Kitchen Territory
Pre-Relationship Gale x Male Tav (Lucius Skorn) Takes place in early Act 1. Lucius Skorn is a middle-aged high elf Ilmatari cleric with a heavy background: an ex-criminal who led a gang known as the Lockjaws before he was betrayed. He spent the past 120+ years as a slave in the Underdark and in prison afterwards, and emerged two years ago as a reformed man with new faith in Ilmater, the Crying God. As a result, he's effectively a cornered animal at all times, unable to trust anyone, because he knows he himself cannot be trusted. Lucius slowly crushes on Gale, and over time, their relationship builds. This is the beginning of Gale getting a little closer to this problematic cleric. Rated T Read on AO3
“Out of my kitchen, wizard.”
The “kitchen” in question is a broken wheelbarrow filled with the various somewhat fresh vegetables the group managed to find around the forest, a couple of pots Lucius found along the way and delicately cleaned and cured, slabs of stone flat enough to be used as counters dragged out around the bonfire, and a frayed scavenged chopping board with the beef tri tip Lucius had a knife to.
It’s the most food the party’s had in a few days, and enough ingredients that Lucius could make a half decent meal for everyone to have. He’s been excited the entire day to get to prepping. There aren’t enough seasonings to make everything the way it should taste, but it’s better than nothing. It’s better than fish heads and apples.
Gale of Waterdeep, however, does not listen to his order, and still saunters in by the wheelbarrow, rolling up his sleeves. “Ah, don’t worry, my friend. I may be a bumbling wizard out on the road and in the wilderness, but cooking is one of my more proficient elements!” He lifts a finger with an amendment and a wink. “Not counting my wizardly studies and prowess, that is.”
Lucius stares at him. His expression seems earnest and confident, and he already waltzes around him as if he knows exactly what he’s going to do. Lucius abandons the tri tip to point his knife at Gale — not necessarily threateningly, and certainly far enough that he can’t reasonably stab him without chasing him — and stops him in his tracks.
“I certainly don’t doubt it, Gale of Waterdeep,” Lucius says with a smile, watching a sheepish look take over the wizard’s face and his hands raise in surrender. “But I’ve already claimed dinner for tonight. I’ve got it, thank you.”
“Oh, come on, what good is cooking without fair company?”
“Mm, peace and quiet. And knowing exactly where all of my ingredients are going.”
Gale dips his head with quiet acceptance. “Then I will follow all your instructions and keep my lips sealed unless absolutely necessary.”
Lucius levels him with a dead look, and when that expression of his does nothing to move Gale, he takes a step forward with the blade in hand. Gale thankfully gets the message then, and begins backing up with his hands raised again.
“Very well! I’ll be over here then!” He scrambles, waving at him with a cheerful tone. “Back at my tent. I will disturb you no more!”
Lucius can’t help but smirk to himself, shaking his head and returning to the food. Genuine or not, he’s not about to let any of these strangers bother him here.
--
But by the next night, Gale is back again, sleeves rolled up, and an easy smile on his face.
“Lucius!” Gale calls as the cleric chops several carrots and moves them into a bowl. “Why, I couldn’t help but notice the pork shoulder we acquired this afternoon. You know, I know a couple of good —”
“Out, wizard.”
Gale’s expression falters for a moment, and Lucius does his best not to look at him more than he has to. He doesn’t stop chopping, but still tenses as he feels Gale walk around him.
“Ah, come on now,” Gale says with a teasing tone to his voice. “I can already see what you’re planning. A pork stew can take a bit to prepare, but believe it or not, I am quite handy with a knife.”
“What a coincidence! So am I!”
“You jest, Lucius, but I am nothing but wholly serious. Stews are actually my specialty — Here, allow me, please. Me and a simple spectral hand spell can help chop all the potatoes and carrots in double time while you start preparing the meat itself. We can cut this process time in half when you’ve got more than one set of hands in the kitchen.” He leans in, hoping to catch Lucius’ gaze. “What do you say?”
Lucius halts the knife, letting the chopped piece of carrot spin and roll into its pile on the chopping board. As he lifts his blank gaze up to Gale, he can see the wizard’s smile wilt by just a fraction. Somewhere inside, Lucius feels a pinch of guilt. He’s not wrong, it would certainly speed up the process, and Gale doesn’t fit the profile of a man who would do harm to their food, but…
“I bet you got away with all sorts of trouble with that smile of yours growing up,” Lucius says, resuming his prep.
Gale’s eyes crinkle with warmth. “Hmm, maybe just a little. Though, only so much a pleading smile can excuse the misbehavior of a small child with a fireball spell.”
“And only so much it can do with a cleric who already knows what he’s doing,” Lucius replies, cocking his head to the side with a scrunched, condescending smile. “Out, wizard.”
“So be it!” Gale bows deeply, backing away. “I will not disturb you further. But if you do change your mind, I’ll be in my tent with one of the books we’ve recovered, ready to help at a moment’s notice.”
He watches him walk away, his gaze lingering on him as he returns to his tent and chats with Wyll beside him. For a moment, Lucius does hesitate, looking back at everything he has to do. Help would be nice.
But he remembers the danger everyone in the camp presents to each other. A githyanki warrior ready to slit their throats at any sign of transformation, a Sharran worshipper, a vampire spawn, a warlock and two walking bombs — and he sobers up. He doesn’t know anyone well enough. It’s not worth the risk.
He doesn’t call on Gale, and the stew finishes two hours later.
--
The next night, Lucius finds the kitchen already taken.
He had to leave Gale at camp for the time being — Shadowheart, Astarion and Lae’zel accompanied him for the day to deal with stray goblins along the road. He should have anticipated that returning that evening would result in Gale pulling the rug out from under him.
Lucius circles around the bonfire kitchen with his inventory slung over his shoulder, watching the man. He’s cozy in his purple little outfit, sleeves rolled up and humming an old bard song. His hands are busy, delicately cutting strips of beef while two sets of spectral hands work on chopping the peppers they’d found recently. He has a smaller campfire on the side where a lidded pot sits in it, undoubtedly cooking something.
Gale turns to put something away and catches sight of Lucius, beaming brightly at him, and Lucius swears he can see the mischief in his eyes. “Ah, Lucius! You’re finally back! Adventure went well, I hope?”
His voice ends up sounding more tired than he expects when he responds. “What are you doing, Gale.”
“Ah, I noticed we had enough to make a stir fry,” Gale says, pointing an index finger in the air as he speaks. The spectral hands wave at Lucius before returning to their work. “Beef, peppers, some of the broccoli Wyll found — needed to cook it soon, else it goes bad under our noses — oh! And I’m making some bread over here on the side! Freshly baked bread. Though I’d definitely prefer to bake some goods in an oven, it’s not impossible to do over a fire so long as the temperature stays — where are you going?”
Lucius stalks over to his tent, tossing his satchel onto the ground outside of it. Deep inside, he knows it’s not a big deal. This is normal and this is fine. There is nothing wrong with Gale taking over to feed the camp. Lucius has gotten good at finding more food to cook meals, so the loss of ingredients he had planned out can be amended. It’s fine, he knows it’s fine.
The anger broiling in his chest and burning hot in his throat and quaking his hands, does not.
“I’m going to bed,” Lucius snaps, taking off his gloves and tossing them. “Have fun, Gale.”
“Oh, come now, Lucius!” Gale calls out, sounding more hurt than teasing this time. “If you wash up, you’re welcome to join me!”
Lucius steps inside his tent and clips the flaps shut, dropping himself onto his bedroll. He’s hungry. There’s nothing he wants more than to eat something warm right now, but he doesn’t know what Gale’s doing. He doesn’t know the process he started. He’s been at it for who knows how long, completely out of Lucius’ sight. He could do anything.
Fine. Let him have his fun. Lucius will slip into reverie and find himself something else to eat later once he wakes. He turns onto his side, back facing the entrance of his tent, and slips his eyes shut, ignoring the aches in his fingers as he keeps his hands clenched into fists.
