ama time! i don’t know if you’ve ever talked about this on your blog before so forgive me if you have, but how did you get into sandman?

also, what’s your favorite word or phrase in spanish?

the gf told me "netflix made a sandman adaptation" and "i am about to be so so crazy for Lucienne." and i thought, Oh, i should educate myself on the gf's interest. and then i saw the Cereal Convention. and THEN i read the comix. and THEN i went back and appreciated tv!Rose so much. and THEN i binge read all of the dreaming comix with Coco's year as a real boy and the Waking Hours run and Nightmare Country. i was writing my dissertation. i had a lot of free time. (this is not true of grad students in general. also i was dying bc burnout.) grad school is great for enabling you at cramming a lot of info about a thing in a short amount of time. also comix are a lot easier than critical theory. anyways i do wish i could write a dissertation on bodies, blasphemy, and queerness in sandman.

i say "pinche pendejo" SO MUCH. minor inconvenience? yeah. worst insult i can think of? yeah. pero "chisme" captures such a Mood that english equivalents cannot.
