I've seen a lot of really amazing tags on my Figmin XR art saying "Imagine in the future if you could leave digital art/easter eggs all over the world for other people to find and appreciate" and I just wanna let you know:

that's what we're building!!!!!!!! multiplayer was the last big update, but the NEXT big one to tackle might be location-based publishing. (I can't tell you WHEN this will happen cuz things take time, obviously... but it's been planned for a long time!)

like, the same way that Pokemon Go had pokestops and certain pokemon tied to certain areas - you WILL be able to create and publish virtual artworks and treasure hunts and little adventures to the real world

geo-published works will show up as an optional notification, giving people a choice on whether they want to experience location-based stuff of not.

as an aside - giving people ABSOLUTE control over how much digital media is shown to them at a time is really, really important to me. I want us to live in a fun, whimsical world full of digital art - but I ALSO want us to have more of a say over how much visual stimulation we're subjected to.

I hate the current state of ads, the corporate internet, the exhaustion of constant media........ so I'm trying to do my part to nudge the virtual world into a more creative, less propaganda-riddled direction.

but yeah!! the world WILL very soon be a canvas for 3D digital art. I'm gonna try to publish things to as many places as possible once the feature comes out!!!
