Hey, guys! Have you enjoyed it? :) A break from my SOTE spam? :) LMAO TOO BAD HAVE MORE OF IT LOL
1) I've met the purple person sleeping in the flowers from the first DLC trailer!
Tumblr media
Turns out that he is a he, lol. Also a literal twink; he talks about how he has been weak, frail and useless in combat since birth but he however excells in poisons. He functions as a merchant and his store is ALL the poison-related items thinkable
Tumblr media
2) Speaking of Perfumers, I love the bit of lore that they are versatile and are always looking for the ways to find more useful herbs
Tumblr media
3) Okay, so they've FINALLY committed to the Red Spider Lily imagery (also known as "that one sad anime flower" fgfhhvgg). Grave Violet already looked like this flower but purple, but yeah, now it is blatant
Tumblr media
These grow in the place affiliated with death.on the map it is Charo's Hidden Grave, very red cliffs above the very blue cliffs (Cerulean Coast). You fight Tibia Mariner and Death-Rite bird there!
Tumblr media
Also yeah.. My idea that pale blue and purple are both colors of death seems to be confirmed. It started with coloration of Trina's flames and Tibia Mariner's magic!
4) So these things were crafted, not born!
Tumblr media
5) I found a tool item that transforms your body into a kind of a Crucible (a type of hornsent given they ARE the kind in Land of Shadows?) if you are not wearing any clothing item!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I took better screenshots that I'll load later via USB exchange, very interesting stuff! Fuckin Beast's Embrace Rune tier stuff gghhvhn
6) I FOUND THE SET AND THE WEAPONS OF THAT ONE DANCER IN RED FROM THE TRAILER
Tumblr media
You get this full set and the dual swords after defeating her as a boss in Southern Nameless Mausoleum! You can easily access it from Cerulean Shores; find the Cerulean Coast West grace (found on.... west-most side of this area... yeah shocking I know fvhkfffc) and go along the shore backwards (towards east) until you see the path downwards, you will find the cave! It forks in two directions, one of these is an item/cliff and another is an underground passage to an island you could see!
Tumblr media
This boss uses strong slashing attacks and also the fire attacks! Fire is not a skill of the weapon, but a tool! You can find the tool that gives this ability at the top of the very place where you come out of the cave!
Also this lore reminded me of Tanith, who was also a dancer from a foreign land once.. I wonder whether this is connected ;-;
7) The goddamn catacombs and gaols in this DLC are super hard and tangled, I wandered in Lamenter's Gaol for a good while -_-
8) On the other hand, by now I am feeling the same joy of discovery and fun as I did when I first started playing Elden Ring! Damn, Soulsborne REALLY needed an open world game <:3

Second time posting in this subreddit, but have been dabbling around with online projects for somewhat over 4 years. Started as a two-person team, with a WordPress website, we sold ad space once traffic spiked up, and then transferred to affiliate marketing selling more than 400,000 $ in fitness products (somewhat over 25% profit).Recently, we’ve launched a fitness SAAS as well. And did lots of other things in between…So let me share some of the highlights from the journey, and few of the lessons learned.Start, and start early.Whatever the idea, it’s best to test it out in the open, and see what happens. 16 or 60, it doesn’t make any difference.Capture leads early onTraffic is valuable so capture leads early on. You never know when numbers might go down. We started building the e-mail list only after few years, and never went serious about it. Really regretting this now! Our SAAS launch would have gone completely different. We’ve put all of our eggs into one basket - SEO and product reviews. White hat pays huge dividends over the long haul. But here is the twist - though we ranked very high for a very competitive set of keywords and phrases (still do) we never anticipated that demand (and search volume along with it) will go down the sink. As they did. But unfortunately, in real life, ominous music rarely plays before shit hits the fan.And looking for the next hot product is a rabbit hole I never ever wanted to adopt as the description of what I do for a living. I understand the lows and highs of online businesses, but when you build something with your future in mind, you want to minimize volatility and settle down with at least a symbolic degree of certainty.Always have an audience in mindCreating a product before you have the audience or delivery channels for it is the worst idea - Have done this twice! First with a small startup which aim was to serve as a search platform for handymen of a small eastern European country; Then with an informational product on how to start with online businesses. Which turned out to be particularly good I must say, but never made any significant amount of sales. We didn’t bring traffic and because of another project on its way, left this one altogether.Always have an audience in mind. Build for someone, rather than for yourself hoping people will like it along the way. And stay focused on one thing through the end. That’s the main flaw I associate with our second product - it was aimed at beginners, but across the board and not niche enough. We gave up early as well.So we pressed our metaphorical ear to one of our most visited websites (which partially resides in the fitness niche), and listened carefully.Audience insights gave us broad understanding of market demand, and provided the necessary backbone - the proper framework on top of which we’ve sketched Fitness Updated (the SAAS).Networking with influencers? Don't expect muchAnother valuable lesson we’ve learned is not to put too much stock in networking with influencers as the most important component of future success. Both of us secretly hoped that if we build bridges with some of the high profile players in internet marketing, we will prosper under their grace with each new product launch. But, they don’t wield such powers. Especially not across the board and across niches. Sure, a tweet from Rand Fishkin and guys like Glen Allsopp can maybe generate some momentum in the SEO world, but not as much as a single e-mail from some of the super affiliates who work entirely behind the curtain. The first can give you a feel-good and really proud moment and way to look at yourself, and the second will generate crazy numbers in both traffic and sales. Which one do you prefer?I’m not saying that you should ignore influencers (god knows I owe them a lot) but that you should invest, if nothing else, then maybe equally much time with savvy but otherwise not so