i'm upset bc i prematurely submitted the second part to midterm comfort but oh well
PART THREE
so he's finished (kind of) his little speech, and you want to believe him, you really do, but he's right, you worked SO FUCKING HARD and studied SO FUCKING MUCH for this midterm and to fail it is so :((((( bc what. the. fuck. so you're "how can you be so sure, h? i really did try my hardest and i failed, how can i "ace" the next one if i can't even pass this one" and he's :(((( bc even though harry's seen you cry and be sad a lot (more than he'd like, actually) he doesn't think he's ever seen you this sad. so he strokes your head delicately and presses soft pecks to your temple and "i'm sure bc you're probably the most determined person i've met in my life. i'm sure because you're smart, so smart, baby, and rational, and i know that you'll be setting up ten different office hours or whatever the fuck it's called so this doesn't happen again. i'm sure because i know you, and i love you, and also bc i'll help you study if you need it" and by now your crying is down to soft sniffling (not even hiccups anymore!!) and you're all "really? you'll help?" and he honestly looks offended, gasping "of course, i'll help you, puppy, it'd be my honor" and so the rest of your time in the bathtub is filled with a lot less tears and a few (a lot) more kisses, and when you finally get out he dries you off bc "let me take care of you, darling" and who are you to deny him? he sets you on the sink countertop and starts are your arms, up to your collarbone and down to your chest, softly swiping over you pebbles nipples, earning a soft whine, before trailing down to your tummy, and then your thighs. he gets down on his knees for this part, pushes your legs apart, and casually resumes drying you. for every patch of skin he dries, his kiss replaces the drops of water that once laid there, and by the time he's made it to your innermost thigh your practically dripping. harry decides swiftly that tonight you deserve all the praise and he's "oh puppy, look at this pretty p*ssy, so perfect" you sigh when he finally makes contact with your clit kissing and briefly suckling over the nub before bringing his tongue down to lick into your hole and take everything you have to give him. he talks you through it, like always ("good girl, puppy, just keep shaking on daddy's tongue" "that's right baby, such a hard worker, you deserve this" "look at you, my best girl, letting me take care of you" "oh baby, you're so good, so pretty, love you so much") and you come easily when his nose bumps you clit with every lick he makes into before he captures your clit in his mouth and sucks on the bundle of nerves until you're gushing. after coming up for a kiss to the lips (one you could taste yourself in, and that'd you silently begged for with you eyes) he cleans you up and then carries you to the bedroom, where you end the whirlwind of a night with New Girl and a simple c*ckwarming :))
-tummy r*ding anon 😵💫
3/3 🥺 what he said literally made ME feel so much better after this horrible week 🥺🥺🥺 the girls are gonna eat this up

Ended up not doing any schoolwork last night lol (can't really be blamed for that tho after writing an entire essay exam And prepping & giving a final presentation earlier in the day yesterday) BUT I finished my persuasion exam on time today. Unless I did terribly on it (unlikely) I probably won't take the optional final exam for this class (which would allow for the lowest of 4 exams to be dropped)(if I do well on all 3 midterms there's really no point to taking the final) WHICH MEANS I'm probably done with my persuasion classwork now
Just data governance and gender communication left. Gotta finish my part of the report today and then read 1.5 books by Monday. Gonna be reading a Lot over this weekend lmfao. I'll manage.
First tho I have my cats' vet appointment today. It Should be fine... and it reduces a lot of anxiety now that I have a car (I always felt weird taking my cats in the Lyft rides and I'd feel EXTRA weird taking Two cats. Not a concern now). It said in the email tho to bring stool samples (smth they didn't tell me on the calls??) and I've got one for Tally but I need to try to get one for June. Idk whether they Actually need it but i wanna b sure just in case. And Also after the disastrous arrival to my failed gynecology appointment on Monday, im like. Extra Cautious about being on time. So I'm gonna leave Plenty early. And maybe just bring one of the books I have to read so I have smth to do while I wait.
Which Means I have maybe an hour before I have to start getting ready to leave. Not quite enough time to really get into the data governance report, but I could potentially start it??? Feels wrong to just do Nothing with the time given how much shit I have to get done today. Also gonna email my advisor I think, if the course override request hasn't processed yet. I did manage to add a C/C++ coding class for UNIX/Linux systems to my schedule, so I have Two of the classes I need to graduate. There are spots in the front end web coding class available that works with my schedule but it's restricted by major for some reason?? Even tho I'm in that damn major???? And last I checked they hadn't approved my override request. So I'm gonna check again and if it's Still not approved I'll email my advisor like "heyyy is there anything we can do about this?" Bc there's not many other classes available that work with my schedule, accomplish the requirement of being upper level division, I haven't already taken, i have the required pre-requisites, AND that don't have some stupid major restriction on it. Like this one's basically the only one that works for the other 4, but that stupid major restriction getting in my way... and it's not like it's even in high demand 😭😭😭 the class is only half filled from what I've seen online 😭😭😭😭 just let me into ur damn class so I can graduate, God.
#speculation nation#i just need One More Class... and fuck man if i need to drop orchestra to graduate ill do it but i dont want to#so im trying to explore other options first. but this damn restriction 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭#sooooooo annoying. just let me take ur fuckin class man let me in. i promise ill be a good student just Let Me In.#if i do get in tho id have to work with C++ and java simultaneously 🤔🤔 i think the front end web coding is java at least#they have the same prerequisite which is a java coding class i got an A on a few years back.#Most of my experience with coding is in java. but i Do have some C experience. it's just been... since 2016 lol#so id need a lot of refreshers. and also remembering the differences between java and C#idk i could do it. i think itd be fun to have 2/3rds of the mental demand next semester to be coding.#i like coding. when it's working with me. it's actually pretty fun.#so. rattling the bars of my cage. LET ME INTO YOUR CLASS........#actually if it's front end web coding maybe thatd be uhh. html. i know even less about that lol but ive dabbled the Barest amounts...#also would be a good thing to know about. idk i need more experience with coding i am Not very advanced with it.

My Hero Academia- I am Phoenix
Chapter 18- Test of Heroes:
"All right, that's it for class today." Aizawa told us a couple days later. "There's only one week left until your final exams begin. I'm sure you all studying constantly, right?" I mean, I am, but I don't know about everyone else. I thought. "Don't forget to keep training. The written exam is only one element. There's also the practical portion to worry about. Good luck." With that, our teacher left the room.
"I'VE BARELY TAKEN NOTES THIS SEMESTER!" Mina and Kaminari exclaimed, Kaminari in horror and Mina laughing.
"And with the Sports Festival and the internship, I didn't have time to read the textbook!" Kaminari added in a panic. On the midterm, those two placed the lowest at 20th and 21st specially.
"It's true that we haven't had much free time lately..." Tokoyami trailed off, having placed 15th, just outside the bottom five.
"We'd barely learned anything when we took our midterms, so they didn't seem all that hard, but I'm kinda worried about these." Sato was telling Koda, both placing 13th and 12th respectively. "We've been through a lot, and they probably won't pull any punches when it comes to testing us."
"As someone ranked in the top ten, I'm not that concerned." Mineta bragged. Much as I hate to admit it, he placed tenth.
"I still don't know how you managed that, you little shit." I glared at him. I'd placed second behind Momo, but I still didn't know how Mineta of all people managed the top ten.
"WHAT?! YOU WERE TENTH IN THE MIDTERMS?!" They both yelled in shock.
"Aw man, and I thought you were one of us." Mina whined.
"Don't you know weirdo little creeps like you are only likeable if they're kind of stupid?! Who's gonna love you now?!" Kaminari added. I mean, I'm not convinced he's not an idiot...
"Everyone, trust me." Mineta replied. See?
"Ashido, Kaminari! We've still got time to study! That way we'll all get to go to the training camp together, right?" Ever the optimist, Izuku encouraged both our classmates. Having placed in 5th himself in the midterms, he had a right to be. Iida, who placed in third right below me, raised his hand as if taking an oath.
"Yes! As Class Rep, I have high hopes that we'll make UA proud!" Iida shouted.
"It's pretty hard to fail if you just pay attention in class, isn't it?" Todoroki asked, the Peppermint boy placing in sixth right behind Izuku.
"You're not wrong." I shrugged, but Kaminari acted like we wounded him.
"Why you gotta cut me down like that?!" He whined.
"Hey, don't worry about it, you two, I can catch you up to speed on the important topics if you want." Momo offered. I swear that woman's too much of a goddess for her own good...
"You're the best, Yaomomo!" Kaminari and Mina exclaimed. Since when has her nickname ever been Yaomomo? She instantly darkened, hanging her head.
"I'm afraid it won't be of any help when it comes to the practical, though..." She trailed off.
"I've been studying but... Could you help me out too? I'm having some trouble understanding quadratic functions." Kyoka had placed 8th, but approached our Yaomomo anyway.
"Really?"
"Tutor me, please! Classical Japanese is killing me!" Seto approached her next. He placed 18th on our midterms...
"Ah..."
"Is there room for one more?" Ojiro asked before Yaomomo could even have a chance to respond. "I'm afraid I'm falling behind a little." He placed 9th in the midterms.
"Pretty please!" They all begged her. She lit up again.