Later, he wakes to Gale’s gentle voice outside his tent, calling for him. He had a plate of the stir fry and a slice of bread served for him, and a look in his eyes that made something twist in the cleric’s chest.
“There’s leftovers if you’re still hungry,” Gale offers, holding the plate out to him.
Lucius stares at it. Finely cooked, still hot, the scent filling his tent quickly of beef and peppers. His mouth waters.
But his principles still stand firm.
“I’m not hungry.”
Gale blinks. “You’re always hungry! I know how much protein means to you, Lucius, and you were out all day. Come on now —”
“Thank you, Gale,” Lucius interrupts, finality in his voice. “Maybe I’ll have some later. I’m going back to sleep.”
Gale doesn’t say anything, for once at a complete loss of words. There’s that look in his face, those brows raised high and clear hurt in his features as if Lucius had just kicked a puppy. He doesn’t wait for Gale to walk away before closing the flaps shut and rolling back to his bedroll. He sees Gale’s shadow still linger before his tent for a moment longer before finally taking his leave.
Lucius’ stomach growls. He ignores the stinging in his eyes and wills himself to go back to sleep.
--
The next day, Gale insists on going on the road with Lucius. So much so that he practically has no choice but to let him, what with how Wyll and Karlach were starting to look at him. Cursed to be guilt tripped into letting the wizard tag along, but so be it.
The day was dedicated more to exploration. A few magical items, materials salvaged, trading with others — and an unfortunate run-in with some gnolls. Though they did come out worse for wear after that encounter, at least they managed to find an abandoned merchant’s wagon filled with produce. It’s then that Lucius realizes the entirety of Gale’s ulterior motives.
That night, Lucius washes up and takes to the kitchen quickly, unloading their haul and logging each new item into his dedicated inventory journal as swiftly as possible. He shouldn’t have to feel like he has to race for claim over the kitchen, but he needs to make it clear that this is his domain. The inventory logs, the food, the supplies, gold, magical items, potions and herbs, etcetera etcetera — so long as Lucius is at the helm of this camp, he is in charge of what goes where.
He’s thinking of beef stew tonight. Stews are perfect for leftovers, they’re hearty and warm, and they smell nice. It’s also most of what they can make with the ingredients they manage to find beyond rations and breads and miscellaneous fruit.
He anticipates Gale’s arrival to the kitchen, his sleeves rolled up and an air of sheer audacity surrounding him.
Gale doesn’t even manage to say anything before Lucius speaks. “Out, wizard.”
“Another slow cooked meal for tonight?”
“Out.”
“You know, I actually have a bit of an idea for a stew. Last night my bread seemed to be quite the hit around the camp. Even Lae’zel looked to enjoy it. She had seconds.”
“That’s nice. Get out.”
“It’s best fresh, you know.”
“I know how to make bread.”
“I’m not questioning any of your capabilities, my friend. I enjoy your cooking,” Gale says, slowly making his way to Lucius’ side cautiously, as if trying to gain the trust of a feral animal. “Quite a lot, actually. Having a home cooked meal in the middle of a hellish, unfortunate situation has made a lot of troubles feel easier. Even a little homesick.”
Lucius peels a handful of carrots, letting the shavings fall into a battered woven basket for trash. “Mm. Well… I am happy to hear that. Cooking is probably one of the better skills my father had half a mind to teach me, and I do enjoy it.”
“Ah, I feel the same. My mother taught me to cook. She’s all sorts of recipes that I now carry up my sleeves, though sometimes, I still struggle to get some to taste the way she makes them. A fine hobby I enjoy, outside of reading of course.”
“You’re cozying up to me,” Lucius points out, elbowing Gale away. “Don’t try your charms. I said out.”
But Gale doesn’t move this time. Instead, he folds his arms and stands up straight, lifting his chin in overconfident defiance. “No.”
Lucius pauses, turning his head now to look at him. “No?”
“Nope.”
“Gale, get out.”
“I will not.”
Lucius sets the carrot down with an exhausted sigh, facing him completely. “Har har. You know, not the smartest idea to annoy someone holding a knife.”
“I’ve many reasons to believe that you are not so inclined to use that knife on me, Ilmatari.” Gale says easily, unwavering.
“You don’t know me. You barely know me.”
“Then it’s a gamble I’m more than willing to wager on.”
Lucius scoffs, unable to help the amused smile on his face. “Confident now, are we? What makes you so certain I wouldn’t?”
“Well for one, you’d contaminate your kitchen.”
Lucius tilts his head, conceding on that. “True.”
“Secondly, you benefit from having a wizard in your party.”
“I have scrolls. I don’t need a wizard, I’ve got a bunch of them in my pocket.”
“Ah, but I didn’t say need, I did say benefit, of which, you cannot argue against,” Gale says, pointing a finger at him as he speaks. “You may not need a wizard, per se, but my skills do undoubtedly serve you well in a pinch.”
“Alright, fine. You do make yourself useful when you feel like it.”
“Thirdly, ten years bad luck for killing a wizard.”
“You just made that up.”
“Is that a chance you want to take?”
“Don’t tempt me, ten years is nothing for an elf.”
“Ooh, but the time passes all the same. Blink of the eye in the grand scheme of things, but in the moment, a year is still a year.” Gale smiles politely at Lucius, inclining his head. “Need I go on?”
“Sure,” Lucius takes to leaning his weight on his hand against the stone counter. “Can’t say I’m thoroughly convinced.”
Gale huffs with amusement, and holds up four fingers and pinches his pinky. “Fourthly, you are a cleric of Ilmater. To stab me over coming into the kitchen would go against your religious cores.”
“Hmmm…” Lucius rubs his chin in faux thought. “Maybe… But one could argue that I am alleviating suffering in doing so. My suffering, that is. As I said, you’re bothering me.”
“Oof, you’d twist your principles to justify stabbing one of your campmates?”
“I didn’t twist anything. Ilmatari bear burdens and alleviate suffering. I’m following the dogma.”
“But aren’t you supposed to be the one on the rack? Stabbing me to alleviate yourself, why, I would argue that actually goes against your dogma.”
“Are you arguing with me over my own practice? Who’s the cleric here?”
Gale grins widely at him, cheeky and playful. “And fifth, you would have stabbed me by now.”
Lucius suddenly finds himself laughing at that, shaking his head. “Right, sure, fine. You must think you’re adorable.”
“I’ve said no such thing, but if you find such an adjective fitting, I am not against receiving it as an apt descriptor.”
“Man, shut up,” Lucius laughs, turning back to his chopping board. “I prefer to cook alone, thank you. Please be so kind as to dismiss yourself.”
“Evidently, you also prefer not to eat anyone else’s cooking.”
Well, there it is. “I wasn’t hungry.”
“Say what you will, but I am led to believe your hesitance there is an extension of the same bump in the road we have here.” He holds his hands up, turning them back and forth. “Allow me to ease your conscience. I pride myself in my cleanliness, and I am very delicate in the matters of making food. I wash up frequently, I let nothing cross contaminate, and I always make sure that the ingredients I use aren’t spoiled. I promise you, I’m not a burden within the kitchen to have to watch out for.”
Lucius pauses, staring down at the chopping board. There’s something gnawing in his chest, something akin to guilt, something close to shame. The wizard is not an unkind man; he has been nothing but patient and delightful company, and Lucius would almost daresay that Gale simply wouldn’t do anything to hurt anyone.
But that’s the trap. He was close to someone once. Three hundred years of a bond forged in fire and gallons of blood, and never once did he suspect that he’d turn against him, that he would wake up one day to the promise of fortune, only to be betrayed and dragged into the Underdark in chains —
Lucius braces his hands against the board, shuts his eyes. He has to say something. Gale at least deserves to be acknowledged.
“I appreciate that, sincerely,” Lucius says, exhaling a long breath before returning his full attention to the wizard, now softer than he was before. “But that’s not my problem. I don’t know how exactly to explain my problem to you. I just wish you’d listen to me and leave me alone. I have my roles to fulfill in this camp. Allow me to do them in peace.”
