeze you through the last semester of college, it had been a no brainer. The Valeria was one of the most prominent clubs in Eden, frequented by both angels and demons alike, contrary to what your adopted parents had told you when you were nineteen. You lucked out with your best friend being the owner of the establishment.
"Yeah, the cold keeps people from getting sleepy and wanting to go home which, in turn, encourages them to spend more money." Kiyoko shrugged and you laughed at her nonchalant tone. "Anyway, the girls are rehearsing before the night starts. There's a fight club down the street and a lot of the fighters like to pop in when their adrenaline's high."
"I bet it doesn't hurt that some of them won cash," you joked lightly. "Devils or angels?"
"Both. Just keep an eye out for our regulars. Lev will point them out to you." Kiyoko pointed to the desk manager who, even from your distance, seemed to be a lanky giant. He waved when you looked over. "He's harmless. A bit tone deaf, but harmless. If you ever need help just go to him."
"Gotcha." You waved back tentatively and looked to the stage where girls were practicing and laughing. "So, do I go over there or…?"
Kiyoko shook her head and pointed to the bar. "No, I'm starting you off at the bar. You were a pretty good bartender from what I remember so you can do what you're familiar with."
Your relief was palpable. "Thanks, Kiyoko. I don't think dancing is what I'm good at anyway."
"You're welcome. Let me know if you want to back out, okay?" She crossed her arms. "A lot of the customers can be a bit… much."
"It's okay, I've dealt with rude customers before," you reassured her. "I'll just be making drinks right?"
"Yeah, but the uniform is pretty revealing. Just be careful."
Kiyoko wasn't lying. When she finally left you to get ready, you discovered the level of skimpiness with your own eyes.
It was, in a sense, just a plain black bikini with a crystal body harness for taste. That might not have been so bad if it hadn't been made deliberately a size too small and threatened to show your assets if you even breathed wrong. While the body harness was flattering to your curves, you couldn't help but be nervous by the amount of skin you were showing.
Paired with black strappy heels, you looked like you had stepped right out of a Maxim magazine. That was probably what Kiyoko had intended.
With a sigh, you exited the bathroom and headed towards the bar. Lev flagged you down before you could get there, though, and curious, you approached him, an unintentional sway in your step from the heels.
"Hey, [Name]! I'm Lev, nice to meet you." He offered his hand and you shook it, afraid to be seen as rude if you didn't. "Kiyoko forgot to give you your ID so I dug one out from the storage room. Don't lose it."
He handed you a lanyard with a plastic card on it. It was a generic identification card with nothing special about it, except your name taped to the top part on a sticker.
"Thanks." Lev smiled at you and you couldn't help but notice the peculiar color of his eyes and hair. "If it's okay to ask, Lev, are you…?"
"Human? Nope." He snickered at the look on your face. "Don't look so scared, it's fine. I'm a devil. Kiyoko recruited me when fighting didn't pan out for me."
"So that's common among your… kind?" This was all so new to you. You reached up and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. Lev tracked the movement idly, as if he couldn't help it. "Fighting, I mean."
"Yeah. Devils are notorious for their high tempers," he explained. "Fighting usually helps that. Or sex, but that's a personal preference. You might get propositioned a few times but that's normal."
"I see." You rubbed your elbows and rocked back on your heels. "Is there anything I should be worried about?"
"Not really. Just stay away from the Aoba Johsai devils if you can. They're pretty obvious and travel in a tight knit group. The only trustworthy person in it is Iwaizumi Hajime, I'd say, so you can serve him." Lev shrugged. "Though he's not coming in on your shift. There's a lot of fights going on tonight."
"Okay. Thanks, Lev."
"No problem."
Your first night as bartender went without a hitch, unless you counted the few guys who hit on you every chance they got. It wasn't rowdy, which you assumed was from the fights going on, and you managed to clock out with a decent paycheck and a tiredness that was seeping into your bones.
As you walked out the front doors, waving goodbye to Lev—he seemed nice enough, regardless, and you needed new friends in Eden now that you were taking online classes—you stepped out into what you could only guess was the line to the fight club.
It ran almost two blocks, people wearing unusual chic clothes to watch someone's face get beaten in. The line consisted primarily of girls, you noticed, and adjusted the straps of your gym bag on your shoulder.
You prepared to turn on your heel and head to your apartment in North Eden, where the humans lived, when something told you to turn around and check out the fight club. It wasn't as if you had anything to do at the moment, and your classes had been delayed for next week due to the school's security issues. You would be bored out of your mind at home, you knew, but you side eyed the line and the multiple people lining it.
Maybe not…
"You must be [Name]."
You jumped in fright when the doors opened behind you. Reflexively, you made a first, but when you saw the familiar face of the girl who had been on stage, you sighed in relief. "Sorry. I'm just jumpy."
"That's fine." She smiled to reveal perfect white teeth. Her hair made you sick with envy; long, auburn curls that dangled down to her hips in thick ringlets. "I'm Lulu. I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself inside."
"No, no it's okay. You were practicing." You smiled in return. Then, you pointed to the line of people. "Are they always this long?"
"To Yulara?" Lulu inquired. "Yeah. The lines depend on the fighters. They have an elite lineup tonight. Why? Did you want to go?"
She took the sheepish expression that crawled over your face as an affirmative.
"Alright. Come on." Lulu linked her arm through yours and, with little difficulty, began skipping through the line. People parted like the dead sea for her and you were just dragged along for the ride. "I'll get you in. Consider it a welcome gift!"
"Are you sure we should be skipping these people?"
"Of course. We work at Valeria; we have VIP passes," Lulu replied cheerfully. At the front of the line was a bouncer dutifully checking people in and stamping their wrists with ultraviolet ink. "Hey, Aone! This is [Name]. She's new and wanted to see the fights."
You expected him to be suspicious of you. He was quite intimidating, eyes narrowed and his height did nothing but terrify you. Instead, with a quick movement, he marked your wrist and sent you inside.
Lulu grinned. "Thanks, Aone. I'll see you when I get home."
Bewildered, you glanced between her and the now blushing male, then back to Lulu. She shrugged and put a finger over her lips. You mimed zipping yours in response.
Lulu escorted you down a flight of stairs that led into a wide open room filled with people. In the center was a circle of wire and fence, keeping what looked like a pit closed off. You could only guess that's where there were people fighting.
"This is where I leave you." She patted your back. "Have fun! Don't drink the wine though, people always roofie it before the fights start."
"Oh. Okay." You smiled. "Thanks again."
"No problem." With a wave she retreated back up the stairs.
You took a deep breath and looked back towards the ring, your curiosity taking over. Clutching your gym bag, you began to pave your way through the crowd, unaware of the familiar face flashing across an LED screen over the door.

So uhh apologies if the reader seems op but like... 👉👈
"Ugh frickin rain" you muttered to yourself.
You made your way to a little cafe where it's said to be where passione stays most the time.
You were from the hitman team, your job? To get some information about the boss.
The door of the cafe opens with a ringing sound. (those little bells that go on doors)
You quickly sneak your way towards the restrooms. Your stand [Transit of Venus] let you time travel anywhere, anytime as anybody, but that was after you had heard the voice, she used to only be able to let you sing like a siren allowing you to control others.
You had traveled to a different universe a while back a universe where it was mostly animals, but the thing was, they could talk.
You managed to find your universal counterpart, it's name was Caramella. You used your stand to bring Caramella to you, "what is it this time?" You whispered the plan to her as she nodded. She changed into a more normal looking cat (according to your universe).
She walked out of the bathroom and started to track the team. You had equipped a tiny camera on the cats collar allowing you to whisper commands to the cat and letting you watch what was happening.
You went to leave the cafe to go to the alley in the back when you smacked into somebody.
"Judging by the looks and height this is Bruno Bucciarati...".
"Many apologies M'am I wasn't looking where I was going!"
"Hey he's pretty cute for somebody that's apparently the bad guy"
"Keep it together Sonata(nickname)"
The voice in your head spoke nobody knew about him, you two fell in love and were put in a situation in which he was deemed the villain.
But that was many years ago.
"Sorry sir I was lost in my thought, I should be going now I'm kinda in a rush. I hope to see you soon!"  You faked a smile after all it wasn't too hard you had to do it often. The fake words you spit out made you feel sick, you hated lying to an innocent person but you were required to.
You quickly left to go to the alley.
"Just in time!" You whispered as you pulled out the laptop.