"This is wonderful!" She jumped out of her seat, pumping her arms in the air. "Yes! Let's do it!"
"All right!" They cheered.
"Okay, then. We can hold a study session at my residence over the weekend." Yaomomo went planning.
"Seriously?! I can't wait to see your fancy digs!" Mina squealed. As Yaomomo went on a tangent planning the study session, Todoroki approached me.
"Would you want to study together, Yagi?" He asked. I smiled.
"Sure, did you want to meet up somewhere?" I countered. He shrugged, signalling he didn't know. "Okay, well, there's this little café nearby Tatooine station if that's okay?" I asked. He nodded.
"Sounds good." He answered, making me smile.
"It's a plan then." I replied.
"You think I don't know enough?! Maybe I should be at the lessons into your skull!" We then heard Bakugo (4th place in the midterms) growling at Kirishima (who placed 16th). I sighed.
"I'm counting on it." Kirishima responded.
"Hah, everyone's panicking right now. But it won't do any good to cram this late in the game." Aoyama stated as Shouji- who came in 11th- walked over to him.
"Shouldn't you be more concerned? You didn't do very well in the midterms." He asked, pointing out that Aoyama came in 19th in the midterms.
"Are you talking about moi? I did just fine, thank you." Aoyama replied. At lunch, Izuku, Tsu, Toru, Ochaco, Iida, Todoroki and I sat together.
"I'm kinda scared about the practical. I have no idea what it's gonna be." Izuku said.
"Neither do I..." I trailed off.
"Hard to believe they'd give us anything too crazy." Iida answered, making me look at him.
"Considering those of us who weren't at recommendation level had to fight robots in the practical of the entrance exam, I beg to differ. For all we know, they could put us against our teachers." I brought up.
"Please don't jinx it, Hino." Ochaco and Toru begged me. I shrugged.
"I'm not, I'm just saying."
"Anyways, the written exam questions will all be stuff from class, so..." He took a bite of food. "I should be able to do those." At his words, Ochaco stiffened, probably remembering that she came in 14th during the entrance exam.
"Do you really think it's going be that simple?" She asked, sounding nervous.
"It's driving me nuts. I just wanna know what they'll have us doing." Izuku responded.
"It's a comprehensive test of everything we learned from this year." Toru replied, having placed 17th while Tsu had placed 7th.
"Yep, and that's about all we could get Mr. Aizawa to tell us." Tsu added.
"Okay, so then, it'll cover combat and rescue training. Oh, and basic training." Ochaco summed up.
"We can't just study-we have to stay in great physical shape-" Izuku's stomach suddenly hit the table as he got elbowed in the head. I instantly jumped out of my seat, glaring at the blond asshole who caused it, but got yanked back down by Todoroki.
"Oh, sorry, your head's so big that it's hard to miss." He cracked.
"Yours is bigger, should I put a burn mark on that big ass forehead of yours?!" I snapped.
"Hino!" Ochaco's tone was warning.
"He started it." I looked at her.
"You're from class 1-B. Um... Monoma, right? That really hu-"
"I heard you guys stumbled across the Hero Killer. Just like in the Sports Festival, Class 1-A isn't happy unless they're the center of attention." Monoma was really starting to tick me off.
"Maybe if you'd actually brought your A-game, you would have had the spotlight in the Sports Festival, not my fault your battle IQ's at 20. Besides that, it wasn't like we were looking for the Hero Killer." I replied. I mean, one of us was, but the blond Wanna-B didn't need to know that.
"But you do realize you're not in the spotlight because people think you're good heroes, right? It's just that you keep getting into so much trouble. Here's food for thought: Some day, the rest of us might get caught up in your mess, and then we'll all become unwitting victims as well. What kind of horrible villains will you bring down upon us?"
"Can I burn him yet?" I mumbled with my teeth clenched.
"He's not worth it, Yagi." Todoroki told me, keeping a hand on my arm to keep me from jumping across the table.
"What demon-" He got cut off by a girl with an orange ponytail. She caught his lunch tray as he dropped to the floor, Kairi standing over him.
"That's not funny, Monoma!" Kairi chided him.
"You heard what happened to Iida, chill out!" Kendo told him.
"Kendo." Iida spoke her name.
"I apologize for him... I'm pretty sure he has a hole where his heart should be." Kendo apologized. I glanced at Monoma. And I'm pretty sure you knocked him out! I thought.
"So, we were listening... We know you're all worried about what's going to be on the big final practical." Kendo brought up.
"We heard it's gonna be combat against robots like the entrance exam." Kairi tilted her head slightly.
"Huh?!" Ochaco and I both cried out.
"What? Really? How do you know that?" Izuku asked.
"One of my friends who's a few grades up filled me in. I know, cheating but... Oh well." Kendo answered. While the others were talking, Kairi noticed the fact that Todoroki still had his hand on my arm and looked at me, smirking. I looked away from her, hiding the fact that my face was burning.
"What kind of idiot are you, Kendo?" As Izuku was rambling, Monoma woke up. "You just have away our whole strategic advantage! This was our chance to finally pull ahead of that class full of idiots!" He got splashed with water courtesy of Kairi's quirk.
"You're the idiot!" She exclaimed just as Kendo chopped him again.
"Right, they're not the idiots!" Kendo told him before she dragged him away.
"Good luck on exams, guys!" Kairi beamed, hoping onto one foot as she waved goodbye. As I watched her walk away, I noticed Tetsutetsu join her and sling an arm around her, making her lean her head on his shoulder. Awwww, how cute! I thought.
"ALRIGHT!" Mina and Kaminari exclaimed a while later after we told everyone else the news Kendo had given us.
"This'll be super easy if it's just robots!" Kaminari added.
"Such awesome news!" Mina exclaimed.
"Why do you sound so happy?" Shouji asked. "You both have a hard time controlling your Quirks."
"Yeah, but I can let loose with robots!" Kaminari pumped his fists. Why do I feel like my earlier statement's gonna end up jinxing us? I thought as Mina did the same thing as Kaminari.
"Now you just need Yayorozu to help you study and you'll be all set for finals." Sero was pointing out.
"We'll definitely be able to go to the training camp now!" Kaminari and Mina cheered.
"It shouldn't matter if it's robots or actual people. Why are you morons so excited?" Bakugo growled out.
"Hey, who're you calling a moron?!" Kaminari yelled.
"Shut up!" Katsuki roared, making Kaminari shrink. "You need to learn how to control your Quirk! Ya got it?!" He then turned to Izuku. "Hey! Deku!" The intensity got so thick you could cut it with a knife. "I don't know what's goin' on with your power, but I saw the way you're using it now and I want you to know... It's seriously pissing me off."
"Uh oh... He must mean how Deku was flying around like him the other day..." Ochaco trailed off worriedly.
"Oh, yeah, totally..." Mina realized.
"We'll be getting individual scores in the upcoming finals. New rankings. So we'll all know exactly where we're standing! I'll show you how much better I am." He then turned his gaze on our red and white haired classmate. "And Todoroki? I'll kill you, too." Todoroki didn't respond, and Bakugo turned his eyes on me.
"I'm not holding back." I replied before he could say anything... He stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I rolled my eyes.
"It's been a while since I've seen him that worked up." Kirishima commented after a minute.
"Think it's impatience? Or hatred?" Tokoyami asked.
"Hatred? He wants to be the best at everything, so that's how he acts. He's just being competitive." I answered, crossing my arms over my chest and leaning against the side of my desk. With Izuku, it was different though... Ochaco was right, there was a rivalry there, though it seemed one sided. He did seem to hate me just as much as Izuku in the past, but... It didn't have as much bite to it as it did before the Sports Festival if that makes any sense... Anyway, for the next week, I studied and trained on my own and when the weekend finally came, I met up with Todoroki to do our own study group. I had dressed casually, just in jeans, a T-shirt and combat boots with my hair in a low ponytail pulled over my left shoulder. When I arrived, I was a little early, so I just ordered a drink and decided to study a bit on my own while I waited for Todoroki. But, much as I tried, I couldn't focus. The nightmare was happening every night now. I messed with the necklace around my neck as I sat back in my seat, taking my glasses off for a second to pinch the bridge of my nose. You were meant to be just like me.... What the hell does that even mean? And who's voice was it? The more the nightmare kept happening, the more the other voice took over my own until it was all I could hear...
"Yagi? Are you okay?" I looked up to see Todoroki had arrived. He had his school bag slung over his shoulder, and he was wearing gray pants, his usual light blue sneakers, and a navy blue button up that was left open the reveal the white shirt he had on underneath.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I gave a small smile. "Just lost in thought for a second. I'm glad you made it okay." I answered him.
"The directions you gave were pretty detailed." He shrugged off his bag and sat down across from me before he noticed my drink. He looked confused, making me have to bite back a giggle.
"It's strawberry milk tea with strawberry boba, do you want one?" I asked. He looked at me for a second.
"I couldn't ask that..."
"You're not, I'm offering." I interrupted. He blinked for a couple more seconds before nodding. I smiled. "I'll be right back then." With that, I got up and ordered another one for Todoroki.
"Quite the cutie you got across from you." Jarsa, the barista that usually works when I come in, commented.
"Don't even, he's just a friend." I told her.