Gale purses his lips, his eyes searching Lucius. It makes him tense suddenly. The wizard is intelligent and sharp, and whatever it is he’s looking for in Lucius, he’s suddenly terrified that he could find it easily.
“You take on a lot of roles, Lucius,” Gale lands on saying, and Lucius feels a touch of relief. “Perhaps it’s because of your Ilmatari teachings, or perhaps for another reason. You put in a lot of work, and the whole camp certainly appreciates it, but… you can’t just keep doing it all by yourself. You have people here! Half a dozen of us are quite the company — sure, you’ve a lot of roles, but I reckon you should delegate some tasks to the rest of us. A waste of a many pair of hands that can get to work.”
Lucius’ face scrunches and his lips flatten in a strained smile. “Okay. Go like, I don’t know, build me a new wheelbarrow or something.”
“Cooking is typically a communal activity, you know,” Gale insists, reaching out to pick up a potato. “Many many cultures center around families gathering to create something delicious. Generations of parents holding onto dear recipes and passing them to their children, holidays of gatherings to all partake in a collaborative feast — and on smaller scales, even the most trite of city workplaces participate in gallant dinner parties or simple potlucks. Breaking bread together is a sure way to strengthen a bond, but cooking?” Gale points the potato at Lucius. “That is where the magic happens.”
When Lucius was young, dinners were silent. In all his short childhood, he could scarcely recall the face of his mother, or if there ever was the whisper of a memory of her to begin with. Always his father before a stovetop, always just him and occasionally, Lucius atop a stool to watch him prepare. There was never speak of aunts or uncles or cousins or anyone else who’d gather and feast — at best, Lucius was dragged off to his father’s meets with a small thieves’ guild and their mead-filled revelry. Chicken and bread, but never much speak of a kitchen; only the tinged smell of liquor and sweat in the bustling crowd where a child should never be.
And sometimes, when Lucius was older, he’d watch the Lockjaws chatter and eat in their mess hall. Safely. A balcony where he’d lean on the railings and simply observe his assassins from above. The leader of a cutthroat gang of criminals who ruled through violence and fear simply asks for trouble to share food among his own men — little did he know that his dearest advisor he did share drinks with would be who he should have feared most.
Now, Lucius can only stare at that stupid potato in Gale’s hand. In the Temple, he keeps to himself with his own meal. In prison, he was lucky to have any space to himself to eat. As a slave, he was lucky to eat at all. Here, with the tadpoles and this group of strangers, he’s lucky to have any control at all.
His gaze flicks to Gale, and when he does, Gale’s eyes crinkle with warmth in a small, reassuring smile. The firelight catches onto the umber color of his eyes with a sparkle, his long lashes framing them delicately, and the crow’s feet deepen with his squint. A powerful, dangerous wizard, this man is. Lucius has witnessed enough of his spells and the expertise and practice from which they lurch from those fingertips. He hunches and carries himself loosely at rest and speaks like an eccentric librarian, but on the field, he sees him straighten up, his expression harden, sees him utter the incantations of destruction and leave nothing in his wake. He’s capable of untold chaos, hiding behind this mask of gentle kindness, and yet…
And yet… Lucius wants to believe him.
“I don’t know you,” Lucius says, upset that his voice doesn’t carry the venom he wants it to. “How am I supposed to know you’re not gonna fuck around with this stuff here? What reason do I have to believe that you won’t try to leverage this?”
Gale’s brows raise at that. “Are you — Are you asking me if I would poison our food?”
“Look, it’s not that I don’t trust you, but I just…” he taps the pommel of his knife on the chopping board in quick succession, as if doing so would help summon the words to him. “It’s a risk you’re asking me to take, and one I don’t feel very willing to.”
“So in short, you don’t trust me.”
“Well —”
Gale raises a hand. “A protest, if I may.”
Lucius sets his knife down and folds his arms, carefully keeping his expression calm. “Protest.”
“As a disclaimer, I will say, I most absolutely understand why you feel such a way, and in no way do I mean to undermine your worries and fears,” Gale says with a dip of his head. “That said, I don’t believe you’re being very fair with this conception.”
“I’m not being fair?”
“No. You aren’t the only one here who has to worry about what the other is doing, or what danger the other campmates may pose. Already we’ve woken several times to someone trying to hurt or kill each other for one reason or another, and some people here bear the resume of folks very capable of wanton murder.” He tosses the potato into his other hand, rolling it around in his palm idly. “None of us know you, either. So, forgive me if I find it hypocritical that you would deny kitchen access to anyone else, but expect us to trust the food you are giving us when you can’t do the same.”
A flare of anger fires up in Lucius, and he feels the flames lick at his throat. “Okay, you know what, that’s diff—”
“I don’t have any more reason to trust you either, Lucius,” Gale continues. “Nothing more than the fact we all share the same burden of a little wormy tenant cozied up in our skulls, and honestly, isn’t that enough? We’re all already a group of unlikely allies bonded by a shared infection. Why try to make things more tense?”
Lucius tries to find a way to argue. Anything at all to tear down these points that isn’t just him putting his foot down and repeating himself. He wants to argue that he is trustworthy, because what he’s done so far has proven himself already, but it’s a flimsy argument, and deep down he knows he’s capable of bringing ruin to these people as well. He knows what herbs and solutions to make. He knows how to make tasteless poisons strong enough to bring down a peryton in seconds. Over the course of his long life, he’s found all sorts of ways a man can die. He’s not innocent. The party may have his suspicions of him, but in no way could they possibly guess the extent of which his atrocities go.
This conversation makes him itchy. The urge to toss everything onto the floor and shove the wheelbarrow to spill all of the produce everywhere rises. He wants to shove his stupid pots and pans into Gale’s arms and tell him to do whatever he wants and to snap the cutting board in half and forget about the whole thing. He wants to never cook again and let everyone do whatever the fuck it is they want to do if he’s being so unreasonable. Fuck this, fuck it all, fuck this guy and these tadpoles and these stupid, unfulfilling, half-seasoned, battered meals he keeps trying to make. Go have your community, then. Fuck you, fuck you —
He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, counting to ten, and exhales slowly. He can feel himself shaking, and he knows if he loses his cool here, he only confirms that no one can trust him, truly. He’ll only further dig himself into an unnecessary pit and burn. Another deep breath. Be cool, Lucius. Be reasonable. Be cool.
“Why do you even want to do this so badly?” Lucius finds himself asking, finally opening his eyes to meet him again.
“Because I like it,” Gale replies easily. “I like cooking. And… Well, it’s not often I get to cook for many people. I’ll admit, I am selfishly motivated. I’ve been alone for the better part of a year in my tower for… various reasons, so I only ever got to cook for myself. Now, in the midst of all of this bloodshed and muck, there’s the chance to do something rather nice and enjoy a hot meal with people of all sorts of walks of life, all sorts of stories and interesting experiences, and… well, how could I possibly pass up an opportunity like that?”
Lucius thinks of the night before. The warm smile on his face, his spectral hands and a bard’s tune in his hums, the smell of the food and the kindness of which he offered it to Lucius despite how he stormed off into his tent… Ah, yes, this gnawing feeling in his chest, it is guilt. A splash of cold water that extinguishes the flames of anger and leaves him freezing.
Gale hands him the potato as though it were an offering. The extension of an olive branch, sans the olive branch, and perhaps the fervent eagerness and reverence Gale exudes would be a little less comical were it not for it being a simple potato.
Lucius accepts it nevertheless, turning it around in his hand. “... I’m not very good company in the kitchen.”
“Then allow me to be so for the both of us.” Gale gestures to the chopping board and gives a small bow, bidding his permission to join. Lucius steps aside, and Gale takes to the neglected carrots. “I wanted to say, you’ll actually go faster if you peel in the direction away from your body than towards it. Less risk of cutting yourself as well.”
Something warm blooms within Lucius. Something that twists, something that dares feel akin to that of fondness. He scoffs at Gale, taking to his new task of peeling the potatoes. “Is that your true ulterior motive? You just want to correct me on how I’ve been doing things wrong?”