Thank goodness you were being protected by the roof otherwise your computer would have been soaked.
Caramella's POV/3rd person
(underline is Caramella's thought/speech)
"This is Giorno Giovanna he will be joining our gang, I expect you respect him." Bruno finished talking and held his arms out presenting Giorno.
"Excuse me Bucciarati, Somebody wants to see you." A waiter had walked in, he seemed worried.
"Giorno Giovanna? He smells familiar..."
Caramella thought as she sniffed.
There had been some tension in the group right before Giorno and Bruno had arrived but it had come to a sudden halt.
You walked out into the open near a man with a purple shirt(?) "it doesn't matter if I'm seen after all I'm just a cat aren't I? And judging by the height.... he's definitely Abbacchio"
"maow mew meow"  Caramella said as she pawed at the man holding a teapot. (I could make him piss on you but nah)
"What in he world is he- oh I see...."
You leaped onto the table finally noticed by the rest of the gang. You laid down and started to purr on command. You were picked up by somebody dressed in orange and black was this Narancia?
You were being pet on your head by the boy. You then focused your eyes on the purple wearing male.
"Here you go..."  he says as he hands the "tea" to Giorno. Your eyes shifted over to Giorno then back down to the cup. You drowned out their speech and jumped out of Nara's arms over onto Giorno's shoulder. (God jump)
You pawed at his hair moving it around causing him to glance to his side.
Thats when you saw it.
"*beep* Caramella, Don't let him drink that...*beep*"(earpiece from y/n)
You hopped down away from the star on the boy's shoulder and onto the table. Giorno picked up the cup and raised it. He froze, "what's wrong?" Abbacchio teases. Giorno sets it down to regain his thought.
His hand reaches for the cup when you quickly slid your paw into the handle. "Awww it's holding like a human!!!!!" Narancia says in awe. You ignored him and you smacked the cup off the table. "What the-.... *whispers* damn cat." Abbacchio sighs.
"*beep* That Star.... we need to get more info..*beep*"  y/n's voice was quiet enough not to be heard.  Bruno came back into the room
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!? I COULD HEAR YOU ALL THE WAY OUTSIDE!"
You jumped back onto the table and meowed.
"Uh- who's cat is that?"
Narancia replies "Mine now!"
"Hold on it has a collar." The man you assumed to be Fugo said. He reaches over towards you grabbing the collar. "Bucciarati did you happen to run into anybody suspicious today?"
"It depends, why are you asking?"
Fugo take off the collar and hands it to Bruno.
"There's a little light on it, and I don't know about you but I've never seen a light up collar."
You leapt from Fugo's arms and ran over to the window pawing it asking to be let out.
"Sorry kitty but you're staying with us." Bruno says.
Y/n's POV
"Aughhhhh crapcrapcrapCRAP!"
You decided to act innocent and play the victim, "Say sonata? You don't think Giorno could be-"
"I think it is..."
You walked up to the doors of the cafe and went in.
"Caramella! Caramellllaaaa!"
You noticed that most of the customers had left due to the gang's commotion earlier.
You went to the room Caramella and the gang were in. "Caramella? CARAMELLA!"
"Caramella there you are you little rat!"
You scooped the cat up, "sorry about her, if she smells any kind of sweets she goes to the source."
"So this is your cat, no?" Bruno said.
You quickly nodded with a plastered smile on your face.
"Did you know your cat has some sort of tracking device on it?"
"Yup i use it to find her when she runs off!"
"Well I'm afraid we're going to have to remove it."
You begin slowly walking backwards, ready to call out your stand.
Giorno finally glances at you and freezes.
"You seem familiar, Do I know you?".
Abbacchio perks up, "You say you know her?".
Narancia,Fugo and Mista stand there watching this go down.
"Perhaps" You go up and grab Caramella's collar and run out of the room.
Narancia calls out [Aerosmith] and starts to chase you down with it.
The rest of the gang follows.
"There's no way I'm using my stand, my cover isn't fully blown yet is it?"
"Sonata are you serious...."
You ignored the voice and continued running.
You slammed open the cafe's doors.
"Oof!" You had tripped on the steps to the outside. You were about to hit the ground when you suddenly ended upright at the bottom of the STAIRS. (hint hint nudge nudge)
"Thanks..." "No problem Sonata".
You were too slow a hand grabbed your shoulder and pulled you back,
It was Abbacchio.
"Alright alright I admit defeat..."
"Who are you and why was there some sort of tracking device on the cat?"
"Okay first off it's a camera, and secondly the cats name is Caramella, mine on the other hand is Y/n..."
"Y/n...." Giorno thinks about where he knows the name but comes up empty.
"Awwww I wanted a cat..." Narancia whines.
"Car-a-mel-la four syllables AND a cat..."(idk I hardly remember learning syllables).
You cleared your throat ready to drop a hint at Giorno as to where he knew you from. (Italics and bold is the voice speaking using y/n's body)
"Well I'd better not waste my only option to speak, So Giorno, You said you knew me?"
You brushed off your shirt and fixed your hair.
"Anyways luv I'd like to talk more but I gotta go" maybe just maybe you could pull it off.
"Yeah no..." Abbacchio pulls out his stand [Moody Blues] and punches you knocking you unconscious.
"What the, Where am I?" You muttered
"Caramella?".
"Oh she's awake!" Narancia runs toward you holding a dark blue object.
"Oh Caramella." You pulled the cat away from Narancia.
(Did I mention Caramella has an English accent) "Thank you sooo much y/n I was beginning to start suffocating."
"Huh? IT CAN TALK?!" Narancia's mouth hung open as he stared at you and the cat.
"Mhhhm"
The rest of the gang found their way over to you and Caramella.
Bruno makes his way to the front of the gang
"Okay first off, who do you work for? Secondly
Are you a stand user?"
"Who I USED to work for is not important, and what's it to you?"
"So you are?" "What makes you think that?"
"Well you know what a stand is for starters and we all saw you trip on the steps and somehow end up on your feet."
"Okay yes I am a stand user."
Abbacchio cuts in "and what are your abili-"
"Yeah Sonata's not gonna answer that"
Abbacchio's face changed into one of confusion
"Okay for a moment there I thought you spoke but that sounded waaaay too masculine for a girl." (Did u just assume my gender >:0)
You ignored him and carried on with your current task, Identifying where you were.
"Okay light rocking, it's pretty dark, this seems to be a bedroom of some sort, ah a boat of course!"  You said out loud to yourself
"You're definitely pretty weird..." Fugo said
"They seem kinda cute." Mista whispers to Fugo. Fugo smacked Mista's arm, "HEY THAT HURT!"
"I like their cat..." Narancia says as he tries to reach for the cat again. You pulled Caramella away but then Caramella gives you
"The Look™️" so you handed her over to the small boy.
"I think one of us should watch her." Abbacchio states in a stern tone.
"I'll do it!" Mista shouts.
"Yeah no." Fugo says
"I can!" Narancia says "actually we need to work on your multiplication." (Bruh)
"I'm sure I co-" Giorno gets cut off
"No."
"I can't I need to steer the yacht, speaking of steering I should go back." Bruno says as he walks away.
"I guess I will." Abbacchio says.
You sat on the bed staring into the darkest corner of the room. Watching, waiting for everyone to leave. Giorno hasn't left yet he stayed there staring at you.
"You can leave now."
"Actually let him stay."
Abbacchio raised an eyebrow at your words.
You look over for Caramella only to find that Narancia had taken her. You snapped you fingers and your stand brought Caramella to you, "C'mon!" You heard Narancia shout in the distance.
You caressed Caramella's Fur, and stared at Giorno. Giorno walked over to you,Abbacchio just watched.
"I should have known it was you, that birthmark, those Turquoise eyes, your blond hair..."   you felt tears begin to form but you couldn't cry in front of them, forget it.
"It's just where do I know you from?"
"That I can't tell you"
Abbacchio seemed to be really interested I your conversation with Giorno. A golden stand came out and began to flip off Abbacchio as you continued to cry.
"It's fine Sonata he'll find out"  the voice says using his stand to comfort you.
Abbacchio stares clearly offended.
You stopped your crying and spoke once more "since you wanted to know what my stand could do it can do this."
Of course you weren't going to show him your stand ability you were going to use the voice.
"Okay let's do this"
"Okay"
In a flash your hair turned blond and your eyes turned red, you still stayed a female though you weren't going to let them know what all you could do.