"Really? Because the way he looks at your reminds me of the way my husband used to look at me." She threw back. I felt my face burn, making her laugh as she gave me the milk tea for Todoroki. "You're not denying it."
"We're just friends, I'm not gonna get burnt again the way I got burned with... Well... You know..." I trailed off, rubbing the back of my neck.
"He doesn't give me the bad vibes that blood manipulator gave me." Jarsa was quick to reply. "Go on." She shooed me toward him again. I shook my head before I rejoined Todoroki.
"Here you go." I gave it to him.
"Thank you." He replied. I watched him as he looked at the way it was sealed, looked at the straw, then looked at me for help. A few giggles left me before I motioned for him to give it back to me. Once he did, I showed him how to unwrap the straw and to stab it through the top before giving it back to him. I watched him stare at the cup for a few seconds before I giggled, muffling it with my hand.
"Go ahead, try it." I encouraged him. Once he took a drink, I put my glasses back on and went back to studying. After a few minutes of silence between us, I heard him speak again.
"Have you always had glasses?" I looked at him to find him staring at me.
"Yeah, I wear them in class all the time." I answered. Had he not noticed this whole time? Then again, he was pretty oblivious so far, so...
"You look pretty with glasses..." He looked away. "Actually, you always look pretty..." Did this guy know what he was doing to me?! I looked at my notebook.
"Thank you." I murmured, feeling him stare at me.
"Are you all right? Your face is really red." I felt him out a hand on my forehead. "Your forehead's really hot..."
"Yeah, I'm fine." I managed to get out, trying to get a hold of myself. I could practically hear the giggle fit coming from behind the counter. Oh my god, kill me now... Once I got a hold of myself, the study session actually went pretty well. Todoroki was definitely smart, logical, and he could solve problems as soon as he saw them. Kinda made me wonder why he'd invited me to study with him in the first place... He probably could have done all the studying on his own in a much quicker time frame. It honestly did help since he knew how to solve the problems I wasn't sure of, and I even helped him figure out the answers to a few things when he wasn't sure. Once I got home, I trained, using everything I'd learned. I suddenly wondered how Kirishima and Bakugo's study group was going, snickering as I imagined Bakugo hitting Kirishima in the head with a rolled up newspaper everytime the redhead got an answer wrong. They probably even got kicked out of the place they were studying because of Bakugo's explosive temper...
You were meant to be just like me. I got startled out of my thoughts by that same voice again, except this time, I wasn't dreaming. I looked around. No one else was there, and I was home, so I would have definitely heard something if someone had entered... I decided to call it for the day, going inside with a shudder. The next day, the exams started. It felt like all the written exams passed in the blink of an eye, and before I knew it... "All right, put your pencils down." Day 3 of the exams had arrived. The last person in each row, bring the answer sheets to me." Mina and Kaminari were already out of their seats as Yaomomo collected our row's papers.
"Thanks so much for all your help!" Mina exclaimed gratefully.
"I didn't leave anything blank at least!" Kaminari added. That afternoon, we were brought to the Central Plaza training area after we were dressed in our costumes, only to find ourselves lined up across from all our teachers.
"Now then, let's begin the last test." Mr. Aizawa began. "Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you wanna go to camp, but make any stupid mistakes."
"Why are all of the teachers all here?" Kyoka asked.
"I expect many of you have gathered information and believe you have some idea of what you'll be faced with today." Mr Aizawa answered.
"We're fighting those big ol' metal robots!" Kaminari had the gall to open his fat mouth.
"Fireworks! S'mores! Here we come, camp!" Mina exclaimed.
"Actually, this year's tests..." Principal Nezu popped out of Mr. Aizawa's scarf. "... Will be completely different, for various reasons." What is it with our principal and our teacher's scarf?
"Principal Nezu!" Kyoka, Ojiro and Sero all exclaimed.
"You're changing things?" Yaomomo asked in disbelief.
"The tests now have a new focus." Principal Nezu was explaining while he climbed down from Mr. Aizawa. "There will be Hero work, of course. But also teamwork and combat between actual people." Oh no... "So, what does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs and your opponents will be one of our esteemed UA teachers! Isn't"t that fabulous!" I felt all the eyes of my friends looking at me. Looks like I jinxed it... Oops... Meanwhile, the rest of the class were wide eyed with shock.
"We're.... fighting the teachers?!" Ochaco questioned.
"Additionally, your partners and opponents have already been chosen. They were determined at my discretion based on various factors, including fighting style, grades and interpersonal relationships. First off, Yayorozu, Yagi, and Todoroki are a team.... Against me." I glanced at Ochaco, seeing her look at me. I'm pretty sure my nerves were all over my face since she gave me a sympathetic look. "Then, we have Midoriya paired with Bakugo." They both were as shocked as I was, looking at each other, but our teacher wasn't done. "And their opponent is..." That's when Dad showed up and my eyes went wide.
"I am here to fight!" Dad exclaimed as he stood upright. I looked at Izuku, nervous for him. It wouldn't have been a problem for me to go against my Dad, considering I knew the exact time limit he was on and his weaknesses. Thinking about it, that's probably why Mr. Aizawa didn't put me against my own Dad, but to put Dad's number one fanboy and successor against him with the kid that hated said successor... This wasn't good...
"We're up against All Might?!" They both exclaimed at the same time.
"You're going to have to work together, boys, if you want to win!" Dad told the two. One glare from Bakugo directed at Izuku told me he wasn't going to listen, though. Dad chuckled.
"And now, let's announce the teams and teachers they'll be fighting in order." Principal Nezu announced. First up would be Sato and Kirishima against Cementoss, Tsu and Tokoyami against Ectoplasm, Iida and Ojiro against Power Loader, me, Todoroki and Yaomomo against Mr. Aizawa, Aoyama and Ochaco against Thirteen, Mina and Kaminari against Principal Nezu, Kyoka and Koda against Present Mic, Toru and Shoji against Snipe, Mineta and Sero against Midnight and finally Izuku and Bakugo against my Dad. Oh great, that fight's gonna be last? "To complete the exam, you'll have 30 minutes. In order to win, your objective is to put these handcuffs on your teacher. Or, you can win if one of you manages to escape from the combat stage." Principal Nezu explained.
"So, we've either got to capture the teacher or run away. It's basically like the combat training." Kaminari summed up.
"Yeah, but is it really okay to just jet?" Mina asked.
"Yup." Principal Nezu answered her.
"It's going to be much different than that combat training you all went through earlier. After all, you're up against people way better than you!"
"Better? Really?" Kyoka mumbled under her breath. "Wait, aren't you just the announcer?"
"Hey, watch your mouth, girl- Have some respect!" Present Mic answered.
"This time, your exam will be very similar to a real battle. As strange as it is, please think of us as villains." Thirteen told us, though her words only made me picture my Dad as a villain that towered over everyone and was too strong for any hero to fight. The thought honestly made me shudder.
"Assumin' you come across your enemy, if you think you can win against them, then fight. However..."
"In instances where you're outmatched, it would be smarter to run away and find help. Todoroki, Iida, Midoriya, Yagi. I'm sure the four of you understand." Mr. Aizawa finished Snipe's thought.
"I won't make that mistake again. I will pass this test and prove that I'm a hero!" Iida exclaimed.
"So, we fight to win.... Or run to win." Izuku murmured.
"That's right! It's a test of your decision-making skills. But with these rules, you're probably thinking your only real choice is to flee. That's why the support course made these super clever accessories for us." Dad held up some kind of... metal bracelet?
"Behold! Ultra-compressed weights!" Present Mic told us.
"These babies will add about half our body weight to our physiques. It's not much, but they will eat up our stamina and make it harder for us to move around." Dad explained. I mean, in your case, you're adding double your body weight since you have four while the rest have two... I thought, just as Dad grunted. "Oh shoot... These are heavier than I thought! We had a contest to come up with these designs, and Young Hatsume ended up winning it." The girl with pink hair and goggles that was zipping across the second obstacle during the sports festival? I thought.
"You think we need a handicap to win against you?" Bakugo growled. "Well think again."
"You seriously think you can take All Might without it?" I countered. Dad just laughed.
"This'll be fun." Dad replied.
"Let's begin. The teams will take the practical exams in the order you were called. We have a stage prepared for you. Sato, Kirishima, you're up."
"Yes, sir!" They exclaimed before the teachers filed into the building.
"Those waiting their turn to fight can either watch the exams or strategize together as a team. It's your choice. That's all." Mr. Aizawa told us before following the other teachers.
"Ojiro, I'd like to discuss how we might be able to coordinate the use of our Quirks." Iida was the first one to speak.
"Great." Ojiro replied.
"Tokoyami? Let's go come up with a plan." Tsu replied.
"Agreed." Tokoyami replied while they went inside together.
"We've got to figure out a way to destroy Miss Midnight's costume!" Mineta exclaimed.
"You are such a little scumbag." Sero mumbled as he followed Mineta inside.
"Come on, Momo, let's come up with a plan." I told her before looking at Todoroki. "You coming?" I asked him. He looked at me before walking away. I sighed. "He already has a plan." I shook my head. Knowing him, it would be having us make a run for the gate while he holds off Mr. Aizawa.
"Then my plan won't work..." Momo answered. I looked at her.
