This is my first attempt at creating a page after copious amounts of css and html studying, but it's still not perfect, so I hope you find use of it regardless. It is commented in the code to hopefully help you navigate it easier.

I created this code with 'root' styling, so much like main themes, the color customizing can be done at the beginning of the code where you see 'root'. There are elements in the code that are given those colors, so if you change one of the hex codes, it'll change other colors in the theme itself. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

That's awesome to hear that you're more confident about caryl canon after watching ep one. I totally agree with you about how them being alone will open up opportunities for it in a way it never has before. And i agree that if it doesn't happen, it's probably because Melissa & Norman don't want it (which I'd be super disappointed about but would respect their choice). But from everything I've seen, i also think they do want things to go in that direction!

Haha emotional and unhinged are great words to describe caryl in general! And I'm excited for nostalgia. The emojis are intriguing! They're making me think Carol blows up a plane, hopefully once she's safely in France lol! And that's interesting about how the people at the nest treat Daryl, that also frustrated me in s1!

I had a couple of other questions but no worries if you can't answer any of them:

1 Do we see anything specifically relating to Carol from Daryl's pov in this ep? Or is he talking generally about 'people at home'?

2 What did you think of the opening credits?

3 Did you see the ep title? I'm really curious about what that might be!

You're so welcome!!! I've been having a lot of fun answering your questions, so feel free to let me know if you have any others, and to be honest, I'm happy with any excuse to talk about Caryl 😅

Mild spoiler warning for my response to question 1 ♡

1) No, there was no situation where Daryl directly spoke about Carol. However, I do think there's a good reason for it, which I've spoken about in detail in a previous post [HERE]. It's also important to note the screen time division; episode one is about 85% Carol and 15% Daryl, so we don't get many scenes with him and very little dialogue. The dialogue that we do hear from him sounds very frustrated and resentful as if he's tired of being held back by the Nest and wants to leave as soon as possible (like he's rushing a resolution for the conflict in France).

The line below that we hear in the teaser is actually in episode 1, and it's the only time he references anything about home.

"I don't know if this is the place I'm supposed to be. I've been thinking about all the people I left behind, wondering if they're still thinking about me."

This is then followed by a few other lines where, in no uncertain terms, he says that he doesn't think he'd ever be happy at the nest.

2) I loved the opening credits; there were some really nice animated scenes of Carol that I really liked, and my favourite is the closing shot of the opening credits which is one of Carol and Daryl together. 🥰

3) No, unfortunately, I don't remember seeing or hearing anything about the episode title. But I think they'll announce the title either during San Diego or the following week, but most probably during the next screening of episode one that's being held on the 26th of July (tonight).

4) Honestly, episode 1 is now my favourite episode of TWD. It hit all the right emotional notes and delved deep into Carol's mindset, which is way overdue. It also had the walker action and suspense that left me on the edge of my seat (literally) the entire time. Melissa is incredibly talented and has everything it takes to play a leading character, especially one like Carol, who has so much depth and layers.

I have no doubt that the rest of the episodes will be just as good, if not better, especially the reunion episode!! And I'm confident that this season will be my favourite of all time, from any show.

okay since we're both putting ourselves out there i will also admit that i have a horrible case of collector's (aka hoarder's) mentality, in combination with a (maybe more than) slight shopping addiction. so honestly, i'm so glad that i didn't get into anime until after i was done with college. if i was into it back when i was in grade school (and well before it became mainstream), i definitely would've been much worse about buying cute but useless merch and knick knacks purely because i could not try and control my obsessive impulses until i became an adult which was a huge yikes for me lol

in terms of the final adaptation of the rest of the manga, i heard they already left out a bunch of good moments from the dumpster battle arc because it was shortened into a movie instead of being given a whole season. i would've loved something like the shiratorizawa arc (short season but still well adapted, even if it did take longer). i hate how many shortcuts the anime industry has been taking in recent years. i understand it's bitter work and it takes more time and money to do it the right way but it's literally their job to (hopefully) adapt the source material as faithfully as possible. and if demon slayer is a successful cash cow then there's no reason haikyuu also can't be!! especially with how popular it still is, even 4 years after the manga has ended. it just sucks for all of us fans who get the short end of the stick idk

Karasuno

Ofc Sugawara is my number one hahah. I love his personality <3 He's funny, trustworthy and expresses love through violence xD

I really respect him for being able to back down when needed and showing full support to Kageyama.

Hmm who else do I like the most? Asahi is adorable :3 Poor guy, he's always scared, I wanna hug him

Nekoma

Kenma is in my top Haikyuu!! characters, so of course he's my first choice from Nekoma. I love intelligent characters and he is the brains of this team, and he is so relatable :')

And where is Kenma, Kuroo must be there too! Just���look at him… I love how supportive Kenma is, he's a great friend and his hyena laugh kills me hahah. Funny (and clever!!) guy!

Aoba Johsai High

Oikawa is my favorite villain hahah! (seriously, I love these memes when Oikawa is next to Sukuna in the top villains 😭😭) He has his flaws, he may not be the most pleasant character, but he is brilliantly created and his frustrations are completely understandable! He is extremely human (and childish)

And... Oikawa in glasses...

For balance, I also choose Iwazumi, because someone has to control Oikawa and no one is suited for that like him xD Another character who expresses his concern through violence :')

Fukurōdani Academy

AKAASHI!!! I spent over a year writing a fanfic about him and Sakusa (as roomates and besties) and it made him one of the characters closest to my heart. His fears and worries are no stranger to me.

And of course HEY HEY HEY BOKUTO!!! He's so funny and his emo mood improves my mood xD

Shiratorizawa Academy

Semi! It's emo Sugawara, of course I love him hahah. And in time skip he's a musician, so I'm totally crazy about him

Ushijima! He's blunt and clueless and I love it. He's funny and he doesn't even try :') And he plays in the time skip in Poland, so he's my guy :3

Kita! Come, on, he's perfect! And after he burst into tears when he got the captain's jacket… that did something to my heart.

Oh my Omi Omi, my beloved Sakusa Kiyoomi!I love this grumpy guy, he says what's on his mind. And his germaphobic side somehow wins me over. He's another character I've focused on a lot while writing fanfics, so he's very close to my heart and I feel like I understand him on a completely different, closer level

His cousin, Komori, also has to be here! He's his closest (only??) friend and I appreciate him being with him (their dynamic is gold!)! And he's just a really cool guy

I will exceptionally choose a manager from this team! Hana is great, she's really screwed with these guys, but she manages somehow :')