"I- you look." Giorno pulls out his wallet and opens it.
He pulls out a picture and gasps.
Abbacchio grabs you and starts to question if you could change your appearance any more than your hair and eyes.
"You're... but you're a girl... He's been dead"
Giorno stutters his sentence out.
"Lemme cut right to it, I am Y/n but also "Him".  I'm like this because I... well I, I fell in love with him."
"But that would make you older than Bruno"
"Hehe wayyyy older..."
"It was back then I decided to befriend a guy named Jonathan and I then met "him" . I got along just fine with everybody but I was drawn to him, he seemed to trap me in a maze and I never found the exit. Eventually there was this mask and hear me out it turned you into a vampire, now I ended up joining his side and using the mask on myself, we ruled together, we fought Jonathan and eventually Jonathan supposedly won but unknown to him he was still alive. He ended up taking Jonathan's body only to die in the boat Jonathan and his wife were on.
Later after a long time of hiding from the sun I found out that Jonathan's wife, Erina survived and had a daughter which then gave birth to Joseph Joestar. I'll admit he was pretty cute. No he wasn't. Shut up.
I ended up befriending the lad and found myself in yet another bizarre situation. Fighting three ancient men... that created the stone masks... so I ended up helping one of them for my own benefit, you see there was this stone that was needed to make vampires immune to sunlight and I needed that. So I helped him achieve it but only if I got to use it as well.
Long story short I became immune to the sun, but he in the other hand was defeated along with the rest of his comerades. I then ended up watching Joseph from afar. He ended up having a daughter which then gave birth to Jotaro Kujo. I soon found out that the same man from my childhood wasn't dead but instead hiding away.
I then pretended to run into Joseph and tried to join him. He turned me down but that didn't stop me. I then began to watch him as he and  four others travel the world to save holly(holy) Joseph's daughter. I was then discovered by one of the Vampire's servants, I was shot with an arrow. I then acquired my stand [Transit of Venus], but I was then knocked unconscious and controlled. Sorry...
I ended up finding myself in perfect condition laying down in front of these crusaders.
They then let me join their team.
We ended up losing many people on our way to Egypt, I really only cared for one of them.
(Your choice)  We then found the Vampire, I had to fight him. everybody else was either unconscious or dead so I had no choice.
My heart was begging me not to hurt him, that's when I found out my stand,
[Transit of Venus] could fuse/morph. It was a random ability.
I then acted as if I killed him but I really didn't. We morphed and I ended up getting two stands, somehow along the way his ability ended up changing into time travel.
So with our stands together we could time travel, teleport, morph and control people.
I never use it that often because I'm afraid I'll hurt somebody I love. But that was that oh and I ended up helping the next Joestar generation kill a murderer."
"The fu-" Abbacchio begins to say
Until you cut him off again.
"So yes I am Dio"

Chapter 7
Tumblr media
     Drip.. drip.. drip.
It seemed like ages had passed since the creature had left you, the stench still filled the cave. The slow throbbing in your head wouldn't go away, the rolling nausea was ever present, and your shoulders were beginning to ache from being pulled back for so long.
You kept testing the chains trying to pull them apart but you couldn't gain any leverage. Anger fueled you, you had tried more then once to stand but found your arms had not only been looped multiple times but also shackled to the rock wall behind you. You needed to get home, needed to protect your family, and hell or high water that bastard wouldn't lay a single hair on any of their heads if you had anything to do with it, especially Luca.
———
"What is it Bucky?" Steve asked, wincing as he stood to his full height looking in the same direction that his friend did. The corner of Bucky's mouth pulled up as the dust cloud continued to get bigger and the figure dead center became larger.
"My Silver lining." Bucky smirked, Steve watched as figure really began to take shape. It was a man, running faster then any other man he had ever seen, except one. His hair, dark at the root faded to silver, whipped lightly around the back of his back from the speed he was going. Steve's eyes widen, realizing who it was.
"Great, another vampire." Loki muttered under his breath as he rolled his eyes.
"Pietro." Bucky stated as the man slowed down to a leisurely walk.
"Hey Buck." He replied taking Bucky's out stretched hand. "Steve. So good news and bad news."
"Let me guess, you remembered that you have purpose in your bleak existence and you forgot to put antiperspirant on?" Loki jabbed as he walked around looking at foot prints in attempt to find which way the offending beasts had went.
Pietro shot the wolf a look, his teeth started to descend. His pale eyes slowly turned red, every muscle tightened.
"Loki, if you must make comments please keep them to yourself." Bucky snapped, the wolf rolled his eyes again and let out a dramatic sigh.
"As I was about to tell you, you sent me to find out if there were any other hunters. Good news is there is none in any of the surrounding towns or the ones over." Pietro relayed, his light accent catching on some of the words. "However a lot of the towns have turned into.. hang on, what happened here?"
"Oh, just the wolves decided to lay out an entire building." Steve told him as he pulled up his shirt, the wound had healed leaving a small red scratch behind.
"Oh, I do believe you help." Loki snarled, Thor ignoring everyone as he kept his nose to the ground, his coat catching the beginning rays of moonlight shining lightly.
"I wasn't the one that went through the supporting wall of the building." Steve shot back.
"No, you threw one of the stench filled vile creatures into a support beam taking down the second level." Loki retorted, his eyes taking on an emerald color as he squared up to the man.
     "Enough!" Bucky commanded.
"That wasn't what I meant. This town was thriving when I came through here months back. Filled with people and children playing in the street, now it's a ghost town like the rest." Pietro explained walking between Steve and Loki, ignoring the angered looks between them.
"I've got them!" Thor snarled, his head snapping up, looking off towards the plains before him.
"Good, find y/n and decimate them!" Bucky all but snarled, anger filled his voice.
Loki grinned at Steve as his bones and muscle began to move, shifting before the vampire to the wolf he was. Eyes bright green locking onto Steve's red before turning and sprinting to his brother. Steve's lips curled up in disgust, Loki knew how much Steve hated seeing the transformation.
"Bucky, is it possible? This stench, Wanda and I encounter it before, long before we met you. I thought they were gone." Pietro said, worrying undertones came through in his voice.
"I'm afraid it is." Bucky replied, as he started to walk in the direction the wolves had taken. "Pietro, follow the wolves."
"What is it then?" Steve asked, following, watching as the man rushed out.
Bucky took a deep breath, not really wanting to say what they were out loud. He watched as Pietro caught up to the wolves passing them with ease.
"What can't you keep up?" He heard the silver haired vampire call out. No doubt Loki thinking about ripping him to pieces.
——
"Wanda, what's the matter?" Clint asked as he held Luca for moment after readying himself to go with the others to find Bucky like he had asked of them.
"I just have this really bad feeling, like death." She replied, staring out the windows that looked over the forest. The moonlight turning the leaves silver, everything looking calm and serene out there but she couldn't shake this feeling.
"Oh, don't curse me now." Clint laughed lightly as he handed her back the child.
"Clint, you and the others be careful." She told him with earnest, she looked back at her family.
Each one ready, for what battle they didn't know but the fact y/n and Steve had missing for two nights and Bucky and the wolves had yet to return meant there would be a battle. Vision walked over to her and kissed her forehead gently, he smiled down at her. Usually he had a calming effect on her but tonight it made the uneasiness in her stomach worse.
"We'll be back soon, I promise." He told her.
"Vis." She sighed as he stepped away and walked back to the rest.
The family left without another word, taking off into the night. She knew they would be able to catch up Bucky and the rest fairly easily as Bucky would of left a trail for them to find. It wasn't that she was worried they wouldn't be able to find a place to hunker down before daylight hit. No, it was the sense of pure dread.
She could felt the tightening in her chest, one she hadn't felt in years.
Shadows, wraiths, pure evil. Ones that killed adult humans for fun if they didn't find them useful, they stole children, brainwashed them so they could turn them into more of their kind. Wanda held Luca a bit tighter as his finger curled around her auburn hair.
——-
You screamed at the top of your lungs as you pulled as hard you could against the chains feeling the small bones in your hands begin to snap and dislocate. The chains slowly, centimeter by centimeter began to slide down your injured hands. Tears trickled down your cheeks as the pain began to become almost unbearable but you didn't relent. You kept pulling your body forward, away from the chains that were tethered to the wall of the cave.
You heard the metal of the last loop ring against the floor as the last chain slid down and you brought your arms in front of your body and pulled you broken hands to your chest. It would take them a bit but they heal.