"Hey, not every plan works, we should still strategize just in case his doesn't pan out. Knowing Mr. Aizawa, I don't think the plan Todoroki has in mind will work." I told her. She looked unsure, but nodded, going with me into one of the waiting rooms. But, not even two minutes after we had sat down to talk, the buzzer went off.
"Sato and Kirishima have been knocked out! Exam over!" The automated system announced.
"Seriously?!" I asked, looking up.
"That was fast." Yaomomo commented.
"Yeah, too fast... Looks like the match will be harder than we thought, I'm glad we agreed to strategize about this together." I told her. "What's the idea you have?" I asked after a second. She looked away from me. "Hey, don't close up on me. Please?" I tried again to get her to answer, but to no avail. "Momo, we're a team..."
"Team Tokoyami and Asui have passed the final!" The announcement came. Momo stood up.
"So Tokoyami and Asui have passed their exam... I'm not surprised." She finally spoke, leaving the room with me right behind her.
"Team Ojiro and Iida have passed the final!" The automated system announced the end of Iida and Ojiro's match just as we arrived to our arena. We met up with Todoroki.
"It's our turn now. Let's go." Todoroki told us. Momo was still holding back, and she looked unsure of herself again.
"Yaomomo." I called her by her nickname, which snapped her out of it.
"What's wrong, are you nervous?" Todoroki asked her.
"Oh... No."
"It's okay... With our opponent, I don't blame you." Todoroki, she just said she's not nervous! I thought, but Todoroki wasn't done. "Don't worry, I have a plan in mind for us."
"Todoroki, don't you think we should..." Before I could say anything more, I was cut off by the buzzer.
"Team Todoroki, Yagi and Yayorozu. Practical Exam. Ready. Go." The announcement went over the speakers. Shit, so much for hashing it out... As we ran, Todoroki told us his plan. "Yayorozu, listen, I want you to keep making small objects. When you stop being able to, it means Mr. Aizawa's close by." I knew it...
"Or at least we're within his line of sight... Todoroki, we should have-" I added, once again trying to get Todoroki to listen.
"Our success will depend on which one of us finds the other first. Once we spot him, I'll draw him to me. Then, you two can run to the escape gate and win this thing for us. Just stay close to me until then." Aaand once again, my protest fell on dead ears. This is oddly familiar... Momo opened her mouth to say something, drawing my attention to her. She does have a plan, I knew it! I thought. Todoroki noticed our focused had changed and spoke again. "C'mon, hurry up and start making things." She looked down.
"Sure... No problem..." Momo replied. No, no, you have to tell him your plan, Yaomomo, come on! I wanted to scream at Todoroki for not listening to her, but Yaomomo wouldn't speak up for herself either. As we continued to run, Yaomomo created Russian dolls, small and easy to store away. I will admit one thing, seeing Todoroki's look of utter confusion was hilarious.
"Um... I guess those work okay, but what are they?" He asked.
"Oh, these things? They're just Russian nesting dolls." Momo answered.
"Right... Let me know if either of you notice your Quirks acting strangely at all." Todoroki activated his ice side before continuing to run. I noticed Yaomomo hesitate.
"Yaomomo, if you have a plan, voice it. The only way we're going to pass is if we communicate with each other." I told her. She shook her head.
"It won't work... Come on, we gotta catch up to Todoroki." She told me before hurrying after our teammate, making the Russian dolls as she went. I sighed, following after her as I activated my fire on one hand, at the ready for a fight. "I'd expect nothing less from you, Todoroki."
"What'd you mean?" He asked.
"You were able to come up with a plan to use against Mr. Aizawa so quickly. You knew exactly what was best as soon as we started." It's not the best plan...
"This is nothing." Todoroki waved off her compliment. Yaomomo stopped.
"No... You're wrong." Todoroki and I both stopped to face her. "As students who got into UA through recommendations, you and I started from the same place, Todoroki. But, in terms of the practical skills that a hero needs, I haven't really managed to do anything that stands out. During the Calvary battle, I just followed your orders, and then when it was my turn to fight, I failed before I could do anything..." That was when I noticed that my flames had stopped burning and the dolls were stopped.
"Yaomomo, the dolls!" I pointed out.
"He's coming!" Todoroki realized.
"I'm sorry!" Yaomomo apologized.
"If you know I'm here, then you should be acting." Aizawa spoke from above us. Todoroki and I turned as he dropped down from the telephone wires. "I would suggest that you prioritize evasion since I've taken your powers from you."
"Yayorozu, Yagi, go!" Todoroki attacked Mr. Aizawa.
"Would you pull your head out, there's gotta be another way! We need to regroup and actually talk about this like we should have before the rest even started!" I flared up in anger as Yaomomo ran for it, trying to get him to listen to me.
"Don't argue, just go!" He yelled back. I grit my teeth.
"Todoroki, listen to me-"
"I can handle this myself, Yagi! I don't need your help!" Todoroki shot at me, interrupting me. I stepped back a bit, his words stinging me a bit. Did he really believe that? That I wasn't strong enough to handle this? After everything? "Yagi, go!" He shouted again. I ran after Yaomomo. If Todoroki wouldn't listen, maybe I could get her to listen... I lost track of her after a minute, and despite it being risky, I jumped into the air to look for her with a bird's eye view. I saw Todoroki get captured before I spotted Yaomomo going the opposite way of the escape gate.
"What is she doing?" I asked myself before flying toward her, landing in front of her and getting her to a shadowed area in one movement. She was panting on a panic attack and looked extremely out of it. "Yaomomo, can you hear me?" I asked her. She nodded as Mr. Aizawa passed where we were hiding. "Name five things you can see." I told her. She gave me a weird look. "Just do it."
"The sky, the street, the wall, you and my nesting dolls." She seemed a bit calmer as she answered.
"Name four things you can feel."
"Your hands on my shoulders, my heart racing against my chest, the ground below me and the wall behind me." She was continuing to calm down more.
"Good. Three things you can hear."
"Your voice, my own, and Mr Aizawa looking for us close by."
"We're out of his line of sight for the moment, we're fine. Two things you can smell."
"My sweat and... Hino, are you wearing perfume?"
"Yeah, I didn't go for too strong of a smell. One thing you can taste."
"My spit?" She was back to herself now.
"Gross, but it counts." I smiled back. "Now that we have a second, we can regroup."
"How are we supposed to get Todoroki back?!" She whisper-shrieked.
"Simple, I cause a distraction by shooting my flames away from the direction we're going to go. When Mr. Aizawa's back is turned, I use my wings to get us both back to Todoroki so you can tell us your plan. We'd be well out of eyeshot before he realizes what's happening."
"You're that fast?" She asked.
"Were you paying attention during the Sports Festival?" I countered.
"Besides, I doubt my plan will work." And we were back to the lack of self confidence.
"Well, I don't have a plan besides getting past Mr. Aizawa to get Icy Hot's dumb butt out of capture, so it's either we try yours or we fail this." I pointed out. She blinked.
"Hang on, did you just use Bakugo's nickname for Todoroki?" She asked.
"That's not important right now, do you think you can tell Todoroki and I your plan if I get us to him?" I asked. She stared at me, looking unsure for a minute before nodding, the look on her eyes changing. I smiled. I shot some fire out from where we were, which landed in the alley across from us just as Aizawa was passing by us for another patrol. Just as he turned to look where it landed, I shot into the air with Yaomomo in my hands. I flew as fast as I could, using my fire at my feet to go faster. That dumbass half and half... I wanted to smack him so hard for the comment he made. I knew he only said it to get me to run, but it still hurt... Besides, part of being a team was relying on each other. This wasn't like the Hero Killer, Mr. Aizawa knew what our Quirks were as well as our limits. He should have talked his plan over with us before all this...
"Todoroki!" Yaomomo and I both called to him as I landed, the two of us running toward him.
"Yaoyorozu! Yagi!" He looked so surprised, I wanted to laugh, but remembered I was mad at him.
"I'm sorry I came back! I couldn't-"
"Hey, watch it! Mr Aizawa's coming!" Once again, Todoroki interrupted her, but it was to warn us that Mr Aizawa caught up to us.
"So much for the distraction I caused..." I mumbled before noticing Yaomomo was starting to panic again. But, before I could say anything, Todoroki spoke up.
"Yayorozu, you've got a plan, don't you? I'm sorry to bother of you, I should have asked before and not told either of you what to do! But, you have an idea, right?"
"Your plan didn't work, so there's no way mine will be any good. All of us are gonna fail."
"That's not true." I put in.
"Spit it out already! I'm saying that you're the one who's the better at this kind of stuff, not me!" She looked up at him. "When we were voting for class rep, you had two votes, remember?! One of those votes was mine, because I thought you would be the best at leading our class!" I could see that his words really struck her, but before she could say anything, Mr. Aizawa jumped into the air above us.
"Giving up?" He asked.
"Not yet!" Yaomomo cried out. "Todoroki, Yagi, close your eyes!" She tossed them up into the air, Mr. Aizawa looking confused.
"What are these?" He asked, kicking one open midair. I realized the same that the doll opened what she had actually been making and shit my eyes, turning away for a second as the flash bangs exploded, blinding our teacher. "Flash grenades?" I heard him question.