“Maybe just a touch,” Gale teases. “But what’s a collaborative experience without sharing tips, tricks and mistakes?”
The night carries on smoothly, and between the two of them and a spectral hand, dinner is expedited. Gale’s ramblings of all sorts of recipes and stories, talks of his mother and the antics he unwittingly put her through, disastrous accidents in his time at the Blackstaff Academy, and the time he’d summoned a tressym that all but adopted him after the fact fills the air, and Lucius finds comfort in hearing him speak. Enough so that Lucius carefully regaled tales of his own travels, of the Dalelands and of Evereska, and by the time all was finished, Lucius felt like he was glowing, riddled with happy energy and a jitter in his fingertips and nerves. Gale had the idea to bake everyone a round piece of bread, hollow it out, and serve the stew in there, which happened to be a delightful hit.
He’s had this meal before. He’s made this stew before. Yet, on this night, it tastes twice as good, and he can’t help but return the smile Gale gives him as they share their meal.
From then on, they shared the kitchen where they could and brainstormed meal ideas as they collected ingredients on the road. From then on, Lucius found comfort in the company.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗
Oh wow, ok. So my faves in no particular order would have to be:
now you know an Everlark drabble of a conversation I imagine Katniss and Peeta having as Katniss begins to process she wants to have children, based on a beautiful Anaïs Mitchell song of the same name.
untitled everlark family one shot This one is dear to me because of the inspiration I got to write it. It focuses on Katniss and Peeta navigating first conversations about the games with their son (and of course their daughter wants to be part of the discussion, too)
untitled drabble Catching Fire AU Totally written because there is a specific image I couldn't get out of my head. I want to write more from this universe because it's Everlark fun.
Sing You Back Home which has one chapter of three up so far, although all the chapters are written, I'm working on editing the last two. I've always hated the argument that Katniss "ended up" with Peeta because she had no one else left. So in this fic, Prim is alive, she and Mrs. Everdeen go back to 12 with Katniss, Gale goes back to Twelve, and Finnick is alive (though he's not seen, it's just one less trauma for Katniss). So yes, she's still traumatized, but she has family and friends nearby. And Peeta decides to move to Four instead of going back to Twelve after his treatment in the Capitol. It's a lot of pining and angst because our girl still wants the boy with the bread by her side (because as we know, this would have happened anyway, because she loves Peeta).
Dare You to Move This one is for the Office/Jam. It's still a WIP and I feel bad I haven't updated it in a while, but I'm pretty proud of what I've written so far. It's a soulmate AU, but Pam and Roy are the soulmates, not Pam and Jim (dun dun duuuuun).
Thanks for the ask, and I will be passing this on! ❤

20 questions for fic writers
tagged by @tessaservopoulos, thank you! ☺️
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
40, though 2 of those are graphics for events/challenges.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
579,021!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
My AO3/main writing fandoms are Yellowjackets, The 100, Once Upon a Time, and Supergirl. I've been writing since I was 12 though, so I've also written for CSI, Criminal Minds, Buffy, Smallville, Glee, Lost, and Friends.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
1) let our mercy be the gifts we lay - swan queen 2) Deliver Me - swan queen 3) sharing is caring (it can be fun) - swan queen 4) let me lend a helping hand - supercat 5) it takes two to tango, and other dance cliches - swan queen
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! I did my early fanfic writing on forums and livejournal, where the culture was to respond to each comment. It's actually how i made most of my fandom friends pre-tumblr, just getting into long conversations in fanfic comment threads that would veer wildly off-topic. I really miss that, and unfortunately I do feel like the culture has shifted to the perception that replying to comments is more to ~boost your stats on AO3 (which could just be me being a worry-wort, but it makes me hesitant sometimes!).
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I am so not an angst writer, but I wrote one truly angsty fic for the doctor mechanic angst day, called hands of time where one of the pairing dies at the end. I'm glad I tried it, and I was actually pretty proud of the writing overall, but I'm certain now that I'm a fluff girl, through and through!
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
With the exception of the aforementioned angst, all my endings are happy! I can't do it any other way. Any of the established relationship fics are probably the happiest (because any first time fics I usually give a hopeful but not perfect ending, to show that they WILL be happy but it'll take a bit of work which feels the most realistic to me), but it takes two to tango, and other dance cliches is probably truly the happiest ending because it's the fluffiest fic to begin with.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I am very fortunate, I do not.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Pretty exclusively, yes 🤭 I like to write smut with feelings, where the smut is all about characters connecting and working through their issues. I love smut, but it HAS to have depth or I don't care.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I have written exactly one crossover for a glee landcomm challenge, and it was a glee/community crossover. It's the first time I wrote a humor fic, too!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I think a lot of my swan queen fics have been reposted on those Russian (iirc) sites back in the swan queen heyday. But I don't think any have ever been stolen, stolen.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but I did just get podficced for the first time a few days ago, on let me lend a helping hand! I can't wait to listen to it ☺️
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Possibly as part of a landcomm challenge, but if so I don't remember the specifics? Otherwise no. I'm notoriously a TERRIBLE collaborator, I'm too much of control freak to co-write 😅
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
This is such an incredibly difficult question. Any pairing I've written for holds such a special place in my heart, and inspired me deeply enough to write. The only pairing that's a contender for this title that I haven't written for is Xena/Gabrielle (and that's in part because they're too canon for me to feel the drive for, although I did at one point start a post-FIN fix-it fic, but didn't get far).
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I started a post-Scream 5 Sidney/Gale fic that I was excited about, but lost steam on. I'd like to finish that one day, but I doubt I will. I have a lot of Misty/Nat ideas in the mix that I want to write, though I do have hope I'll write those once I make it through the winter blues.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I like to think dialogue is my strong suit, in part because I write to try and get a good feel for a character and their voice. But I think I get the most compliments on movement/how I describe the physical behavior of characters which always surprises me since that doesn't feel like my strength!
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Motivation feels very difficult for me, so I write in weird jags and it's unpredictable (which is so frustrating to me!!). But actual content-wise, I think my biggest weakness is action, especially fighting or scenes without much/any dialogue. They just never feel organic to me, no matter how much emotion/reflection I try to put in there.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Use it sparingly, and only when it won't detract for those who can't read it or it is translated as part of the dialogue. I think it's most meaningful when the translation is part of the story, otherwise you're taken out of the scene to check notes for a translation (if you're like me). Single words, short phrases, or pet names rarely detract in my opinion, even if it's not translated in the fic since you can usually glean the meaning from context.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Friends, Monica/Chandler. It's still floating out there and it's truly terrible 🫣
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
My most recent fic, dust off those rusty strings, is my overall favorite. It's the longest work I've ever written, and I think it's the best, as well. I put a lot of effort into foreshadowing and parallels within the story, and I felt like I grew over the course of writing it. It was also a perseverance project for me, because I really thought I was going to give up after the Yellowjackets finale aired 💔
Tagging: @alinaandalion, @tabithatwo, @toocabaret, @woodenpicador, @lesbiantahani, @laurabenanti, @shinyalice, @tunemyart, @strangesmallbard, and @damelola (and of course, anyone else who would like to!).

twenty questions for writers
thanks sm @swifty-fox for the tag!! i love things like this.
tagging @magneticghouls and @onyxsboxes and literally anyone who fancies it
how many works do you have on ao3?
33!
what's your total ao3 word count?