Creepypasta OC
Pablo and Lilly #digitalart #creepypasta
About the characters:
Both are related.
The man in the chair is called Pablo...
No wait.
I'll just let them speak.
Lilly:
Hello!
My name is Lilly Ork and I'm 4 years old.
I like pandas and bears, because they are really cute!
I also like listening to my papa. He always gives me something fun to do!
I don't like lemons. They make me want to throw up, also I don’t like chilies, but I like cakes! Papa doesn’t let me to eat them so much though.
I don’t have a mama or grandpa and grandma. I saw papa kill them.
I don’t go to school either. Papa said that that's a bad idea.
Daddy told me that when I was little I met my grandma and grandpa once. They didn’t like me, when I asked about my mommy he said she didn’t like me either!
I didn’t mind it though. As long as papa gives me Pat's on the head and buys me new toys every time an old one gets dirty I don’t mind!
I have long brown hair made in pigtails, with such cute pink ribbons I took from a girlie I saw on the street. She got really mad at me, her mommy too. So papa took her out that night! Then he gave me the ribbons!
I wear a really pretty one piece dress with paws print on it! Papa bought me that dress recently, but from being nice white color it turned red, the brown. When I asked my papa about it, he told me that red color changes to brown when dry. I think I missed a part then.
One day I got really sick, my eye was really itchy, so papa and I went to see a doctor.
Papa then told me that I had Heterochromia. I'm not sure what that means. He gave me an eyepatch to hide one of my eyes.
I have a story on that too. Little while ago I got lost in a supermarket. Papa and I were out shopping for trash bags and something to eat. An old lady found me there. She told me I have beautiful eyes. Apparently I have one green and one blue eye.
Papa was mad at me for going off on my own, but he praised me for finding another annoying victim.
I don’t speak much, papa doesn’t like noise, so I'm quiet. I don’t really like to speak either. Now that I think about it, I don’t like hearing other people talk. Papa always talks to me and with me but I don’t hate it. Because its papa.
When I'm alone with papa and not haunting annoying people, we usually draw and collect things. I like doing that!
It's really fun to collect rocks and then draw on them!
What I dislike to do is talking with older men. They always look weirdly at me. My papa too dislikes them.
I cant read or write but papa is teaching me!
I can now read headlines of newspapers alone!
I really like my teddy bear. This is 3rd one already.
Kill?
I like to give poison to people my papa points out to me.
I usually walk to a person papa doesn’t like and then lead them astray!
Then my papa strangles them!
If not that, then I put white poisonous powder I have in my teddy bear.
People don’t suspect anything. That's weird.
Well it was nice talking to you!
Papa is behind you though. His eyes are telling me that both of us were quiet annoying and noisy just now!
Good bye! It was nice talking to you!
Eren:
My name is Eren Ork. I am 24 years old, a collage drop out and orphan.
Well not to then full extent, as you will hear later on, I killed my mother, father and step brother.
Why?
Because I was bored and they were all annoying.
That's what I hate the most, annoying people.
This is my story. It's not short but well, listen to it while you still can.
I've been alone since I can remember.
I grew up in a rich family.
"Next heir of our cooperation"
"He is so smart he can do anything."
Well, I would've stayed if my mother wasn’t a cunt like she was.
She would force me to study and made me spend my hours watching my father work.
Maybe because she wasn't even sure if I was my father's child.
As far as I know, I'm a single child. An only son of the CEO, and like I said only one who can actually take over the company.
So I was adored and respected to some point.
I learned how to act.
Sing.
How to play a piano.
And how to hate my family.
I never went to actual school. Other then my mother's abuse in a way, I was always alone. So when I turned 12.
I discovered something really amusing.
"We are reporting. The several killings that have been going on. As the reporters from the scene are reporting. In this small house, like you can see. We found multiple bodies. Their skin was used as a canvas, is what the policeman are stating. It is still..."
My face was glued to the screen.
The fact, that someone could do something like that, amused me. It seemed interasting. I wanted to try it.
But...
"What are you doing?! Aren’t you supposed to study?!" My mother was screaming at me from the door to my room. She's so loud and annoying.
"Get away from that. Damien! Take that thing out of my son's room!" So loud.
"You move away from that thing!" She stomped next to me, and grabbed me for my arm and pulled me up.
"Let me go, you loud hag." Is what I told her.
She just frowned and slapped me.
I felt it, I wanted to return her the same favor. But my father was behind her.
"Just what do you think you are doing?!"
That night, they fought through the whole night.
I just thought.
"Oh. This is fun"
For the 1st time in my whole life I found something fun. Yes, the 1st time.
Due to my actions and absence, my father bought me a cat. It was loud so I killed it. Then the dog, then the hamster, then they just gave up on buying me pets. I would always think of some reason on how they died. I couldn't tell them I liked how when they kinda screamed.
So, when the tutors would come in...
I would make them turn away.
Leaving my father and mother the only other option to educate me.
Boarding school.
When I was 15. I got sent into the boarding school. It was a private school, which are usually boarding schools. Unlike other rich boys I was thrilled to get sent into one.
I was away from that annoying mother. But...
Now there were some adults with no real status giving me orders...
So annoying.
It wasn't an only boys school so.
"Hey Pablo is kind of handsome?"
"I know right. His brown hair and eyes are so special!"
To let you know. I have dark brown hair and green eyes. I was told a lot that my Emerald like eyes resemble my mother's, never saw her in color, and my hair kind of resembles my father's. That's why they probably suspect me not being an true Ork, but a bastard child of some sort. And my build, well it was normal. I had height, but I wasn't anything special really. So...
"Ahhh. I wonder how would be to date him." "His family cant reach mine though" I never understand those girls.
So they are annoying.
I want them to go away.
"Hey" I spoke in a normal tone. I didn't want to let them know I'm pissed off. More like "They are giving me a headache."
"Oh sorry." The girls looked at me surprised. Only one of them spoke.
They had sad faces on. I couldn't care less. I would like to see them all cry. Maybe I could mess with them for a bit.
I could only grin on that idea. The fact I didn't think of something like that for so long....
So by the time I was about to graduate. I was considered popular in my school.
People would want to talk to me.
For the first time in my whole life, what my bitch of mother thought me paid off.
I was popular, I had fun ruining people's lives.
Until I mention the rest. For the whole 4 years I haven't visited my mother or father. I couldn't stand idea of them.
I haven't seen them or talked to them for 3 or 4 years. My boarding school didn’t allow parent visits, so I saw them at the day of graduation for the 1st time after 3 years.
"God. You've grown so much Pablo." My mother was standing in front of me. When I was 14 I was still looking up at her, now I have to look down to be able to follow her. She had her hand on my cheek. She was crying. I still didn’t understand it. She was also annoying. But during my time here. Other then good grades and popularity. I gained ability to fake my feelings quiet easily.
Not that I felt any.
I just smiled at my mother. "You've gotten older mother.".
"Well aren’t you mister obvious."
My father was staring at me from the side. He had a grown on his face.
You asshole.
What so I don't take after you anymore so you get all cold with me.
After the graduation ceremony. I returned home. And started collage.
In collage it was the same as high school. This time it wasn't a private school. My father's business was falling apart.
He also held a grudge against me never visiting home.
Like I care.
In collage, I met an interesting girl.
She was from a poor family and liked me.
So we started dating.
It was a good way for me to try out discovering "love".
Since it seems like my mother is planning something. Just to be ready.
One day, she called me drunk and came to visit her.
And we slept together.
And then, the bitch disappeared.
She dare disappear after using my body.
And year later, she appeared. But this time she had a baby with her.
An ugly worm.
BITCH.
Ahh
Annoying.
Annoying.
Annoying. Annoying.
They are all annoying.
She gave the brat to me and left again. Like hell.
"What the hell?! Just what do you think you just did?!" Screamed my mother at me as I was left in a hallway, door just closed with 2 month old baby in my hands.
Tch.
"Now no one would want to wed you! You idiot chil--" next thing I knew was that my grip was on my mother's neck. "You are so annoying and loud. Another word and Ill snap that God damn neck of yours." I let her down.
Baby was just looking at me, she didn't cry. Just stared. That took my interest.
"I will be in my room."
"Pablo! Get back here!" I walked away listening to my mother scream my name as I went up the stairs to my room.
I was 20 when I got my daughter in my hands.
Pretty young.
She was the only quiet one. She cried first few months until she turned one. After that she didn't cry almost at all.