"You're right! I have an idea. A plan for us to win!" Yaomomo told Todoroki as she let Todoroki down carefully. "This final exam isn't over." We both stood by him as the binds around him loosened, freeing him. "We can still beat Mr. Aizawa!" Just then, our teacher recovered.
"So, you've got a strategy."
"Yes, I've been thinking about it from the beginning. His weakness."
"Just tell us what to do, Yaomomo." I told her before Mr. Aizawa moved to a higher vantage point. We all knew that because of Mr. Aizawa's injuries from the USJ attack, he couldn't use his Quirk for as long as he used to, and he had to rest more between erasures.
"Guys, watch it!" I warned as we all jumped back, avoiding Mr. Aizawa. Todoroki went to use his fire, but Mr. Aizawa used his quirk and erased it.
"Yagi, Todoroki, we have to hide together!" All three of us ran, and I was honestly glad to have our rhythm back on track. "Since he was injured, his Quirk has become unstable!" Yaomomo was pointing out the very weakness that I had been thinking about just a second ago.
"Because of what happened at the USJ?" Todoroki asked.
"We're going to exploit that." I added.
"Not yet. For now, we just need to get out of his field of vision. It's all a matter of timing. We're going to pass this final!"
"That's our Vice President." I grinned.
"Timing? How is getting out of his line of sight gonna help us with that?" Todoroki questioned. "He can still take our Quirks whenever he sees us.
"Just do as I tell you." Yaomomo replied as he turned a corner. "Keep checking to see if you can use your ice power, okay?"
"Not fast enough, kids!" Mr. Aizawa shouted, his scarf heading toward me.
"He's wrong to think he'll be able to keep our Quirks erased the whole time. There will definitely be a single moment... A brief interval when Mr. Aizawa blinks before he can use his Quirk again!" Todoroki's ice power kicked in a second later. "And I'll be counting on you in that moment to attack like you did in the Sports Festival! A giant ice wall!" He used his ice power to create just what Yaomomo was looking for.
"I blocked him with the wall the moment my Quirk came back. We can use our powers again." As Todoroki activated his flame side to counteract the frost that has started on his right side, I noticed Yaomomo moving the sides of her shirt, and I immediately put my wings up to give her privacy. Considering how much shorter I was, I was barely covering her, and I looked away to give her more privacy as her Quirk activated. "So, can you tell me the rest of your plan now?" That was when he turned. Considering the top of my wing only came to just above her chest, it was probably a weird sight to see me standing with my wings out and covering Yaomomo who had her shirt open while I was looking away. Todoroki looked away, sounding hilariously strained as he spoke again. "Is that Aizawa's scarf you're making?" He asked.
"It is. I don't know the material it's made of or precisely how it's constructed, so it's not exactly the same. But, I created my own version with a special material woven into it. Since this is a residential area, we must keep the collateral damage to a minimum. And he moves his own restraining bonds so quickly, it makes it difficult to catch him. So, you see, here is my plan..." After she explained it, it made total sense, and I honestly knew it would work better than Todoroki's plan had. "What'd you think, Todoroki?" She asked our teammate as we looked at the catapult she had made a long with the scarf. "I believe this has the highest chance of success. Or at least... It's better than trying to run." She sighed softly. "We'll only get one chance." She looked at him. "So, is this all right with you?" She asked. I nodded.
"Let's make it count." I replied before looking at Todoroki. He nodded.
"Yeah, no complaints here." He replied before we put cloaks over ourselves and ran the opposite way that Mr. Aizawa was. "Hey, Yagi... I wanted to say to you... I'm sorry for what I said earlier." I looked at him as we ran. "I wanted you to run during my plan, and I realize that I must have hurt you with what I said by focusing on trying to keep you and Yayorozu out of harm's way."
"I know you were doing what you thought was the best thing, Todoroki. Now, let's pass this final." I smiled at him, showing him that I forgave him. Just then, Aizawa took our bait, the cloaks being ripped off us, revealing the mannequins the three of us had been carrying. Yaomomo went to hit the latch, but missed it by a hair. I saw panic cover her face again. "Stay on target, Yaomomo!" I encouraged her, hitting it with her as Mr. Aizawa jumped back, giving us the opportunity to recover. "Todoroki, let's light it up!" I called to him, both us us using our flames before Mr. Aizawa could have a chance to react. Since Mr. Aizawa was in the air, we both aimed at the lowest part of the scarf Yaomomo had made.
"I'm not sure we would have a chance of beating you in a full battle, Mr. Aizawa, but that's okay! Tell me something: Have you heard of nitinol alloy? When heated, it returns to its original shape in an instant. It's a metal with shape memory!" The scarf tightened around Mr. Aizawa with the combined heat of mine and Todoroki's flames that same instant, capturing our teacher. We put the cuffs on him once Aizawa landed.
"I told you it would work, Yaomomo." I gently nudged her.
"It went exactly according to your plan. It was almost a little too smooth." Todoroki piped up.
"Honestly, it shouldn't have worked out... When I was about to trigger the catapult, I made a big mistake. Mr. Aizawa noticed, but still jumped away, even though he could have stopped me easily. I think he allowed himself to be captured by my plan on purpose."
"I was just trying to see what Todoroki would do. Yagi and you were both in my sights, but he still has a cloth over him, remember? I thought he's try to freeze me. So, I decided it would be best for me to back off. In doing so, it looks like I ended up playing right into your hands." Mr. Aizawa revealed to us.
"It really was just a matter of timing like you said, huh? Thanks, teammate." Todoroki thanked her.
"Exactly." I smiled at her. She started tearing up again, probably realizing what we had been trying to tell her the whole time. She covered her mouth.
"What's wrong? Do you feel sick?" Todoroki was instantly worried.
"No, it's nothing, really!" Yaomomo replied.
"If you feel nauseous, there's a pressure point you can press to-"
"No, I told you, I'm fine." Yaomomo interrupted him as the buzzer sounded.
"Team Todoroki, Yagi and Yayorozu have passed the final exam!" The announcement came, and I felt a sense of relief washing over me. Our test was finally over...

(Scene: A dimly lit college dorm room, cluttered with textbooks and empty pizza boxes. The roommates are sitting in a circle, discussing their lives.)
Alex: (sighs) What we getting for dinner, bruh?
Jordan: (checks the time) I can't believe it's already October. Time really flies man.
Taylor: (nods) Seriously, it feels like we just moved in a week ago. I need to find a job though I’m broke as shit.
Casey: (excited) Speaking of money, I finally found some time to organize my clothes. I sold some of that stuff online and finally made some cash.
Morgan: (shrugs) It be what it be. Money comes and goes. But, Alex, speaking of tough times, man, your team really sucks, doesn't it?
Alex: (defensive) Hey, leave football out of this! You know they’re gonna make a comeback this weekend. And, speaking of money, I can't wait to go on a Costco run next weekend. We really need to stock up on our cleaning supplies our dorm is starting to reek.
Jordan: (enthusiastic) Oh, I'm so in! Costco runs are the best, I love trying all their samples. Every time I go there I basically eat a whole meal! But, not gonna lie, I think I failed all my midterms.
Taylor: (concerned) Seriously? You're really smart, Jordan, you probably did great.
Casey: (optimistic) It's okay, you can probably still turn your grade around. We still have half the semester after all. Do you guys think I can still switch my major though?
Morgan: (laughs) You're already thinking about that? We're only a like two months in!
Alex: (changing the topic) Well, if you think Jordan’s having a bad time, wait till you learn that I skip my 8 A.M. lecture like every week. It's brutal.
Jordan: (mocking) Classic Alex! Seriously though, you might wanna consider going once in a while.
Taylor: (supportive) Yeah, Alex, attendance really does matter.
Casey: (grinning) So, back to dinner plans, are we ordering pizza again?
Morgan: (enthusiastic) Yeah, pizza sounds good, but let's switch it up and get some garlic knots as well this time.
Alex: (checks his wallet) Garlic knots and pizza it is, but you guys all need to chip in this time.
Jordan: (pulls out a stack of coupons) Don't worry, I've got some coupons we can try and save some money.
Taylor: (relieved) That's a relief. I really need to save up for some textbooks. My biology professor is making us buy one that’s like $300!
Casey: (excited) And I need to save up for a new laptop. My old one is on its last legs I feel like it's about to explode any day now.
Morgan: (reflective) You know, as broke as we are, I'm grateful for our little family here. We've got each other's backs.
Alex: (grateful) You're right, Morgan. College life can be tough, but it's better with you guys.
Jordan: (raising his pizza slice) Cheers to us! And to more Costco runs in the future.
Taylor: (raising her soda can) Cheers, everyone! Let's hope I can pass my midterms next time.
Casey: (raising a garlic knot) And here's to not switching majors anytime soon.
Morgan: (raising a slice of pizza) Cheers to the late-night talks and early-morning classes we survive together.
Alex: (raising his pizza slice) Cheers to skipping that 8 a.m. tomorrow!
(They all laugh, clink their food and drinks together, and dig into their dinner. The dorm room fills with the warmth of friendship and the hope of better days ahead.)

somebody to you - hrj
somebody to you - renjun
behold,, the FINAL part of my nct dream x the vamps songs series! leaving y’all with something really wholesome and fluffy bc i’m inlove with renjun
word count: 2.8k
summary: huang renjun didn’t like relationships. he thought they were messy, and honestly, a waste of time. he had his whole life ahead of him, so why would he need a significant other to be happy? that was all until he met you, and thought to himself, maybe it wouldn’t be all bad...
read the rest here!