155,902
what fandoms do you write for?
whatever tf the current fixation is. i've written for rooster teeth, our flag means death, buzzfeed unsolved, masters of the air, the eternals, and challengers! currently got a slow horses fic in the works :))
top five fics by kudos
i like the way your words taste - a fluffy druig/makkari oneshot with 860
wild things - a western gale cleven/john egan au with 849
the art of consumption - a smutty art/patrick fic with 780
make you feel alive - another gale cleven/john egan oneshot with 633
hitchhikers - a serial killer ryan begara/shane madej au with 485 (the first multichapter fic i wrote that got me an audience it was wild)
do you respond to comments?
ofc! i try and respond to every single one with at least a thank you
what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
a fic called stay with me, which ended in MCD.
what is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
i end most of my fics happily!
i think the happiest is probably wild things. everything works out for the better in that one
do you get hate on fics?
i dont! very grateful that everyones always so nice, makes me feel like the are you winning son meme
do you write smut?
i used to never write smut but something this year just had me writing so much of it and whilst it feels mostly awkward to write, people seem to like it!
craziest crossover?
i've never written any kind of crossover, and i don't like to read them either. i guess MOTA in the western genre is the closest i'll come.
have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i know of!
have you ever had a fic translated?
nope!
have you ever co-written a fic before?
also nope!
all time favorite ship?
ive been in fandoms since i was like 12, there's no way i can pick an all time favourite. it literally just depends on what im into at the time.
i really like inej/kaz from six of crows. i think scully/mulder is great. hannibal/will. ellie/dina. willem/jude.
off the top of my head i would say i'm most fond of the tenth doctor/rose. that one gets me.
what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
i'm really starting to doubt my ability to finish seven miles out of freedom town. im gonna try my best but the hyperfixation has moved on and it feels more like a chore than something im enjoying rn. im really sorry to anyone that disappoints, it disappoints me too, cos wild things was genuinely some of the most fun i've ever had writing fic and interacting with a community. i'll try and get it finished, it might just take me a while.
what are your writing strengths?
i think im pretty good at dialogue, making it sound like something a real person would say.
i think im fairly decent at dramatic writing, at making things sound flowery and poetic and theatric. thats my favourite way to write.
dont think im too bad at characterisation most of the time.
what are your writing weaknesses?
i suck at worldbuilding. i think its boring and i dont care for it, i just want to write about the characters. planning bores me. i just write things and go back and fix inconsistencies later.
wild things is the most effort i've ever put into a world. i was googling locations like a mofo to make things accurate.
thoughts on dialogue in another language?
i think its great! one of my favourite fics has a character that speaks french and he uses it to tease other characters who don't know what he's saying. its done so beautifully.
first fandom you wrote in?
if we're talking actual first fandom it was probably one direction or creepy pasta when i was like 13.
the first fandom i ever wrote for seriously was buzzfeed unsolved in 2018.
favorite fic you've written?
im very proud of washed clean, an angsty oneshot about gale/john. i really like the writing in that one.
i dont think i can pick a favourite, i have like three. hitchhikers and the axeman of new orleans were my starting points and really showed me the joy of writing fic that other people were going to read. i had a lot of fun writing those and i love me some dark themes.
wild things consumed my every thought for like, the 11 days i was writing it. ive never been so obsessed with one of my own fics before, it still blows me away how well it was recieved and i met some great people through it so im eternally grateful for that.
yeehaw, y'all.

For the ask game: 15, 23, 38, and... the way 7's worded makes it feel like homework so I'll add a fully optional 7 as well
For this game here!
15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
I think Frustrations of the Hunt is one of my most visually impressive stories and would work best in film. Most of my writing involves a lot of internal thought that would be difficult to put into a different medium aslfkj
23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?
Bro I do not have time to do that asldfj. If I let myself think like that, I will never get anything done so I don't even wanna entertain the thought. (probably my Steven and Jasper punch buddies story though. Thanks SUF for ruining something fun.)
38. Talk about a review that made your day
OH! Two big ones stand out. One was for A Bard Walks in and Hugs the Bartender, which is a story about Diluc panicking about forgetting things about his deceased father. I got one comment that made writing worthwhile talking about their own grief and how forgetting the little things about people is terrifying and how much they appreciated being seen like that
The other was for a Childe fic that briefly mentioned past teenage sexual abuse and how Childe is furious about allowing that to happen to him and I had a guy (who has since deleted the comment) say how much they appreciate seeing the rage. Which, yk. Evoking emotion is the whole reason I write so I'm pretty thrilled.
aaand 7: Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you've written and explain why you're proud of it:
mmm tossup between my original story about Leon the Hare, just one standout line:
Coffee in hand and laden with the horrifying reminder of the passage of time, Leon sat down at his tiny table for his favorite activity: Fretting.
Which I think by itself sums up his character!
The other is from Frustrations of the Hunt again: They continued like that for three days and three nights. Lan broke every bone in their body and howled until iridescent blood sprayed from their throat and Yaoshi healed every wound while begging and pleading for them to just stop. The gale of Lan’s wheels leveled the forest and shredded the plants until sap ran like water, pooling in the crook of their hips and soaking their green prison, but it didn’t matter. The trees regrew as fast as they could destroy.
I think it's a good show of violence and desperation and I'm really proud of the visual of Lan screaming so hard and loud that they literally bled

Hellllloooo!!! Your work is really goood! May I request a little headcanon? I'm an My Hero Academia fan and this concept kind of humored me, I don't know if I should consider this an AU but how would the brothers react to an MC who is a hero in training student with a flashy quirk! You can choose what quirk she gets and feel free to choose any gender, Thank You!
Hey anon! I’m fine with AUs so don’t worry. I’m a major BNHA fan myself, having been a fan for around three years. This kind of excited me because I got to write about the two fandoms I really like together. I’m just gonna do GN! Sorry if the explaination to the quirk is a bit long;;
Retagging because it removed the tags for me**
| MHA!AU | Brothers react to a flashy quirk GN!MC
The quirk is one I’m using for my OC which is a pretty flashy one I would say!! I hope you don’t mind I reference my own OC’s quirk. But it’s :
Gale attraction
A subdivision of air manipulation. The user can suck air towards them, break it apart, send it forwards, all in small or large consistencies, but they have to have something as the center of gravitation, that makes the air get suck towards it, or apart from it. My OC uses a long sword that can curl and compact, and straighten out to become long, so that’s why I consider this quirk flashy, since he slams a large sword at people’s directions and suddenly sends them flying. The MC in here does the same. Ex of how it works : The user uses slams their sword forward facing the opponent, and sucks in the air around them by using the sword as the center of gravitation, and lets it out in one go forward, causing a large blast. It all happens in the span of a few seconds, so it’s hard to see.
Lucifer
Lucifer knew that you had a pretty powerful quirk since you attended UA, you were a third year in class A, according to his documents when he was picking a student. However he couldn’t tell what exactly was your quirk because Diavolo just said to pick your paper and Lucifer couldn’t be bothered anymore.
When you arrived in the devildom you were immediately confused. You thought it was a villain’s quirk, since you were just in a battle, and you began to use your quirk.
Why did the villain’s partner suddenly your their quirk? Did they want to run now? Where are the other heroes who were with you, or did they have other illusions?
You didn’t know who these people were in front of you, but you assumed it was an illusion so you kind of attacked Lucifer with your quirk.
The strong wind expelled out your blade at the speed of light as you swung in his direction. Lucifer managed to transform into his form and stop your quirk from doing damage to him with his wings, but it was just a barely able to.
He didn’t have much time to think, but he thought that you were going to be difficult, and your quirk was actually strong enough to cause him to be pushed back a few centimetres. Wow.
He tried not to be impressed with you, because you cannot act like that in devildom. You were lectured like crazy and Diavolo laughed it all off.
After a few hours Lucifer gave you a simple compliment of “You have a strong quirk, don’t disappoint.” And you were actually feeling pretty proud from that.
Lucifer actually acknowledged you, and told you that he did. He told you that you were strong, even thought he looked like he was going to murder you all day and throughout the meeting.
Mammon
Even though Mammon was your guide, he had no clue you were a quirk user. When he finally hears you say you wish to train your quirk he’s just like?? You have one?
After assuring him you do, he asks to see it. You say your quirk isn’t a toy you can fool around with, and can cause some serious damage.
He thinks about it during the night and finds a way to make money off of it. You want to train... and he can place bets.. he can register you in a tournament where demons fight each other using their power or weapons if that’s their style... and well you could well lose and he takes the money from betting on the demons!!