My father and mother didn’t like Lilly one bit. So when she turned one I dropped out of collage and was kicked out of my house.
I saved money over the course of my birthdays from age 18 to 20 and had enough money to get myself a apartment and small job.
.
.
.
Hah.
You think that's the end of my story?
Of course not.
When Lilly turned 2.
I went back to my house. Just to show Lilly her family.
There I met, a boy. He was around 10 years old. Heh. My parents adopted another child. To rise him as their company's successor.
Hahahaha.
Apparently, my father's company got big after I left.
They didn't even bother to tell me, to visit their only son.
I put Lilly down and snapped.
I killed my whole family that night. Oh how?
Simply by strangling them all to death, wouldn't be enough? Well that’s right.
Despite them being worse the horse crap. They did let me in the house.
We were invited to dinner every weekend. So I thought of a better way to kill my family.
I purchased a slow killing poison, I made Lilly put some in my father's tea when he was playing with her. For my mother, when I was showing her off my cooking skills, I cur her wrist open. I could just grin as she bled out. How did I not get found out? Because I had Lilly with me. I would go out of the kitchen "to fetch something" while Lilly would be in kitchen for a little while then start crying or scream. My plan went just as expected.
My father collapsed after being drugged for weeks on the poison, and my mother would be killed in a matter of hour.
All that was left was to get rid of evidence and then act as if I know nothing.
That day staff was out of the house. So Lilly didn’t have to scream or cry. There was a main butler and maid, but they didn't really care, being occupied in their own business.
So I just gave my mother sleeping pills. She probably overdosed. And the fiasco with my father went as planned.
So my dirty Step Brother, he too was a sleep. All that was left was to...
Bam. Put the house on fire. That's what I did. And...
"The big cooperation of the Ork family has fell under, due to the whole family's death. The whole house was burned to the ground by, how it seems, a mistake from one of maids. She used the fire lamp trying to light the rock over in the kitchen, burning the whole house down. Fire started in the kitchen  making the staff fall unconscious due to the smoke. When the family noticed the fire it was already too late."
I was staring at the screen with grin on my face. Lilly in my lap looking at the screen. Lilly was smiling,
The first words she every said were papa.
After that she never spoke again.
She was smiling this time and seemed really exited. "Papa! We do that again?!" Didn’t expect her to react that way.
"Did you find that fun?"
Lilly nodded at my question.
She is truly my daughter.
I put my hand on her head.
"Of course, well kill lots and lots of annoying people again."
"Yes!"
And so
My killing spree as a Black Demon began. Yes. My nickname is only black. I wonder who is the worst in our duo? I gave my precious angel a teddy bear, in teddy bear there was poison. Every time we go to kill.... We are always ready.
Hope you liked them. I'm planning on changing their names , but I don’t now in what.
If you have a suggestion please do tell me.

My Secret Guardian
Chapter one - The band T-shirt
Warning: Explicit language, depression and anxiety
Tumblr media
"Are you okay?"
Those words didn't mean anything anymore. They all lied to me. They asked me the same question every day, but they didn't care about my answer anymore. It's okay tho. I lied too with a simple "yes."
I had felt wretched for several years, and I guess my coworkers had noticed it. Nobody tried to actually find out what was wrong with me. They only asked if I was okay, and then patted themselves on the back for being a good samaritan. I didn't blame them for not caring, I probably wouldn't have either. All I did was sit at my desk looking like I was tired of living. Which i was. I did the same thing every day. I woke up at 6 am, got to work at 7:30 am, ate lunch at 12:45 pm, got home at 5 pm, ate dinner at 6:30 pm and went to bed at 9 pm. And to spice things up, I sometimes had mental breakdowns incorporated into my routine.
About two years ago, I had my first panic attack and I couldn't stop crying. I was at a conference and stood in line for lunch. Suddenly I felt everybody staring at me. I was really insecure about my body and feeling all those eyes on me while I was getting food. No thank you. I could feel them judging me with their eyes. Judging how much food was on my plate. I hurried out of the room and went to the hall. Then it started.
My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I couldn't stop shaking or crying. My body got all heavy and it felt like I was going to die. Since that day, my mood has been severely decreased.
Nobody helped me back then either. Except for one guy. I vaguely remembered him, but I knew he helped me.
I had trouble standing and was kind of stumbling around. He guided me over to a chair so I could sit down. I didn't really look at his face. I just stared at his hands in mine while he talked to me. I know he tried to help, but I didn't really listen to anything he said.
I did however notice a tattoo on his left hand. A very small one. I couldn't really see what it was. It was probably pretty old and faded. For some strange reason, that tattoo helped me with my breathing. I stopped thinking about my panic and started to focus on what in the world that tattoo was supposed to look like. But before I could look properly at the guy, he was called into a meeting.
I left the conference after that. There was no way in hell that I would've willingly walked back to all those people, while my eyes were red and my cheeks stained from my makeup.
"Have you heard about Sarah?" I overheard my coworker ask another. She probably didn't know I was in one of the bathroom stalls.
Sarah was my boss who had been sick on and off for the last 6 months. We had an... Okay relationship. She was the only person I liked at my job and I was one of the few she didn't hate.
"They fired her."
I could feel my heart clench. My hope for Sarah to come back to work was the only thing that kept me there. I hated my job when Sarah wasn't there. She was the only one who actually generally cared when she asked me if I was okay. I would still lie and say yes, but her concern made me.. Kind of happy.
My coworkers left the bathroom while still talking about Sarah. I didn't feel like leaving the stall yet. I could feel the tears rolling down my cheeks.
Throughout the 5 years I had worked at the firm, I had gone through multiple bosses. Sarah was my second boss, but got transferred to another city. Two years later, she came back and became my boss again.
That's it! I thought to myself. If Sarah isn't coming back, I'm quitting. I was sick and tired of that shitty job and being around those fake people.
I wiped my tears away and walked out of the stall. This was the time. I was going back to my desk and I was going to write my notice.
I walked out of the bathroom and headed straight to my desk, not noticing that someone was talking to me. A hand grabbed my shoulder and I froze. That grab had scared the living shit out of me, but I tried not to show it.
"Uhm.. excuse me? I didn't mean to scare you, but do you know where Sarah Holland's office is?" a deep voice asked me.
I turned around to see a man dressed in some denim jeans, a purple band T-shirt and holding a backpack in front of him. He definitely didn't know the dress code.
"She isn't here right now. She is on sick leave," I told him while still looking at his clothes. If he was trying to get a job here, he definitely chose the wrong outfit.
"Oh i know.." He mumbled quietly. "I'm her substitute." I stopped scanning him for a second and looked at his face for the first time since we started the conversation. He was older than I expected. He had an awkward smile on his face, but it was very welcoming. He also had the darkest eyes I had ever seen in my entire life.
"I'm Alexander by the way," he said and fumbled to get one of his hands away from his backpack without dropping it. I reached for his hand and shook it.
"Her office is over at the left door," I told him and pointed to Sarah's office. He thanked me and walked to the direction I had given him.
You know.. Those jeans do look good on him I thought to myself while my eyes scanned the backside of him. It's a damn shame that attire isn't suited here.
The next day came around and as always my shift started at 7:30 am.
I walked over to my desk, sat down and turned on my computer. The laptops at this firm always took forever to start up. While I was staring at my computer, waiting for it to accept my login, I heard some loud noises coming from Sarah's office.
I went over to the door and placed my ear near it so I could hear what was going on. I had only been standing there for about 10 seconds before the door flung up, making me jump back in shock.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to snoop around! I just heard-" I stopped myself from further embarrassment.
"Oh it's okay! You probably heard me dropping my laptop," Alexander answered, probably as embarrassed as myself. I stretched my neck to the side to look into the office. As I saw the broken laptop on the floor I could confirm that it was indeed that that had made the noise. Jesus Christ I thought to myself as I looked back at him with eyes wide open. I could tell that it was an expensive laptop.
"First real day at the job and I've already broken the inventory," he nervously laughed.
There was no need to make things worse, so I offered him mine. My job position didn't really need a laptop, it just made it a hell of a lot easier. He accepted the offer, took my laptop and went back into Sarah's office.
I sat back down at my desk and started to write customer orders down by hand. It took me about 30 minutes to write down 11 orders.
Why did I lend him my computer? This fucking sucks! I thought to myself as I scribbled down another order.
