And Hob is merciful. But Dream had better keep his promises this time, or Hob will make him watch as he puts all the shoes Dream bought him up for sale on ebay.

Story time! My cousin is six and wants to become a fashion designer. She saw an ad for the TS movie on TV and liked the sparkly costumes, so I pirated the thing and we watched it together so she could draw the clothes. Two big things I noticed are: 1) the vocals are... not that good? I mean, the quality of the audio has been improved a lot, but the vocals themselves are painfully mid even for Taylor. In one of the very first songs, I got the ick from a note she missed badly, and I'm no musical genius. Considering she chose this performance to be recorded in a movie to broadcast worldwide, you'd expect her to be top of her game, or at least to use some good old autotune to fix her mistakes. (I'll leave out the massive use of background vocals because I don't abitually listen to pop, so I don't know if that's a thing other artists do too or not. Tbh, if I paid hundreds for a tour ticket and all I heard was a recorded track and background vocalists, I'd be pissed to say the least, but maybe that's me, idk. 2) Her stage presence, dance skills, talking, it's all bad and completely unnatural. Her dance moves look like poorly done tik tok dances, her comments between songs are so fake it hurts, there is not a single thing she does on stage that comes off as genuine. I get no performer is ever truly themselves on stage, but damn, at least others are better at faking it. Her expressions and gestures are exaggerated for no reason, which ruins the whole experience, at least for me. Mind you, I like a goofy moment on stage, I like jokes, hell, Corey Taylor performing the Spongebob soundtrack mid concert may be one of my favourite concert moments ever. But if it's clear the person is acting, I can't have fun, I only feel like I'm being treated as an idiot. Luckily, my cousin didn't like the concert either, so I won't have to deal with a swiftie in the future ahah. Though I fear I might have to get through the Beyoncé movie as well once she sees her costumes (hoping that one's a little bit better).

Only one time I used to find Taylor's mid performance speeches genuine was during reputation tour. she used to be very relaxed and confident with who she was and exactly knew what she was saying, before that she would always seem fake and insecure to me, and this eras tour is her fakest version ever, she's just straight up acting. I myself would never spend my money on such mid shows ever.

It did make me feel better to write out my feelings. Honestly I am glad in a way that it happened. As you said, now I know the kind of people they are. Personal wise and 5sos related things wise hahahaha I'm here to ask you a question if you don't mind...🙃 My friend and I are considering getting soundcheck for one of the concerts but the thing is, we're not entirely sure what that entails 🤷‍♀️ We would love to know a little bit about it to make sure it's gonna be worth it spending that money... Have an amaaaaaziinig day!!

Sure, I'd love to help! I did soundcheck for the first (and second lol) time last year during Take My Hand and I'd say it made for a very fun and special but exhausting day.

Things will likely vary slightly this time since there are now two different soundcheck packages, with separate activities made available to the top tier. (All the details are available here but essentially, the Friends of Friends package includes the soundcheck experience plus access to a private lounge with photo ops, drinks and merch shopping.) But the traditional VIP experience has you checking in with VIP Nation in the early afternoon (you'll receive an email a few days before explaining what time to be there by and where you'll check in for your line number and laminate. At my shows, check-in officially began at 2pm, with soundcheck scheduled for 4:30 and to my memory, it began closer to 5) and waiting in line while everyone gets sorted. (They had a merch stand near the line for us to shop while we waited but I'm unclear on if that's just for the FoF package now.)

When it's time, you're led into the venue (according to the number you were assigned when you checked in) and after a bit more waiting, the band comes out and plays a song (occasionally it's something from the setlist, but typically it's not. Afterwards, they sit on the stage and a short Q&A session begins. (This appears to only be available to the FoF package now but previously, in the VIP Nation check-in email, there would be a Google form for fans to submit a question for the band. If your question is chosen, you're pulled aside during the check-in process.) This part is fun vibes (I think they expect silly questions and are game for it but they clearly get excited when someone asks something of actual substance) and after they answer a handful of questions, maybe 5-10 depending on how long Ashton talks the answers are, they get up and play another song. That concludes soundcheck and then typically you're allowed to stay inside the venue and take advantage of the low lines for merch, restrooms and concessions before the doors open to the rest of the public.

So the actual soundcheck is probably only a 30-45 minute experience but you do get 2 extra performances (and there's often fun, unexpected choices! At my first show, they did Valentine and Long Way Home and for my second, they did Moving Along and Voodoo Doll lmaooo) and to basically chill out with them during the Q&A. A lot of people also appreciate the exclusivity of the experience, as phones and cameras are prohibited (there were unfortunately multiple instances of leaked content last tour but for the most part, what truly happens during each soundcheck is a mystery to all but those in attendance lol). Also if you have GA for your show, being let into the venue before the majority of attendees is absolutely a bonus (my shows were GA, which I hate so honestly the early entry was the main reason I upgraded). The only real downside to it tbh is that it makes for an extremely long day, especially if you're GA (and depending on where your venue is located, you may be waiting for soundcheck in heat/direct sun). Your frame of reference could be different of course, but I am traditionally not a GA girlie nor a line camping girlie, so I was dying by the end of the night after being on my feet basically non-stop for 9-10 hours. (Oh, the gloriously ravenous Taco Bell feast that took place when we got back to our hotel 🤌🏻) But otherwise, it's a lot of fun and if you can afford it, I think it's worth giving a shot at least once, to have the experience!