popular players.Case in point - this post should have been written way earlier.Grow your skillsetGrow your skillset. Forget about the shiny apple, and do some actual work. The first might pay off, but the second most definitely will.In creating our big product, we learned video production and post-production (If my friend’s hair turns grey in recent years, Premiere Pro is to blame). I refined my coding skills even more (created something I’m really proud of). And he learned some photography as well. All in all, if you lack finances, do the work. Competing against the most talented teams out there with empty pockets is not a myth. It’s doable. You’d have to hustle. Even better if you are a student or in a position in life where you don’t have to feed a family. For it is quite uncomfortable to try and develop something while the clock of grown-up life tik-taks behind your shoulder. It makes you irrationally fearful, and impotently angry. And we should know this all too intimately. We created our product with less than 1000$ and intend to make some waves in the industry. I know many people who’ve done the same. So have faith.DIY can bring you a long way too. The light setup behind our videos was handmade, successfully replacing a 5000$ gear (or higher!). So never listen to folks who scuff at your enthusiasm when creating something out of rubbish. Prior to putting it together I’ve never held a hammer in my life and wouldn’t have been sure what to do with it even if you gave me one.Start smallThis one we’ve picked from Amy Hoy (amazing woman!) and it basically says to make your mistakes early and know what to do when the time comes. It gave us the idea to build the informational product I’ve mentioned above and learn from failure. And though this doesn’t seem sexy, we’ve learned that sexy never happens right out of the gate.Building a product, like good carpentry, is a form of work. But experience is always a bonus.Research well and research diligentlyCreate your masterpiece or any other product for that matter based on audience insight. We used this to understand market demand for fitness (by writing and ranking reviews) before building our big product. Our comment sections on some of the articles count all the way to 600+ comments, and e-mail numbers go even higher throughout these years.Create the audience first, build the e-mail list, set-up or learn some channel. We for example, used Lifestyle Updated (one of our niche websites) to bring in people to the e-mail list, and now to send them straight to the new project. (Again, should have paid even more attention to this!)Even if you find affiliates to sell your offer, many might want to see some actual numbers first. So have the audience, sales, and conversion numbers to show. We’ve been contacting some affiliates recently (mostly people we’ve kept close with- peers, so to speak) asking for feedback on how to go about becoming a merchant with our SAAS. Nine out of ten responses (as I’ve expected) include a variation of: “do the legwork for yourselves first, and then come back with some numbers so we can talk”.Nobody wants to touch a new and untested product. So this puts additional weight on building and researching funnels.Give Fiverr (or similar services) a chance.Give Fiverr a chance. The quality/price ratio is unprecedented. So much so that you can compete with established brands by paying 5$ in hired help and have something better to show in comparison.Oh, and slight polishing of someone else’s work can create a diamond. Don’t like how most people sound when looking for voice-over gigs? Buy a single 5$ gig and play with your software later. It can be as simple as speeding up the track by 2-3%.Try to keep a steady incomeIt’s also best to have a steady income while you create a product. The pressure, otherwise, and manufactured emergency can become unforgiving after a while.Loss of traffic hit us hard, and we earned substantially less during the period we’ve been working on our SAAS. Coincidentally, my friend moved in with his fiancé after renovating the home, and married six months later. And while financial stress is easily justified, it is more so caused by manufactured emergency and self-depreciating thoughts. As he would love to say “Headspace saved this cat!”The highs and lows of building and shipping something might be overwhelming for many people. Especially if you are highly enthusiastic but otherwise low on focus.Never expect anything! You grow softer that wayWe’ve already sold few dozens of yearly packages, but got somewhat disappointed. Lesson learned - never expect anything! You grow softer that way.Mike Geary didn’t have abs! But why is this important, and who in seven hells is Mike Geary? He is a guy who sold an e-book on how to have super-duper abs. And sold it well, really. Few dozens of million dollars, to be exact. (8 figures… Because I obviously like to demystify large numbers). And guess what? He didn’t have sculpted abs to begin with. A guy who knows his way around the gym, that is certain, but no spectacular abs like most teenagers nowadays with a YouTube account and half a million followers under their name. And sure, times are a changin’ and now it’s hard to succeed in anything without a legitimate claim. But just have a look at Mike’s picture next to the title of his book, every time you go on a self-depreciating and judgmental episode on how your product is not good enough. I respect Mike and all, but where are all those abs?And finally, if anyone is interested about the new SAAS product, a feedback will be immensely appreciated, so drop a comment if you are kind enough! If you cannot find use for the product and its content, then I hope you can in the way it’s been built (interface, UX, onboarding, e-mail sequences etc.) Reverse engineering made everything possible for us, so I always urge people to look for examples across the net, and copy principles. It creates such a learning curve dwarfing in significance every other method of acquiring info. And if technical aspects interest you, the entire platform has been built on Laravel (php framework) because it's fast, elegant and popular.I come from a PHP background and Laravel is among the most popular PHP frameworks... And that translates into fewer headaches. The billing system is built with the Stripe API and the Laravel Cashier package.Additionally, Gulp is used as a build system for automating time-consuming dev tasks and Vanila javascript and jQuery for some minor interactive elements. It uses the Service Worker API to enable cool some progressive app features. It's hosted on DigitalOcean with NGINX.And yes, the models in the workouts (my friend and his sister in law) occasionally ate cookies in-between filming sets. There.