//
I used to wanna be
Living like there's only me
But now I spend my time
Thinking 'bout a way to get you off my mind
renjun scrolled through his endless instagram feed, swiping through threads of his friends with their girlfriends. he would be lying if he said it didn’t make him
borderline sick. he was always a realist, never really seeing the point of having a serious relationship at such a young age. in his life so far, he’d probably say he’s only had one girlfriend, and it was a random girl he asked to prom so he wouldn’t feel left out. renjun was never opposed to love, he just wasn’t actively seeking it.
“dude i reckon you’re gonna like her! she’s super cool from the sounds of it, and she goes to our university!” haechan insists as the four boys sat down for dinner in their shared apartment.
“i don’t need you to set me up on a blind date. i’m capable of finding someone on my own, thank you very much” renjun rolled his eyes, fed up with the continuous discussions of his single status.
“yeah, and how’s that going for you?” jaemin chimed in, causing jeno and haechan to chuckle in response. renjun just scoffed, shoving his mouth with more food to avoid speaking further.
“give it a chance. the worst that could happen is that you don’t vibe with her and you never talk to her again” jeno tries his best to convince the stubborn boy. renjun just shrugs, his mind contemplating the idea.
“okay fine, one date. if you guys really think she’s soo good for me, let’s see how accurate you guys are” renjun snickers. he was not confident in their matchmaking skills at all, but he loved seeing them fail.
“perfect, i’ll set it up for you. just sit back, relax and be your boring self” haechan grins, tapping away on his phone. renjun ignores the cheeky boy’s comments, finishing up his dinner. his first date in over two years, this should be good...
I used to be so tough
Never really gave enough
And then you caught my eye
Giving me the feeling of a lightning strike
renjun was regretting this date already. all he knew about you was your first name and your uni course, nothing else. the boys had refused to show him any photos of you, claiming that it would be more ‘romantic’ if he fell for you at first sight...what a cliche, he thought to himself.
“how will i even know it’s her, if i don’t know what she freaking looks like?” renjun groaned, nerves slowly building up as haechan pulled up to the date location.
“i’ll point her out, okay? just trust me” renjun let out a short sigh, hands slightly jittery. why the hell was he nervous? it wasn’t like he was going to see her after this one date.
as renjun stepped out of the car, his eyes scanned the scenery.
“jeez, you guys really went all out for this date” he was amazed by the view. it was a restaurant that was by the water, multiple little boats sailing across it and the sounds of birds humming.
“of course, you only deserve the best” haechan winked, eyes looking for renjun’s date.
“dude what if she doesn’t even show up. does she even know what i look like?” renjun was slightly panicking at this point, drifting from his tough exterior.
“haechan?” a soft voice interrupted his thoughts. renjun’s eyes diverted to the owner of the voice. he felt stunned by the sight of you, dressed neatly in some jeans and a flowery blouse. you had slightly curled your hair, hands clutching to your purse as you greeted the two boys infront of you.
“hey y/n, this is renjun, your date for tonight! see you kids later, don’t get up to anything crazy” haechan chuckled to himself, shoving renjun to meet you. renjun almost clashed into your smaller frame, catching you off guard. you gently held his arms, keeping a small distance between you both.
“o-oh my bad, i-i’m renjun” he stammered, eyes meeting yours. you were slightly blown away by his looks...he was really attractive. well done, haechan.
renjun would say the same about you. even though he didn’t have a particular type, (as he found it kind of dumb tbh) he believed you could fit it perfectly.
“i’m y/n! nice to meet you” you widely smiled, renjun returning your expression as he pulled out his hand for you to shake. maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad after all.
Look at me now, I'm falling
I can't even talk, still stuttering
This ground I'm on, it keeps shaking
you were currently trying to hold back your laughter as renjun recounted the story of how he caught jaemin with his girlfriend...doing the nasty, during their first week of university.
“oh my goodness! were you scarred for life?” you slammed your fist on the table, causing others around you to glare. but renjun couldn’t even focus on them, attention solely on you.
“of course! it was the first week! like couldn’t they have just waited until midterms?” renjun chuckled at the memory, proud of himself that he made you laugh so much. he must be doing something right.
“you’re really funny, renjun. some of the other guys that haechan tried to set me up with were lowkey boring. i guess he sees me as boring too” you slightly frowned, watching as renjun piped up in his seat,
“y-you’re not boring at all! you’re funny! and pretty too” he muttered the last part, not wanting you to have heard. but you did. you decided not to linger on it much, afraid to make him too flustered.
“you’d be the first guy to say that” you shrugged, taking a small sip from your glass of water.
“have you had boyfriends in the past?” renjun suddenly asked, causing you to raise an eyebrow.
“i-uh i’ve had a few. nothing too serious though, how about you?” you curiously ask in return, watching as renjun looked down to his lap. he hesitated before answering,
“i’ve only had one girlfriend before. i’m not really an avid dater” renjun admits to you, hoping that you didn’t find him lame.
“oh neither am i! we have another thing in common! i feel like relationships can get really difficult to manage, especially if you aren’t in the right headspace, you know?” you started rambling, renjun stringing along to your every word. he found such beauty in the way you articulated your words. he was so entranced he almost forgot to respond.
“i totally understand how you feel, i’ve always thought that i should live my life to the fullest before i consider settling down” he commented, causing you to nod along. you really liked his answers, it seemed like you were both on the same page about relationships. you didn’t expect to enjoy his company this much, initially agreeing to go on the date so that haechan would stop teasing you for not having a boyfriend in uni yet.
you walked alongside renjun, waiting for your roommate to pick you up.
“i had a really good time tonight, renjun. thankyou” you kindly complimented, causing renjun to become more shy (if that was even possible).
“no thankyou! there were times i felt kind of awkward, but you really know how to carry a conversation” he smiled, watching as you started to get shy.
“are you flirting with me, huang renjun?” you teased, nudging his arm gently.
“so what if i am?” he nudged you back,
“well i don’t think i’d want you to stop” you smirked. before renjun could say anything back, your heard the familiar voice of your roommate urging you to get in her car.
“oh that’s my ride. i have to get going. this was nice, i’ll see you around renjun!” you hurriedly embraced the boy, placing a gentle peck to his cheek before rushing to your roommate’s car.
renjun still didn’t say anything back to you, his body frozen from your touch.
‘no no no’ he thought to himself...he was falling for her.
All I wanna be, yeah, all I ever wanna be, yeah, yeah
Is somebody to you
Everybody's tryna be a billionaire
But every time I look at you, I just don't care
“so are you gonna tell us about the date or do we have to call and ask her instead?” haechan teased as the rest of the boys sat in their living room. renjun has a book in his hands, wanting nothing more than peace and quiet after his long night.
“gosh, will you let me finish this chapter?” renjun huffed, causing jaemin and jeno to snicker. haechan pulled out his phone, holding it to renjun’s face,
“oh would you look at that? it would be a shame for my finger to slip and dial y/n” before he could continue, renjun hurriedly tossed his book to the side, tackling the pestering boy onto the ground, holding him down firmly.
“holy shit, did you get stronger?“ haechan could barely speak, still in shock from the sudden attack. renjun slowly leans back, letting out a tired sigh.
“you two are ridiculous, let’s cut to the chase, did you like her or not?” jaemin rolled his eyes, ready to hear all the tea.
renjun looked from side to side, not liking all the attention that was on him.
“i-she was really cool. honestly yeah, i did like her. but i don’t think she’s looking for anything too serious at the moment” renjun shook his head, thinking back to your heated discussion about relationships.
“okay that sounds like a cop out excuse. i think you’re just scared” jeno chimed in, the two other boys nodding along. renjun glared at them, trying his best to maintain his composure.
“yeah, i mean, did anything happen aside from good conversation?” jaemin continued to push, renjun now becoming more reserved. of course he trusted his friends, but they never really openly spoke about their feelings like this, it was quite new to all of them.
“she kissed me on the cheek before she left, does that mean something?” renjun muttered, watching as haechan tips himself over, now laying on the ground.
“you’re an idiot, must we spell it out for you? she’s totally into you as well” jeno groaned in frustration.
truth was, renjun wasn’t sure how to properly ask someone out, nonetheless be in a proper relationship with them. he was in desperate need of help...but all he had were his three idiot friends.
“i know i don’t know her well and all, but after she left, i couldn’t stop thinking about her. is this what it’s like to fall for someone? oh god...i’m falling” renjun started rambling to himself, jaemin and jeno now rested against him, shoulder touching either of his.
“the answer is pretty clear, man. go for a second date! make the move, she might be thinking the exact same thing” jeno shrugged, trying his best to advise his friend, the best he could. renjun bidded, actually agreeing with jeno for once.
suddenly, renjun felt his phone ringing. he immediately picked it up without looking at the caller ID.
as if you were listening in on their conversation, your voice rang through renjun’s ear.
“hello? is this renjun?” you nervously stammered, waiting for a response. renjun was completely frozen, his mouth hung wide as jeno pressed his own ear closer to the phone.
“y-yes this is him” renjun finally spat out, hands slightly shaking.