Tbh it's really good to learn how to build computers, I recommend people give it a shot if they have the means, but having video game consoles isn't a sign someone is rich either. Console generations are typically years long (the PS4 came out in 2013 when the PS5 came out in 2020, that's seven years) and there are legit 2-3 main ones anyway. Being able to save up enough money over the course of a few years to buy the new playstation is not a sign of weath, it's a sign that video games are important enough to a person that they do what they can to get them, often forsaking other things that someone else might spend that money on but they aren't interested like idk movie or concert tickets, nice clothes/shoes, sewing supplies, fancy cookware, or computer parts.

My fiancé makes decent-ish money at his job so we can buy new consoles and games when they come out, but that's also because neither of us are the types to spend money going out a lot or drop money on a short vacation or on nice shoes and clothes. If someone who claims to be poor owns a PS5 that doesn't mean they're secretly rich, it just means video games are important enough to them that they put aside money and other hobbies/activities to save up for them(or it was a gift or something they didn't necessarily even buy it). Also ngl while I don't make much money doing it, I'm a twitch streamer as my job, and so my new PS5 is mostly for my work. I still use it in my downtime and have fun, but it's not just for that. Being able to save up for computer parts and new consoles allows me to keep doing the only job I can actually do as a disabled person, and that's part of why I don't spend much money on other things. They aren't as important to me as my streaming is.

A games console is no more a sign of wealth than a computer or phone is. The point isn't "actually this other nice thing means you're rich" it's "a person's belongings don't say much of anything about how much money they have and assuming someone who owns a playstation or computer or phone is rich and painting them as the enemy is not only conservative rhetoric with a progressive twist but also will just let the real rich millionare/billionaire assholes off the hook".

Just like...just because you don't understand why someone would buy it bcs you personally think it's useless or frivolous doesn't mean the people who do are wrong to do so or lying about their financial situation, it just means that's what they've chosen to prioritize because it makes them happy, and god do we all at the very least deserve to have things that make us happy, even if they serve no other function.

are you staying in london longer for some sightseeing? and if you get bp tickets will you be staying in paris longer? i really want to try for bp tickets but i'm so conflicted bc i live in another country so i'd have to book flight tickets and hotel as well which are expensive (or do you have some recommendations since you seem to travel a lot or at least fly a lot?) so i'd like to stay longer if i have to go through all this trouble and already pay so much money but my friend who lives in france only has time for that one weekend but idk if it's worth all the hassle/spending so much money just for 2 days essentially and i don't want to stay in paris all by myself 😭

im flying back from london tomorrow! i didnt have time to stay longer this time but i’ve already been to london a handful of times so sightseeing wasn’t a priority for me! and tbh i’ve already been to paris a few times as well but i’ll probably stay longer if i go to the concert since it’ll be summer and i’ll have more time :) ive had to travel to other countries for all the concerts ive been to ahah but ive never been able to stay long bcs the shows were during school time, but i think that if u can have some time off since it’s summer it would be nice (and especially if uve never been to paris!!) ^_^ and honestly i think that if u are able to, going around exploring the city by yourself can be quite fun actually! i think travelling is the best way to spend your money so i’ll always encourage these things 😁 but it obviously depends on you and your situation! but i think staying longer would be worth it <3

as for flying - i usually travel KLM bcs that’s the main company for the netherlands. they aren’t the cheapest at face value, but i use them bcs they have great accessibility services, whereas most low cost companies don’t. so it really depends on your individual situation! also, depending on where u live, id also check other means of travelling and what they might cost - eg for paris ill likely take the train bcs it’s cheaper from ams!

As a butch I am very much attracted to femmes and bi women who are feminine but I am also attracted to other lesbians who do not align with femme. And I don’t believe that is unusual. In fact my crush is neither and she is sexy and beautiful and it is because she is a woman. No other reason needed. 

YOu will get your degree and that will open up jobs all over the country for you. You will find others. IN the meantime.. and I know i say this A  LOT>  get to women’s gatherings. Concerts with lesbian singers. Save some money and get to a women’s festival. IF you message me I can send you links. LOTS Of women come up from California and that side of the country to spend a 4 day weekend on women’s land. YOU will make connections and meet women of every type from all over. The average ticket cost is 200.00 then travel expenses. LOTS of older lesbians, me included are happy to share our campers, tents etc and extra gear to keep costs low. 

Facebook can be a wider medium to find others who are neither butch nor femme but I know a wide variety of lesbians follow my blog so maybe they can chime in and  you can make some on line friends. 

Be the best student you can. Learn. Get the degree. Make connections. Research where it is affordable to live and jobs are available. Search for cohousing with lesbians (I know a facebook page for that). You will get out and meet so many women you will be amazed. You will be okay.. better than ok.. as a lesbian you have a built in community.