My hand started to cramp from writing nonstop. I wasn't really used to using a pen instead of a keyboard. Hopefully the people who were going to read this could translate that scrawl.
Lunchtime rolled around, and I had managed to write down half of the day's order and give myself arthritis.
I walked into the lunchroom, grabbed my oatmeal and sat down at the empty table. I had been so tired the day before that I didn't really feel like making a proper lunch.
"What a healthy lunch!" a deep voice suddenly exclaimed. I looked up from my food and saw Alexander standing at the other side of the table, holding a store bought sandwich.
"Do you mind if i sit here?" Words I haven't heard in a long time. No one ever wanted to sit and have lunch with me. To be fair, I wasn't really that fun to have lunch with. Other than the fact that I hated my coworkers, I didn't really have a lot in common with them to hold a proper conversation.
"Go ahead" I almost whispered. There was a good solid 10 minutes where neither of us were talking. He was probably just as awkward as me.
"Thank you for letting me borrow your laptop. That was really nice of you," he smiled as he took a bite of his sandwich.
"No problem," I quietly nodded. It was clear that neither of us was used to small talk.
The majority of my colleagues had left the room. Probably to go out to smoke or to pee. The ones that were left had their own quiet conversation by themselves.
My mind started to wander as I discreetly tried to look at Alexander without him noticing. He definitely wasn't my age. I shot him to be around 15 years older than me. He had brown curly hair that clearly didn't want to cooperate. His beard was hardly a beard. It was very patchy. My eyes trailed down to his shirt. A band T-shirt yet again, but not the same as the one from the day before. He must have noticed my confused eyes, because he suddenly stopped eating and looked down.
"Do you like my shirt?" He smiled, looking very proud of himself. My eyes glanced up to meet his. To be honest, I did. It was a yellow AC/DC shirt with a canon on it. Above the canon there was written "For those about to rock." I couldn't help but to crack a smile. His smile was so contagious.
"Yeah it's pretty cool," i smirked, letting my guard down. But it came up again pretty quickly. "But just so you know, that type of clothes isn't very professional and if you want to work here, you have to put some effort into your outfit!" I hissed.
His smile faded a bit and he looked down at his food again. It wasn't the first time i had snapped at one of my coworkers, but it was the first time i felt bad afterwards.
I looked regretful down at the table, wanting to be anywhere else but there. He started to fumble with his sandwich and my eyes followed his hands.
He had strong hands and what looked like a birthmark on the left. He had his nails painted black. Well.. the majority of the nail polish was chipped. It wasn't really a bad look in my opinion. I liked it when men didn't care about gender norms and did what they wanted to. Lucky for him, the company dress code didn't say anything about nail polish, so he could continue to wear it. He just needed it freshened up.
There was such a thick awkward silence in the lunchroom, that you could practically hear the lightbulbs.
The rest of my colleagues had left, and it was only me and Alexander that was still sitting in the room.
Why was I such an asshole to him? He had been nothing but nice to me. I wanted to apologize so bad, but I was too used to self sabotaging, that all I could do was stay quiet.
Alexander finished his sandwich. God he was a slow eater. "I don't really have anything nicer to wear," he almost mumbled. I looked up at him, trying my hardest to stop frowning.
"How come? Aren't you like 40?" Those words sounded so much meaner than I anticipated, but they had already left my lips before I noticed. He smiled at me, clearly without taking any offense to my words.
"Ah yes.. A man of my age should be able to doll oneself up," he joked. I couldn't help but to laugh. It was just so unexpected since I basically mocked his age.
His smile widened and he seemed generally happy by my response. "But in all seriousness, I haven't really been needing a suit. That's why I don't have one," he smirked. "And yes, I'm 42 years old, but I don't look older than 68." I rolled my eyes at him. That was just such a dad joke.
And speaking of dad, I wondered if he was one. To be fair, he had the age for it. Before my mind drove completely off, my phone buzzed, indicating that my lunch break was over.
When I came back to my desk, I had gained some movement back in my wrist, but each time I tried to write something, the pen felt fifty times heavier.
It didn't really help that I couldn't concentrate either. Did Alexander hate me now? It actually felt like he wanted to be friends and I was just being such a cunt to him. Would it have killed me to complement his shirt? I really liked it and it would have cost me nothing to just say that when he asked. And why did I even care about his outfit? He could do what he wanted, I wasn't his boss. On the contrary, he was mine. Well for now at least. I had already sent my notice to the headquarters, so i would be gone in two weeks anyways. Why did I even care if he hated me or not? I knew my other coworkers didn't like me, and I didn't care. But why do I care now?
"Hey! How is it going with the orders?" a baritone voice almost yelled, making me jump in my chair.
"Jesus Christ! You don't have to give me a heart attack!" I barked, looking up to see Alexander. He was smiling at me, even though I had yelled at him for what felt like the 100th time that day. He looked down at my paper to see what probably looked like hieroglyphs. He narrowed his brows and looked back at me.
"Are you okay?" he asked. My heart sank a little. I could feel the concern in his voice, even though he was only asking because of my horrendous handwriting.
I took a breath, trying hard not to be an asshole again or to lie for that matter.
"No. My wrist hurts like hell," I answered while shaking my head.
"Why didn't you just tell me? I'll go get your laptop!" He walked away so quickly, that I didn't get to say anything else.
Stop being so fucking nice to me, i thought to myself. In what felt like a split second, he had returned with my laptop.
"You idiot, now you won't have anything to use," I sighed.
"I don't want you to hurt," he said calmly.
Well that's too fucking late.
"I already ordered a new one that will be here tomorrow, so it doesn't matter if i miss 3 hours of work. I can catch up with it tomorrow."
I stared at the laptop, then back at him, then back at the laptop. I hated that he was being so nice to me.
"Well.. I better get to work then," I said as I started typing on the keyboard. He didn't leave my desk. I could almost feel his eyes burn into the side of my face.
Was he waiting for a thank you? It was my computer that he gave back to me. I didn't need to thank him. Did I?
My head turned and I looked up at him. My eyes meet his. Those eyes were like black holes. They were so dark, that you couldn't distinguish the pupils from the iris, and they sucked you in like real black holes.
He smiled at me and started to walk towards his office. "Call if you need me," he shouted as he closed the office door.
Fuck my life. I could feel my coworkers looking at me. I hated unwanted attention more than anything. Why the hell did he need to shout? The traffic warden down the street probably heard him.
I looked around the room to catch the people who were daring enough to stare at me. It didn't seem like it, but I knew some of them had definitely gawked in my direction. I hated it so much.
It was so anxiety inducing. My hands began to shake and I could feel the cold sweat starting to form. It was the event at the conference all over again.
Before my thoughts had a chance at eating me up from the inside, a sound came from my computer. It was an email.
That dumbass forgot to turn off the sound after he borrowed it. It was so freaking loud, that it almost scared me.
I tried to calm myself with some deep breaths, before opening the email. It was a link to a YouTube clip from Alexander.
He gave me back my laptop so he could sit and watch YouTube on his phone? What a boss indeed.
I kind of didn't want to watch it, but I was also really curious. I put on my headphones and started the video. It was an old video of Paul Hunt doing gymnastics while dressed as a little girl.
It was probably one of the funniest things I had ever seen. It was so hard, trying not to laugh out loud. It was almost like he knew I needed a distraction from what was going on.
I looked behind me at the door to his office. Closed. It must have been a coincidence then.
5 pm rolled around, and it was time to head back home.
After I got my laptop back, the customer orders almost wrote themselves.
My colleagues had already left the building, but I was a little bit behind schedule, so I stayed a little longer. I kind of enjoyed the silence.
I could work in peace without the usual distractions. There was always the casual gossiping, the sound of long nails clacking on a keyboard or my personal favorite, the fake ass laugh when someone tried to convince a future customer over the phone. God I hated that job.
"Are you ready to go home for the day?" I looked behind me in surprise. I had been 100% sure that I was the last one left. I guess not. A thing that I had noticed about Alexander, was that he was really good at sneaking up on me.
"Yeah, but why are you still here?" I asked curiously while packing up my stuff.
"I wanted to make sure you got to your car safe," he replied.
My car was literally parked 30 feet away from the entrance, so there was no need to worry about my safety. Sure, there had been times where my tires had been slashed and i had to call a cab, but that was probably just some teenagers thinking it was funny.
I turned off the lights and walked out of the building with Alexander right behind me.