Mammon explained to you his idea, but left out which side he was betting on. He had zero faith in you since he didn’t know you attended UA, and didn’t know how strong your quirk actually was.
You happily agreed since you figured you could go all out against a demon, since they are tough.
When the first round came, the majority of people bet in the demon’s favor, rather than your’s. You couldn’t care less since you really wanted a good workout.
As soon as the “one” came out of the referee’s mouth, you pulled out your sword and twirled it straight in a matter of seconds, and immediately sent a blast towards the demon’s direction.
The demon formed an “X” shape with his hands and dug his heels into the ground thinking you couldn’t blast him too far if you were just hitting the ground. Maybe your quirk was making the ground shake or something weak.
But what he didn’t see was the giant gust approaching him till it was too late. His eyes were glued shut from the strong blast affect and he was sent flying. He was far out of the rings, and looked like he was bleeding.
Whoops-you-did-not-think-a-demon-would-injure-so-easily
You tried to play it off cool but it was obvious you were frantically worrying about the demon.
At that moment, Mammon was convince to always bet on you. He immediately yelled allowed “That’s my human!” despite not even betting on you at first.
He is overly proud especially when you win since no one can tell what exactly your quirk was, you working way too fast.
He’s always clinging to you now and if someone harasses him he will be like “My human can kick your ass!! Fight me (them) if you want to taste dirt.”
Leviathan
Oh my goodness oh my goodness oh my goodness is this happening.
Levi is internally freaking out when he firsts meets you because you’re a hero in training!! Heroes are literally so cool and you’re a person not only with a quirk but attending THE U.A. high.
He wants to immediately know your quirk and how it works so he can replicate any scenes and do cosplay stuff, or say he knew a pro hero before they were famous and people made merch of them.
As soon as you two were alone, curtesy of Mammon not wanting to pay his debt back, Levi told you to come with him.
He took you to his room and nervously asked you to show him your quirk, he was super excited and was nervous at the same time and tried not to show either of the emotions.
You happily agreed because you love showing your quirk to friends, family, and fans.
You proceeded to take off your large jacket, and he saw a sword on your belt’s side. He immediately thought it would be powerful because you had a weapon.
You tell him to enjoy and watch the show. You twist your blade and it goes from curly to a long straight and thin blade. He’s sort of in awe at what a cool concept it was for a weapon to hide and yet easily open.
The fun had only begun, you concentrated, closing your eyes, with the quiet surrounding you, you proceed to swing your blade forward, aimed towards one of his less filled up walls, and blast an air strike.
You open it up to see you damaged and broke the wall, and the furniture in the next room over from the amount of air you gathered and blasted. But Levi didn’t care about his broken room, he was gushing at how cool you were.
You run a hand through your hair and give him a smile, telling him that it’s your job. “A hero should always go all out for their fans.”
Levi now wants merchandise of you asap and will be your first fan in the club and will become the president of it because of how epic that was, and if that was just you showing him your quirk just how awesome would you be in an actual fight?
Needless to say Levi clung to you for your entire trip in devildom.
Satan
Satan had read about how humanity has slowly gained quirks, or strong powers. They were all unique, with some common ones, and they had all sorts of uses. Sometimes the human could even look non human or become a different state of matter.
He was a little bit interested in seeing your quirk, he wasn’t going to lie. During the council meeting they were told that you are a UA student, but never mentioned your quirk, so he could only think of what it could be in his head.
When you finally came, he tried to be discreet about watching you from afar to see if you would use your quirk.
You didn’t want to just randomly cause havoc, so you didn’t use your quirk at all for the first few days. If people asked you what it was you’d just reply with “Something flashy, I guess?”
What was that supposed to mean? Even detective Satan couldn’t figure it out considering the vast quantities of quirks there are in the world.
Finally, he approached you after school his curiosity getting the better of him. He asked you to show him your quirk, and he was pretty polite. He told you he was interested in how human bodies work these days after reading so much about quirks.
You obliged, but tell him you’ll have to go to your room to do it since you left your sword there, not wanting to destroy school property.
This led Satan to believe your quirk is sword based, and you can use the weapon to slice through anything. He felt pretty proud with that conclusion.
Boy was he wrong, standing in the aftermath of what you just did. You both went into your room and there, you picked up your sword and straightened it out, aiming at a wall, you slammed it down, bursting the air forward and broke the wall with it.
You were mentally cursing as you casually fixed your sword’s state, and brushed off your shirt, as if there were dust on it. You didn’t mean to break the wall, but it just happened. What on earth did you expect?
Satan was stunned, these walls were pretty sturdy, so he thought. Not only that, but his hypothesis was completely wrong. Your quirk wasn’t the sword, was it?
Satan’s ultimate reaction to it was that he’s curious to know what exactly your quirk is, and how it works.
He questions you all the night about how it affects your body, like do you have to concentrate energy to your fingertips to control what is your center of gravitation? Could you use yourself as a center of gravitation? Would it hurt if you did? Where did you get that sword? Could you-
The questions kept coming at you that the two of you spoke until dinner. No one could find you and Satan in any other rooms, so Lucifer checked your’s. He immediately noted you and Satan are together but WHY is there a broken wall.
Oh you forgot about that.
Not to worry, Satan takes the blame. He says his anger got the best of him and that you were calming him down. You have a friend in Satan.
Lucifer could tell it was you since you had a very long sword in your hands, and that it probably had something to do with your quirk, but let it slide since Satan insisted of taking the blame.
Asmodeous
Asmo had finally convinced you to come to a club with him. In insisted he would take care of you if you couldn’t take care of yourself, bugged you for days.
He really wanted to boost his popularity being with the first quirk user in devildom, while bragging about your achievements, it’s his way of saying he is fond of you.
After going to the club, you and Asmo seperate a bit because he got dragged off by succubi, so you ended staying in the corner.
Of course you can’t do that in a club, someone will always approach you. A tall demon tried to get you to dance with them. No matter how many times you rejected, they kept going.
They were probably thinking they could intimidate you into dancing at least and then try something, but you were not a pushover. Asmo finally spots you and is worried and tries to rush over through the dancing crowd.
After the demon tries to grab your wrist you reached behind your belt and pulled out a small curly sword.
The demon was laughing since he thought you were going to attack him with a small sword. That wouldn’t even leave a minor injury. Instead, you step to the side so he’s not directly in front of you, and slam the sword to the side.
As it straightened, you collected air towards it and slided it up then down in it’s direction. You released the air collected as you slammed and a strong gust of wind exploded.
Even the demon was sent flying, crashing into a now-damaged pillar. Sighing, you twisted your sword into it’s curly state again, and put it away.
Asmo was rushing to you in awe. You just defeated a tall and scary demon by yourself!! He knew you had a strong quirk, but not enough to take down a giant demon.
When he finally made it, he took your hands in his and asked the basic questions, like “What’s your quirk? How did you do that? Can I post a selfie of us on devilgram while you use your quirk right now?” And it progressively got to
“Are you wrists okay? Are they still beautiful? Do you want me to apply lotion?”
The entire club was also in awe and staring, but you couldn’t really tell over how dramatic Asmo was being. It was an everyday occurrence to swing your blade at someone, but maybe the demons don’t have epic fights like you thought.
Needless to say Asmo is impressed and wants to brag about you and your amazing quirk to the world and how you two are closer than best friends.
Beelzebub
“Ah, Your name was Beel, right? Would you minded if I trained with you?”
You were the one to approach him first. You really wanted to keep up your training schedule while in the devildom, and hoped that the gym he went was similar to humans, or at least had a practice space.
He was ecstatic to have a training buddy, so of course you can come. You asked him if the gym had a room with training dummies or something similar, and he said there’s a free practice room with dummies you can break if you want.
You were super excited to use the dummies especially if you can break them because you might have to stop after two or three blasts if you couldn’t break them.
While at the gym you two did regular things at first, benchpress, whatever fit people do. Then you came into the training room.
You were tiny compared to Beel so he didn’t think you could do that much damage. But oh buddy. He was wrong.