So I actually found out about BTS as soon as Big Hit teased their debut tbh. I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Kpop, so I found out about them like how I did with every other group. When I say I liked kpop for a while, I’m talking about MBLAQ/BEAST/INFINITE era kpop. I used to be a trainee before (which is a hilarious story and deserves a storytime of its own) so I was always kinda ‘in’ the kpop world.

When you’re ready to break the bank to go to a BTS concert 😭😭😭 I had to buy mine and my mom's ticket, and trust me - it hurt. But seeing my mom get so excited was totally worth it.

It sucks you can’t go this year, but I’m certain they’ll do another tour and you BEST be ready to buy! I need to fangirl with someone and I want to hear you gush about your experience lol. Is travelling to London/Berlin expensive for you? Because I know for some people (depending on where you live), travelling between places isn’t as expensive compared to others. Like if I had to travel to the states plus buy a ticket, I couldn’t afford it.

And the main reason why I’m feeling anxious is that I don’t have a ticket yet and I feel this consumer guilt over spending a shit ton of money but also…. I am allowed to treat myself. And then the whole concept of ~finding my way home late at night in a foreign city which includes a 45minute train ride. Which is a bit stupid because I don’t think Amsterdam is any more or less dangerous than Berlin but I’m still nervous that I’ll get lost or whatever.

Yeah kcon is mad expensive. They are scamming ppl $2000 at this point for some MAYBE meet and greet because idk how reliable this meet and greet is. I think what really gets to me (and I complained to my bf a whole lot about this lol) was how much you have to pay for one day versus both days. Because one day of the concert (just throwing an example dont quote me) is $60-170 where you are sitting. But for both days, its double the amount. And if you want exclusive meet and greet (but i hear you cant choose who you wanna see so you might have to trade with someone) it costs $2000. Like going to the anime convention was less expensive and I got to meet producers and directors and got their autographs lol! So my bf told me to just wait for enha's tour and I did!! Tbh... The fact that they called it the Permission to Dance concert already had me thinking I don't know if I wanna spend my money on it... I've bought tickets to all the bts online events throughout the pandemic but I think I'll sit this one out until they release a new Korean album cause a whole concert built around PTD and probably their other English releases, just won't be for me. I know they'll perform their other good songs as well ... But I think it's best I just wait this out till they put out another good album and can perform in the right kind of situation / environment ... By then, I'm hoping the global pandemic will have subsided to the point that most people will have immunity and we can begin a post pandemic life and safely travel and go to events etc... Until then I'll just check out the gifs, pics and clips other Armys upload of the highlights...

Anyways I’ll answer ur question bc yeah poor ppl can go to concerts and enjoy things and that doesn’t mean they aren’t deserving of help when they need it.

First of all, the concerts were a year ago and even if we hadn’t gone to them Sophia would still not have enough money today to pay for school since the money we got for those concerts was collected for the sake of them and it wasn’t easy by any means- even so we actually didn’t have the money to go thru with it, but I was graduating and Sophia had gotten straight a’s in her first yr of college so my mom tried her best to have us go to exordium since tbh we are good kids and we deserved it. Along w that, Sophia found a clinical study that payed enough to cover for plane tickets and we also saved babysitting money bc we kept being needed which is what payed for the tickets, so we got lucky. We budgeted the trip as extremely as possible and even then my mom’s bank account got overdrafted and was ultimately closed bc of it. After that, we spent months trying to bounce back from that which is understandable but again poor ppl have every right to enjoy things every once in a while- that doesn’t make them any less deserving of a helping hand for things such as college tuition??

And lastly it’s not up to ANYONE to come and dictate or critique low income ppl on how to try and deal w their economic troubles. They don’t have to give u a play by play of their past expenses either to justify their worthiness to h bc it’s none of ur business and besides the point- if u want to help then donate and if u don’t then u just scroll past, simple as that.

I’ve seen fall out boy in concert! i saw them with All time low and metro station with friends in school, it was a weird show because half the audience were like 25 and just wanted to see fob and then there were actually people who went for metro station lmao and when they did that vegetarian song everyone was CRAZY and i had never heard it at that point so i was VERY confused at the hype. 

I LOVE the zelda games! I’ve played ocarina of time like 50 times! I keep meaning to play breath of the wild but I just keep spending all my money on kpop so i havent downloaded it yet...

- I’m 7 months pregnant, and tired AF. I can’t stay standing for more than 30 minutes without my back hurting too much. I could get a seat at the concert venue I guess, but my friends are all going to the standing front (and I hate being sit at a concert tbh) so that’s not funny to be alone.

- I love Harry very much ... but I really like 4-5 songs in his album so nope, not gonna spend money in tickets + train + hotel.

Yeah, this is the issue for lots of people. The boost thing is only for presale tickets and there will be an opportunity for general sale tickets that won’t require boosts. Tbh though the boost thing in general is tough on lots of people. Don't feel pressured to buy merch if you can't afford it! I'm hoping we'll get some clarity on the whole boost thing, but who can say.