"You don't need to walk me to my car. I'm not a child," i insisted. He looked over at my car and giggled. "Well tough luck, 'cus it's parked right beside mine."
We walked over to our cars, but he didn't get into his before I started to pull out of the booth.
What was he so worried about? And why did he even care? He is so fucking weird, I thought to myself as i drove home.
I picked up a pizza on the way home. After destroying my wrist for five hours, pizza was definitely the thing I needed.
The rest of the evening was spent on devouring a whole pizza, half a bottle of wine and some stale cookies. I had only eaten two portions of oatmeal the entire day, so it was safe to say that I was indeed starving. The wine was just a bonus.
After i was done eating i looked through YouTube to find something to fall asleep to. It had become this weird habit. Such a big habit even, that I literally couldn't fall asleep unless there was some background noise.
I looked at the recommended selection and found the perfect one. Another Paul Hunt video.
Damn, even at home he's still  helping me, I chuckled for myself. I pressed play and snuggled up under my blanket.
"Paulette Huntanova is back. Dazzled the crowd at two previous.."

Seven Minute Siege: aka that fan fiction I've been half assedly promoing
Here it is Chapter 1/15
PART 1: SILENT WITNESSES
Caspar’s Story:
STARTS 9:48 AM
Who actually needs to know what year the Berlin wall was built?
After a good ten minutes of trying to force myself to pay attention, I give up, easing my cramped hand and dropping my pencil on the table. I sat there staring at it, SpongeBob print mocking me, while it rolled onto the floor.
Mental note; thank Joe for that stationary set later.
The saddest part is that I actually like history.
It’s even sadder that I wouldn’t like it apart from the fact that Mr P. was the teacher. He was the first teacher who actually looked like they wanted to be there, and not in a creepy; over the top way, but he was also the first teacher who actually gave me a chance. He quickly became my advisor in freshman year, and I couldn’t thank him enough.
“Caspar? Caspar! Are you listening?” I hear someone snap their fingers and I look away from my pencil, which has made its way over to the bookshelf next to my desk and is currently chilling with a 2006 copy of People Magazine. Bless the American Education System. I see that it was Mr P. and I give him an apologetic smile.
Great job, Caspar
“I get that you only have three weeks left of high school but that is no excuse to feel like you do not have to-”
BANG! Crackle BANG!
“AHHHHHHG!!!”
BA- CRACKLE!
The loudspeaker cut out and the whole class is left silent and wide-eyed.
What in the hell..?
Mr P. looks from the P.A. in question over to us, then back to the P.A. His teeth are clenched together in a ‘what the fuck’ kind of way. He clears his throat before turning to us once more.
“I’m sure someone in the office just fell on the loudspeaker button… Back to work guys.” Mr P coaxed with his usual smile, but due to the uncertainty in his voice, not a single student resumed their study.
My stomach churned, Mr. P’s words just slipped through my mind like a whisper.
The class were all wide-eyed and dead silent. A pin dropping could have be heard. I looked at the faces of my classmates, the people I had come to know slightly better over the semester, most of which I had never spoken to until senior year. Their expressions were not necessarily scared, but at the same level of ‘what the fuck’ that Sir was at moments ago.
From the back of the classroom Sam Pepper, a generally loud and obnoxious kid, reluctantly raised his hand.
“Sir, even if they fell on the button, that didn’t sound normal for an office. Should we- should we lock down?” His voice cracked in his sentence through fear.
“No, no, it’s fine… Come on guys.” Mr P sounded completely unfazed by the sound we just witnessed. I understand that teachers have to keep us calm and all, but if he is only pretending that everything will be fine, he is doing a good job of it. But unfortunately he is the only one doing so.
Mr P sighs, “Guys, fine. If anything is really wrong, the alarm will go off. Until then, we have nothing to worry about.” Our teacher encouraged. I had a bad feeling about this and I’m sure the feeling amongst the other students was mutual.
9:49 AM
Mr P sat timidly at his desk, hands clasped together and tense. I think the tension of the situation was growing on him as he went from his still position behind his desk, to quickly jumping out of his seat faster than lightning. He marched directly over to the door, reaching out both hands to close it. But just his hands reached the doorknob; he was pushed back by a strong force and knocked onto the floor.
Screams were let out as a red colour appeared across his chest, spreading quickly staining his blue button-up shirt. It was like the universe went into slow motion as a man in a black beanie concealing his face, only enough so that he could see, pushed our teacher to the floor as he stormed the classroom, gun in hand. He fired across the classroom as people ducked and dived for cover before their brains could register what was happening. Students were dropping like flies in their attempt to escape the mad man’s fire.
After coming to my senses of what was happening, I jumped behind the bookcase and pulled my knees to my chest. I cover my ears in an attempt to block out the sounds of my classmates and friends’ screams. I can’t comprehend what is happening as bullets fly around the room like darts, hitting people multiple times. Who could be doing this? Why? I see a body fall practically on to me, ripping me out of trance as I jump in shock and horror. I almost let out a scream as I push it off noticing that it was the body of none other than Sam Pepper that was now lying next to me; my clothes are saturated in his blood as wet, hot tears stream down my face.
I rock back and forth while the gunshots continue. Then all of a sudden they stop, just as fast as they had started. Either everyone was dead or I had gone deaf due to the bullets. All I could hear was my own heart beat through every part of my body as I held my breath.
I remember what my mother told me. If I’m ever in this situation, play dead.
The figure walks around the bodies of senior students checking to make sure no one is alive. I quickly go limp and continue to hold my breath as I shut my eyes; Pretending that Sam’s blood is my own. I feel the man walk past me and stop. I try not to move.
I want to scream.
I give all of my will power not to squint my eyes further, or do anything to show that I am not dead. If I try anything I’ll be dead before I could finish it. I hear what I think is him finally walking away. I count to thirty before deciding to sit up.
I look around the now silent classroom, amongst the red puddles and splatters on the floor and walls, to see that I am the only one left alive.
As the silence continues, I decide to stand. I walk lines through the desks. Slowly, not trying to touch anyone, checking that maybe someone is still breathing. I see dead bodies left and right, still with eyes open. Clutched stomachs, and hurled over bodies from pain, the stench of death already lingering. I make it to the front of the room, failing in an attempt to steady my breaths and tears.
I head to the door, peeking my head around the frame. It would be stupid to leave; the man could walk out from anywhere and shoot me. I bring my whole body back inside the classroom and press it to the wall, hidden against it.
Not sure if I can bear to look at anything in the room for any longer, I let out a breath with my eyes squeezed shut.
I wait in silence.
…1…
…2…
…3…
I suck my breath right back in and slide down the wall to the floor when the gunshots start again.
9:50 AM
From my spot in a ball against the orange felt walls, I hear the door of the classroom next to ours get broken into, the cries of a teacher trying to save his students, who at least bothered to make them go into lockdown.
I try to find something to distract myself from what was going on, so I can pretend I’m not helplessly pressed against a wall clinging onto it for dear life. The sounds of gunshots go off around me echoing through the halls as screams and cries ring in my ears. Unfortunately the only other thing I can see from my spot on the floor is the dead corpse of my favourite teacher.
I feel like I never got to repay him for everything he did for me. He was the one who helped my with my dyslexia, he was the only one who tried to find other solutions for me to complete my work. He never dismissed my Tourette’s as bad behaviour. He understood my ticks. But most importantly, out of everything, he helped my come into terms with myself and helped me believe that who I was, was okay and nothing to be ashamed of.
In a time where I was to afraid to even come to school, or go home, he gave me council, and we talked it out. He made me realise that I was normal and that I had nothing to worry about. He told me to come to him if anyone was ever mean to me, and he advised me when I told him about my crush on my now three year boyfriend Joe.
We had gotten together at the end of freshman year, and today of all days was our three-year anniversary. Mr P helped me build up courage to ask him out. Joe was always so confidant and one of the only openly gay guys at our school. There was Tyler and Troye, two best friends who I was always too afraid to talk to. There was also Connor Franta but he didn’t come out until the end of last year.
It was only through Mr P and Joe that I can now say that all of those people, plus many more are now my best friends in the whole world.
Speaking of anniversaries, it just occurred to me that a certain event was due to happen just after school was let out. Three weeks from now, at the start of the break, Mr P was going to get married. Joe, the rest of my family and I were all invited and we were hardly ever not talking about it.