“oh great, this is probably coming as a surprise to you. but i uh, wanted to know if you’d be interested in going on another date” you were able to finish, heart racing as you held the phone tightly. renjun felt his heart stop after your words, jeno shaking him gently to snap out of his daze.
“o-oh yeah, i’d be really interested” renjun replies, mentally face palming himself for sounding a little too eager.
“amazing, i’ll keep in touch” you smiled to yourself, trying your best to contain your excitement. eventually you hung up, screaming into your pillow, kicking your feet up and down. was this how it felt to actually like someone?
“there’s your chance, don’t blow it!” haechan teased, throwing a cushion over to renjun who was still frozen well after the call had ended.
‘holy shit’ he mumbled.
//
the date you had planned for renjun, involved attending the local food markets they held once a month. you thought it would be a social enough setting for conversation to not get too awkward, as well as enjoy a variety of food. renjun met you at the bus stop, dressed in baggy jeans and a blue wind runner jacket. his hair was slightly styled, some strands gelled back. it really accentuated his facial features, making you admire him even more than you did before.
“you look really good today, i mean, not like you don’t look good everyday i’m sure you do..” you shook your head at your rambling, wanting nothing more but for him to laugh it off. renjun just smirked at you, planning another witty comment to respond,
“not as good as you though” he gently guided you to walk with him, his hand travelling to the small of your back. you slightly froze at the contact, but aimlessly followed him. he surely had his way with words.
as you both tasted some amazing food, renjun found him standing quite close to you. if you were trying a sample, he would stand behind you, his chest touching your back occasionally. it seemed really natural to him, and you didn’t mind it at all. he would often touch your shoulder gently to grab your attention, or pull you along by your waist. it gave you massive butterflies that you could shake off.
“did you want to start heading home? we can walk to the bus stop together” renjun offered kindly, his arm wrapped around your shoulder as you slowly made your way out of the large crowd. just as you were about to respond, rain started sprinkling from the sky. renjun quickly moved you to stand under some shelter as the rain came pouring.
“how the hell are we meant to walk in this?” you half shouted, clutching onto renjun’s side. he couldn’t bear moving you away from him,
“let’s just run, we can’t wait for it to pass” he suddenly took your hand, pulling you along as he bolted to the nearest bus stop.
“you’re so crazy, renjun!” you shout at the boy, giggling at the entire situation. before you knew it, renjun span you around, pulling you close to his chest.
“the only thing i’m crazy about is you” he confessed, catching you completely off guard. he had a habit of making such flirty comments, but this time you felt he wasn’t trying to joke around.
“w-what?” rain was washing over the both of you, your clothes completely soaked at this point.
“i really like you, y/n. i really freaking do. i didn’t want to admit it at first because i was scared of the idea of dating. but i want to be with you. i want to be somebody to you. everyone is out here trying to settle down and start their lives, but i feel like with you we can go at a steady pace. i don’t want to rush things, incase it gets messy, and difficult. but i just needed you to know that i really like you, and i hope it’s not all in my head that you like me back” renjun firmly confessed to you, eyes never leaving yours. you slowly raised your hand to wipe some rain drops off his face, watching as he smiled into your touch. he held you tightly in his arms, awaiting your response.
“renjun, i think i made it really clear that i like you back. i was also nervous about how you’d react, considering you weren’t really looking for anything serious at first. i think we should give it a shot, we can worry about all the stress and possible fights later on. all i know is that right now, you’re the only person i want to be standing in the rain with. now can you please kiss me?” you couldn’t contain your smile as renjun leaned into you. his lips pressing gently against yours. your fingers now running through his wet hair as he held your waist firmly. the kiss started getting deeper, the atmosphere really playing into the romantic nature of it all. eventually you both pulled away, foreheads presses against eachother, softly giggling.
that was the beginning of your relationship with renjun. despite having ups and downs (as expected) you both persevered and tried your absolute hardest to make things work. renjun finally admitted to himself: falling inlove wasn’t so bad...especially when it was with the right person.

"Girl I'm Your Candy" written by me (🍬 anon) bc I love you💕 (part 1/??)
Imagine Baekyun being a student in university. It was his third time messing up the dessert he had prepared for himself as a treat for a long week of midterms, and he was running short on money for all the ingredients he acquired in the past month. Not to mention the amount of times he has been late to class after many attempts to make his own coffee in the mornings.
He sighed in defeat, taking the bowl of extra whipped cream he had prepared to the couch, as he threw himself on the furniture and ate away at it with a spoon.
"Maybe baking isn't for me. But chemistry isn't for me either...Maybe I should just audition somewhere and hope I become famous!" Baekhyun exclaimed loudly in frustration with his mouth full with slightly salty whipped cream (yes, he did mistake the salt for sugar. yes, he thought if he put 1 cup of sugar it would overpower the salt).
The following day he decided to spend the rest of his day in a cafe that Chanyeol had suggested to him.
(okay i am posting the rest of your asks/the story under the cut but let me just say here NOT YOU GUYS WRITING WHOLE FICS IN MY INBOX ?? 🥺🥺🥺🥺 WHAT THE HELL YOU’RE SO CUTE I LOVE YALL 🥺🥺😚💘💘💘💘)
"yeah remember when I bought like 6 iced coffees" his tall friend had texted him.
"ooooh thats where u got them from??? u let me had one sip out of 6 drinks 🧍🏻♂️"
"like I said, the 6 iced coffees I bought as in for me"
Baekhyun scoffed at his friend, stuffing his phone into his pocket upon entering the cafe. It was a bit smaller than he imagined, given the popularity the location receives. The place wasn't filled to the brim with customers, being that it was only noon on a Tuesday. He placed himself in the line of three people, turning his attention to the large menu hanging on the wall behind the cashier. It seemed like they were the only employee working at the moment. Their bright smile as they greeted the customers, their concentration when taking orders, and their speed at preparing drinks.
"Sir?" Before Baekhyun knew it, he was at the front of the line, eyes wide as the cashier smiled at him. "What can I get for you?" They asked.
Baek cleared his throat, chuckling nervously. "Uh..can I just get a medium iced americano, please?"
"Of course, would you like one of our signature croissants or muffins with that? They're fresh out of the oven." They smiled brightly while inputting his order into the system. How could he deny such an adorable face?
"Uhm, sure!" Baek replied a bit too enthusiastically, "I-I'll have a muffin..."
The cashier chuckled, "And can I have your name?" They asked, retrieving a plastic cup and a marker as they looked up at Baekhyun's reddened face in awe. Baek couldn't help but avert his gaze when he felt his blush spread up to his ears, "B-Baek."
They hurriedly scribbled his name on the side of the cup, "Alright, $4.13 is your total for today." Baek turned his attention back to them, "Only $4.13? What about the muffin?"
Their smile grew, "It's on the house." They winked, "And how would you like to pay?"
--------------
Ever since then, Baekyun has been coming back to the cafe almost every day. He would go there before his afternoon classes, after his morning classes, to study, he even brought his friends there a few times. Of course you had to tell them to keep it down a few times, and Baekhyun not wanting to upset you threatened to not pay for their meal, but they loved it at the cafe and they all loved seeing you there.
Today was different. You knew Baek had finished his morning class by now, and would be arriving some time soon. However, he didn't show up around his usual time. You felt a bit disappointed, 'He's probably studying.' You thought to yourself as your coworker suggested you go for break.
Thirty minutes prior to closing, Baekhyun finally made his appearance. His backpack clung to his back that was clothed in a grey hood with hands hands in the pockets of his black ripped skinny jeans.
"Baekhyun!" You said his name gleefully, pulling him into a small over-the-counter hug, "Where were you today? I was worried you wouldn't show up."
He chuckled, "Just had some stuff to do, I wasn't expecting it to take that long." He replied with a cheeky grin.
You had just closed the cafe with Baekhyun accompanying you, happily kicking his legs as he sat upon the front counter while you swept the floor.
"C'mon 'Cinderella', you're gonna miss the ball if you dont move faster!" He teased, the both of you giggling.
"Whats your rush, Baek?" With a smile, he hopped off the counter and went to retrieve his bag that resided under the table he usually sat at.
You placed your broom back behind the counter, watching Baekhyun rummage through his bag and remove items you wouldn't normally put in a school bag (a toothbrush, a comb, five packets of sugar, a tube of lip gloss and a sock). Baekhyun huffed in frustration before unzipping a different pocket of his bag and letting out a loud "aha!".
"Found it!" He grinned, pulling out a small white box. He made his way back to you, thrusting the box in your way with a blush spreading across his cheeks.
Taking the box into your hands, you looked back up at Baekhyun and saw his smile widen, eyes crinkled in excitement. You couldn't help but smile back, lifting the white paper lid and unveiling the sweet contents.
"Macarons? Where did you get these from?" You asked.
Baekhyun laughed at your response, clasping his hands together happily, "I made them!" He replied.
Your eyes widened in slight shock. Macarons werent the easiest treats to make, even you struggled with them from time to time. But Baekhyun making them surprised you the most. You two had always discussed your hobby for baking, not one day went by where Baekhyun didn't bring up a failed attempt he had at making desserts, but you knew he was trying. While the macarons didn't look perfect, they looked better than any of your past attempts at making them.