You brought out your sword and twisted it straight, and stood at a very far distance. Beel was confused to why, but watched regardless.
As you swung your sword down, you collected air and then released it forward, splitting the air into two different sides for a double blast, a new technique to dispel air you’ve gathered you’ve been working on.
Beel could only see it for a matter of seconds as the wind flew past him in milliseconds, before it reached the training dummies in around five to six seconds total.
He was amazed because the training dummies were broken. The one on the left and right, which you were aiming for.
You didn’t expect them to break easily, so you turn to Beel as if saying what now with your eyes. He’s immediately patting your head and telling you that you’re amazing, and keep going.
Such a tiny person can have so much power because of their training;; such amazement and respect for you.
Afterwards he treats you to a meal and you take become close friends and gym buddies, encouraging each other not to give up on your workouts or training.
Belphegor
Belphie had never once seen your quirk, even if he tried to kill you once. You didn’t have your weapon on you at that time and couldn’t do anything.
He also didn’t attend classes often, being asleep at home. But today was a rare day he attended, and he stuck to you like glue, claiming he needed to spend time with you since his brothers hog you.
It was all going well until a demon you knew approached you. He wanted a rematch for last time and claimed he was stronger now, after two months.
Belphie was confused and you explained that while you were at school here, you’ve been challenging the top demon delinquents to get the title of strongest.
He’s just like “wowww. you really don’t have a sense of danger, do you?” The answer is you don’t. You were fairly confident in your abilities.
He stops leaning and hugging you to lean against the wall as he watches the two of you fight. If anything happens to you, he will kill the demon.
He figures it’s gonna be long and drawn out since you’re just a small human, but was he wrong.
Before the demon could move, it was over in seconds. You swung your blade down and as it expanded, you collected the air around and then sliced it sideways in the demon’s direction, giving a horizontal blast of air that he couldn’t dodge.
You called yourself the champion and pat yourself on the back as Belphie is stunned. You really just defeated a delinquent demon with your quirk in seconds, huh?
Belphie tells you you’re alright for a human and rather than pry into what it is, asks if you can prank Lucifer with it.
He’s pretty nonchalant but knows that you can take care of yourself now, and feels a little better with that knowledge since he can’t be with you 24/7.
You’re both going to trip Lucifer on small bits of air occasionally when he’s super tired just to see him lose it.

Slipping Through My Fingers - ABBA
Hoooo I don't know much of ABBA (apart from the very famous ones you know) but this one I like a lot! They have a nice musical signature, I love the way their voices work with the instruments!
It's a good kind of sad, the one I would go back to!
Songs of Storms - Celestial Alignment
Sooooo soothing and chill, really like it! Overall video games' songs are usually very nice to listen to, they always get these Chill Vibes that get you hooked for hours; and this one is no different!
Also... 👏 I see what you did here, I feel like you're proud of yourself (as you should coz that was funny xD)
I'm actually listening to the 40 minutes video while writing this review and it's sooo pleasing omg also fun fact I've only played one Gale of Zelda and it was on my DS and it was Phantom something (of the Hourglass) and I loved this game sooo much I still have it
Lay All Your Love On Me - Cast Of Mamma Mia The Movie
OMG THOSE VOCALS

Moony. Soft Moony. Words cannot express how grateful I am for these recommendations.
Thriller - Michael Jackson
OF COURSE THRILLER

La vie en rose (single version) - Louis Armstrong
I KNOW THIS SONG I LOVE IT!!
I gotta say, I love the way American people are sooo captivated by Edith Piaf (and French things in general)
And I don't have anything else to add on this one because you summed it up so well, Louis Armstrong has such a strong and powerful voice, yet it's also soft; and the way he plays the saxophone... Pure magic
I love that song, really
I Lived - OneRepublic
I really like it! I don't listen that much to OneRep but for the ones I do listen to, they always give of nice vibes; so this one is going (well, already is) in my playlist!
Love the chorus, it's so catchy and Summer Vibes™!
I know about Counting Stars yes, really cool song too!
I recommend Run, I've listened to it on tv last time and it got stuck in my head (in a good way. This is a good song)
prom dress - mxmtoon
I love the cover for this one, it's so cute!
And her voice is really soft, I love it
You know what? I get New Girl Vibes off of this one, like I can perfectly picture Jess doing smth a bit embarassing yet cute and like Nick trying to be embarassing too so she doesn't feel bad
Very cute mood around this song, I really like it!
Omg yes there's Olivia playing rn I'm happy
Get You The Moon - Kina
Hooo I like the beginning
Soft guitar (you can hear the fingers slips against the strings, which is like...my favorite sound when I listen to/play the guitar)
I LOVE IT OMG MOONY THAT'S
Hhhh no words to describe what I feel about this song, I just. Vibe with it.
Voulez-Vous - ABBA
I LOVD THE TITLE yes it's because it's in French; did I tell you I'm a sucker for foreigner using/speaking French? Yeah well, now you know
AND IT'S SO CATCHY OMG I GET WHY YOU LIKE IT SO MUCH
Watch me sing along the French part and listen to it AGAIN just because I can.
Alright, I'm done here! That was SO FUN omg I love doing that
My playlist is filled with Nice Good Recommendations™ it's awesome 😂🥰

You know what? They say using your mothertongue when speaking is easier when you feel strong emotions because it's instinctive so let me tell you
C'est merveilleux, et je suis absolument REMPLIE DE JOIE mon cœur fait boom boom dans ma poitrine 💙
(Which basically means: me happy, heart goes boom boom) 😂😂
IT’S MUSIC TIME MY GOONIES PT. 2
alrighty, it’s time again for me to share some more of my music tastes! really glad you guys like the first one, so i decided to do it again! once again, tagging the lovely @loth-wolffe & @weirdcharacter because they loved what i did the first time, so ya’ll can have a second one lol 😂
also, i’m putting my playlist on shuffle again, so i’m just putting the songs that come on as i go (also, sorry if i do any repeats, i’m trying to remember them all but if i repeat, you can just have another little paragraph about it again 🤣 hehe also, might have skipped around just a little bit, but for the most part this is just what came on lol 😂)
OKAY, OKAY!! HEAR ME OUT!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SONG SANG BY A STRONG FEMALE IN THE ROLE OF THE VILLAIN, THEN ANNAPANTSU IS THE PERSON FOR YOU!! i love this song, i feel so powerful whenever i listen to it. also the movie it’s from is awesome! cover art is spooky, but i love the purple. solid 8/10 on the cover art! also, Anna’s voice is so good! she’s really good and it flows really well with the music! she also has a cover of “prince ali” and at the end she goes so high omg 😆 anyways, at the end of this song, she gets so awesome omg!! she plays the character really well, overall would recommend this song if you wanna feel like a powerful voodoo villain lol 😂
ow, of course a sad ABBA song had to come on right after. so, i love this. also reminds me of Omega now because of all the artwork of seen of it with “slipping through my fingers” in the tags (also in some fics I’ve seen it). It’s ABBA, so ya know, it’s already gonna be good. this is sad, but it still has a good beat, and it’s not slow. the piano is very nice. the duet in the middle of the song is very nice. cover art is confusing?? like idk what is supposed to be happening in it lol 😂, so um 6.5/10 cuz i have no idea what’s going on in it. OMG AND THERE IS HARMONIZATION AT THE END, IT IS SO PRETTY, MAKES THE SAD EVEN MORE PROMINENT!! oh the band at the end is very good! the electric guitar is really good, gets you in the feels. overall, recommend when your in the mood for some sadder 70’s music.
okay, obviously had to have some Zelda beats in here. fun fact: I’ve never played ocarina of time, but this is actually my favorite zelda song of all time. listening to it slowed is even better. it’s like a whole experience in itself. this song is just okay, it doesn’t come up on my playlist very often, but when it does, it’ s chill. beat is good, and the cover art is a solid 7/10 cuz the clouds are very nice. also like how their blue and gray, very cool. love any zelda song, so this song is nice when you want some background noise while working, and it’s just very chill. recommend when you wanna think about the hero clad in green with the blade of evil’s bane. the slowed version is so good, so i’ll link it down below!