I let out a small whimper thinking about him and his fiancé. She was lovely; she was a musician and had an amazing sense of humour. He was caring and brilliant. They were perfect for each other. He was stupid for not going into lockdown. But neither of them deserved this. No one did.
My thoughts were interrupted as I noticed the unnerving silence which must have meant that the gunshots had stopped, then I heard a small creak of a door from across the hall. Curiosity got the best of me and I peeked my head around the corner yet again. My eyes widened as I met an equally scared looking pair of eyes, belonging to no other then Arden Rose. She was hiding in the doorway of the library, obviously not knowing the situation, and scared out of her brains. I silently urged for her to run back into the library. Using my hands as signals but it was clear she had no idea what I was trying to get across to her.
She took one look at me, then down the hall, I knew what she was planning and I wanted to run over to her and stop her before she did. I sat helplessly in the doorframe as she met my worried gaze one more. I knew the man had left the second classroom, he would see her. In a flash she launched herself from her spot, only to slam herself back against it as a bullet was fired straight at her. My heart stopped as it hit the brickwork, only just missing her. What was she doing! I could only stare at her while willing my heart to start again as the sound of a door slamming to the ground and more bullets and more scream echoed in my ears. I tried to signal to her to run, but I knew I was too late. So was off sprinting down the hall, book bag flying behind her. I bashed my hands on the wall as a slammed my head back into it in a mix of anger, worry and frustration. I wanted to scream as I heard two more gunshots follow her down the hall.
I couldn’t stand it. It was one thing for my classmates to die, another thing for my favourite teacher. But Arden was something different. She was one of my best friends, and she is dead. I accepted her fate as I silently cried. Pulling at my hair. There is no way she could have escaped.
9:51 AM
My thoughts turn to Joe as I cry to myself, trying not to be heard. I was stuck, helpless in this classroom, as a mass killer rampaged my school. I could no longer hear any gunshots if they were still going on. The only thing I knew was that my beautiful boyfriend was in the classroom at the end of the hall. I hoped he was in lockdown, but as much as I craned my neck I couldn’t see out of the door far enough to check.
He wasn’t at school this morning and I prayed that he decided to just not show up. I wanted to text him but if he was in his classroom I didn’t want to put him in danger by setting his phone off. If he was in any sort of trouble, he would text me.
It still awed me that I was lucky enough to have him. Not to mention that Joe had been mine for three years. I was even more stunned that he loved me back to be honest, not to mention freshman Caspar. Joe has always been this angelic, stunning, little human and I’m still not sure if I have grown into my long, lanky limbs and massive ears. Yet ‘I love you’ is the first thing I hear from him every time we meet so I must be doing something right.
As soon as the police show up I will find him and hold him and never let him go. He is my beautiful baby boy and my number one priority even if I have to shield him from danger with my own body; I would do anything to keep him safe. If we both can’t make it out of this, I will make it my mission to make sure that he is the one alive. He has so much potential, much more than I do. I would never find someone even close too as good as him.
I’m whipped okay.
We have an amazing day planned for after school, which includes skipping the last two periods. Though after all of this, we might not feel like it. I would be happy if we are just both here to see it happen.
I flinch when out of the corner of my eye I see something move past the window on the other side of the classroom. I turn my whole tear stained face to see
… Kian…
… and JC…
Is that … Ricky?
9:52 AM
They slowly walk past the window. Kian grips onto JC’s shoulder and Ricky scouts the area as they sneak their way past my classroom. They must have gotten up out of their own class and left. The tension probably got too much for them. Maybe they were already out of class when it happened.
Idiots. That’s the only word I could think of to describe them. Sure they were kinda my friends, and I get that they would want to leave, but there is one guy in the hallway who just shot my entire class plus two more, and one guy can’t hold down a whole school right?
Anyway, there are probably at least three more gunmen around ready to shoot; Ricky, JC and Kian are goners.
Like with Arden, I try to signal them. JC points at me through the window and the other two turn to face me. Ricky waves me over but I furiously shake my head.
What! Is he, crazy? I’m not risking my life to try and sneak out. If I could save anyone I would, but it is impossible for me to leave my spot. I try to tell them to leave and get out of sight.
The three boys just stare at me through the window, they shrug at my gestures and smile at me. Kian waves as he puts his hand on Ricky’s back pushing them on. They walk out of the way of the window so I can no longer see them.
I start to panic. Everything is finally catching up to me. The smell, the small cramped position that I am in, the fact that I can’t leave said position. Maybe I can. I have no idea what is happening around me and my phone is over on my desk. I can’t see anyone’s texts or snap chats or Tweets or anything. It all occurs to me that there could be more killers, no police; Maybe Kian, JC and Ricky are outside safe, maybe they are already dead.
The worst part is that I’m stuck alone, with my thoughts. I can escape them just as much as I can escape this room. It’s so quiet that the only thing I can hear is the screams of the past five minutes playing over in my head.
Wait, it was quiet. Actually dead silent.
There hadn’t been a gunshot in a really long time, or at least, not one that I had heard. Did that mean it was safe?
I couldn’t take being there anymore and decided that it would be best to leave, I had missed all of the other opportunities I had been given and this could be my last one. What if he comes back?
I slowly stand, using the wall to help me up. I look at the red handprint that I had left slowly seep into the felt. However, this thing ends, it won’t be happily. So many parents have lost their children; people losing soul mates, siblings, family members, and friends…
I hear one final gunshot and jump in my spot. I freeze.
9:53 AM
I hear a scream. It sounded like the person was screaming out ‘Noooo!’ but kind of like someone’s name.
It also kind of sounded like Will.
No, YES! it was unmistakably the cry of Will Darbyshire. Did he find Arden? They weren’t together but it is so obvious how they feel. He clearly loves her.
I don’t want to think about how he would feel if he found her body. I turn my head back towards the wall where I once sat.
I think about the impact on everyone’s lives that this one man, let alone any other gunman at this school, or anywhere, has done to our community.
Who let him have a gun; WHO JUST LETS ANYONE HAVE A GUN? I slam my fist against the mark I left on the wall in anger.
I’m angry for those who had to die today; their families, and anyone who has to go back to school after this and deal with the memories of what went down on this morning.
All of those students were my friends! They were so talented, they had bright futures. They had so many people who loved them and they themselves loved so many.
I didn’t care anymore, I pulled my hair with both my hands and I let out a frustrated scream and it was almost like one thousand other voices were screaming with me.
I lifted my head from my hands to see that it wasn’t in my head. There really were people screaming with me. A class of students from the end of the hall were rampaging down it, screaming and yelling and avoiding the flailing gunfire of the man on the floor.
I lean out of the door, grabbing onto the frame to watch it. The students burst through the front door of the school to safety; cheering and whooping as they exited the crime scene.
I got swept up in it all and felt a yell strangled in my throat wanting to be let out.
I was about to let it out as the last few members of the class left the building, when the gunman stood up.
9:54 AM
I wasn’t sure if he had seen me but I dived against the door again, this time against the other side, flat against the open door itself.
I watched in horror as the man walked over to two pairs of feet trapped under a bank of lockers that must have been pushed over during the stampede.
No, no, NO! Not more death! We were good, we were safe. More people can’t die today.
I watched as I recognized a turquoise quiff belonging to one of the trapped victims. No, Not Tyler!
I Stood ready to scream. I could create a distraction. The suspense was building, almost at tipping point. I sucked in a breath as a different noise sounded from the end of the hall. The sound of multiple texts on someone’s iPhone rang through the dead silent halls. I breathed heavily as I looked from the lockers to the man to the direction of the noise. It did its job as the man dropped his gun to his side and followed it.
It wasn’t until my eyes looped back around to the noise as well that I noticed the man lift his gun again, to the head of Connor Franta.
I let out an audible whimper as I held my breath. He looked as threatening as a kitten as he kneeled on the floor. Large eyes pleading to the man for mercy. I had held my breath for so long that black spots appeared in my vision, blocking my view as I braced myself.
I shut my eyes as the last gunshot went off.
A body fell to the ground and the clank of the silver on the tiles jolted me fully awake.
Two arms scooped me off the ground and once again the confusion upon me sent the world into slow motion.
I was barely walking for myself as my feet kicked the ground. The police were practically dragging me out of the school.
I turned my head to face the body of the gunman on the floor. Lying in a pool of his own blood.
It was over.
Until the high-pitched squeal of a girl spun the world back to normal, and the worried sprints of Dan, Phil, Tanya and Jim had me break out of the policemen’s grip to follow them.