Each one was made of different colours and flavors, with little faces messily adorning each delight with black icing;
⊙ㅅ⊙ (glasses)
'Dorky Mint'
•ㅅ- ~☆ (wink)
'Mature Cinnamon'
•ㅅ• ~♡
'Sweet Honey'
"Pfft," You laughed, covering your mouth with your hand to not embarrass the cute boy in front of you. "These are so cute!"
Baek smiled back and let out a laugh of his own, "Thanks. These were keeping me away from you today." He admitted bashfully.
Your hand moved from your mouth to your chest, right above your heart as you looked at him in awe, "You did all this just for me?" You cooed, pinching his squishy red cheek.
He whined as he removed your hand from his face and interlaced your fingers together. "I did. "I did...I tried my best to make them perfect l-like you.."
There was a brief silence before you both broke it with your boisterous laughter, "That was so cheesy," you started, setting the box down on the counter and taking Baek's other hand in your own. "But awfully sweet...just like you."
Baekhyun felt a grin spread across his face, "That was even cheesier-" he stopped in the middle of his sentence when he felt you gently cup his face, leaning in slowly until your lips finally connected.
End ♡
(SERIOUSLY THIS WAS SUCH A SWEET SURPRISE YOU GUYSSSSS 🤧🤧🤧🥳💓💓💓)

(1/11)Oh my gosh yesss I'm glad that you like long messages too because I talk way too much 😂 (And yeah about my friend and just hanging out w/ her more that's exactly what I was thinking 😂) It's actually kind of funny bc just yesterday I was hanging out at her house and her younger brother needed to go to Walmart and I was like 'I've been meaning to go to Walmart, I'll take you' and ofc since I have a bluetooth radio adapter the whole drive I had my Spotify going with some quality k-bops, lol
2)And as we were driving I noticed him kind of jamming and I was like 'Oh my god Mickey do you actually like this???' And he was Like 'yeah, these are some good bops 👍' I was shooketh. I had to go home before I had the chance to show him any music videos but he says he's open to watching some with me next time I see him. One way or another I'm going to turn someone in my social circle into a kpop fan you mark my words ☝ and then maybe we can team up and try to work on his sister some more 😂
3)I only started first getting into kpop last June so I'm still very new, but it's definitely super frustrating how so many ppl act like it's an inherently bad or cringey genre of music just bc it's kpop! The stigma is ridiculous! I also started out with BTS (lol) and since they're pretty popular in the US at least I was able to be like 'See, this isn't just a niche thing, lots of people know abt and like this group' but of course my dad still says 'Just cause it's popular doesn't make it good'
4)And I'm like? You're a band teacher, you of all people should understand that music doesn't have to be in your native language (or even have lyrics) in order for you to enjoy it, but go off I guess... It's the same with one of my college friends. They make fun of me for liking kpop but this is coming from some who still treats March 22nd (the day My Chemical Romance broke up) as a day of mourning. Like, no tea no shade no pink lemonade, MCR was a good band nothing wrong with liking them.
5)But like if you're 22 and you still haven't grown out of your emo phase do you really have room to pick on other people for their music taste? 🤷 Anyway that's the person who follows my main that I didn't want to know I had a kpop sb. I think I made it around July. Tbh it was pretty dead for most of 2018. But like I said I've started using it way more since I recently revealed that it exists, lol. Especially since that good good Astro cb 👏💗😩 But honestly Astro is such a blessing
6)Idk how I lived so long w/o them. When I first got into kpop I was planning on just sticking to BTS since the reaction to me being into kpop was so volatile. I was like 'I'm only into one group, ppl already are negative about me liking kpop so I'm just gonna stick to this and not become a full on multifandom fan' and then in Nov I accidentally let myself fall in love with Monsta X and that plan was foiled. And realizing I wasn't gonna be able to stick to just one anymore opened the floodgates
7)And I was like okay in that case, let's just start getting into *all groups* Lol. My story of getting into Astro was actually bc of my best friend's roommate (can you tell I have like one friend and my whole social circle kinda revolves around her? Lol) so this roommate when she heard me being sad about having no kpop friends was like 'oh hey, I'm kinda into kpop' and it turns out she didn't like very many groups and was one of the ppl who blah blah BTS is overrated, which ya know isn't ideal8)But I was just really desperate to have someone to talk about kpop with. And Astro was her favorite so I was like, okay I'll get into them so that I have something to talk about with her! So I started watching some videos and I fell in love with them pretty much instantly! And I was real excited bc #1 now I can talk about kpop with someone! And #2 this group is actually amazing? Bonus! ... And then they got in a big fight about their living conditions and the roommate ended up moving out RIP
9)So that didn't work out, lol (Your story about finding them during that internship sounds amazing though! Haha) But yeah, so this is my first cb too! And although I love them w/ my whole heart and would have loved to have them in my life even sooner what an amazing cb to be your first! The concept was wonderful, the album was excellent, the visuals were to *die* for. They worked so hard and I'm so proud of them and I'm so happy we got to see their work come to fruition and get them a win 🤧🤧
10)The dance practices though? You're so right omg 💗 Me and my Rocky bias *fully* understand 😂 All of them are such good dancers?? I never fail to be impressed. Of course you know who I always end up watching tho 👀 lol (̶i̶f̶ ̶I̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶l̶f̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶t̶t̶y̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶R̶o̶c̶k̶y̶'̶s̶ ̶f̶o̶o̶t̶w̶o̶r̶k̶ ̶I̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶t̶t̶y̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶e̶y̶e̶s̶.̶.̶.̶)̶ ̶ I also love how at the end they always pause all dramatic for a minute and then start screaming 😂
11)It's like? Amazing talent *and* dorky personalities? What more could you ask for? Lol. In regard to your last question though Unfortunately I also won't be able to see them 😔 I live in the smack middle of the US and since they're only going to coasts all of the venues are way too far away to get to. Esp since it's the school year and I can't skip class to drive cross country for a concert much as I'd like to (Holy lord I talked over twice as much?? Why am I like this?) Talk again soon! -ASA
Okay SO I’m very sorry I haven’t had the time to answer everything until now bc I’ve been busy studying for midterms and also I was a lil trashy today since my uni closed bc of freezing rain so I slept in but I’m glad that FINALLY everything got sent like damn tumblr you really don’t want us making friends huh.
Yessssss I love the feeling of seeing someone else also get into the same interests! I’ve been pretty lucky in the sense that I grew up around mostly other asian americans, so kpop was never something that was considered super “weird,” like some people were into it and some weren’t but even if you weren’t you still would’ve been familiar with the more popular groups from when you were younger. Even now, I have a bunch of friends also into kpop (one of them is even my roommate) so tbh I was definitely the one in my friend group late to the party aha. Even my university hosts kpop nights at our bar and I’m pretty sure we have a kpop dance team as well? So tbh if I met someone new there’s probably like a 50% chance they’re into kpop or at least listen casually.
Tbh I used to be a little bit judgy too but moreso because of the obscene amount of money I’ve seen some of my friends spend (no joke one of my friends has spent probably like $500+ on Loona stuff in the past month and a half and another friend bought like 5 copies of the same album for herself like damn idk how do you have that much money).
I also really don’t like it when people bash other people’s music tastes, since I feel like it’s something so personal? Idk but for a long time I used to be really self conscious about sharing my music with other people and even now I feel like that sometimes. For me after getting into BTS I kind of expected to get really into other groups since I was in Korea anyway and I was already listening to a lot of other artists casually. For me it started with NU’EST (fell for them immediately at the same concert that I saw Astro at) and then after was Astro, and then I just started slowly getting into other groups after that (even though I haven’t totally been able to get into Got7′s music they’re SO funny and I just kinda fell for their personalities you know).
I honestly think that they did such a wonderful job with this comeback too! I like seeing their concept evolve and mature but they’re not straying too far from their original cute concept so I feel like it’s a nice middle ground that’s very unique to them, you feel? Also I feel like the visuals especially and the execution of the whole plant concept was just done so well?? Even my friend who’s not in kpop was like “k idk who they are but that was the prettiest music video I’ve ever seen”. What are your favourite eras and songs? For me I’d have to say either the Spring Up or Baby era BUT right now my favourite song is probably Again/Should’ve Held On though tbh my mood and my tastes change like every few weeks loool.
I have no idea why I tend to be most attracted to the dances rather than vocals or rap (maybe has to do with the fact that it’s something I’ve always wished I could do but have always been bad at lmao). But Astro’s stood out to me for the exact same reason! I just thought it was so funny seeing them all break character at the end because you really get to see how hard their choreos are and you get a glimpse of their personalities like damn, how can you not stan these dummies?
That’s really unfortunate that you won’t get to see them either :/ They’re also coming to the closest city to me but it’s on a Tuesday, but I *hypothetically* looked up flight prices and tried to see if I could get away with just missing a day of classes if I flew back in the middle of the night since I have some friends who did the same thing and drove down to Buffalo but I seem to have underestimated the size of New York State LMAO. But apparently my university’s too far from the airport so it’s “not realistic” (and also I’m hella broke from travelling to Taiwan and Japan while I was in Korea but that’s a minor issue ig). I hope we do both get a chance to see them live though! Who knows, after the success of this comeback I’m expecting a lot more cbs and world tours out of them ;)