Zelda - Song of Storm [slowed + reverb + rain] - Chuckster (love his remixes, he actually slowed the entire soundtrack from Twilight Princess, so recommend checking that out as well!
i slowed down zelda music and cried - Chuckster (okay i didn’t mention this, but this video is just 40 minutes straight of slowed Zelda music, and THE NOSTALGIA I RECEIVE IS INCREDIBLE. RECOMMEND 10000000000% this is also good background music when working!)
Z e l d a w a v e - Marble Pawns (OKAY I’M SORRY, I DIDN’T MENTION THIS ONE EITHER, BUT THIS ONE IS REALLY AWESOME!! REMIXES ARE SO NICE THE SONG OF STORMS ONE IS REALLY WACKY BUT SO COOL!!! OKAY, I’LL STOP LINKING ZELDA MUSIC LOL 😂 did you see what i did there?? i’ll stop “linking” zelda music???)
HAHA YESSSS!!! I SCREAM EVERY TIME THIS SONG COMES ON IT IS SO GOOD!!! OMG THE BEAT IS INCREDIBLE!!! this time, it’s actually from the movie because i like that version better, and the dudes singing in the background are so good! there’s actually this version on YouTube that every time it gets to the chorus it slows down and gets deeper (linking it below)!! lyrics are so good!! i recommend this song if you want to blast this in the car at peak volume, belting out the lyrics. the piano is soooooo good, very funky. cover art is 9/10, love whatever the fake falling thing is that is happening lol 😂 the ending is my favorite it’s so good omg 😆 and the back and forth between sky and sophie is so good!!! and when they sing together?? perfection!!
Lay all your love on me but it gets slower & deeper with each chorus - audio_edits
1 step forward, 3 steps back [clean] - Olivia Rodrigo
OMG YESSS!!! WHEN YOU TOLD ME, WEIRD CHARACTER , THAT YOU HAD NEVER HEARD OF OLIVIA RODRIGO, I JUST KNEW I HAD TO PUT ANOTHER SONG FROM HER IN HERE! okay so like at the beginning there are these birds and piano comes in and its just so pretty. the lyrics are amazing, i love this song. cover art is obviously 10/10 AND THE MUSIC CHANGES WHEN THE CHORUS COMES AND IT IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! this is actually the first song i listened to from SOUR and i absolutely loved it. i also recommend happier, enough for you, traitor, & favorite crime (i have the clean versions in my playlist so i would listen to those if you don’t want curse words lol 😂) AND THE ENDING IS SO SOFT AND BROKEN OMGGGG. RECOMMEND WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT’S SAD BUT SOFT, WANTING TO BLAST IN CAR!!!
SPOOKY HALLOWEEN SONG, SPOOKY HALLOWEEN SONG, SPOOKY HALLOWEEN SONG!!! love this, amazing!! michael jackson is awesome, and this is such a good song that i even listen to it when it’s not halloween (tho i recommend listening to it when it’s actually halloween to amp up the spooky vibes) cover art is a solid 1000000/10, the eyes look so spooky as the moon, coming through the smoke?? perfection!! also there is a spoken word part at the end THAT REALLY MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN A HORROR MOVIE. RECOMMEND THIS SONG IF YOU WANNA FEEL LIKE YOU ARE THE MAIN CHARACTER IN A HORROR MOVIE, OMGGGGGG 😆 and it’s michael jackson, like?? who doesn’t like michael jackson??
if you think i am joking, i am not. this is actually on my playlist, yes. no i will not be removing it anytime soon. so obviously this got popular from TikTok, but its so good lol 😂 i sing and dance to this so much that my family and friends all know it by now. cover art is 15/10 if your just focusing on pablo cuz he’s my fav lmao 😂. this is actually a masterpiece and recommend it for time when you just want to listen to a silly song for a sec.
THIS SONG IS SO SAD, BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH AT THE SAME TIME!! ONCE AGAIN, CLOSED ON SUNDAY IS AMAZING, RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT MORE LOFT REMIXES OF STAR WARS MUSIC LIKE THIS ONE!! the beat is soo good in this one, the there’s like this really soft part in the middle with the piano and beat, it’s really nice. the ending is so quiet and slow omgggg. recommend if you want to listen to some remixed star wars music that on the quieter, sadder side. also cover art hurts my soul, so that should tell you how i rate it lol 😂
i absolutely love this song. the saxophone is so good in this. don’t play it myself, but gosh do i love it. also, the intro is long, really good. the beat is nice, drums and the piano is so complimenting. like i said in my last music sharing post, i love jazzy older tunes, and this is fits that so perfectly. and don’t even get me started on louis armstrong’s voice. its so nice and raspy, cool and calm over the music. omgggg 😌 the lyrics are so lovely. cover art is a solid 10/10, he looks so happy and i love how he’s smiling into the microphone, he’s just straight up vibing in this pic. ALSO THE SAX COMES BACK AT THE END SUPER POWERFUL AND AWESOME, IT’S GREAT!!! recommend this for when you are dancing with your lover in the middle of your living room at twilight.
this is in my playlist because of Unus Annus lol 😂 i also just like the song in general (without associating it with Unus Annus). it’s just one of those songs that you can listen to when you need a pick me up or an inspirational moment. i really like it, the guitar is very nice, acoustics sound so good. love the chorus and the ending! cover art is pretty cool, solid, and it actually represents each member of the band and how they are different from each other (which is so cool, can’t even tell you how cool that is), so 10/10, really like the filter on it too! this song feels like one that you listen to when you’ve overcome something in your life and you are super proud of yourself! recommend to blast in car during the summer with the windows down as the sun sets. also really like counting stars from them, recommend listening to that one too!
mkay, lover mxmtoon. i haven’t listen to any of her other songs, but this one is really good! i like the ukulele and snapping, very nice. her voice is so pretty, very nice with the song! i really like the lyrics and it also feels like a song you would have on a movie during the character’s like embarrassing moment at prom during the movie or something like that lol 😂 (like punch falls on them or something). i really like the cover art for this one, 9/10. the masks in the background are funky and cool! this is nicely paced, more on the faster side but still really good. recommend listening to this when you just want a chill song with some feels in the middle of the night while you stare up at your ceiling.
okay i ran out of music thingys again, but i’m gonna do one more lol 🤣
Get You The Moon - Kina
gosh, i love this song. the beats and the drums in the back?? yes. it’s sad, and i really like how it’s not paced too slow. Kina’s voice is very nice, I love how his voice clashes nicely with the music, very nice. as i said before, i like sad songs, and this hits the spot. the lyrics are really nice, and the cover art is very cool, solid 9/10. like the blurry thing happening. recommend listening to on a late night car drive.
WAIT HOLD ON I WAS GOING TO BE DONE, BUT ANOTHER ABBA SONG JUST CAME ON, SO I HAVE TO DO THAT ONE NOW!!!
Voulez-Vous - ABBA
YESSSS!!! THIS SONG IS SO AWESOME!! OMG THE BEATS, THE ELECTRIC GUITAR, THE KEYBOARD??? 100000000000/10!! LYRICS ARE SO GOOD! THE CHORUS IS REALLY GOOD!!! VERY GOOD TO DANCE TO, LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH OMGGG I CAN’T EVEN TELL YOU!!! THE LITTLE FRENCH LYRICS IN IT?? AWESOME, SO AWESOME!!! RECOMMEND WHEN YOU ARE THE MOOD TO DANCE AROUND TO SOME VERY UPBEAT 70’S MUSIC!!! THEY ALSO DO THESE “AHA’S” AT THE END, AND THEY ARE COOL TOO!!! JUST LOVE THIS SONG!!!
okay, i swear i’m done now, even though then next song coming on (cuz i accidentally skipped forward), is really good too lol maybe i’ll do another one, i really like doing these! i’m so glad you goonies liked the last one, and i hope you like this one too! once again, i hope you enjoy the songs and my very strange and all over the place music taste!
